I was thinking about 1234ji being a hormonal mess. Obviously they didn't get it from Judge, but from whom then?
Sora, the answer is Sora.
Maybe Sanji reacts this way thanks to Zeff's influence, but what about his brothers? They have all been seen to have heart eyes and drool or act silly when seeing a cute girl (Yonji).
So it's not just Sanji's thing. There are many things that a child can inherit from his or their parents genetically and attitudes are one of them.
I don't see Judge being a hormonal mess, he was probably bitter all his life. But I totally see Sora doing it. I know less about Sora than Judge, but doesn't matter, that woman drooled and had heart eyes when she saw someone attractive.
124ji must have very little of Sora, but I want to believe that they have attitudes that are similar to those his mother had, maybe not kindness, but other things, no matter how small.

Okay but- have you think about just ONE of Sanji brothers being good? Like, Ichiji. The most perfect son. The future king of Germa. Ichiji, the first prince. Who has emotions just like Sanji (even if he struggles with them unlike the blonde) and never, ever punched him before, always intenting to subtly stop Niji and Yonji from beating him up. He wishes he could do more, but he can't now.
Until their mother dies and Judge locks his dear younger brother.
It's like something scream to him that he should get Sanji fucking out of here and leave alongside. And he hears. He saves his dear brother and run away, both, together.
And then, both where rescued by Mihawk and the Warlord!Sanji happens, but with Ichiji too.
Unlike the blonde, he really don't like interacting and prefers to stay hidden/with his parents (mostly Dracule and Croc). He gets surprised when the news about Portgas D. "Fire Fist" Ace being Sanji's boyfriend comes out during Marineford, but he helps stop the execution.
God, anon, this is fucking gold I love it. Holy shit. I love your brain. It got out of hand and like Ichiji is too important for it to be just glanced over.
Ichiji who just can't wrap his head around why they're different but knows he needs to protect Sanji and save him. He may be the Crown Prince, superseding his older sister for whatever awful reason and doesn't understand his emotions like Sanji does and Sora tries to help. Ichiji who helps Sanji get patched up when he can't stop Niji and Yonji and Reiju turns her head and scoffs. Then their mother dies.
Then Sanji dies.
Except he's not dead. He's in the dungeon with a helmet and Ichiji feels the pure rage and eventually breaks them both out and breaks the helmet of Sanji who is so much smaller than he should be. They work on the Orbit and when Zeff attacks and saves them on the rock it takes Ichiji much longer to starve than Sanji but he does. They find Zeff who gave his leg for them and their dreams, for Sanji to find the All Blue and Ichiji to be there for his brother and find his way in life.
When Mihawk picks them up he's absorbing the information he is given and suddenly has two kids coming with him to Kuraigana and they're twins but completely different sizes and Ichiji tells him everything about Germa and what's been happening to them. Mihawk is just staring at the brothers in both disbelief and horror and decides he's not going to really let them out of his sight.
The first Warlord meeting they attend with Mihawk, Sanji is still hiding in Mihawk's coat and Ichiji is glaring at them from Mihawk's side with crossed arms. Everyone is looking at the children but the meeting is normal except for the children reading under the table. The meeting takes forever and they fall asleep and Doffy pulls them both out because he's long, not only is he tall he's just long and when he looks at Mihawk because this is some typa shit Doffy has pulled, like he has kids that he acquired somehow.
"Would you believe they're twins?" Mihawk asks dully as Doffy holds them.
"What the fuck did you do to them?" Crocodile asks.
"They came like that." Mihawk sighs.
"Did you buy children?" Boa asks with anger.
"No, I saved them and Redleg from a rock and they came with me." Mihawk responds. The warlords stare at them. "They're also the presumed dead princes of Germa."
"Hawkeye, with all due respect, what were you thinking?" Jinbei asks as he rubs his temples.
"I don't know." Mihawk answers truthfully.
The next meeting the other four have managed to pull together some things maybe the boys will like. Maybe. There's some drawing stuff, more laid back children's books, a book of maps. The boys are staring at them but give their thanks as they settle in for the meeting and afterwards the warlords try to talk to them but Ichiji answers mostly. Sanji hiding behind him, nervous, as the elder talks to the most dangerous pirates of the seas about their dreams.
When Mihawk goes on the job Croc still takes them first. Sanji and Ichiji are enamored with Anna and the bananawanis and they get along great with her and it's actually really nice for them to have a pet, even for a short period of time that isn't trying to kill them and eat them. At some point Ichiji shoots lasers at somebody who got a little too close. No one was hurt but Baroque works is staring at the kid with confusion as Ichiji shrugs them off. When Crocodile asks the only answer he is given is a shrug by Mihawk.
Then Doffy kidnaps them because there's another job and everyone is arguing over the laser kid and his little cook of a brother and who gets to take them. Doffy sees an opportunity and just takes them without anyone noticing and gets them lunch before they leave and he strings along the city making them laugh. Baby 5 and Ichiji love sparring and Sanji is allowed in the kitchen at his pleasure. When Doffy is holding the three of them to put to bed he can feel a weird feeling in his chest and he doesn't like it. He killed his brother he doesn't want to kill them too.
While Jinbei has them he teaches them about meditation and learns a lot about them because he is much calmer than the previous warlords. He calmly takes Ichiji's worry and agression as he trains them. Ichiji is fiercely protective because of their past. Jinbei simply acknowledges this and says he does need to let Sanji move forward, for both of them to be their own person. Sanji says he should find his own dream and as much as he loves Ichiji his life shouldn't revolve around protecting him. Their mother would have wanted him to be free too and if he's tied to Sanji that isn't freedom. Ichiji thinks a lot about that and decides he's still going to protect Sanji or will beat up whoever beats Sanji up. Jinbei laughs full bellied and loud and says that's a good start and asks if there's anything he likes to do. Turns out Ichiji has been getting a lot of use out of the drawing supplies and Jinbei nods. Of course the brothers have picked artistic talents of their own, similar yet distinct enough to be their own.
When Boa gets them she's going to treat them like the little princes they were except they don't really have clothes for boys there. So they're put in dresses and extra flowy pants and shirts. Boa smiling and taking care of them as they adjust to being royalty where it's not a fight to death or being on edge that they're going to be attacked. Boa and her sisters explain that most royal systems are not like Germa. They find they like the styles of the shirts and pants and dresses better than a lot of things they've worn and they have the ability to show their differences because they've mostly just been dressed in the same type of training clothes. So to be able to not be in training clothes or numbered like in Germa is huge to them and Ichiji runs around with Sanji on his back and they're laughing on the beaches of Amazon Lily and Boa smiles as she puts their joy into her mind forever.
They grow up well loved and doing what they love. Perona fully adopts them as her baby brothers and dolls them up. She's four years older than them and takes them out for the boring parts of warlord meetings/parent hand overs. She is the cool goth older sister who absolutely buys them cigarettes. She, Baby 5, and Ichiji have also somehow formed a makeshift gang that follows Sanji much to his displeasure but it's so fucking funny for laser beams to fry a Marine's cap when they're getting a little too close to Sanji. Or when Sanji is working a waiter or dishwasher or whoever. No matter what the parents say.
Except they miss when Sanji sets off and Ichiji pouts on Kuraigana for months. Sanji doesn't call or write and his poster is fucking awful. When he and Mihawk go to Ace's execution after Perona and Zoro arrive and Ichiji avoids him so that he doesn't wig the swordsman out. During the war his transponder goes off from Mihawk.
"Fire Fist is dating Sanji." Is all that's said so Ichiji joins the fray with his laser eyes. They save Ace and Luffy get them out. He goes with Crocodile after the war. Eventually on Karai Bari when the Strawhats and Ace, newly a part of the crew, show up. Ace and Luffy point at Ichiji and say that he's the red Sanji from Marineford.
"So you guys got Dad arrested, and Mama is dealing with the whole Navy thing by herself and Pops is on your crew?" Ichiji asks Sanji.
"On top of waging war against two emperors which one is dead, and the other is just...fucked up, I guess." Sanji nods.
"You have anything cool now?" Ichiji asks.
"I can sky walk and set myself on fire." Sanji nods.
"Fucking shit if Boa sends her damn snake on us, I'm feeding it to Anna." Crocodile grouses.
"There are much bigger things to deal with." Mihawk assures Crocodile. "For example, Fire Fist needs a proper shovel talk and I'm leaving that up to you both." Mihawk says he leaves.
"Oh right." Ichiji grins as Ace looks at Sanji.
"He helped me escape Tottoland, he doesn't need a shovel talk!" Sanji defends.
"Wrong." Crocodile and Ichiji retort as Sanji sighs and everyone starts asking who the fuck raised them.

while i do agree that stealth black is def the most sadistic out of the five them (with reiju coming in second place, they both work perfectly in any assassination ploy), he has a huge soft spot for soft animals

thinking about younger 124ji as years of this kind of unchecked thinking and behaviour, mixed with their unnatural lack of empathy bringing them to the cartoonist extremes they display in canon.

AU where the poison Sora took works on 124ji but only barely. They're emotionless for the most part, with the exception of their love for Sanji. A small bud of love nestled in their empty hearts.
Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji, who are monsters to everyone else but love their precious little brother.
124ji who feels that love deeply because it's the only emotion they can feel, and it warps into possessiveness and protectiveness.
If Sanji is put into any form of harm, they go ballistic.
Incident 1: Sanji gets told off during a learning session for playing with a turtle instead of listening. The tutor smacks his hands, and Sanji cries out.
Days later, the tutor is found dead. His hands have been cut clean off as if they were lasered.
Incident 2: During a training exercise where Sanji, as usual, fails to keep up with his brothers, a soldier comments on how weak it is within earshot of Niji.
Niji demands a spar from the guard and leaves him near death for daring to insult his brother.
Incident 3: During a routine check-up, Sanji is made to go through several tests to check 'what's wrong with him' and Yonji was in the same room when they started poking and prodding his big brother with sharp tools.
That day, they lost half their scientists to Yonji's rage.
All of this is building up over the years until Judge loses more and more staff and turns to cloned soldiers. He doesn't know what went wrong. His 3 sons are perfect for the most part, but Sanji is their one blind spot, the only person capable of making them act out.
Something has to be done about him.
Judge tries. He locks up Sanji, tells his siblings that he died, and they're better off without him, thinks that's the end of it.
He underestimates them, his three sons and his daughter. He underestimates how much they love Sanji. The moment they hear their brother is dead, they go on a rampage. Judge makes the mistake of telling them it was for their own good, that the failure was just holding them back from their true potential. The siblings make the connection.
Judge had their precious brother killed.
(He didn't stand a chance against all four of them.)
And then, much much later, they find Sanji again, crying as his brothers and sister bust him out of his cell and drown him in hugs.
But this isn't the end. Sanji isn't for Germa, and Germa isn't for Sanji.
If you love someone, you set them free.
Reiju isn't the only one to see him off as he climbs aboard The Orbit. Next to her are Ichiji, Niji and Yonji, watching their littlest brother leave them.
Although Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji are incapable of crying, of sadness, something about watching Sanji's ship grow smaller squeezes something inside them. Or rather, something begins to bloom alongside that little bud of love that started with Sanji.

Kind of related to this other picture. The original idea was just about Yonji specifically, but I didn't want Ichiji and Niji to be left out.
The prompt/headcanon was someone saying "What if 124ji only have the power mods, but don't have any emotion change, like Reiju".
Because of their shades it's just funny imagining Ichiji and Niji acting like mafia bodyguard/secret service, like in that meme photo of the bodyguard cats.
...Maybe if he had grown up with all the ~royal stuff~ Sanji might not have the beard, but it just feels wrong seeing him without it XD

Let's talk about Niji and Sanj.
Let's start with something simple. When Ichiji and Niji return to Germa, they are greeted with exclamations and praise, but Niji only thinks about the fact that Sanji was not there to greet them and becomes angry.
In the anime there is also a scene where Niji AGAIN asks where Sanji was. When Reiju and Sanji arrive, Niji approaches him smiling and congratulates him on the engagement, but Sanji doesn't respond and gets angry again. Seeing the handcuffs, Niji mocks Sanji and gets angry once again when Sanji smacks him. I just see Niji wanting to bully Sanji again and have under him like he was in the past; Niji wanted to have power over Sanji and he didn't like the idea of his passive brother responding to him or counterattacking him.
During dinner, when Judge stops talking, the first thing Niji does is talk to Sanji, telling him that he never thought would be any help. He says it in a kind of smile and then says: "sometimes we remembered you" he also adds that it was ALMOST always thinking of amazing and funny ways in which Sanji would die. Where can we put that almost? What else were they talking about? Maybe he had a moment of humanity and wondered if his little brother that he could never love was okay? Just saying that they were talking about Sanji is more than enough to say that he cared at least somewhat. If really didn't care, then he wouldn't have even bothered to think about the different ways Sanji could have died. He wouldn't even have remembered Sanji if he was like that.
When Sanji interrupts him and tells him to eat, Niji looks taken aback for a second, perhaps realizing that Sanji doesn't mind being made fun of. Niji explains why he is not going to eat and Sanji orders him to eat it and insults him. Niji becomes enraged and tells Sanji that he can't get away with talking to him like that. I have several ideas about this small part of the interaction. In the past, Sanji would NEVER have dared to talk to Niji that way, but now he does and it infuriates Niji, going back to what I said a moment ago, Niji wants and HOPES that Sanji is still beneath him, because In his family it seems that the birth number is the most important. Ichiji is clearly the most important as he is the first son and the one with the most authority. Niji is the second, who is above Sanji and must only expect his younger brother to obey him or be docile. Sanji is no longer a child scared of his brothers, if he has to answer to Niji, he does it.
Feeling humiliated and to prove his position, he calls Cosette because "his younger brother insulted him because of the unpleasant food." Without expecting it, because technically it shouldn't have happened; Niji throws the plate of food in Cosette's face and Sanji gets in the way. Niji asks if he went crazy and doesn't understand when Sanji protects the maid. Sanji eats the food off the floor and Niji, very exaggeratedly, says that it is the most disgusting thing he has ever seen. Silly boy, you're a mercenary, how can that be the most disgusting thing you've ever seen? Furthermore, the floor had to be quite clean.
Niji realizes that verbally intimidating Sanji is no longer working and decides to discipline Sanji the only way he knows how, that his brother will understand. Niji gets up and rushes to kick Sanji, telling him that if he insists on calling himself his brother, he wouldn't put up with such an unpleasant act. As far as I can remember, Sanji never showed any intention of wanting to have any kind of relationship with them, especially calling himself their brother. I guess that's something Niji wants; recover the little brother that he lost many years ago and doesn't know that missed.
Sanji doesn't even react and Niji sighs, saying that he's is the family's misfortune.
Later, still quite offended and angry about what happens at dinner, Niji punches Cosette. Realizing that intimidating Sanji doesn't work, he decides to go after Cosette, because he knows that it will provoke some reaction in Sanji.
I need to point out the fact that one of Niji's moves is called "stealth". Don't be too obvious, Niji. Niji was able to simply appear behind Sanji without the need to use the word stealth, which is obviously a reference to Sanji's name "Stealth Black". (No one makes me believe otherwise)
Niji grabs him from behind and challenges Sanji to try to fight again. Here again, Niji has the power and authority he wanted over Sanji.
During a childhood flashback, Judge says that Sanji is dead and Niji seems quite confused and asks, "did he really die?" He is the only one confused, while 14ji was smiling.
When Sanji attacks Luffy, all of his brothers (except Reiju) are smiling. Sanji tells Luffy that his name is Vinsmoke Sanji and that he is a prince, and I interpreted the smile and "happiness" of his brothers as a way in which Sanji accepts being his family, that is, now YES Sanji would be claiming to be a brother from Niji as he hinted at dinner.
While they escape at the wedding I'm going to mention Niji worrying about Reiju <3 and this:
They literally have another attack where they indirectly mention Sanji, also, you just need to see the distance between the brothers, there is a fairly large space between Yonji and Niji where Sanji should go…
Being surrounded, his brothers surround him, protecting Sanji WITH THEIR OWN BODIES.
Helping him escape, Niji is the only one who maintains physical contact with Sanji, protecting him, again with his own body.
Niji scoffs and tells him that if he goes at that speed, he'll end up full of holes. Do I smell concern or just random mockery?
Niji says goodbye to Sanji and throws him away.
In the end, Niji and Yonji are captured by Big Mom. So when they help protect Sanji and get him out of Whole Cake, we all know they're doing it for Sanji and not because they were angry about Big Mom's betrayal. As soon as Sanji arrives at the Sunny, Ichiji tells them to leave because his mission is accomplished. Niji or anyone could have refused to return to Whole Cake, because supposedly the Germa fell and they were all dead, why would they come back just to get revenge on Big Mom when they know they would lose? They only came back for Sanji and even if they tried to deny it, no one would believe them.
I guess in some way they do care about Sanji, they just don't know how to show it.
And a reminder that Sanji's raid suit in an art is exactly the same as Niji's. (Not to mention that o-soba mask's raid suit is also very similar to Niji's)

Okay uh- the same anon from Warlord!Sanji+Ichiji, but this time for a Good!Niji and Good!Yonji au.
Good!Niji is pretty much the same as Good!Ichiji, he never beat Sanji up and always intent to subtly stop the other two. He runs away with his young brother and is saved not by Mihawk from the rock, but for the Whitebeards. So this turns into a Shirohige!Sanji+Niji thing.
Good!Yonji is similar too, instaed Sanji is his older brother. He is saved alongside his sibling from the rock for Jinbei. So y'know, Fishman!Sanji+Yonji.
(All if them have Acesan, though. And obvisiously they're protective as hell with Sanji)
I love the Good!124ji. I love Sanji having good siblings. Also Shirohige!Niji coming back like in the blue! series.
Niji and Sanji being brought to the Shirohige and Sanji is still the baby because he's a few minutes younger and Niji is modified. I personally headcanon that Niji has poor eyesight hence the goggles so he is given real glasses while Sanji is stuck in sunglasses from the glare of the ocean. They are both the last brats and the last babies aboard and everyone is smitten with having them around. Marco is of course giving them the best care he can White Beard does carry them around a lot. Like an absurd amount truthfully. This does however encourage the others to also do this but it's really fun when they're in Marco's talons and being flown around.
When Ace joins Niji isn't particularly fond of the new guy calling his little brother 'blondie' or how flustered it made Sanji. Despite them both already having hefty bounties for new pirates, Ace is still relatively green and when he comes up as a commander Niji and Sanji join the Second Division and when Teach kills Thatch they're all off on the hunt. Niji understands that Ace and Sanji are dating but refuses to acknowledge it most of the time. Except at Marineford when they all think Sanji died.
When the three of them officially join the Strawhat Pirates and Ace and Sanji are given their own room again Niji full cocks Sanji for the dead thing. After Niji is calmed down about that Sanji is like 'wanna see a new trick' and starts sky walking. Niji immediately tries to shock his little brother. Ace is laughing so hard he's choking and wheezing. When they meet Jinbei for real Ace is like 'this is my husband, Sanji. This is his older brother, Niji. Sanji can set himself on fire without a fruit and Niji has electric powers without a fruit.' and Niji thumps Ace so fucking hard for that.
Good!Yonji who finds his older brother and gets him out without Judge finding them but he can't get the helmet off of Sanji. Sanji keeps telling him not to worry about it because Sanji is his older brother and he's supposed to be protecting Yonji. Then they're found by the fishmen and brought to Fishman Island. Jinbei is of course startled by them but does quickly take to the boys and raises them. They're introduced to the royals and are welcomed to Fishman Island officially.
They both train in Fishman Karate and haki and everything become prodigies in their own right. They are pretty inseperable but Sanji insists he's going to find the All Blue and Yonji is more than happy to stay with Jinbei and help with the relations and politics. Yonji is doesn't know what to do when Jinbei is in prison and then he watches his brother's captain lose his brother without knowing where any of the crew is. When the Strawhats come by a couple years later Yonji rips Sanji to him with his winch hands and the crew is ready to fight despite Sanji trying to calm his younger brother down. Jinbei is trying to calm them down and Sanji is threatening to kick Yonji with fire.
It's a whole thing. The crew is very confused as Sanji is explaining to them that this is his little brother, yes he's taller, that's not something they're going to talk about. When they're done on the island and leaving they're waving and promising to see each other again. THen they find out about Sanji and the promise to help Luffy that Jinbei has they decide fuck it and go. When they arrive to help get them out the Vinsmokes are staring at them because unlike Niji, Yonji does not have a wanted poster and has stayed out of the news. So the other Vinsmokes are confused that he's there with Jinbei and calling him 'dad' with Sanji.
They join the crew and in Wano Sanji jokes that he has two moss patches to take care of now which makes both Zoro and Yonji go for him.

Fanfic idea #01
Inspired by this idea of Vinsmoke siblings gaining emotions, here is my first take on fanfic idea:
(I'm not good at writing so just throwing it out there...)
After WCI, Reiju and Ichiji rescued Niji and Yonji from Big Mom's territory, and they were quite injured on the way out. They all needed blood transfusion, especially Niji and Yonji whose blood was left at the bare minimum amount for keeping them alive (but not awake). However, the blood supplies in Germa's lab was not compatible with them, even that it was their original blood. Neither Reiju nor Ichiji's blood could help solve the situation as their own blood were modified to their own abilities. Turned out that during the fights at WCI, Sanji's blood somehow got into their veins, mixed up with their own blood and miraculously created a new kind for each of them, which Germa's lab had no control over. Judge was, of course, furious as the 'failure' messed up his 'perfect solders'. He decided to toss them and created a new batch so that they were not affected by any blood-related issues.
(Judge may or may not tell the scientists to end them or let them be without any blood transfusion, and in the event that he did, Ichiji and Reiju had to fight to escape and took their brothers with them.)
Even though she was not fond of the three brothers, growing up with them did have some bonds to Reiju. After all, they were influenced by Sanji's blood, and she experienced that from the very early stage when she took care of him. So when Ichiji asked Reiju to sail with him and the two unconscious brothers on a stolen snail ship to follow the Straw Hat's ship, after knowing that they were tossed aside, she agreed.
Their snail ship caught up to the Straw Hat on Wano's land, after Wano's fights finished. Reiji spoke to Sanji about the situation while the rest of the Straw Hat stayed alerted, notably Zoro whose hand was on his swords the entire of the conversation. He did not like the presence of the cook's siblings, especially the death path that the cook asked for if he ever lost his mind by the genetics awaken. Yet Sanji, being the kindest man of himself, agreed to donate some of his blood. And Chopper, being the genius doctor of the ship, found out the compatible blood kind for each of them (meaning Reiju, Ichiji, Niji and Yonji) and utilized the facility on the snail ship to multiply the blood supplies.
(And Robin being the protective mom, accompany Chopper to the ship.)
And with Sanji's blood in their system, they started to encounter things that were not registered in their systems before.
Physical pain. The pain of injuries, bruise, burns coming from the organs, from the flesh as a result of constant practices and fights.
Invisible pain. It came as the sorrow of their mother's passing that they could not express at that moment, the guilt of bullying their own brother for being different, the remorse for all the horrible things they had done that would haunt them till the end of life.
Some weird 'feelings' that could be described as 'an interesting annoyance' that centered around Zoro and Sanji.
Zoro, despite his hateful behavior towards Sanji's siblings, respected the cook's decision. After all, it was Sanji's call, not him. Instead, he presented around Sanji most of the time: in the ship's kitchen when he cooked something for the siblings (because in Sanji's mind they all needed food and Sanji fed others); he followed Sanji when he brought the food for the siblings: he may or may not guard the kitchen when Ichiji attempted to talk with Sanji... To the point that Sanji assured him that he would not run away again. Regardless, Zoro definitely threatened 124ji with Enma the moment they recovered without Sanji presence. To which Reiju actually encouraged Zoro to ask Sanji out, as she saw through his actions, while the three brothers pretentiously protested and ticked him off in the similar way that Sanji usually did. No doubt they were his siblings.
(I like the original idea in the post that the 'highlight' of their awaken emotions was to see Zoro's flirting through the usual bickering with oblivious Sanji.)
The siblings were now granted a new life. Once again, they owned Sanji their lives. Sanji just dismissed that and told them to take a good advantage of this second chance to live with freedom. Sanji may or may not tell them to stay away from Germa as the kingdom would fail eventually, or if they wanted to take over, form an ally with the Revolution Army and rebuild the reputation then.
Side note: I also like the idea of the cooking competition at Wano (with the prize of all the rarest spices and ingredients to the wining party, of course, Sanji wanted it) having both the siblings and Straw Hats supporting Sanji. Like, Niji and Zoro was fighting over who would offer their sword to Sanji to handle a delicate fish or a tough cut of meat. Or Yonji and Luffy fought over who helped finished more dishes that contributed to the dominant result at the end. Ichiji, deep inside, was a little bitter on not contributing to the help while putting on the pretend modest elder brother face (he may or may not ask Sanji if he needed help igniting the wood oven/grill or roast the meat, to which Sanji refused at the risk of Ichiji may blow up the kitchen). Reiju, Nami, and Robin had a blast witnessing some comedic moments of their lives. To Nami and Robin, it was on a daily basis, but to Reiju, it was the first time. Their first time, freely enjoyed 'feelings' to their heart content.

whats this, more raging stealth black?! gasp!

judge, in an attempt to ensure sanji does 'fall back into bad habits', messed with Sanji's ability to taste food, has him banned from being anywhere close to the kitchens, and even has forced 124ji to refrain from making comments about the food for the foreseeable future. they dont want to risk triggering anything too soon after his 'recovery'
of course, while in the infirmary, sanji just figured he was getting standard grade mild hospital food so he was (subconsciously) looking forward to his first real meal afterwards. and it smelled so good! but then he took the bite... and it just tasted like mushy cardboard. as did every bite afterwards. glancing around at his family, they all seemed just fine with the meal... so perhaps thats just how it was then? was food/eating just like emotions, something they preformed, an end to a mean? food was fuel, not a leisure activity, he supposed...
so, choking down his food, he said nothing
food was just fuel
just another drop in the pool, another small itch in the back of his mind, the growing sense of something being off
overtime he starts skipping meals, brushing them off altogether or asking for someone to just puree it for him so he can down it while he works. his time is more well spent furthering their plans than spent chewing on cardboard. he tries not to acknowledge the way something in his reiju's eyes breaks at that nor to claw at the spot where judge proudly clapped his shoulder for his taking initiative. his brothers remain oddly quiet, glancing between each other as niji snorts
it doesnt matter
what does matter is the strange burning sensation in his chest that has him biting back snarls at soilders that waste his time with meaningless compliments or the way he has to fight his face to remain neutral when yonji laughs or how his body aches, shoulders twinging from the tense posture he holds in his fathers presence
he is a a vinsmoke. he is a cyborg. he is an unfeeling, unflappable soldier meant to spread the glory of germa across the land and sea, no mere emotion nor man could ever hold him back
so why is it then that he finds himself clenched into a tight ball, hands ripping at his own hair, desperate to forget the feeling that came when that burning desire nearly succeeded in breaking free after a maid bumped into him in the hallway, flowing out of him with a snarl and its only his carefully honed control snapping back in place that allows the maid to keep standing where she is, pressed fearfully against the hallway wall
his hand, frozen midair, right where he caught himself before the hit could land across her face
the books in his hands have been long forgotten where they lay in the hallway after he dropped them and ran blindly. he doesnt know where he is, only that its quiet, dark, and he is alone with his ragged breathing. he curls up tighter, desperately trying to push down everything, the bile in his throught, the memory of the maids fear in his mind, and the horribly, confusingly angry tears that burn at his eyes
it shouldn't matter, he shouldn't feel, he shouldn't care, and yet, and yet, and yet
something snaps inside him as he yanks out a clump of his own hair, something bloody and visceral and uncontrollable
because he can no longer sate himself with soothing lies of his family's love and blood-born honor, not when he is so clearly broken and wrong and all he ever wants to do is scream and burn it all down, starving for something more he cant even recall
covered in his own blood, snot, and tears, sanji realizes how little he truly knows
with the plans to strike the strawhats down moving ever closer, he stands and begins his charting own.
in the meantime, he works. he trains. he studies.
he researches.
and he learns.
so, suffice to say, he's not happy with what he learns. the life of one blackleg sanji, sprawled before in clippings from newspapers across the years, some freshly printed, others yellow with age. faces in photos that he swears he knows yet cannot name make him break a wall with one flaming kick.
(the oldest of them is that of a restaurant opening in a far off ocean - but he couldnt read more before the paper turned to ash in his grasp thanks to the flames creeping up his body)
the only road forward, he realizes, is one that leads to their deaths. vinsmoke judge and everything hes ever had a hand in... this world was not just nor right, just an endless stretch of monsters like him ruining everything. death, admittedly, would be a mercy in the longrun.
he'd make it slow
they never even noticed him pulling away, sneaking into labs and war rooms across the floating kingdom. never questioned the bags beneath his eyes so long as he got them the results they desired. they trusted him, it seemed.
or maybe they just didnt care. is health really all that important when you can just throw them into a test tube and-and try again? dig into their brain and pull out every piece that makes them, them, and see if it works now. lie when you cant dig a scalpel in and hope for the best.
when the day finally came, only three before they were suppose to make the final move of the strawhats, sanji sneaks into the kitchen, aided by his new improved raid suit and his family's growing compliancy. they no longer parole the kitchens like bloodhounds, ready to turn him the other way.
as thanks, he adds something special to his siblings dishes
hes no fool, hes aware he likely couldn't take them all on his own. underhanded techniques never bothered them before, so this shouldn't be any different. besides, they werent his focus
no one says anything about the food or... any odd tastes, per usual thanks to judges standing orders. he bites his lip hard enough to draw blood just to fight back a smile as he spots a tremble in ichiji's hand as dinner draws to a close and dessert is sat before them. niji keeps pinching the bridge of his nose amd yonji eyes take on a strange glaze as he stares out a window
reiju looks at sanji, her ever present fake smile dropping away
the show begins like fireworks, lighting up the evening sky, his many bombs hidden about all going off at once
he listens and revels in the sound the labs make as they turn into flaming rubble, explosions bursting across the many snails in their armada, of his fathers fantic commands, his brothers confusion, and his sisters silence
the germa kingdom crumbles, flames crawling across the snails, the smaller of which begin writhing in pain as theyre cooked alive
he probably should of kept the charades going on for longer, but sanji just couldn't help the bitter laughter that welled up at his fathers flushed face, which only causes him to seeth more and sanji can barely breath through his manic laughter
at the very least, judge seems to catch on when yonji crashes to the ground, unconscious, without ever being touched and ichiji is swaying on his feet where he stands. niji hasnt gotten up, clutching table like a lifeline as he snarls in sanjis direction.
its invigorating, watching the fear creep into each ones eyes, fear they claim to not have nor know. judge can only watch as his kingdom burns and his precious soilders crumble, all thanks to one of their own
and the night has only begun
(in all the excitement, none of them see the ship approaching on the horizon, the lion shaped head glowing in the suns dying light and crackling flames)
