sure it was a perfect storm of a pressure cooker but i promise destiel was about destiel

Will never understand why Spotify keeps trying to advertise Top 40/UK Charts playlists to me, like who tunes into Spotify specifically to listen to a playlist of Top 40 music? You mean the same Top 40 music that is on every radio station 24/7? The same Top 40 music that is forced into your eardrums ad nauseum, to the point where even if you liked the music to begin with, it very soon becomes meaningless and also oddly rage-inducing? The same Top 40 music I trip over on my way out of the house every morning? The same Top 40 hits that break into my brain and beat my sub-consciousness into submission if I so much as LOOK at a device capable of playing music? That Top 40 music? Who on earth needs it to be advertised to them? The sort of people who need a signpost to tell them they're on planet earth?

#This being tumblr I'm sure there's someone somewhere who does think they need it #But like #If you're going to advertise anything I don't understand why you would advertise Top 40 hits #It's like advertising the concept of breathing #All I'm saying is they're not exactly hard to find I don't understand why someone would need to be TOLD that spotify has Top 40 playlists #Also like unless you're a music writer or reporter who has to keep up to date with this stuff #I don't entirely understand the interest in keeping up to date with chart toppers anyway #If you like the music you like it if you don't you don't #Why would you listen to it solely because it's number 39 on some entirely arbritrary chart #But that's beside the point even assuming that you WERE in need of a playlist of Top 40 hits #Surely you woudn't need to be told that spotify has that in abundance #If you even go to spotify for it at all #Surely you know where to find it #I.e. everywhere #This is the 2020s top 40 hits are in the fucking air we breathe #Also yet another thing to file under: reasons I am glad I no longer work in a shop #Loved the work hated the same 5 hits that are permanently engrained in my memory because management tortured us with pop radio
