Begging swifties to understand that Taylor didn’t write reputation and Lover with the knowledge of how the relationship was going to end and that trying to “excavate” those albums for evidence to prove a specific theory as to why it ended is not how they should be viewed. Taylor wrote those songs feeling a very specific way because that’s what she was experiencing and she is now reflecting on them with hindsight and relates to them differently than when she first created them. These conflicting emotions can exist; how she views it now doesn’t diminish how she felt about it when she first released it.

thinking about malevolent and how there is no way getting around that arthur's not a very good person. especially after some of the stuff we found out in part 31, but that's been a well established fact for a good while now. he's not a particularly great person and he does some awful things and some of his actions are straight-up horrifying and still we as an audience love him. still the story sympathizes with him. because he's just a person, trying his best, and people break and people do shitty things and that doesn't mean they never deserve understanding or love. to me, the point of malevolent is that, even when our actions deserve nothing, the sheer act of being human makes us - our very selves regardless of the things we've done - deserving of love

Okay, last night, I saw someone talking about how Eddie is not cool, that he's a little raccoon man, and yes, yes, we all know this. He is, in fact, Eddie "the Freak" Munson.

However, I feel the need to point out that Eddie is nothing if not the portrait of (at least portrayed) confidence, and confidence absolutely makes people more charismatic and likable. So I'd argue that Eddie is cool. And a little freak. Because he's confident in his little freak ways. That's why Mike and Dustin are so goddamn enamored with him. Why he's the shepherd of his little flock of sheep.

Objectively, climbing on lunch tables and pretending to punch trees and doodling band logos in your notebooks? Uncool things. But he owns them, and that's what makes him such a charismatic bastard.

so i just finished the bear. and i knew there was gonna be a scene where carmy said smth fucked up to claire or some shit?? well. i watched the last ep, right? right.

HE DIDNT EVEN WANNA SAY ALL THAT TO CLAIRE!!! he was VENTING to tina, he was STUCK on the fucking walk-in, on the most stressful day of his life up until that moment. like, tbh? that scene didnt make me angry. it made me SAD. so fucking sad

because it showed just how fucked up normal everyday life can be. claire was a good thing. carmy was DRUNK on that good thing and he literally almost fucked up everything with his project with syd. like. no joke. most if not all problems with the bear (restaurant) happened cuz carmy was fucking around n finding out.

n yknow what? he found out. there was literally no worse time for him to get caught up in dating than that time. he was needed elsewhere. and he was not there. repeatedly. he tried ofc. but he still wasnt there. all because he was so unused to good things, we know this, he says it, that when he got claire he couldnt get enough. it felt GOOD.

and then what happened? the second he realized that this good thing was affecting smth else in his life in any negative way? he panicked. he goes "see? this is why i cant have nice things, look at all this, its all fucked and its all my fault cuz i kid myself into thinking i could have smth GOOD" and he COULD just not how he was doing it!!! but thats it!!!

he does not know HOW to have good things!!! he doesnt!!! he has no experience!!! and you know what happened??? he Made A Mistake. and guess what? thats what everyone does on this show all the time

the claire breakup thing or whatever is literally just a sad scene, its not supposed to make u hate carmy like what r yall doing??? legitimately, are yall using yalls brains?? god.
