Lyrics:
Yeah-yeah-yeih
Ey, Maluma, ba-ba-baby
Wuh

The song seemed like pearls to me, and his voice like honey, and after that, I mean from that time on, seeing the harm that came to me because of these and other verses like them, I have believed that from virtuous and harmonious republics poets must be banished, as Plato advised, at least the lascivious ones, because they write verses that are not like those of the Marquis of Mantua, which entertain children and women and make them weep, but are sharp, like tender thorns that pierce your soul and, like bolts of lightning, wound you there without tearing your clothes.
Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote (trans. Edith Grossman

Year 1615:
TW/CW: Death, Infant Death, Miscarriage
Tumblr media
News spread that Matilda and her husband welcomed their third child, a daughter, in January. Not only that but, the young Lady Sofia Laurent turned thirteen being the only child of the Laurent family, unless a son was born she would eventually grow to be the heir of the house.

Agustin's headaches had grown more and more frequent and intense until Vincente found him collapsed on the ground in early May. Adrian was distraught that his young grandson had been the one to find his father in that state, the only comfort he could offer was that Agustin was already gone before he had hit the floor.

Agustin's passing was a good reason for the siblings to reunite in Tartosa once more. They were all together again but it clearly wasn't the same. Worse yet, Frideswide had barely arrived when news that Matilda's youngest had passed broke.

With Agustin gone there wasn't enough funds to keep Francisco and Ramon in their schooling just yet so they returned home for the time being. While they were disappointed, it was comforting to be home and not in some school house towns away while they mourned. Though it was unfortunate that not long after the funeral, Grace returned to her own home back with the Robles family though Ramon did point out that their sister was now a Robles herself.

Frideswide suffered from cramping after Grace left and it was soon apparent that it was a miscarriage. Thankfully her health was fine after it passed.

The loss surprisingly brought her comfort in a way. She hadn't known she was pregnant before the loss and she did want more kids later down the line but if she had gone through the loss at her marital home, her mother-in-law would have made life hell for her more so than she already did. She also would have been trapped again to the woman's whims with a new baby. Being in her childhood home with her grandfather and brothers was therapeutic though. She decided to extend her trip and in doing so she was able to get back to what she truly loved, the arts and her acting. Though she did feel bad when she heard that Julian's sister, Joyce, had been widowed that December, she was fine staying away at least.
