I work at a hospital as a central monitor technician. I (and the 2-3 other techs) sit in the basement for 12 hours and watch patients who are on cardiac monitoring, and I communicate (generally via a secure chat function) as needed with the nurses assigned to those patients. The communication is often the hard part, especially if I'm working with a nurse who doesn't work on one of our cardiac floors.
Yesterday I had a patient in the birthing center, which is very rare - but the nurse was fantastic. She did a wonderful job communicating with me, up to and including letting me know that the patient was being transferred to a different unit so that I didn't worry when the patient came off monitoring. I was so grateful, and so (even though I had praised her in our shift report, which gets passed on from our manager to the appropriate unit) I reached out to her at the end of shift to really quickly let her know how great of a job she had done, and how sincerely grateful I was to have worked with her during the shift.
She wrote back telling me it was the nicest thing anyone had ever written to her, and that she had especially needed to hear it then, because she felt as though she was doing a terrible job and like she was failing her patient. I reassured her that she had done a wonderful job, and we wished each other a great night.
I don't know if I'll ever need to work with that nurse again; I certainly wouldn't be able to pick her out of a crowd. But I do know that I made a difference for her, and she made one for me, and I think that's really beautiful.

Ok I can’t help but wonder what would happen if Ronal and Tonowari actually took it slow with the reader?? 🧐
I feel like Na'vi courting and mating rituals are actually quite intricate, and often follow a lot of unspoken rules. They're so damn expressive -- their features lend themselves to non-verbal communication with their big eyes, felin ears, and long tails. So much of their body language would go clean over your head - not because you're stupid, but because humans just don't talk like that. Our micro-expressions are usually expressed through our eyes, mouth, and eyebrows, but the Na'vi don't have eyebrows. Just because of the simple, basic differences, you would miss a lot of the cues that they would be putting down.
If we're going by the events in pxelo, the first thing you notice is the staring. But naturally, that's all you notice - you don't see how their wariness wanes over time and begins to change into pupils dilated in interest, or how their tails are lifted and coiling with interest.
When Tonowari walks by the marui every goddamn day, you just assume he's coming to talk to Jake about whatever warrior business they usually discuss. It would take you a pretty long time to notice that Jake is usually gone when he wanders past, and that whenever he starts to hover it's around you alone. It's only natural that you interpret that as him mistrusting you around the children and the village in general, isn't it?
When Ronal brings you fruit to make sure that you're eating properly, it's perfectly understandable that you assume the gift is actually for Neytiri, like a sort of peace offering. It doesn't occur to you that she's trying to display her skills as a provider, because why would it?
If they were to take it slow, their next step would be increased touches. Any self-respecting Na'vi would recognise these touches for what they are instantly. They might lay a hand on your head as they pass by, lingering around your hair. Perhaps they lay a lingering touch on your waist or shoulder as they're walking around you. You just assume they're trying to move you out of the way.
Eventually, they'll be forced to step up their game. Tonowari is loving the challenge - it's new and exciting, and he spends a significant portion of his days speculating about the best way to catch your attention. Ronal is loving it less - she's beginning to grow frustrated. She hates not knowing where she stands with someone; she knows that you have some sort of interest in them (you're staring back at them, after all! you care for their children and watch over them when they are not around!), but she just can't figure out why you're so reluctant to accept their advances.
When they finally progress into proper courtship gifts, something is going to twig with you. After all, why would this big alien married couple be gifting such pretty shells and jewellery and hair ornaments to a creature they call a demon? Don't they hate you? Don't you disgust them?
maybe you'll go to jake and neytiri for advice, or maybe you'll ask ronal and tonowari straight out. either way, you're certainly in for a very confusing day

modern Aizen??!! What type of dad would he be? Or husband? What type of life would he have?(job, money, hobbies, etc.)
I love modern Aizen concepts. I've thought so much about this - I have way too many ideas. I'll break this up into chunks for easier reading.
TW: none!
Tumblr media
... as a husband:
A very career-oriented, driven man = very busy. There will be some days where you won't physically see him (because your work schedules don't align), but he will call you each day when you have free time.
He's very attentive. He can tell when you're upset, hurt or angry about something, and he'll listen.
He doesn't like nagging and passive aggressiveness. If you're upset with him, be direct! He trusts you and expects you to trust him as well.
He loves cooking with you, especially if you're curious about new recipes, or try something in a restaurant and want to recreate it at home with him.
He doesn't like leaving household chores with you - he tries to meal plan and prep with you. He's the one that offers to hire a cleaner so there's less stress for you.
When he has time off, he will spend it with you. He will plan elaborate, details days off, vacations, anniversaries, etc. - it's his way of "making up" to his intense schedule.
... as a father:
Extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY patient. He may not be all that understanding with his child, but he tries.
I think Aizen "handles" older children better than new borns and infants.
New borns and infants give Aizen a small seed of fear - this tiny, precious child is someone who inherently has to rely on Aizen. I think in this sense, Aizen's philosophy of "the weak need the strong" changes - of course his baby needs him!
Aizen will always, and I mean always, read them bedtime stories. He loves to encourage his child to read more. One of their first gifts from him (once they're old enough/develop memories) is a little bookshelf.
Library days are important! He's one of those parents who will sign up for parent-baby classes at the local library.
Aizen is definitely the "I'm not angry, just disappointed" parent. He won't shout at his child ever, but they develop an inherent respect for him.
I don't think Aizen would like the concept of private schools (inherently classist/elitist), so he's very much fine with his child going to a public school.
Summer vacations are also for travel! He would encourage his child to see the world - he doesn't want them to be ignorant of the world around them.
... his job:
I've talked about this before, but I can see Aizen in some type of medical or education-role (or both!). I often picture him as some kind of psychotherapist (requires a medical degree) at a world-renowned hospital/institute who's also an associate professor at the major university. He would be one of those people who would have the HBSc + MSc + MD + PhD lol
He would also be a graduate-level supervisor for students. But he's very selective on who he takes under his wing (i.e. Ichigo...). He would encourage his students to think critically about what he's teaching them, but also be supportive in their endeavours.
I think Aizen develops his supervisor persona because it was, unfortunately, something he didn't get to experience as a graduate student. His supervisors were very hands-off and while Aizen was an extremely competent student and fellow, I can see him wanting a mentor during that period of his life.
Aizen only sees a few patients a year, on a consultancy-basis, if he's more research-focused. But some years he does go back into the clinical practice route.
Aizen has definitely had a TEDTalk or two.
Aizen is always competing with Urahara for grants and funding lol it pisses him off.
If Aizen is on a thesis committee with Urahara, it frustrates him, but he tries to be nice and polite - often times he's ignoring Urahara in these meetings and at the time of a student's defence.
Aizen would be a notoriously difficult Comprehensive Examiner for PhD students. Again, going back to thinking critically - he expects students in his division/unit/stream to not regurgitate what they've learned, but demonstrate areas of improvement, new techniques, etc.
Aizen teaches one undergrad-level course in psychology, another one in sociology and then one last one in philosophy (at the 300 level). Many undergrad students flock to his office hours.
Overall - financially - Aizen is definitely not hurting for cash.
... his hobbies:
Reading: whether that be manuscripts, chapter proofs, fiction and non-fiction alike. I think Aizen is inherently a student for life type-of-person. He wants to know more, he has such a thirst for knowledge.
Coffee/tea-hopping: he's not one for gimmicky cafes, but Aizen's curious to try new spots for their coffee and tea selections. Even when he travels abroad, he will try local cafes and buy some beans and blends for home (if he likes it).
I think Aizen would still hold on to calligraphy - it's such a rare talent these days I find. It's an expensive hobby for sure - but one he plans and budgets for. Very, very rarely does he sell some of his prints - it's a way for him to decompress.
I think Aizen would be hesitant to introduce his child to calligraphy - he doesn't want them using his expensive inks and pens lol. I think he'd get them a "child" version of them, but he wouldn't pressure them to continue with calligraphy if it doesn't interest them.
In a similar vein, I can see Aizen enjoying playing the piano in his (very limited) spare time (he's trying to master Rachmaninoff and that unbelievably finger span). I don't see him playing the piano necessarily for the music - but rather, I think it's a test of almost all of his senses. It requires his focus, his ability to read music - translate that ability into finger movements, and be able to interpret the composers own feelings into the piece of music. I don't think he'd be able to tell you who his favourite composers were, but he would be able to tell you pieces that gave him a "challenge" (that he conquered). He would enrol his child in piano lessons.
I can see Aizen being into hiking, and maybe mountaineering. I think it gives him a sort of thrill to climb mountains (always reaching to the top).
Weirdly enough, I think he'd be into foraging as well? Foraging for edible mushrooms specifically (I guess there's something to be said with curiosity and mad scientist types).
Aizen avoids social media. He knows of it, he probably has a twitter account for his academic stuff, but that's about it. I also don't see him as a podcast listener - but he has been invited on to podcasts as a guest!
Overall, I think Aizen would have a life similar to a well-known, top-earning clinical researcher! Someone who's constantly learning, but also wants to share that knowledge to a few select students. This leads him to having a very limited home life, but he makes it up with his attentiveness and understanding. I think Aizen would be a devoted partner to a person who is as equally curious as him - someone he can also learn from.
Thanks anon for this ask! I hope this is what you had in mind.

Having thoughts of my good and bad timelines and Malva and hhhhh
°•°•°•°•°
Malva, as a child, hated being under anyone's control. She still does, to a degree, but has since matured enough to accept that sometimes it's necessary. She wants to make a difference. She doesn't want to be queen and never will, but she still wants to make the lives of her people better somehow.
Hence why she decided to become a healer.
This way, she can distance herself from the Senate and their rules, since healers follow their own set of codes and rules, far separate from those of the long-dead noble fae.
But ever since Maleanor's death, not only does she lose her sister, she's also forcibly pulled back from the life she so loves and forced back under the control of the Senate. By this time, Maleficia has lost quite a bit of fight in her, and Malva is left frustrated and grieving, trapped in her own bubble.
It didn't help that Lilia got exiled. The only other person that she could trust and understand her, ripped away from her in front of her very eyes.
And a part of her will always resent him for just going along with it and leaving.
For those long, long years, she never left Malleus's side. Her work was put on hold indefinitely, all to provide her nephew with the love and magic he needs to hatch. It ended up not being enough, of course, and Lilia had to be called.
She had thought that this would mean that he would stay. She had thought that this would mean that finally, finally Malleus could hatch with the love of someone who loves his parents so deeply.
But of course, Lilia had other plans.
And though this time she understood where he was coming from, it didn't make it hurt any less.
Still, with neither Lilia nor Malva being alone, it took 150 years for Malleus to hatch.
Malva wasn't there to see it. No, she had gotten sick and tired of Lilia always having to leave, and was fighting tooth and nail for him to be allowed back into the Capitol. By the time she realized what had happened, the Senate was already taking Malleus, still with bits of his shell on his head, away from Lilia's arms.
They announced that she was the one to hatch the Prince. Not Lilia. They announced that her magic saved the Prince. Not Lilia, whose lifespan has been significantly decreased as a result of his sacrifice.
They had framed her as the hero, and him as an insignificant, disgraced, speck of dust that didn't even deserved to be mentioned at all.
Perhaps that was why he wasn't around Malleus as much as he should have been.
A fact that grew more and more prevalent as time ticked by, chipping away at Malva's patience along with everything that came with being back in the castle again.
Until one day she had enough.
Words were exchanged that day. Hurtful words, ones that neither of them should have said but did anyway.
"Perhaps had you only used your Unique Magic, Maleanor wouldn't have died and neither of us would have had to go through this."
And here's where the timeline splits.
In one timeline, Malleus is oblivious as to what happened, and was in one of his classes the entire day.
Lilia went back to his cabin.
Malva was left alone with her thoughts.
This– everything– was the Senate's fault. Malleus would have hatched faster had they not exiled Lilia. Malleus wouldn't be this lonely had it not been for the Senate. Malva wouldn't be this alone had it not been for the Senate.
And the Senate... Well, they're spirits, aren't they? Spirits of dead nobles who couldn't accept that their time in power has passed.
Malva's a noble. A Princess, at that. She just needed to figure out what makes the Senate so special, and then she can infiltrate their ranks and make them do what she wants. And when everything is said and done, she'll find a way to revive herself and everything would be fine.
She has some Foxglove in her garden. Some Nightshade as well. She can use them on herself to separate her soul from her body.
Maleficia was busy with her duties.
Malleus was in his classes.
Lilia was back in his cabin.
It was only hours later, after Lilia had sneaked back to the castle to see Malleus and entered her room to try to apologize to her did he find her body, already cold and stiff from rigor mortis.
That is the bad timeline.
In another timeline, Malleus sneaked away from his classes and decided to pay his aunt a visit.
The Nightshade was mere centimeters from Malva's lips when Malleus bursts the door open.
He made her play with him, and when Lilia came back to the castle, he made him play with them as well.
Things were never quite the same, of course, but they were together in this timeline, at least.

Hello Dani !!
Question : both in TNLD and in the last chapter from Arthur, I am curious as to why Alec and Magnus don’t make more effort to keep in touch and be more supportive of Max and David .
Yeah they lived in Paris in TLND but that is a poor excuse .
Like Arthur mentioned they never came to the plays . I understand Rafael not going low key but the grand parents could - the sisters could .
Like I really get Max’s frustration because it seems that everyone wants him to make an effort but don’t do it themselves.
I think in TLND is a much simpler answer. They live in two different countries and they are all extremely busy people (not an excuse but just the reality). When you have likes that and live thousands of miles apart, you meet like, what, once a year or so? But in TLND, they very much keep in touch over the phone etc.
In LBAF, it's a little bit more complicated. We'll explore it further in Magnus' chapter. One reason, I'd say is again 'convenience'. They're not going to show up for every play or every birthday (mavid family doesn't much celebrate them anymore).
As we see, when the kids were younger, malec were very much involved - whether it's visiting them or Arthur calling them to tell them stories etc. We also see Gigi, Lexi and Selena talking about 'visiting Lance' when they can. But as the kids grow older, the distance grows. Maybe it's because the kids (especially) Lance wants to spend less time with other people/family. This is a very important reason. And as we've seen whatever affects Lance affects AJ too.
I know this feels like a vague answer, but to be very honest, the reasoning is vague too.
I don't think TLND Max is bitter in any way about being away from his family (After all, it was his choice), but LBAF Max most definitely holds a grudge.
I think he wants them to push. He wants them to turn up anyway. But they don't. Not the way he wants them to.

any sexuality hc's? just for fun
...... hm. I have a few character-specific hcs. I'm leaving this mostly untagged but under a readmore so don't be goofy.
whether the nations will sleep with mortals is really a case-by-case basis. Alfred, for example, absolutely will not have sex with mortals and certainly not with Americans; it just really squicks him out. Alfred is in general a lot less sexually active than you'd think, partly because his preference for nations means his options are a lot more limited than most, but also because he's just a busy guy. there's also an element of he just doesn't like intimacy with strangers or people he doesn't know well, and ever since becoming a superpower he's gotten very protective of his reputation. not that being highly sexually active would hurt his reputation (at least not with other nations) but he just doesn't like to give many people access to him, if that makes sense. Alfred is probably the closest I have to monogamous, though now that I think about it, aromantic would probably be more accurate.
Kiku's a ho. he can also be particularly frustrating for western nations because the man is like, dead set against direct, explicit communication. you either read his vibes or you get nothing. like it takes a little bit for people to learn that although Kiku may seem timid when consenting, he will make his boundaries very clear when he's not. also voted most squirmy and most likely to accidentally kick his partner.
Arthur's relationship with sex is not particularly healthy, which is pretty understandable given, you know, everything about him. he's by no means aggressive or anything, but he has a certain self-disregard that can very easily get him into situations he probably should not be in. the rise of various subcultures eg BDSM has been enormously helpful in giving him certain vocabulary and tools such as. you know. safewords. he probably wouldn't be inclined to educate or really take care of himself if not for the fact that Francis and Mathias have teamed up to be extremely obnoxious whenever they're concerned about him. like he's just at the point where being unsafe is honestly just too much work, barring a few certain exceptions.
Herakles.... Herakles is still out there making Romulus proud. he's actually the first for several nations because he's so patient and nonjudgmental that he's kinda made a niche for himself as... there's a term for this but I don't remember what it is, so I'll say he's the cast bicycle and it's common knowledge that he will also provide training wheels for the inexperienced. like if you're nervous or have no idea what you're doing, just go to Herakles and he will very patiently and kindly walk you through it. most nations have probably slept with him at one point or another. not that you would know by talking to him; he has a strict no-kiss-and-tell policy.
thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Hi there, your blog is beautiful! I could be here for hours. I'll be direct: I believe San doesn't feel the same about Woo anymore, don't you agree? It's been 3 years or more that he gravitates toward Yeosang to the point of being clingy and cringy. If that was that, fine, but he is quite mean towards Woo, not only with words, but his whole body language shows. Do u feel they're the same?
I'm kind of tired of y'all coming onto my page and thinking its okay to lowkey diss yeosang or think that woosan arent a thing anymore or something. I feel like yes for a little bit woosan drifted but only publicly and wooyoung HAS talked about it. Shippers make it really awkward for them whether they are a thing or not its none of our business and they want to be close with all of their members. Wooyoung literally told people to stop asking about san all the time and San redirects questions away from wooyoung probably because they are tired !!! Wooyoung and Yeosang have been best friends for TEN YEARS they are very close with each other and yes San absolutely adores Yeosang but that doesnt mean woosan hate each other. I understand the stans concerns for sure at FIRST but very quickly they both made it clear they weren't driftjng, just spending less time with each other in public
Y'all have to realize we only see what's on camera and at the end of the day whether they are close or not it's none of our business! I know I'm one of the bigger woosan blogs but im just as much of a woosang and sansang supporter and the way people keep throwing yeo under the bus is really frustrating
Yeosang is a person too, nobody is bullying yeosang, they just have known each other for forever and are very close. We only see things through an outside lens and will never have an inside perspective, so lets not butt into their business
Edit: sorry i forgot to say i really appreciate the compliment to my blog but i am so tired of getting asks like these, i will always suppirt woosan and whatever they do whether they are best friends or mortal enemies because i support ALL of ateez as a whole

Whumptober Day 24:
"I've got a head full of chemicals, mouth full of ridicule."
Goodbye note | Neglect | "I thought they were with you."
Fandom: Scoobydoo
Prompts used: all
So this ones a little drawn out, a little less on screen whump. A look into Mystery inc's not so perfect lives from teens vague perspectives. I'm basically writing the same thing over and over, because the headcanons are too good to change much. I refused to write Scoobys speech impediment though, I am surely doing it injustice, and it's terribly hard on my tired brain.
TW for implied abuse, Neglect and running away from home.
Rich kids, poor kids, middle class kids, no matter where you fall, there can be crap to deal with.
High society was fine for Daphne Blake, she shopped where she wanted, she always had food, she had a car-
She was exhausted.
Any club or extra curricular you could name, she's done. She gives everything 210% in the hopes that something will make her parents look her way.
She'd failed so far.
Shaggy Rogers hated high society, too much pressure and too many snobs. He'd been forced into so many clubs as a kid, he ended up hating everything except track.
He tried to do anything to keep his parents out of his business, to get them off his back, to block out their suffocating words. He spent time with Daphne- which was so easy, but his parents didn't need to know that- he did his school work, he went to track meets, he did anything and everything to be good and invisible to them, to get them to stop asking for more.
He'd failed so far.
Fred Jones loved his parents. He thinks… It was hard to love people he never saw for more than an hour over the course of a month. Their love for adventure didn't stop cause they had a kid, and Fred was happy for them, but the house- already rather small- felt like a box closing in on him every moment he spent there alone.
He did what he could, to keep himself occupied, to get himself some spending money- for all his parents' love of adventure, they mostly just had great luck and jobs that traveled. Fred did everything, so the house wouldn't crush him at night.
He'd failed so far.
Velma Dinkley's parents didn't quite understand Velma. It frustrated her most of the time, being forced into a bubble she never wanted to be in. She just didn't feel things the same way, didn't always say what she meant, her dad called her mean, and her mom ignored it and pretended she was her pretty little perfect daughter.
She distances herself as much as she's able, she doesn't give in to the pressure of disappointed sighs. She hangs out with Fred Jones, because he doesn't mind being her partner in class and makes her think about what she says. She tries to convince herself that the thought of going home isn't exhausting, that she can handle it.
She'd failed so far.
They're all just shy of 18, senior year, and they finally find themselves in the same place together. They've had interactions of different pairs/groupings, but now they're all four face to face. Well 5, if you include the dog, which they should since he was of the talking type and would get offended otherwise.
They'd all individually decided to solve the same mystery. It was the biggest- and only noteworthy- mystery of the town. Daphne just knew this would impress her parents- or she'd get to punch a ghost. Where Daphne went, Shaggy was bound to end up one way or the other, a little food was the best bribe, and Scooby was by his side and Daphne was in front of him, he had nothing better to do. Velma was unconvinced it was a real ghost- though she now knew a talking dog so- but whether it was or wasn't, she could hone her skills and hope for a challenge to solve. Fred couldn't very well let Velma go alone- he didn't have enough money to bail her out of jail if she decided to fight someone or trespass- and he was always looking for exciting things to keep him from home, and if there was a ghost, they'd need a trap.
To find other teens willing to go ghost hunting at a questionable hour in an abandoned fairground, was not what they'd expected however.
"Daphne Blake and Shaggy Rogers, I wouldn't expect to find people of your standing out here." Velma will say it came out better than it would have, but still harsher than what she'd meant.
She didn't mean, 'why are you rich as*e* in a sketchy field?' She meant, 'You guys do a lot at school, how did your parents let you out of the house to do this tonight?' Before either she or Fred can add to it however, Shaggy answers,
"I figure if there's gonna be any screaming tonight, it'd be like better if I can get some out first before I go home." Shaggy seems more mellow than he does at school, hand running over the dog- Scooby's- head.
"I'm gonna punch a ghost." Daphne states plainly, glaring at Shaggy when he elbows her, "and hopefully get into the paper, my dad reads that every morning." She adds reluctantly, turning to make her way into the fairgrounds.
"Do you mind if we join you guys?" Fred asks quickly, as Shaggy and Scooby follow the red head.
"Sure, a bigger group may attract the ghost!" She calls over her shoulder.
"We do not need help." Velma tells Fred.
'I do not feel comfortable.'
"Don't worry Velm, if we work together you'll have more time to do the fun stuff." Fred smiles, throwing an arm over her shoulders to guide her towards the other teens.
There is no ghost. Just an old man who wanted cheap land. But for a moment, it seemed as if there was one, a clue here or there that didn't quite add up. They all bounced off each other well, Shaggy understood what Velma meant and even seemed to appreciate her bluntness occasionally. Daphne listened to what she had to say, and pointed out things the girl missed- finding signs and meanings from seemingly random things that weren't actually random. Freds elaborate traps were easier done with three added people- and easier to shrink down to an easier one with three arguments to why they didn't need a flamethrower Fred.
They do get their picture taken for the paper, to be released in the morning somehow, but for the rest of their night, they take Shaggy's suggestion and find the 24 hour diner for milkshakes and snacks. They don't realize they need to wind down until they're sitting in a corner booth and their hands shake as they hold their menus.
"I don't want to go home." Shaggy murmurs after a few milkshakes and three plates of food.
"You could come to mine." Daphne responds, "Not like my parents will notice." She adds under her breath, slouching because she knows her mom hates it.
"So you meant it before, about the yelling?" Fred ventured cautiously, playing with the straw in his drink.
Shaggy shrugs,
"They say I've got a head full of chemicals, but their mouths are still full of ridicule. I had to like… fight to get my meds, but they hate it. Hate…" He trails off, shoulders curling inwards as he thumbs a bruise on his wrist. "It's whatever."
"It is not. Your parents suck and I hate them." Daphne glowers at the straw wrapper she's mangling, since she can't touch his parents.
"So do yours." Shaggy counters, leaning on her shoulder some.
"You guys could come to my house. I… don't have a lot of room, but it's empty anyways. Parents wouldn't even notice if you slept in their room." Fred puts in, nudging Velma to include her in the offer.
"My mother would lock me up if she knew I'd stayed at your place." Velma says with a huff.
Daphne sits straighter,
"So you stayed at my house." She says, eyes gleaming. "And I stayed at yours if mine bothered to ask. And Shaggy was at Freds."
"Idk Daph, they'll already be pissed tonight…" Shaggy looks like he wants nothing more than to say yes, but a fear lingers in his eyes.
"Well, if they're going to yell anyway…" Velma re-uses Shaggy's earlier reasoning, and suddenly it's like they've all been friends for years and this is totally ordinary behavior for them.
Like, 'Of course we're gonna lie to our parents about where we are and have a sleepover at Freds.' Like there isn't the likely chance of real consequences in a couple of their futures, but it doesn't matter in this moment. And as they gather at Freddys house, they come up with more plans, more 'of course's!' Because they get along like a house on fire, and smooth eachothers edges and calm eachothers nerves and boost each other's confidences. By the end of their night, after hearts laid bare- bruises on display, feeling gross and out there, tears shed and shouts shouted- they have the vaguest of plans.
Several days later, finds phone calls from panicked- re; angry- parents to one another.
"I thought they were with you!" Mr. Rogers accuses Mr. Blake.
"Why in good heavens would I allow my daughter to have two boys stay the night??"
"Well what about my sweet baby Velma?? She said she was at Daphnes!" Mrs. Dinkley is in tears, she had plans for them! Mommy daughter plans!
"Norville said he would be at Fredricks house dear." Mrs. Rogers cuts in, voice devoid of anything.
"Oh my. Well they could have been I suppose… let me look." Mrs. Jones mutters all the way to her son's room, jetlag weighing heavy on her mind, she had wanted to sleep when she'd arrived, not deal with this. "Oh look, a note, let me get my glasses-"
"Hurry up woman!" Mr. Rogers yells, he was late for work dammit!
"Alright alright, so fussy, I have a headache… hm, Dear adults- so informal- Dear Adults,
We have left. If you are reading this, we've been gone for nearly a week without your notice. As we are nearly adults ourselves, we decided we weren't going to put up with your sh*t anymore. If you want to check on us, watch the News, we'll be making history with our new 'Mystery Solving' gig.
Goodbye forever probably,
~Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred
"Oh there's a paw print too, how festive."
The angry yells last for long hours and weeks after. Police read the note and do indeed find them on the News, they inform the parents there's not much they can do. They warn them, an investigation may garner… worse results than they hope for.
The threat is clear.
The members of Mystery Inc. Smile.

Diary of a mall Santa Claus
Tumblr media
14
Theft Day
* "What the hell??? Where's my jacket???" Timmy searches in panic through his backpack, "And my...! Someone stole all my money out of my wallet! And my jacket is gone!" During the shift, someone apparently broke into Timmy's locker. Armie wished it had been his. The shop assistant is nice and understanding, but in the end she can't help much. Especially not right now. Completely frustrated, Armie and Timmy step out of the mall and Timmy immediately begins to freeze. Armie takes off his jacket and gives it to Timmy, who accepts it gratefully, but he wishes he could do more. For instance find this asshole and pull his ears out so he could have some elf ears for life. "What about you?" Timmy looks at Armie. Armie shrugs his shoulders. "I'm not cold." "Wrong world, huh? You more or less only know warm temperatures, you should be cold." Armie shrugs again and smiles slightly. He still doesn't know how to help Timmy. And wishes he could. Timmy points to the watch Armie is wearing. "Wow, is that real? I mean, if it is, it's weird to have one of those and still have money problems so you have to work at a mall as Santa, isn’t it?" Armie muses. "I never thought of that before... But when you're right, you're right." He pulls out his cell phone and looks for the nearest pawn shop. "Come on..." he says, pulling Timmy along with him, shortly afterwards into a cab, and 20 minutes later he's sold his watch and is a rich man. Why didn't he think of this before? Well, actually he is very glad that he didn't think of it earlier, because otherwise he wouldn't have met Timmy. And he doesn't want to think about that for too long.  Timmy seems a little intimidated since they were at the pawn shop, he hasn't said much, probably feels guilty about giving Armie that terrific idea, but Armie is busy anyway. Again he searches his phone until he finds what he's looking for. "Ok, come on, let's get you a new jacket." Again he pulls Timmy along with him, who tries desperately to keep up with Armie's pace, until they're in front of a fancy store.  The saleswoman is about to close the store, but Armie knocks on the front door and gives his most charming smile. "What are we doing here?" whispers Timmy behind him. "This is way too expensive for me, I can't afford it, Armie." "You don't have to," Armie simply cuts off Timmy's concern. The lady comes to the door, opens it and smiles, "Sorry, we're just closing." "Yes, I know, but please, someone stole this young man's jacket and it's freezing." He hands her a fifty dollar bill. The lady looks at them both, her smile widens and she opens the door without taking the bill. "No need for that." Armie and Timmy enter the small boutique and Timmy's eyes widen even more, his fingers wandering over the racks of clothes. "Did you see the prices?" he whispers to Armie again. "Yeah, but don't worry about it. You know how much money I just got, right? And I really don't care, okay? I want to do this. You can pay me back when you get your first role in a blockbuster, okay?" Timmy looks at Armie for a second and finally grins. "Okay." "So hurry up, the lady wants to call it a day."
Timmy obviously knows what he's doing. He looks through the racks of clothes briskly, admiring this and that and "That would look good on you!" and finally finds a big, fluffy coat that will definitely keep him very warm. And although Armie kind of liked how Timmy looked in his way-too-big jacket, he looks absolutely stunning in this one. And how happy Timmy smiles makes it twice as worth. That smile stays on Timmy's face the entire ride, too. As they catch a cab to Timmy's apartment, Timmy lets his fingers glide over his coat, feeling the buttons, telling Armie about his favorite designers and how much he loves to express himself with clothes and how he wishes he had the money to do it. "I don't know how to thank you," he finally says when the cab pulls up. "No need. Glad you're warm now," Armie replies. And then Armie suddenly feels a warm Timmy against his body, Timmy hugs him tightly, and Armie holds his breath because he didn't expect to have Timmy's face so close to his. A soft "Thank you, Armie," a kiss on the cheek, and Timmy turns to open the door. "See you tomorrow!" "Yeah, have a good night." The door slams shut. Did his voice just quaver? Armie sees the cabbie's amused look in the mirror. Okay, it did. Armie sighs. There was a reason he doesn't do that boyfriend stuff. He doesn't like it when things happen that he can't control. When he can't control his own emotions.
These are just stupid hormones!

I agree with your takes.. Yeah they basically queerbait and then get mad that we are baited. LOL. They're gaslighting us in a way. Also, I dunno why Rhett is mad at us when he initiates most of the Rhink stuff. It's like he's saying they're unto me, I better stop them. Rhett, it's okay lean into it and don't be afraid of what others say. But I guess that's just the achiever/performer in Rhett. So he wants to do these things but he doesn't want people commenting on it so that's what he does.
I'm sorry for the delayed reply, these days have been crazy.
Yep, that's how I see it too. To be fair, if my interpretation of this situation that I will explain shortly is accurate, I understand that they are in a hard place.
We should not forget how this ship started and what kind of people Rhett and Link were 8-10 years ago. They were people coming from an extremely conservative background and the shipping was based on little incidents that were happening spontaneously and unintentionally. Nothing like the rhink or queerbaiting jokes they do nowadays. Furthermore, there was no Mythical crew and Rhett and Link were essentially completely unaware of how they and their interaction was received and interpreted by the viewers.
For example, in the very first years of their YT presence, Rhett made a mad video response at some other youtuber who called Link gay (meanwhile, Link just stood there not giving a shit lol). Now, they wear Pride t-shirts all the time. I am sure they are trying hard to change who they used to be but I am also pretty sure the proud t-shirting would be less frequent, had it not been for an entire company being employed solely to keep them relevant.
So, the Rhink ship was founded on spontaneous or subconsious moments. This is what makes people talk, not the scripted explicit jokes. And while this might not hurt Rhett and Link deep inside, it could cause problems to their real relationships with family and friends who still were part of that conservative environment. We see it today still, Rhett struggles hard to reconcile the man he wants to be now with the man that can be accepted and approved by his father and rest of his family.
In short, I don't think Rhett and Link hate or judge the shippers for shipping them but they are frustrated by the problems this shipping causes to their environment.
I personally think the dynamic or even nature of their friendship / relationship has changed over the years but so did the expectations in the workplace. What I mean is that while Rhett and Link were trying to cope and understand what the vigorous shipping meant for them and their friendship, the Mythical Crew chimed in to inform them that indeed it would be quite beneficial for the enterprise and their stardom to lean in on this. Surely, if it was just a joke between platonic friends, there was nothing to feel uncomfortable about, right? And Rhett and Link had to agree with that because they have people to pay and mouths to shut and addressing something openly and with humour is the safest step in order to disperse rumours and gossip.
Thus I believe that the root of their frustration is that they feel they are losing control of their personalities, of their relationships with family and friends, of their business and of their friendship with each other, and what all these mean to them. They have made it pretty clear that they are not interested in GMM from a creative standpoint anymore and they just show up to keep the massive company they have created for themselves and which now has CEOs and executive producers who tell them what ought to be done.
The problem is that the Crew still pushes them for more and for what would sell. The reason they drew a red line at kissing IMO is not that they are afraid of it making them "feel things". If these two individuals were about to feel things for each other, then I reassure you it has already happened a long time ago and it hasn't waited until they become 45 years old and after discussing it at length with each other, fans and employees for decades. They refuse to kiss publicly because it's their last barrier before they feel like animals in the zoo. If they ever do it (because they might, who knows), the last frontier of meaningfulness will have fallen. That's what Rhett meant when he suddenly yelled to the viewers out of nowhere "YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU WANT" in that GMM about a year ago.
So, what they do is that they try to give Rhink in a way that gives them the illusion that they are in control of the situation. When it is scripted and prepared thoroughly, when it is in agreement with their wives and expected or planned by the crew, when it is such a stupid joke that it cannot be taken seriously or when they wake up in such a good mood that they are like "heck I'll even rhink it up today a bit because it is MY choice to do so". That’s why they want us to love the Rhink they give us but they get mad the moment it gets beyond their control or shippers seem to not appreciate it enough. They still slip unintentionally sometimes because they are humans, but it is rarer these days. They have matured quite a bit before the cameras.

i keep seeing people complain about how "every website looks the same" and that its a sign of the end of creativity etc etc but it was always as a little throwaway line that people are supposed to go "oh yeah i've noticed that a lot of websites look similar!" and are supposed to connect that with the death of web 1 and how social media is bad and so on, but there are a LOT of reasons why many websites look the same. they can be kind of broken down into two main categories, though: the users, the way users find/use the websites.
Back in the 90s slash really early 2000s websites were still kind of gimmicky. Unless you were in a field that required the use of certain sites/databases/references/communications etc the average person wasn't online nearly as much as they were today. People also didn't have smartphones (which I will come back to later), so they were using a whole computer setup with a very specific resolution (low), and overall being on the internet was a very specific experience. But I think it's also important to note that it was more younger people using them for casual use. Web 1 was more "creative" than web 2 is deemed now because to get ON web 1, you had to have a baseline of tech and web knowledge. There were a lot less people on the internet, so you were catering to the other relatively few people that were willing to dive into computers/The World Wide Web.
Nowadays, and this is something I'm sure everyone has heard a much older person complain about at some point or another, everyone is pretty much required to use the internet. It's how you apply to jobs, school, get benefits, get healthcare, find pretty much any up-to-date information. It's actually a problem for many people that aren't able to reliably access the internet for one reason or another (major ones being houselessness, living in extremely rural areas, or just not being able to use a smartphone). When the demographic for your site changes from "people who are computer-savvy" to "ANYONE" you have to give up a lot of funny quirks. You are now catering to the lowest common denominator, which is a 70 year old who's grandchild is painstakingly trying to walk them through using a site, and hoping that this will somehow translate into them being able to use other sites, and they won't have to be doing this every other day.
Organizations, whether they are businesses or non-profit/government, have websites because they are convenient for people to be able to either get information, or because they want the user to do something (make an appointment, get a quote, buy something) - they want whoever is using their website to be able to find it as quickly and easily as possible. There is sort of a trickle-down in UI, from major companies that get a lot of users, or have the internal resources to do a lot of user testing and figure out what's easy for people to use, to then other markets who use them as reference or their guides on how to make things easily understandable for a wide range of users (Google's Material Design is often referenced). If someone knows how to use X popular site, you don't have to teach them how to use yours again if you follow their lead.
Also: predicable design and using certain web standards is a necessity for accessibility. Someone using a screen reader needs to be able to understand the information presented on a site, and having things in a predictable order, and in an order that gives the most relevant information first. This is why we are still seeing certain sites that cater to specific clientele often get a bit more creative. An artist's site doesn't necessarily need to cater to any user, they're catering usually to other artists. Now, if it's an illustrator or designer using a site as their portfolio, then they'll probably want to go back and use something that will make it easy for a reviewer going through hundreds of sites to be able to quickly view their art, without getting frustrated. Frustration from new users (as well as slow-loading sites) is one of the biggest reasons why people will ditch a new site or service. How many people have complained about how confusing something like Mastodon is to get started?
From the other direction, there is the system that surrounds the website. We've all seen complaints about how so many websites have a lot of word-salad, and it's because of SEO - Search Engine Optimization. Basically, Google ranks websites to put in search results by A) how well the actual content of the site matches the literal search, and B) what it thinks that your search is actually looking for. There are a lot of things that go into SEO and there are entire markets built around it because of how valuable ranking high with Google is - it doesn't matter how excellent your website is if people never are able to see it. Legitimate websites also have to compete with those scam sites that just dump in as much nonsense as possible to get clicks, and thus make money off ad revenue. It's a constant pain in the ass battle and Google is constantly changing how its rankings work because of the scam sites. This effects the buttons, links, how headers/subheaders/body text is used. Google wants certain hierarchies of information, and rewards sites that have them.
But the biggest reason why so many websites look a certain way is because of responsiveness. Basically as of like 2019 over 50% of visitors to a given website were usually on a mobile device. This could be any kind of resolution, depending on the type of phone or tablet. Do you have any idea how much of a pain in the ass it is to design a website to be responsive. You need to organize all the information in very specific ways and use flexboxes or way too many media queries to have text/images/etc set up so it transitions cleanly to different widths. The more complex the website is, the more difficult it is to do this. Simple transitions better and is less likely to break and glitch when presented in unexpected ways.
The proliferation of mobile is also the reason for a lot of other "design modernizations" that people get pissed about. Biggest example off the top of my head is the Google logo redesigns. I remember being in school everyone was complaining and joking about it. But there was a very good reason for it. Using simpler shapes for vector images makes the image load faster, and overall use less data. The new logo is only 305 bytes, while its old logo was 14,000 bytes. That is an enormous difference, especially when taking into consideration if someone on their phone has low bandwidth and/or needs to quickly search something. Again, this trickles down to other sites and other companies that want their sites to perform quickly on all platforms for all users with any level of internet connection.
Obviously there are a lot of issues with the way that the internet is set up but a lot of people miss the point as to not only why so many sites are designed the way they are, but also how we benefit every day from it.

re: your tags on the post defending people being dramatique about reblogs; whoever ghosted you over that is a dick, but also there has GOT to be a happy medium between "fuck you if you don't reblog everything you feel positively about" and "fuck you for asking for reblogs" like omg, tumblrinas plz, i am begging for like half an ounce of nuance i know this is the internet but please for the love of the blorbos stop the madness *headdesk*
I mean, yeah, I don't actually think guilt/shame is a good motivation for engaging with fandom, for a lot of different reasons, and tbh the overall tone of the post I just reblogged is probably more abrasive or something than what I've reblogged before or said myself. I mostly just reblogged this one because apparently I can't get over how hurt I feel over the whole basically-being-ghosted-by-a-long-term-friend thing (especially given that it made me feel really insane in a specifically neurodivergent way, like, "either I have massively misinterpreted literally everything about this relationship for years because I fundamentally don't understand friendship or social interactions in general, or you didn't mean anything you said to me, or you changed the rules at some point and didn't tell me").
but it's also just...deeply frustrating that even the mildest posts saying "if you don't do some very basic things to support the fanworks you like, you will start seeing a lot less of those fanworks, because those creators will get discouraged and stop producing it" gets categorized as whining or guilt-tripping when it isn't, it's literally just describing cause and effect. there are other posts scolding fan creators for expressing that discouragement or asking for a little damn engagement because we just want to feel like we're part of a community, all of which just contributes to the atmosphere of discouragement.
and it feels increasingly bizarre to me the more time I spend on Instagram, following all kinds of artists and small businesses, all of whom talk a lot about how important engagement is to what they do and how much their work lives and dies by The Algorithm and how crucial it is for people to take a few seconds and boost stuff they like because otherwise it just gets lost to the void, and I don't see the same backlash there of "well you should just be satisfied with creating for yourself, you shouldn't worry about stats, stop whining for attention, stop guilt-tripping people," whatever. granted, it's a different matter when there's money involved, because with a small business whose only source of advertising is social media, we're talking about someone's actual livelihood, but there's a huge amount of crossover with literally any artist--fanartist or otherwise--given that loads of them do also have Patreons or Ko-fi links or shops with physical items, or maybe they don't start out that way but when they build an audience organically they're able to bring in some actual money. and I've definitely seen people who aren't primarily selling things, who really are just producing art as a hobby, but still ask people to share their stuff because it encourages them to make more, and that seems to be seen as perfectly legitimate, except on Tumblr and also Reddit. fanfic is a little different because it's inherently an extremely bad idea to monetize, so there isn't the angle of "of course you want to share this so your favorite writer can keep food on the table!" but it doesn't seem like a huge stretch to say it follows a similar principle, right? if you like it, it just makes sense to support it in some small way, because then you're more likely to keep getting it? and if you don't make any effort to support it, then you can't complain when you stop getting it? (making this very basic point got me downvoted on r/Fanfiction because of course it did.)
and, I don't know, I personally get really discouraged begging for reblogs, and it would feel a lot better if I didn't have to. not even just my own fic (although, yes, especially that), but original posts about helpful resources or awesome Kickstarters or fic recs or cool free games or "hey this artist is doing charity commissions, look at their awesome art, please reblog so they can raise money for this important cause" mostly just all kinda fall into the void. not that I'm at all unique in that respect, obviously; anyone who doesn't have a big audience deals with that frustration (while people who do have big audiences get to deal with different problems, as I understand it, although I certainly wouldn't know from experience). it just sucks, you know?

sometimes. i wonder about. "this apology isn't yours to accept/forgive." It's a sentiment I both understand intuitively and simultaneously find an unreasonable ask. Like. For example.
Let's say someone is called out for transphobia (and let's assume the callout is 1) not bullshit, and 2) significant/relevant), and the person who is called out apologizes. I'm trans, so I know exactly how it feels when a bunch of cis people show up and are like "we forgive you everyone makes mistakes." Even when I also forgave them and agree with the sentiment, it's still deeply aggravating for a bunch of people who are in no way affected other than feeling cringe by association to speak about whether this harm is worth forgiving. It doesn't affect you. I get exactly why people say this.
Now, let's say the same scenario occurs, but the subject at hand is racism. Now, I'm very white, so it isn't my business to speak about whether this person should be forgiven or not, or the severity of their actions, and so I don't. Because I know from like the first scenario it's really frustrating when people who have fuck all to do with it keep chiming in like their opinion matters. But at the same time....I'm a little unsure what I'm supposed to do after that.
Like. The apology is public, but not directed at me. I don't have to read it, or reply to it, and that's fine. For me the issue comes...after that. Like any minority, PoC are not a monolith even among the same race or ethnicity, so some members might accept and forgive, and some might not. I should naturally listen to the people affected, so do I take the majority opinion on how we're meant to engage with this person here on out? Do I stop engaging with this person who was rightfully called out, regardless of what the discussion looks like among the affected group, because it doesn't affect me?
The aftermath of public scale accountability is not the same as one that is interpersonal. If your friend says or does something shitty towards you, and you take them to account, whether you forgive them or not is entirely up to you. More importantly, so is how you proceed from there when it comes to interacting with this person from now on. You can forgive them, you can be as close as your were before, you can forgive but put some distance between you both, you can not forgive and do that with the understanding you might forgive one day, etc etc. If you don't forgive them, and can't bear to be around them anymore, then you just don't have to, and that's the end of it.
But maybe you tell your shared friends and other loved ones who know about the situation, and ask them to do the same. That's probably still easy, although you run the risk of someone else not agreeing with your approach and wanting to do something else, and then you have to evaluate how you approach that person too. But even all that is way less to navigate than large scale public internet accountability.
I don't know what is supposed to happen in the aftermath of public call outs. I think about the cis people who see the trans community argue about whether whoever it is deserves forgiveness or the space to still exist on their platform, and how far we should go in taking them to account, and don't know what they're supposed to do to support 'the trans community', which isn't in agreement, and i almost understand why they speak despite not being asked. And honestly this is true for every single oppression axis, not just these two in specific.
Because the affected community can't communicate exactly what the unaffected should do in response. Those affected aren't in agreement. Even when they share the same stance, they might not agree about the measures. So maybe the unaffected goes off what the people they trust in the community have to say. It's probably their best option, at least until someone decides to call them out for it (because so many call-outs are just completely made up and not significant at all), or interacts at all with someone who holds a different stance.
Hundreds if not thousands if not millions of people are exposed to a horrible situation, and they're all arguing about how we handle it, trying to have an interpersonal level consensus on a scale that is far beyond interpersonal. It's easy to know how to answer when the discussion directly affects you. Even if others disagree with you, that's their own prerogative, and you're the one who gets to decide how to respond to something that hurts you.
But people who aren't affected are still expected to respond in some way, even if they're not allowed to decide what that response is. They still have to do something after learning about what happened, take some kind of action that acknowledges the harm and that they care about the issue without continuing to perpetuate it in some manner. They can't just completely ignore it. What does that accomplish? That's just encouraging their ignorance or apathy.
And I think if we encourage people to just completely stop engaging with anyone who did something problematic (on any scale) that didn't affect them, that's just an entirely new can of worms. There's no point arguing about how an audience is supposed to respond to someone's harmful actions if the majority of people in that audience made aware of the issue are not even affected, but are mandated into disengaging with the accused preemptively. You might as well say the answer is disengage and de-platform every single time, because those will be your results, and I'm unconvinced that's the solution to every single problem ever brought to the table.
If they care at all about the issue, they have to act, but not speak. We can tell them that the apology isn't theirs to accept or forgive, and so they really shouldn't be having the discussion, a sentiment I completely agree with. But after that....we have nothing else to say. We just hope that they'll know the correct response in the aftermath and do it, without ever saying a word.

Home Robotics Chef | Autonomous Kitchens – Chefee Robotics
You like this idea we've seen several models but our son says this is the idea that will work because he's using things that are available and familiar and all it does is automated on traction and other things like that it's not a robot and it's attractive to people because of that it's something's wrong you can easily halt it by hand with about 15 lb of pressure that's what people want to see it's a wonderful idea but it's our son and daughter but he wanted to get it forward and so did we the problem is he's on this truck show so we really actually want to get involved because all they do is sit on it and do nothing and they don't understand business anymore and they don't understand how it works and the Giants are b******* and they don't work at all they don't know what they're doing there either
We have big giants in armies of them and we want to live them up using people in the max do too and they say they're not ready all the time and these guys are finally getting curious but they're down there and we're down there and Tommy f is starting to get down there finally
We're going to post this but this chef machine is $10,000. And the saying that he won't help you if it's broken it's not true he doesn't have a huge network of people to fix it but there's a lot of people who fix robotic equipment and you can find them online they do restaurant work all the time and they'd be happy to do this cuz restaurants. News people are not very bright on track tank they're stupid they're saying they're not interested means but they might be bright like I want a baked potato and of course a machine can do it he says it's not here to make this cheesy stuff but it can so they're having a rough time we know he is and it's not Mac it's not been and it is not Trump he's not a Mac either so we watch the show and we see who he is and he's a big dick he's got all these ideas and inventions and he says they're tied up and we've been going in and taking the ones we want and we put them out there we blame them for and trying to find us and we can care less we're trying to find them we're trying to find them using reverse systems forward systems and they're stupid for doing it and they say it too A lot of them die soon and upcoming movies and yeah there's a couple maps there and they're stupid but they're frustrated and we're raising the Giants and some of them think they're not ready and so on it's going on now but we are going to piggyback this company and build a lot of them and he's going to have to add factories and we'll have to go to China he'll run out of the supplies his system is good it's programs reducing and we looked at it this systems are good his programs are decent and we helped make it happen has our son and daughter said to him these people are out they're so disgusting but the show is nice and advertises things that people want and we can see which is useful and not useful to people and we make things that work this system works for just about anyway and the sun has an idea to have these machines and this guy makes them anyways and in a cafeteria in apartments and condos and they can go there for lunch and dinner and breakfast and a lot of people will does it takes too damn long and the machines take all a lot of time and work out of it and it'll be a business he wants to go in business with us on this idea and we do too so we're going to talk to him
Thor Freya
What they're saying is we're going to get a ton of orders from him placing one ad and it's true I'm going to hit some of my website right now that are stupendous I've never seen numbers like this before we're getting orders already and it's the middle of the night and I've got two factories I'm turning on you people in shark tank don't have money results at all they don't know if it's real but he does because he's the one who worked on this and he worked with me on it a little bit and he had someone else take over and Hera did too. People see the food on the show in the same wonderful wonderful dish it looks great and probably want to eat more of it but and sitting there cooking and it had a few plates out and when I went over and started eating and it was the girl with big mouth the other one came out and said we don't care we're hungry and your jerks and the food tastes great so they're probably want to buy him no they bought a few to test them I said he does those big places and you guys can stop being b****** from Christ's sake gross and it all looks fine but still they can make them for like apartments and condos and you make a big cafeterias and they're almost like 70% automated so they talk to me and I said yes and we know who they are and there are people and we started making them they said why don't we do this it's because these guys want to sit there and say they have stuff and use Giants that suck and you can't talk about it cuz they turn into real minions and you have to shoot him in the head they said that to us and we believe him so we're going forward now
Guy on shark tank right now and this is my product
You made a deal and it's for like 50% of the company is saying you know who's doing and he used to but now he just sits there trying to ruin things so we want to do this and get a beat on the max and it's a good deal he says
And he's really doing the job for his people it's difficult but that's what he's doing

Very proud of my husband but this is how the deal should go this is why they should go and with who and these people are leaving a little bit past we have to deal with the others and we don't like their attitude but they just keep doing it Trump says he did it before and it didn't work when we say is it's a different deal and he's not even aware of it

the more i go like unmask with my autism the more i find more and more people who just outright cannot or at least to me, it often feels like, straight up refuse to understand where i'm coming from.
i dont know if its because im different now and realizing that the people i collected in my life were not actually the greatest, but I keep coming across individuals who seem to purposefully twist my words even though i feel like i am being very clear. and i dont quite get it or understand it, and i just end up chalking it up to autism because i cant really think of any other reason. people often enjoy telling me what im feeling and why, which i don't enjoy and i have to wonder where people get off telling me what i'm thinking and what i'm feeling and then not listening to me when i tell them that they're wrong. like i just don't understand where people think they can know you better than you know yourself. that simply doesn't make sense and i would never act like i know more about any one person than they know about themselves. because how could i? i am not them. it's just not something i would do?? i don't know. i just wish it would stop. and i know it's only going to get harder as i get older. people are less understanding when you get older.
and another thing, people are obsessed with my potential. and i really wish people would mind their business. it is so weird to be obsessed with someone else's life. even if i'm ruining my life, it's mine to ruin. which im also like, not doing. i'm trying to mold a life for myself where i am emotionally regulated and not on high alert because of anxiety, but the people around me don't seem to understand that. it's really hard having the same conversations over and over, and having to explain to people what's going on with me without them coming up with some reason as to why i shouldn't be the way that i am.
it's whatever. i'm just frustrated i guess. i hate feeling this way though. i hate feeling like the odd person out in every group setting i enter. an eternal loneliness i can't seem to shake. how i can feel so isolated amongst a group of people in any circumstance is a skill i have yet to unlearn, and by god i hope i unlearn it soon. its a torturous state of being i don't enjoy.
again it's whatever. i hope as i continue my life journey i find people that really understand me, or at least try to, and want to, and may i not come across people who superimpose an idea of me over who i really am, and act as if that is my truth, when it isn't.

jaw surgery: faq's and need to knows
Hee! i'm wednesday, 21 years old and had jaw surgery about... 6 days ago now, counting the day i got the surgery seeing as i had it at 8 in the morning, and i'm here to talk a bit about how the process went for me and how i'm doing almost a week after.
I'm going to mention some well known facts and how they really play out (in my experience, which can be vastly different than yours), what to look out for some things i have been looking up for every single day now, etc...
i want to do this because reality of what this surgery meant never really set in before i got it, because i have bad anxiety and hate going to the doctor i refused to think about it too much, as to not get overwhelmed. in hindsight, i dont regret doing this, but it would've made a lot of things easier to search some things up...
i'm not a medical proffessional and all these things should be discussed with your doctor.
warning of medical related talks, and vomiting.
so here are a few things you might want to know!
| 1 | waking up from the surgery can be super terrifying. i think this counts for a lot of surgeries, but i think especially jaw surgery, because you can't always speak. I had a difficult time waking up and staying awake. when in recovery i couldn't speak and everything was really overwhelming. they gave me an popsicle (i think they are called) but i couldn't eat it. i ended up having a panic attack because i couldn't speak nor could i alarm anyone as to how i was feeling because they were busy with other patients.
So when waking up, it can be scary, not to drive fear into you but it's an odd experience and can be unpleasant. BUT most people are fine afterwards so dont worry too much!
| 2 | too add onto this story... the throwing up... yes, this happened immediatly afterwards, i threw up blood everywhere in the recovery room and continued for the next 2 days and 5 nights after the surgery... and if you have elastics in your mouth that break when opening your mouth they will snap.
| 2.5 | i know this speak for itself. i'm also adding this onto it, because it ties in with the story, but for all my people out there who are uncomfortable with their body and people seeing them naked. very bad news, unless you make it known to them that this makes you uncomfortable they will not proceed with care.
this sounds very crude, but most people who work in a hospital don't give a fuck about how you feel if you don't communicate with them. and when getting jaw surgery, chances are, you can't speak about how you feel.
when i threw blood up all over myself in recovery theyjust undressed me without care. now i understand this is what they're are suppossed to do, but that doesn't make it less traumatic, i had to lay there in a room full of people while being completely naked and having a panic attack.
so if there is any reason or way you feel scared about being naked, this can happen. not saying it will but be prepared to be vulnerable.
| 3 | the hospital is shit to stay in. no matter how nice the nurses are, how comfortable the bed is or how easy your acces is to pain meds and help, you just want to be home. now every hospital is different where i went, i had to only stay 1 night and could then choose to go home if i wanted to (under certain conditions of course) so if you are in the same situantion as me, be careful if you choose to go home. i wanted to go home really badly and did seeing as my mother cared for me the next few days 24-hours a day. but if you feel bad and physically are not capable of going home yet, please stay.
| 4 | bed rest is suuuuper important. but i didnt sleep for more than 5 hours a day the first 4 days... yep you heard that right. after immediatly waking up i slept for the whole day and had a horrible night. this can happen. and it's so frustrating not to be able to sleep, because the days seem so long and the recovery seems so slow. (and this is coming from someone who willingly stayed up until 4 every night on a school day and pulls all-nighters frequently)
sleep can be difficult, and i know it's hard to get through the first few days, but it does get better and your days will feel normal soon enough.
also you can't sleep on your side for the first few days up until a week (depends on what your doctor tells you), so if you are anything like me and sleep on your side or stomach... practise before the surgery to sleep on your back, it'll do you a lot of favours!
| 5 | i know you hope that you might be some miracle patient and that your swelling goes down magically in 2 days... it won't it needs TIME! the first 4 days are the worst, with swelling and everything else, but your jaw needs to heal. it can and probably will bruise as well, this will also go away. take your time babes, you went through a rough surgery!
note on this though, if you don't see any swelling go down by minimum of 40% after 1.5/2 weeks, get into contact with your doctor/surgeon.
| 6 | short thing to mention, up until yesterday i was extremely dizzy. this can happen and is normal, just rest as much as you can.
there can also be chance you won't be able too walk to the bathroom or get up on your own the first 2 days! prevent picking things up off of the ground, bending over, showering very hot and drink a lot of water!
| 7 | you should feel a lot more stable on your feet after the first 7 days. (i'm almost there and feel almost perfectly fine physically wise) you will probably be off of your more extreme pain meds, be able to walk wherever you want without tripping or feeling unsturdy, and take longer and hotter showers. i recommend you start building up your stamina again as quickly as you can. i'm talking, start getting your own drinks if you don't already do that. move rooms multiple times a day. get outside for just 10 minutes and go on a walk. this will help your recovery.
| 8 | try to move your mouth as less as possible! just like with a broken leg it shoudn't be overexhausted.
| 9 | now my most vengeful note... the food.
liquid, and i mean liquid that are like water and milkshakes, nothing in it that can get stuck. i will recommend some food and dietary advise at the end of this note!
it could be possible that you get elastics at the front of your teeth, meaning you can't open your jaw. so even smoothies with those little seeds in it might not get through and block the liquid! so watch out with where you get the placement of your elastics and ask your surgeoun about this.
if you can open your teeth, get to soft chew, to no chew diet in a week or two. i'm talking mashed potatos, maybe fish, i have these pancakes that you can warm up in the microwave that are so soft they literally melt into your mouth! find what works and use your tongue and the roof of your mouth ;)
some foods i'd recommend: breakfast: yoghurt (if needed, watered down with water!) smoothie (especially with greens) drink yoghurt. lunch: milkshake, yoghurt blended with fruits (strained if needed) protein shakes!
dinner: pasta that has been put into a blender and then through a strainer. zuchinni soup, chicken broth, tomato soup.
and all these foods should be repeated multiple times throughout a day! don't just eat 3 times because it won't be enough and to eat more is better for your recovery.
| 10 | last but not least, do what you love, after the first few days, you will be tired of just hanging on your bed and couch, once you start feeling better, set an alarm in the morning, do your morning routine and get to working. like doing your favourite hobby, meditating, painting that canvas, read a book, write an essay, catch up on work you havent been able to, read your school books. pick up journaling or knitting, origami!
your life does not end for 6 weeks, give yourself time to recover, but you can do it while enjoying life!
i hope this helps a bit for the people who might be curious, but good luck!
