I think it's rlly interesting that when Gregory first meets teen Mike he's smoking, and he dies from fire. Especially because most teens steal cigarettes from their parents stash to start off, but mostly bc of their connection to fire and how they hurt your health - like he's been using fire to destroy himself long before the blaze.
Anyway on a lighter note, I like to think the rain just. Immediately starts as soon as Gregory starts giving Michael the puppy eyes. Michael tells himself he ain't gonna fall for the puppy eyes this time during his grounding and then it starts raining and he's raiding the Freddy's lost and found with more anxiety than a mother on her kids 1st day of preschool.
