I’m thinking a Yandere concept for Kakyoin as I could see some Yandere potential

Yandere! Noriaki Kakyoin Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Overprotective behavior, Possessive behavior, Jealousy, Theft, Manipulation, Delusional behavior, Threats, Violence, Murder, Blood, Isolation, Clingy behavior, Kidnapping, Dubious relationship.
First of all, Kakyoin would be obsessed with a fellow Crusader in this concept.
That would allow an easier way for his obsession to grow and you two to bond.
Although an alternative is you were originally classmates before becoming Crusaders (It would be an AU).
It's canon that Kakyoin wants to feel calm and at ease with a partner.
In that case I imagine he'd start as friends with his obsession, but fall for them when he realizes you soothe him.
He formally meets you when Jotaro removes the flesh bud from his head.
You no doubt have a Stand due to being a Crusader and are nice to him even after the flesh bud incident.
Jotaro may hold a grudge against him for a bit but you are a bit more understanding of the new threat.
For the most part Kakyoin is depicted as honorable, respectful, polite, prideful, yet loyal.
He isn't that bad to talk to and genuinely cares for the companions he has in the Crusaders.
Although he is cruel and ruthless towards opponents... It's a bit unnerving, actually.
Kakyoin's obsession would develop as Part 3 goes on.
Which leads to plenty of interaction with all the Crusaders.
Kakyoin gets used to all of the Crusaders, especially you.
He's close to all of them but you're the only one who has managed to believe in him and make him feel... relaxed despite the situation.
Which would make him realize his crush on you.
Like most/all of Stand Users, he'd use his Stand to keep track of his obsession.
It would be easier if you couldn't see Stands, yet he just needs to be more careful since you can.
I can see Kakyoin using Hierophant Green to keep an eye on you.
Like, at first he's using it to keep an eye on Stand Users in the area.
He just wants to make sure the crew stays safe on your journey and likes to look after you if the others can't.
Although eventually he may be more... sinister with his Stand.
Despite his personality I like to think Kakyoin is an unhinged yandere.
It starts with just wanting to be loyal and protect a friend.
But then he just gets... worse.
He's easily jealous and possessive with you, his Stand often acting as a spy more than a guardian.
He seems like he'd steal small objects from you or use Hierophant Green to stalk you if he can't.
Kakyoin seems like he's polite and honorable, right up until he falls into his obsession.
Now he's delusional and overly obsessive.
To the point I imagine he's almost like the classic yandere.
Things like daydreaming about you, giggling at the idea of being with you alone.
He tries to pretend he's still his usual self.
He's not... he lost that since he fell for you.
Due to how ruthless Kakyoin is with foes, rivals or those who "get in the way" are met with... brutality.
He doesn't have a problem, they don't understand his love.
I can see Kakyoin being terrifying if someone got in his way.
He may use Hierophant Green to threaten someone into staying away from you.
His gaze is cold the whole time, if that doesn't work...
Well, I wouldn't be too surprised if Kakyoin snapped and killed someone for you.
He'd hide it and pretend it never happened.
But his smile seems off and his eyes are... dark.
Kakyoin would be highly manipulative and convince you and the others that things are fine.
He'd most likely not hurt the other Crusaders, not unless he felt cornered.
Which may happen considering how close he is with you.
It's eerie how he's never away from you.
The others often suggest you don't share a room with him, Kakyoin often objects.
Even if the others are suspicious, Kakyoin is thankful you're open-minded.
Although you are concerned that he's been... a bit too attentive?
Oh I can just imagine Kakyoin's rage during the Yellow Temperance portion.
The moment he finds out someone was pretending to be him and was near you?
It would be a miracle if Kakyoin didn't kill him.
Kakyoin may also be physically affectionate.
He feels at ease in your arms, often asking you to not mind the others....
He's just stressed.
He lives for your touch and comfort.
Worried about the blood he forgot to clean?
Oh... It was just an enemy Stand User-
Question him? He remains stern and tells you not to worry about it.
Kakyoin seems like a master manipulator.
If the others confront him on his obsession, he may break the mask he puts on.
Who are they to say he can't have you?
If the others tried to separate you from Kakyoin, he'd put up a fight.
The only one I think can successfully subdue Kakyoin is probably Jotaro.
After all, clearly something is wrong with Kakyoin.
It's unhealthy to be so obsessive and possessive.
Yet Kakyoin doesn't seem to care.
He's killed for you... He can use Hierophant Green to keep you... The others can't keep you away from him.
He'll be beside you no matter what it takes.
Not only is he clingy and ruthless, he's delusional.
He thinks you're so nice to him because you love him.
In reality, you just care for all of the Crusaders.
But to Kakyoin... It means you're meant to be.
I don't think it's too far-fetched for him to defect from the Crusaders if he feels they'll take you from him.
One night you wake up no longer in your hotel room...
It's just you and him... His stand tightly wrapped around you.
Kakyoin may do anything to be with you, including kidnap you.
After defeating DIO, he plans to properly date and maybe even marry you.
The others can try to stop him... But push too far and he may just get rid of them too.
"You love me too, don't you? Don't worry... I'll make you happy, I promise. You'll never be alone when you have me... I won't let anyone else touch you...!"

He had been used to the multiple turns of life. So accustomed to the negatives that, the moment a little spark of light made itself present, he didn't know if he should be grateful or in edge.
And when it came to something as unknown as love, he was equally, if not more worried.
He had a few shares of crushes in the past, yes. But they were something that didn't last long, because he felt rather disappointed thinking about no one being really a match for him since they couldn't see such an important part of himself as hierophant green was.
However, when he found himself stealing glances at you every now and then, to the point where the rest of the crusaders noticed and started to make comments, he couldn't help but to silently panic.
You were absolutely wonderful, the most amazing and caring person he had ever met. And thus, he felt like any chance with you was rather far from happening. Still, he couldn't help but to wonder, to imagine how it would be to have that beautiful smile of yours directed to him and only him. To hear that sweet voice of yours saying his name every day, or blessing him with your touch.
And was really embarrassing how often he found himself lost in thought, daydreaming about it all. More when he believed he was discreet about it, just to even have Jotaro annoyingly telling him to just suck it up and do something, because he was losing his mind at the silliness of the situation.
And yet, he was too afraid to do so.
He would rather fight any stand user rather than to try to speak up about the way you made him feel. Because every time he thought he was ready to do it, the words caught up on his throat just by having your attention on him.
But he knew he had to do it soon, because he wouldn't be able to deal with seeing you go without telling how wonderful you were.
So he promised himself to push any doubts on the back of his mind, and to tell you everything as soon as both of you had a bit of time to relax.
As he reached your room that night, knocking on the door with shaky hands, he prayed for the miracle of you reciprocating his feelings.

Jotaro Kujo
- To be honest, I feel like Jotaro wouldn’t be too shocked about your stand. Surprised, yes, but not shocked. From the moment he met you, he sensed there was a strength you had that you had yet to show him, and he was glad to finally see it when you first brought out your stand!
- He’s actually quite interested in your stand, too! He finds it interesting you possess such a stand with your stature and personality, and he’s glad you have it! You decided to join them on their crusade, and he already knew you were strong to begin with, so having your stand too will help them a lot!
- He’ll definitely tease about it on occasion, but is genuinely happy when you two get to team up and take down a stand user. You both enjoy confusing your opponent and making them think they’ve got the upper hand before revealing your stands and making them think again.
Noriaki Kakyoin
- Kakyoin is definitely surprised to see your stand! You, his sweet and small beloved, wielding such terrifying power in the form of a kuchisake onna, it was hard not to gasp aloud when he first saw it!
- Kakyoin does get over this shock however, and while interested in it, he’s also just a bit terrified too. He knows you can keep it under control, but he’s heard stories about them from his classmates, and can’t help but feel a little scared too. You reassure him though that she’s alright, and it helps him! Kakyoin hopes to get over this fear as you all travel together, and he does!
- You two are able to combine your stands efficiently too! Kakyoin distracts enemies with Hierophant Green’s emeralds, and your stand goes in for an attack while they’re busy fighting them off! You’ve taken down many opponents this way, with make a great team!
Jean Pierre Polnareff
- The first time you brought your stand out, Polnareff thought it belonged to another stand user, and threw his arms around you saying Silver Chariot would protect you. However, with a nervous laugh, you let him know the Kuchisake onna was your own, and his jaw dropped.
- I imagine he’s very openly terrified at first, but grows used to it over time! In the beginning whenever you bring it out he actually cowers behind you, but the more and more you bring it out, he starts to recognize it and even look forward to it coming out! After all, he knows whenever it does, it means you two are gonna fight some stand users together!
- And speaking of fighting, you two work on ways to combine your stands and come up with effective techniques! Like the others, this usually involves one of you fighting first, and the other taking the stand user by surprise with that of your own.
Muhammad Avdol
- Avdol actually isn’t too surprised when you bring out your stand in front of him for the first time. You had told him stories about it beforehand, and though it’s slightly different from what he envisioned, he finds it quite interesting!
- Avdol is a man always interested in learning about culture and its aspects. When fighting with your stands, you take the time to tell him about her, and how you unlocked her too! Avdol listens intently, and usually follows up your tellings with more questions of his own! He’s very curious!
- And of course, your fighting together leads to you both developing somewhat of a technique! Whether your stands are coming out together, or one after the other, Avdol lets you know him and Magician’s Red have your back should any foe hurt you!
Joseph Joestar
- And finally Joseph, who I will admit was probably the most terrified of all the crusaders when you allows your Kuchisake onna to appear. He immediately screamed and ran behind you, yelping about how terrifying it was. However, with a laugh you patted his shoulder and told him she’ll only attack your enemies.
- He takes a while to get used to your stand... and oftentimes you’ll have to fight alone since Hermit Purple can’t really do too much offensive damage, but you make do! Even if he is terrified, Joseph slowly gets over his fears, and eventually its your stand that takes an interest in him! Whenever its out it’ll act really sweet and shy around him, much in contrast to how it takes down your opponents!
- You two manage to find an effective strategy, with Joseph using his stand to bind and hold enemy stand users while you bring out your Kuchisake onna to deal the final blows! In the end, whoever you’re up against are left terrified, and you two are left standing proud after a battle!

Noriaki Kakyoin
Noriaki is not used to protecting anyone, so he has to learn as he goes
He will not openly declare his desire to protect you, but he will not hide it either
In battle, he will try to repel enemy attacks from you with Hierophant Green
But during non-battle time, he will most likely monitor your well-being and will remind you of certain things like putting on sunscreen, drinking water, etc.
Since you are likely closer to him in the age group, he will be willing to listen to your age-specific problems
Despite the fact that it is awkward, he tries his best to help you anyhow, because deep down he thinks that this adventure is too much for you (hypocrite)
Muhammad Avdol
I see him as some kind of mentor or teacher
He is ready to protect you, but also tries to train you so that you can fight back the enemy
Initially, he was opposed to a young person like you joining the team, but he had to give up
Like Kakyoin, he will keep an eye on your condition, but he will be more open about his concerns
"You should focus more on the opponent's weaknesses and react to any of their openings. Being so careless won't do you any good!.. I really don't mean it in a bad way. Your enemies won't show mercy to you, so I want you to be able to fight properly. You are already doing a great job, but on our journey we should transcend our limits."
Jean Pierre Polnareff
Oh, he's definitely not projecting the situation with his younger sister onto you/sarc
He is one of the most open about his intentions in the team
He tells you directly that he wants to protect you
He will feel nervous if you are somewhere without someone to trust (aka a teammate)
Although it took him a while to get attached to you, perhaps some similarity between you and his sister was the catalyst for this
Random headcanon: He likes to show the team and you the cool stuff he finds in the markets you visit

Jotaro Kujo
He will definitely not show his real attitude towards you and will pretend that you annoy him

Hi! I was interested in getting a matchup!
My name is Beau and my pronouns are they/them, I’m also only halfway through part three in JJBA (just finished the episode where polnareff meets the judgment stand and reincarnates his sister) so im only familiar with characters from the first three parts lmaooo Im an ENFP and I also like to crochet, roller skate, draw, play videogames and dance Im also have ADHD so Im very hyper and love hanging out with people. I do befriend all kinds of people though, like my best friend of 6 years is super introverted and like super call meanwhile im like “AYO WHATS POPPIN” Im also only 5’1, the first thing people comment on when they first meet me is always how short I am and im like COME ON BRO PLEASE ST O P I do enjoy quiet moments with my friends and on my own as well, I always appreciate a little quiet crochet session every now and again lol my favorite kind of music is 60’-80’s since its what I was raised on, and I also love the fashion from that time period. ☆ kakyoin really appreciates that you're open minded and able to connect with those who are different from you. he's different than you in many regards but you still took the time to befriend him, and that's a big part of why he's fallen in love with you

☆ it's super interested in video games but likes to watch you play. he's sometimes convinced depending on the game, but he has the right idea. you'll be sitting on his lap or besides him (whichever is more comfortable to you) while he watches over your shoulder or on the bigger screen of your computer or tv
☆ avdol loves the bohemian style mixed with the hippie style. so he's so down with your music and aesthetic! he dresses that way too when he's more casual i headcanon, so you two match very well. you're like a walking pinterest board when you're heading on dates in public
☆ avdol gets the natural hair struggle! he is always here to help though, and he knows how to take care of various hair textures. if you don't want his help he's entirely okay with that too!
☆ if you need any accommodations because of your adhd he's already on it. written reminders, little notes, a text, whatever it is he's willing to do it. he's very considerate!
☆ like kakyoin, if you crochet him things he'll keep it forever. if you make him a tiny version of his stand he'll be so joyous. red will also love it, stealing it off of avdol's shelf and putting it into his own nest

Jjba Stone Ocean Ep 1 - 12 Thoughts
The main characters in part 6 have great designs. I think they might be my favourite. I like how much green, blue and gray is used. The core cast also has accents of yellow and orange, to give it a warm twist.
(This is a tangent but one thing I don't get is why does eveyone have their shoes connected with their pants. I guess since they are inmates they wouldn't need to take them off all that much but what about Jotaro? Does he walk in his house with the shoes he used outside? Do Americans do that? I checked and apparently some of them do. I don't understand at all. You are just making more work for yourself.)
The side characters I am a bit more mixed on. They don't hit the spot for me personally. They aren't all that memorable. Except for Gwess maybe.
The animation is worse that vento aureo imo but it has the issue of being overly detailed like it. I've always loved hatching but this just feels like extra workload. I don't understand why DP is so adamant about following the manga as closely as possible. I still like the animation but I've been thinking this for a while.
The Main Cast
Jolyne: I like her. She is like if Joseph wasn't a piece of shit. She is kind but not a pushover. She is suppose to be older than most of the other protags but she acts similarly to them. She can be very reckless sometimes but she doesn't really experience the consequences of that, not yet anyway. I am not saying these to insult her at all. She is the JoJo whi gave the bedt first impression to me. I also find it funny that the moonlight is enough to turn her on. My girl is an artist, a poet even.
The daddy issues are pretty obvious. She tries to catch his attention by commiting crimes. This need for attention shows a bit in her relationship with Romeo also.
Stone Free is 👌🏻👌🏻. My one complaint about her design would be that she doesn't have much interesting going on below the chest. The dotted pattern is cool but it doesn't give an interesting siluette. It's powers are the best part. She is close range like Star Platinum but she can unravel her arm to get range like Sticky Fingers. Stone Free is like if Hierophant was op. It's is faster, has more attacking power, seems more durable also, it allows Jolyne to unravel herself as well. My main issue is that it seems to pull shit out of its ass sometimes with just how much its strings can do.
Ermes: She is the more experienced one as she has been to prison before. She is the angry to Jolyne's cool. Thus she has the most warm colors in her design! Jolyne was always a delinquient but Ermes definitely one ups her in that regard. She is a lot more blunt and less trusting. She is also suppose to be masculine in the way she talks. She still has a feminine design though. I wouldn't really call her butch.
I don't like her stand though. I got a bit used to it but even still. It just looks ugly. I'm not too keen on its powers either. It damaging the copy when it merges hinders it more than it helps most of the time.
F.F. : I didn't imagine they would end up being so goofy. Their first appearance made them seem uninterested in connecting with humans but that couldn't be further from the truth. They are more than happy to talk once you get to know them. They are really excited about everything and I just find that lovely to be honest. I got a lil emotional when Jolyne saved them. Maybe shed a tear or two. Perhaps. I also love their design. The hat (?) is adorable. They contrast with the rest of the gang pretty well. They are my favourite so far :)
Emporio: Emporio is one of those characters that is hard to hate. I can't really find much to say about him yet. He is more of a plot device at this point. There is a lot you could do with him. He has literary grown up inside a prison. He has a lot of potential.
Weather Report: He seems like a nice person. I like his design a lot like the others. Especially the hair-hat. His memories were stolen by Pucci. It makes you think. Why is he in prison in the first place? I read somewhere that him and Pucci are brothers. That would explain some things.
Jotaro: Divorcecore Jotaro is here with his most insane fit yet. I have a lot to say I also have nothing to say. Just look at him. I'm not really surprised Jotaro "I am going to put myself in prison because I am afraid I will hurt my close ones" Kujo would separate himself from his family to protect them. Stands attract other stands, sure, but Jolyne would have been targeted by Dio's servants regardless since she is a Joestar. What if something like that happened while Jotaro was away? She got into prison before she got a stand and she would have gotten killed there. I don't really know what to think of Jotaro at this point. I remember when people were talking about this a few years ago. Almost all my mutuals are into jojo for some reason so I saw Stone Ocean in my dash a lot.
In the eye catches there was some text under the development potential of Star Platinum but I didn't wanna bother translating it.
Pucci: Imagine Dio being your best friend in 40 years of being on this Earth. I find hit hard to think Dio having a connection with anyone let alone a 16 year old who he spent a year with max. He says he met him in 1988, Sdc took place that year also I think.
Pucci saying Dio has a century worth of wisdom is pretty funny cuz while he is that old, he slept thru most of that so he is still pretty young.
Also, I just think it's silly that Pucci's entire plan relies on Jotaro still remembering the contents of a book he read more than 20 years ago at this point. Not to mention the few pages he read just happening to be the ones Pucci wants. That makes Pucci seem like a moron but it is funny so I'll give it pass.

Anonymous asked: Suppose an evil genius invented some sort of Stand Swap-inator Ray and decided to use it on you and your acquaintances. Which of them do you imagine would be the most tolerable trade?
"Stand swap?" The thought never really crossed her mind. With her being so attached to Star Platinum, she couldn't imagine replacing it with something else. The sheer idea of having of someone else having her Stand didn't sit right with her all. Fortunately for her, this was a hypothetical so the possibility of this happening was non existent or so she hoped it was.
Thinking about it, the people that she would have no issue with switching Stands were either Kakyoin or Avdol. They were the only ones that she would be okay with having Star Platinum, plus their Stands seem like they would be useful outside of fighting. Though they did have flaws. With Magicians Red, she didn't want to set everything on fire by accident, along with the fact that she wasn't a fan of extreme heat. Hierophant Green on the other, made her slightly uncomfortable after her fight with the redhead.
After weighing the pros and cons, she finally came to her decision. "If I had to pick, I would say that Kakyoin would be the better option."

Last night I got a revalation. I talked about this with my friend, and she loved the idea.
Okay so jjba in a Superhero AU (not that they aren't already super, but, you know) and in this AU imagine:
Spiderman!Kakyoin
buut he would still name himself Hierophant Green
He has the abilities to make him a spidersona or something (okay he wouldn't be an ordinary Spiderman because his powers would be HG's powers, but still. The way he uses them would make him a great Spiderman)
And his costume would be green, his mask would resemble of HG's face. He would be part of the Stardust Crusaders, a hero team made of six people with abilities (yes Iggy counts too 💜)
He never could befriend anyone because he didn't met superpeople who didn't want to destroy others. That was until he met the other 5, and became a member of the SDC. And that time with them was the best of his life. He felt that he found his friends. And they had a few great adventures together.
Sadly this team was short-lived when they fought Dio, who killed half of the team. After this Jotaro, Joseph and Polnareff retired and lived their life normally. (Until a rumor about a certain arrow got into their ears... but that might be a story for another time)
Years pass, and Jolyne is born. Jotaro never told her or Marina about his vigilante years because he wanted to protect them. There were a few pictures of them in civil, and the little Jolyne asked Jotaro about them, but he doesn't answer them, because it hurt him. But Uncle Pol still tells her stories about their adventures as tales when he visits the Kujos. Obviously he wouldn't tell her their real names. And maybe years later Jotaro would tell about other adventures too, but only would say his superhero name.
When she's 18-19 she awakens her superpowers (which are just Stone Free's abilities. I know this fits more as a spiderman/woman power than HG) and she tries to be a vigilante, keeping it as a secret.
But Jotaro eventually finds this out and doesn't like this, because her powers remind him of Kakyoin, one of his only friends he made, and because he doesn't want to her to make herself hurt while fighting.
Jotaro realises after a short fight vith some villains that she's capable of defending herself and he offers Jolyne his help to train whenever he's got time for it. And so she become this universe's Spiderwoman named as Stone Free.
And maybe during one of these trainings comes Miguel in this universe.
P.S: The heroes'/villains' names would be the same as the stands' names. Except for Bruno maybe. His name would be Zipper Man, because it's the perfect cheesy superhero name. XD

Okay I have a few more Jojo related questions! Do you think Joseph taught Kakyoin any of his string tricks since Heirophant Green can take on a string like form? Do you think Jolyne could learn a few things from Kakyoin since both their stand can change forms similarly? Hell maybe Jolyne could teach Kakyoin a few tricks too? That's not even getting into Jolyne and Joseph xD
i'd imagine kakyoin already having a lot of tricks in his arsenal when it comes to the hierophant's string abilities since he's had it for his entire life, and i scoured the wiki quickly and couldn't find any particular string-tricks joseph had done unless you count the clackers i guess. and considering joseph had only had the hermit for a few years at most by stardust crusaders i think it'd be more likely for him to pick up a few things from kakyoin if anything lol
i think i might've implied it a bit in my fics but yeah jolyne could and would pick things up from kakyoin if she had the chance. i find stone free and hierophant green to have an interesting mirroring in their abilities actually, there's something rly poetic to me about the hierophant being string stretching on to infinity and stone free involving jolyne having to tear apart her own body to get to a result anywhere close to that. i also think it would make sense for the hierophant and stone free to be able to perform similar feats like creating nets and detecting movement over a large are (which the both of them have done actually), though ultimately those are two stands with very distinct functions. i'd say the hierophant's abilities suit more for assaults and combat (emerald splash, possessing people, 20 meter radius splash...), but stone free has more versatility and defensive capabilities that the hierophant wouldn't be able to replicate imo (stitching wounds, möbius strip, turning most of jolyne herself into string...). but yes i could absolutely see there being mutual learning experiences these two would have, maybe it could even result to kakyoin using hierophant's string abilities more
as for jolyne and joseph i think those two would end up sharing more tips on pickpocketing than actually fighting aksjdh

AOC: Cardplayers
a/n: I asked my deck what a reading for this trio would look like and here we are.

The hut was small in comparison to her study- both rooms could easily fit inside it judging by how it looked on the outside. How could a space be so small, yet house so many oddities? The hut’s outside appearance lied to all watching about what it could possibly contain.
Zelda admired the trinkets and haphazardly displayed plants, potions, and other assorted goods in Iris’ living space. There’s just so many things to ask her. If she didn’t know better, Zelda would only think of her as a mystical hoarder. The bedroom door was closed, but she imagined what other mysteries could be inside. Even the dust highlighted in the sunlight from the window felt ethereal and specially placed. Her own study could never feel this cozy, no matter how much Zelda loved being in it.
Link simply sat beside her, silent but also curious. Only the ones who knew him best could tell by the glint in his eyes- often the only way to gauge his true thoughts. He didn’t have any burning questions, unlike the royal to his right. He felt her fidget in her seat, eyes darting everywhere.
Was it dust, glitter, dirt, or remains in that tattered leather pouch? What’s in all those corked bottles? Why are some of them sealed in wax? Some of these plants should be impossible to plant inside- how did she do it? Was that a-
“My Lily, you could summon a horde with the sound of your thoughts,” The witch laughed, turning from the counter to face a now flustered Zelda. “Do you want to ask about my living choices, or would you like to use our time on the cards?” Such an air of friendly teasing in her words.
“S-sorry! The cards please.” Zelda didn’t mind the nicknames Iris gave, but it always made her feel special in a strange platonic sense. It was a similar warmth to Urbosa’s ‘little bird.’ It was soft- gentle, even- in a world where a cursed prophecy required the worst parts of themselves to be put first.
Zelda realized she had spaced out, returning her gaze back to Iris.
She pulled beautifully worn cards from a sage green cloth. Iris closed her eyes, shuffling the cards with mastery. Her fingertips seemed to blur together as the cards moved. There was a faint energy in the air. All three of them felt it pull at their inner selves. What power could pull their questions into a carefully detailed piece of paper?
In rapid succession, Iris laid out seven cards. “Alright… what do we have?”
In front of Link lay the Page and 4 of Cups.
In front of Zelda lay the Hierophant and R! 8 of Wands.
In front of Iris lay the R! Sun and the Queen of Wands.
In the middle lay Justice.
“Ah.”
“Ah? What do you mean ‘ah,’ Iris?!”
“I mean ‘Ah.’ Like a pompous way to say the last syllable in your name.”
“Well, what does it say? Tell us!” Tell me, please…
“Don’t rush what you don’t yet understand, Highness.” Iris hummed as she looked the spread over. Her fingers gently hovered over each card, thoughts collecting before she spoke, “I think I know what it’s saying…”
“My Alium,” She turned to Link- his poker face unchanged, “…your cards mean to trust your instincts. Your passions and talents are unmatched in skill, yes, but there’s more to find if you look around. Let others help you; Don’t get tunnel vision.”
Link slowly nodded, pieces of his hair drifting over his face. Iris sensed reservations in the way he held his fists by his side, but said nothing. She shifted her weight to face Zelda- who was frantically scanning over all the cards. Easy there, Lily…
Zelda waited, anxious nerves tingling just underneath her skin. When Iris had told her she once knew cartomancy, she immediately begged for a reading. Zelda hoped that the cards would help her directly talk to the powers above, or at least give her answers to why her power wasn’t awakening.
“This figure is the Hierophant. Since it’s accompanied by the reversed 8 of wands, I think the powers want you to face your frustration with traditions and authority.” Iris closed her eyes, wiggling her fingers to find the right words. A breath before she continued, “You’re feeling stuck, most of it being entangled with standards of religion. Maybe let yourself be, well, yourself, instead of what His Majesty demands.”
“This is just what we already know!” Zelda stood in frustration, but hit her head off the bookshelf above the seat. She furiously rubbed the bump, both as a distraction from the pain and to just… move. Scream without screaming. Why can’t anyone give a straightforward answer!
Iris scooted her chair back, pulling the table with her. She figured that letting Zelda do what she needed would be better than anything else. Link followed suit, keeping his eyes on the environment for anything dangerous that could fall. The cards were jostled, but nothing overly disruptive disturbed their placements.
“I don’t mean to put so much into something so meaningless,” Zelda blinked back tears, “But by the Goddess I wanted some sort of straightforward answer.”
Iris cocked her head, “…I understand where you’re coming from, but this did give some insight-”
“NO IT DID NOT!” Her sudden yell silenced everything. It was as if even the very dust in the air came to a standstill, the plants seemed a bit less green, and the sunlight faded as clouds began to blot the sky. Zelda’s breaths became heavy as she tried to control her emotions. “What about your cards, huh? What do they say?! That you’re perfect and mighty enough to face this?!”
“I will not answer to someone yelling at me like that.” Iris interlocked her fingers, face stone cold. “Take all the time you need, but I will not tolerate this in my home.”
“You are to help me, Iris! You swore allegiance!”
“My allegiance is to Hyrule, not to someone who thinks yelling condescending insults will get her answers.” Iris waved a hand, maroon smoke sending the cards flying into the air. She reached out, randomly grabbing one as the rest fell wherever.
“Hmm… 9 of Swords,” Iris looked back at Zelda, “Go rest. You’ve got too much on your mind for clear thinking.” Another wave of the hand opened her bedroom door. Zelda stood defiant for only a moment, then sighed and retreated. The slam of the door rattled some pots, but nothing fell.
Link sat still, stunned at the sudden outburst. Not knowing what else to do, he knelt to pick up some of the scattered cards. Iris swirled maroon around, gathering ones he hadn’t grabbed.
“What did your cards say?”
Iris paused, looking up to make sure she heard correctly. Crimson met blue as their gaze set on each other. Link’s face blushed, realizing this was one of the very rare times he allowed himself to speak. He dared not move, suddenly too embarrassed to do anything beyond stare at her.
Iris’ face softened, thought a light blush graced her face. “Mine said that I’ve got to face some inner sorrows, but if I remain confident and determined, I should come out relatively okay. Anything could define that term, though. The middle card invited us to realize our impact on the Calamity if we stay to what’s true.”
Link smiled, looking at his hands. Seeing the remaining cards, he quickly offered them to her. There were only a few and they were all haphazardly clumped together, facing many ways. The Lovers card lay on top, just under his thumb. Iris chuckled before accepting them.
She knew that puzzled look on his face as she put the cards in the cloth. “The Lovers can be quite literal when they come up. Often times, though, they represent a choice to be made. There’s a duality to life that we tend to forget as we move along.” She finished tying off the cloth, moving to set it on the shelf, “But these are the cataclysmic prophesied times, so who knows how many choices we’ll have to make await us.”

The 2 extreme opposites of the Cyberdemon
(The 2 designs i mean are posted below, this here is just filler)
I've talked about these versions of the Cyberdemon in other posts of mine.
One is a design that never came to be but had a real model with photos and some concept art, including appearing in an unused cover for Doom 64.
The other appears in an obscure Wolfenstein spin-off and is the source for a certain lore that relates to the "idverse" and "Blazkowicz family tree", even if these concepts aren't entirely canon or coherent.
But i wonder what it'd be like if these 2 versions of the big bad who i consider to be the "Bowser of Doom" were to be enemies in a new game.
The "Super/Double" Cyberdemon or whatever it could be called.
(The model is by Gregor Punchatz and the art by Shawn Murphy)
In terms of gameplay, we expect it something basic like shooting 2 rockets in a pattern of 3 (Like a mix of the classic Cyberdemon and Mancubus' firing patterns/attacks).
And the armor plate on the abs suggests either more health or endurance, for an enemy that already had resistance from splash damage.
Though i also like to imagine it with grenades or flamethrower related attacks and if the 2 cyberlegs could have jets underneath, to make it float around and burn the floor.
(I'm also aware of the Annihilator from Realm667 and used in mods like Complex Doom; So another extra ability is homing rockets)
Harbinger of Doom
(Obviously sourced from Doomwiki)
In Wolfenstein RPG, he could charge/headbutt the player, push the player away, throw fireballs, perform a slap melee attack and drink from a pool of blood to self heal.
He also summons a few of the Shrieker/Tormentor enemies (In a way, Wolf RPG offers new demon types that could be related to Doom's Hell).
The original strategy was to stun him with a Tesla Gun and poke him with the Spear of Destiny. He loses an arm at some point and is defeated when he finally loses a leg.
Some ideas could even be interpretated in different ways like regaining health if standing on/touching blood floors/liquids.
Maybe he could shoot green fireballs like a Baron of Hell but with weird patterns and trajectories, like fireballs that split into other splitting/multiplying fireballs (Copying MetaDoom here).
Or take some other attacks that suit green magic.
(I can see his headcharge move make him comparable to the Maulotaur from Heretic)
What if the 2 overlapped?
This could fit that "evolution buff" system i once wrote, but also the idea of destructible limbs inlfuencing one form to turn into another.
Like if you shoot a Cyberdemon's cybernetic leg and cannon, it becomes an Harbinger.
But if you shoot its non-tech harm and leg, it can become a "Super" Cyberdemon.
If you shoot both arms or legs? I dunno lol.
Other forms?
One design idea is a fully tech cybernetic/armored Cyberdemon that could even have an extra gun on top of a shoulder or seem like it barely has flesh (Like an homage to Eternal's Tyrant having a metal skull under its face; Imagine it almost fully robotic).
(Fun fact: HDoomguy once did a sprite for a Cyberdemon design like that but sadly, the idea never took off)
Another design is a "ghostly" upper health of a Cyberdemon with chains on his wrists and fire underneath him, like Realm667's Hierophant/Afrit or D3 RoE's Helltime Hunter.
Because of the Maulotaur, i wonder about a "warrior" Cyberdemon that's almost like Eternal's Gladiator or that one concept design for the 2016 Hell Guards.
(Maybe even give it some collar referencing that one 3DO FMV images demon)
Make these phases for a Cyberdemon boss fight
Imagine a Cyberdemon that had like 5 phases or so based on the designs above and its main design, so it changed form and attacks based on phases.
1st phase is an Harbinger of Doom.
2nd phase is a traditional Cyberdemon with 2016/Tyrant related attacks.
3rd phase is the red D64 cut design.
4th phase is the full metal "terminator" Cyberdemon.
5th phase is the "spirit" upper health Cyberdemon.
And i guess some phases would include different attacks even if taken from other demons like Hell Guard abilities, energy shields, shooting green acid floors, teleportation etc.
Something that gives the idea of the Cyberdemon having a high position in Hell and if he really has a personal hatred towards Doomguy.
(Maybe make some lore that the Cyberdemon is a "character" because all Cyberdemon types share a consciousness or something, which applies to high tier demons)
About the Cyberdemon.
A cybernetic minotaur is like a perfect representation of Doom's setting, since it even mirrors the classic DOOM logo (Blue tech stuff and yellow bricks) to represent a certain dichotomy in the series.
Part of why i declare the Cyberdemon even more of a mascot than the Cacodemon, since its also the one ingame design that's comparable to the box art having that red demon with a gun attached.
(Then you have that one flesh wall with metal pipes texture)
Also, the Master Levels for D2 had some levels with a lore about the Cyberdemon being turned into a Doomguy and how his castle had his own throne.
(Some of these levels were part of Sverre André Kvernmo's Cabal series)

Kakyoin became interested in precious gems because of Hierophant Green, who likes to make creations out of emeralds and often pulls his user into antique shops and artisan bazaars during their journey to look for unique finds.
