stardust crusaders: with a s/o who does ballet
tw // none
contains: kujo jotaro, joseph joestar, kakyoin noriaki, muhammad avdol, jean pierre polnareff with a s/o who does ballet + nutcracker references. neutral!reader.
dora's note: this was a request from a sweet anon... i unwillingly posted it when it was unfinished and i lost the original ask because i had to delete it. if you're seeing this, i hope you enjoy it~🤍
word count: 1.9k
kujo jotaro
Tumblr media
↳ he didn't really want to have anything to do with this ballet thing at first, but when he noticed how passionate you were about it and how much dancing meant for you, he understood it was no joke.
↳ you'd never imagine jotaro watching ballet, but he ended up gladly coming to see every performance of yours.
↳ after all, he's secretly so glad that your passion isn't something tiring for him or too loud. relaxing in front of a good performance of yours is way better for him than go traveling somewhere or even get into dance clubs.
↳ he's obviously heard of the nutcracker before, so when he hears from you that you'll have to perform in it, jotaro's gonna look up for it and make some research to be more informed about it.
↳ jotaro will never say it out loud, but all the efforts you put into ballet and into rehearsals scare him. he'd rather see you more relaxed and doesn't really know how to deal with it.
↳ he's not good at taking care of his own tiredness, go figure someone else's. but he'll definitely do his best. don't expect too many displays of affection, but he will.
↳ "i can move the sofa out of the way if you wanna have a quick rehearsal in the living room."
↳ while you do rehearse for the nutcracker, he'd spy on you from behind the book he's reading on the couch. don't ever tell him you notice that.
↳ the consequence of this, is that you'll probably find yourself in star platinum's arms as soon as you seem to be losing your balance. the man wouldn't let you fall so easily, he definitely keeps an eye on you.
↳ the man is used to you stretching your muscles almost everywhere around the house. he wouldn't be surprised if he woke up to you trying the splits even in your sleep. jotaro used to look at you as if you were alien at first, but now his mind accepted the fact that ballet dancers do be just flexible.
↳ jotaro is glad you have such a passion, so that during festivities like christmas or for your birthday, he knows ballet accessories will be appreciated. easy gift! but don't tell anyone.
joseph joestar
Tumblr media
↳ oh gosh, joseph is such a supportive man. he's not a ballet kind of man, but it all becomes meaningless when it comes to supporting you. the man is gonna love ballet if it's you on the stage!
↳ definitely wants to try it too. he's kinda funny when he tries to dance with you, but you can tell he's doing his best.
↳ would you like to be spoilt? i hope so, because joseph is gonna use his huge amount of money to buy you unexpected gifts in the form of new ballet clothing, accessories and special pointe shoes with your name on them.
↳ when he gets to know you had a role in the nutcracker, he's on cloud nine and incredibly proud of you. he also specifies that his alarm clock's ringtone is one of the pieces from the nutcracker. oof.
↳ he's the kind of man who would help stretching your muscles or train with you. while you dance on the soothing music, he's gonna do push-ups or something for his muscles. on the soothing music.
↳ feeling responsible for a role in a piece like the nutcracker can easily be stressful. if you happen to have any breakdown, with joseph you won't be alone. he knows how to deal with you.
↳ but he also knows you don't like to rely on someone, above all on him, to be comforted. joseph always helps you and you don't want him to be overwhelmed. but he'll pull you closer using his hermit purple.
↳ "remember to dance and feel for yourself. not just to please whoever's gonna look at you."
↳ after you told him it's recommended to hit pointe shoes on the wall or scratch their bottom part, he'll always want to do that for you.
↳ he probably learns to reevaluate ballet thanks to you, your passion and the way you involve him in what you enjoy doing. if you're happy like that, then joseph is happy too, and he'll never stop reminding you that. he hasn't lost a single performance of yours.
↳ a downside (or perk) of having joseph as your main supporter is that he'll always make himself recognizable as the one who screams during your performances. what a man.
kakyoin noriaki
Tumblr media
↳ probably differently from what you think, he won't even care about ballet. not because he doesn't care about what you like, just because he thinks he shouldn't try to say anything about it since he's a gamer.
↳ but that's only until you show him the emerald accessories you bought to match hierophant green's aesthetic. then, he's amazed.
↳ hierophant green is even more amazed than kakyoin himself, it won't stop nuzzling against you because he's grateful about the fact that you bought it for him purposely. the stand is deeply affectionate to you.
↳ get ready for a lot of questions coming from your cherry boy. noriaki is new to this world, and realized what stands behind ballet is much more tiring and stressful than anything that stands behind videogames, somehow.
↳ he gets scared when you mention the nutcracker. luckily, you immediately explain it's just the title of a ballet representation in which you had a role. phew. he thought you were gonna dance on nuts to crack them.
↳ kakyoin gets easily concerned when you stretch next to him. he lives in the constant fear and panic that you will suddenly break a leg or get bad muscle pain.
↳ he can't understand the struggles of doing ballet, but will probably look for anything to help on the internet. he got traumatized by pointe shoes. someone save this man's soul, please.
↳ "ballet scares me... but listen, do you have any performances planned, by chance? i wanna see..."
↳ probably brought jotaro with him to watch your performance in order to show you off to someone. he's a proud boyfriend.
↳ noriaki is the kind of boyfriend who would bring a professional camera to your performances in order to get some videos of you dancing recorded. he definitely watches them when he's alone in his room, and asks himself how can he have such a talented s/o.
↳ he set up some led lights in a room, for you to be able to create the correct atmosphere when you feel like rehearsing. there are many colors. the coolest thing he's ever bought for you.
muhammad avdol
Tumblr media
↳ even if he's your boyfriend, he does behave like a dad. as soon as he gets to know you're into ballet, he'll turn into a proud parent. avdol's got no time to concern, he'll just be really happy for you have a passion like that.
↳ he'd read tarot cards for you everytime before a performance, and they always turn out positive. if they don't, he'll just tell you to be really careful.
↳ muhammad's always chill around you while you rehearse and tries not to look at you too much or interact too many times in order to not to distract you, but deep down, he's your number one fan and would look at you for hours.
↳ he tells everyone, when you get chosen to play a role in the nutcracker. it's something that gets often performed, but it's also so known that he takes it as if you were about to become a hollywood star.
↳ if you need someone's shoulder to cry on, he'll be the first one to embrace you. ballet isn't easy, and as much as he cherishes your passion, he'll always check on how you feel about it.
↳ last time he got too excited about your stage clothing, magician's red risked burning a pointe shoe of yours. luckily, avdol managed to handle it. he scolded his stand afterwards, but you petted it instead.
↳ no avdol, you can't get closer to the stage to take photos. you can take them from your seat. he's just like elementary school moms who want to take quality pictures of their children.
↳ "i know, falling during a performance feels horrible... come here, let me get you some ice..."
↳ he's the ceo of do-not-overwork-yourself and of if-you-feel-tired-please-stop. avdol will spoil you with cuddles after every rehearsal.
↳ if he notices you keep on comparing yourself to your fellow dancers, he'll make sure he makes you understand you're worth it just the way you are, and that you don't need to be like someone else to be talented. you'll always be his favourite either way, so you don't have to worry at all.
↳ you've let him decorate some accessories with patterns which are typical of his culture. your ballet teacher allowed you to dance in them. you couldn't be happier than that.
jean pierre polnareff
Tumblr media
↳ have you said ballet? he loves ballet, those graceful way of dancing, the classical music, the whole atmosphere's just perfect for him, might it be because of the romantic part of his frenchness, but he's gonna cherish your passion.
↳ he's gonna dance with you. jean doesn't know how to do it, of course. but will still do that. he just enjoys it. just let him.
↳ the man treats you to special meals after rehearsals, or maybe some bubble tea, warm chocolate, or anything he has at home that he can serve you as a treat. dancing is important, but having a full stomach matters more.
↳ as soon as you come out of your latest lesson and tell him you've been chosen to have a role in the nutcracker, he'd immediately pick you up and pepper you with kisses and reminders of how proud of you he is.
↳ he'd jokingly behave like a dance teacher, keeping your timings in check. nothing serious, of course, if you told him you feel like taking a pause, he'd stop and get you a glass of fresh water.
↳ the two of you just have a lot of fun like that. you allow yourself to combine successfully some quality time with the man you love and your passion for ballet.
↳ "you're doing so well, listen to your man, you're gonna shine, babe, like the sun! trés bien!"
↳ you two once had to interrupt a rehearsal without finishing it properly, because he had said your pointe shoes looked just like his hair and you couldn't hold back the laughter.
↳ polnareff's the kind of boyfriend who doesn't want to be in the audience during performances of yours, he has a special place in your dressing room and is allowed to come in and be your emotional support. nobody's gonna keep him from being there for you!
↳ most of the time, he uses silver chariot - carefully - to move people out of the way in order to get to you. this obviously confuses non stand users, but that doesn't matter to him, as far as he can get to you.
↳ he brings food with him, when he comes to see your performances, so that he can feed you after it ends. as i said before, dancing is important, but for jean, eating is essential!

✧ Fairy Tarot Cards
Tumblr media
Author/Artist: Radleigh Valentine & Howard David Johnson
Editor: Hay House
ISBN: 9781401957209
Link: https://www.hayhouse.co.uk/fairy-tarot-cards-deck
Having moved to a country with a prominently Gaelic background a few years ago, I took interest in the culture and was especially intrigued by the Fae. I thought to myself: “wouldn’t Tarot be a great way to connect with the Little People? Especially if there was a deck dedicated to them!”. I was only a Google search away from this deck. Here is how my experience with it went.
✧ The Box
The first thing I experienced was... frustration. The deck came sealed in plastic (Such a waste! How ironic for a deck portraying the protectors of Nature!) which was VERY difficult to take unseal without damaging the box. And guess what? Damage did indeed happen. But that’s alright, it’s only a box after all. So I took a deep breath and dove in.
Tumblr media
The box was very poor quality, worse than Tarotorial’s box, just plain awful. Which is a shame because the colours of the box are stunning and reminiscent of a Fluorite. The front of the box shows the Fairy that appears on the Princess of Summer card, the title of the deck, the author and artist and specifies that the deck contains 78 cards.
The back contains a blurb which goes as follows:
“The fairies are nature angels who assist us all with earthly concerns, including increasing our self-confidence and belief in our ability to make a positive difference in the world.
The 78 gorgeous cards in this deck are geared toward helping you “wear your invisible crown” and fulfil your life purpose. Radleigh Valentine calls Fairy Tarot Cards the “self-esteem deck” because the words and images are imbued with this intention. Inside, you’ll meet  Fairy Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses, set against the backdrop of iconic Glastonbury, England. The wisdom of the fairies, inscribed on each card and explained in the accompanying guidebook, will help you put your life on the fast track of Divine magic!
Fairy Tarot Cards makes a perfect companion to the best-selling Angel Tarot Cards. (In fact, you can mix the two decks for even more accurate and detailed readings!)”.
Considering that Mr. Valentine is a self-help author, no surprise that this deck would aim to help us be our best selves. I am however a bit uncomfortable about him referring to fairies as “God’s nature angels” (”nature angels” here, but he elaborates a bit in the booklet), imposing a monotheistic approach to a cultural concept aiming from polytheistic peoples.
There is also a QR code leading to the digital booklet. The sides of the box present us with the title, author’s name and editor logo.
✧ The Cards
Once you open the very frail box, you find very frail cards. This was the first thing that stroke me, not even the artwork. Some edges have been damaged solely by being in the box! I have not used this deck since I got it because I’m too afraid of completely ruining it by shuffling it!
The cards are also slightly smaller but wider than your regular RWS deck.
Tumblr media
The second thing that stroke me was that the illustration were framed in a square, each suite having this square surrounded by a specific colour. Under the square you find the meaning of the care and above the square you find the name and number of the card (Major Arcana) or the name of the card only (Minor Arcana).
Tumblr media
The illustrations are really pretty and well done. There is no doubt that they took a lot of time to create and, as an artist, I completely respect that. I only wish they used more of the cards space.
Tumblr media
Some of the Major Arcana have been renamed. The Fool is The Dreamer, The Hierophant is Unity, The Hanged Man is Awakening, Death is Release, Temperance is Balance, The Devil is Ego, The Tower is Life Experience and Judement is Renewal. It brings a more neutral, maybe even positive aura to the cards meanings.
Tumblr media
The 4 suites of the Minor Arcana are here renamed. You have the suite of Summer (Cups), Autumn (Pentacles), Winter (Swords) and Spring (Wands). I find this very creative and relevant to the fairies as this gives us the Court of Summer, the Court of Winter, and so on.
Tumblr media
The back of the cards features the Princess of Summer, just like the front of the box.
Tumblr media
✧ The Little White Book
While the box does not contain a printed booklet, you can access the digital version by scanning the QR code on the back of the box. This is not a bad idea as it saves paper. We are looking at 195 pages that expand on the meaning of all the Arcana. The booklet also explains how to prepare your deck, how to shuffle and how to formulate your questions. The two spreads suggested are a three card spread and the Celtic Cross.
✧ The Tryptich
Tumblr media
Strength is number 11 in this deck. The fairy in this card is accompanied by a Lion and a Lamb, suggesting that there is strength in kindness and gentleness. She has a hand on the Lions main, as if protecting him. It could also symbolise a restrain of our natural instincts that would get us to act harshly or in a rush (the lion’s face does have a menacing look), how kindness should overcome this sort of impulse. Notice the lemniscate jewel on the fairy’s forehead. The description under the picture is pretty on point.
Tumblr media
The Tower here is renamed “Life Experience” witch is the constructive outlook on what The Tower’s sudden upheaval brings. In a similar fashion, all threatening imagery has disappeared from this card. The two characters (who seem to be 3D renders?) stand in front of the tower, witch a fiery sky in the background. They don’t seem scared, confused or worried in any way. They are surrounded by mist and butterflies. The mist could be the uncertainty of the moment, the inability to see what the future holds while the butterflies could symbolise change, thusly still capturing a distilled version of the message The Tower bears.
Tumblr media
The Star looks very much like Tinker Bell. 9 stars surround her and water is pouring into her hands. You can see some more stars in the streams, suggesting their celestial origin. The Fairy seems to be facing a well of sorts and she is really enthusiastic. I don’t think this card conveys the message The Star usually does, nor the meaning you can find underneath the illustration.
✧ Conclusion
Likes
A digital booklet is an interesting format and saves paper
Gorgeous illustrations
The renaming of the Major and Minor Arcana is creative and positive
Dislikes
The overall poor quality of the deck
The unnecessary plastic seal
The renaming of the cards can be confusing for newcomers to Tarot
While pretty, some cards do not properly convey their meaning
The back of the cards being just a rehashed illustration of one of the Arcana
All around disappointing. I will keep an eye out for a better Fairy deck. It has a noble goal, wants to bring you positivity, but it feels not entirely thought through and is tainted by the author’s personal beliefs.

Hello sweetheart 😊🦋 May I request one of your readings? I feel RL♉️ a bit detached from me, could I have some advices on the situation? (Is he really mad at me? What are his feelings for me? What do you sense for the future?) anything you might channel about it really! 😘 thank you so much and I hope you have an amazing day 💛✨✨ - M ♎️ (igi)
Hey there, M.! Thank you for your patience, dear.
I hope you don’t mind me paraphrasing some of your questions to achieve the best possible advice.
It’s gotten long, please find your reading under the read more.
“What sort of tension currently affects the situation around RL and M?”
The cards: seven of wands, the hierophant, the tower, knight of cups, the star, nine of cups
Whu boy, what a ride. I have not cut the deck at all, they just kept dropping out while I shuffled and focused on the different aspects of the spread I chose.
Alright, the card that fell out immediately after I asked the question was seven of wands. Now, as you might know, or not know, the image on this card is a man fending off six other staves with his own stave. He stands upon a hill, suggesting an advantage of sorts. I’m taking this as additional card to the one for the first aspect,
the tensions nature: initially, the seven of wands suggest standing in for what you believe in, fighting for your standpoint, your values - anything that is dear to you but resulted in a clash of opinions. As a general heads-up, do think about what you see as such standpoint and value and if you truly assume you’re right to defend it, do so. The Hierophant ties in well with this. He suggests beliefs and traditions, the need to learn and listen, but also to clarify your own beliefs and values and to not blindly discard these or blindly follow or accept someone’s else values or beliefs.
Being numbered 5, the Hierophant also ties in with the 5′s of the Minor Arcana, which all show some sort of struggle or tension, something uncomfortable yet necessary. It’s a bit of a ride with the fives because they mean well but bring tension and misunderstandings and it can be a little upsetting at times to work through them. Eventually, they bring change but most times, it’s just a matter of change through growth.
So for this particular aspect, the cards seem to convey that in whatever way, there is a misunderstanding of values or beliefs, or a difference in opinions - something of that sort. The Hierophant generally tasks us to evaluate our beliefs and values and to determine which are truly meaningful and helpful to us or which may become a hindrance or are “out-dated”.
the conflicts nature: it’s The Tower popping out here, and before you squirm, it’s, again, change. But this change is rather suddenly, unexpected and sometimes seems a little rash and brutal but it means well. The source might be an argument that blew up unexpectedly, something either of you two found out and “struck the foundation”. Initially, The Tower is always the result of something that has been ignored or neglected or even avoided.
The Tower’s sudden gift of change (more like a “well, I waited enough NOW you will change if you want to or not”) can really be upsetting and emotionally painful and at times will leave you bruised for a bit, but every storm passes and if you picture a wild summer storm, you’ll also remember the sweet fresh scent of cleared air, of the rain on the grass, the tranquility.
The source, maybe being something ignored, avoided, neglected, an argument, something that struck your relationship out of the blue, should not be avoided more but faced. Clear the air, is what the Tower is telling you to do.
In numerology, The Tower carries the number 16 and 1+6 is 7 which, as you might remember, ties in with the 7 of wands. Standing your ground and facing these 6 staves that try to knock you off that hill.
I’m getting the vibe that there is something in the relationship between you and RL that needs to be addressed -that demands to be addressed-, no matter how small it might seem to be to either of you.
And with that, we reach the Knight of Cups, the aspect of where you two connect. Now, the Knight of cups is generally a card about romance and love. You haven’t specified if this is a romantic relationship or a friendship or a relationship of familial nature, but all these relationships require their own kind of love. You two seem to connect with your emotions, your feelings.
You put in love and care - in whatever way - and the Knight Of Cups carefully transports his cup across a river. It’s a small river, his horse will easily get over that and it’s going slowly so the Knight isn’t spilling anything. If you take the tower’s advice to clear the air, to face what was avoided, do it with love and care. Be sensitive and gentle. Take true and honest action because that is what’s needed to create a harmonious outcome.
Look what you get from your intuition if you think to yourself what happened what could have prompted RL to “detach” a bit from you. Or what prompted you to think RL did even though to RL things might not seem that way. I get the vibe of a misunderstanding here, perhaps, that’s what’s this all about and honest and true confrontation of the issue will bring it to resolution.
We’ve almost reached the end of the spread, dear M. what’s left is the aspect of where you two clash, and it’s interesting to see that The Knight of Cups directly transports his cup to The Star. Almost as if bringing the honest and true action to the optimistic and faithful nature of the Star.
In the Major Arcana, the Star comes right after The Tower. It speaks of optimism, faith, hope, healing, a good omen, emotional awareness, and good news. Seeing as this card is at the end of the spread, it’s the resolution the Tower and the Knight of Cups seem to promise.
But you two clash there, so it may be that your individual hopes, faith, and trust perhaps need to be sorted out. In a negative aspect, the Star speaks of self-doubt, pessimism, lost faith or faithlessness, discouragement, and insecurity.
Looking at the whole spread, there definitely is a tension which may leave both of you or either of you with the shadow aspects of the Star and again, The Tower and the seven of wands prompt you to face it, to stand up and get going so it doesn’t wear you or RL down.
After the star dropped out, the nine of cups dropped out as well. It speaks of victories over difficulties, emotional fulfillment and among the readers I know, it is said to be called “the wish card”.
I felt like having a look at the card at the bottom of the deck, the shadow card, which reveals an important aspect of the whole situation and, there is Justice - a card of fairness, of facing and accepting past mistakes and decisions, of considering the needs of others, a need for a balanced mind, and a need to see things for what they are and being objective.
“What lies ahead in RL’s and M’s future?”
The cards: four of swords, the lovers, six of wands
Ahead, the four of swords suggest a period of rest and regeneration, of contemplation and relief. Fill yourself with positive thoughts, good energy, and breathe slow, take that short pause to recover and then charge ahead refreshed and clear.
The Lovers speak of communication, overcoming differences through open and honest communication, honesty and well, love. The Lovers follows The Hierophant in the Major Arcana, just felt like mentioning that too as the Hierophant did appear in your spread before.
The need for open and honest communication follows the six of wands; victory, courage, advancement, good news, confidence, and positive results.
If the necessary efforts are made, things will turn out well.
Dear M., we’ve reached the end. I hope anything in here resonates with you or at least sparks a little something to go with. Best wishes!

One Piece Chapter 913 Review
Tumblr media
The good news is we are back with more One Piece after a week break. The bad news is there’s another break next week. In Oda’s defense, it’s due to a holiday week and this chapter is released in a double issue. He knows how to time his fans’ patience, that’s for sure. With that said he did leave a fun chapter for us to enjoy as well as another reunion inbound.
Right from the start, I’m reminded that Luffy and Zoro are about to fight against Hawkins and his crew. You can bet I was interested to see Luffy using a sword, which we will get to that in a moment. Hawkins asks if they are aware of the ruler of Wano Country behind the scene. Zoro lies, claiming he does not, but not only Luffy yells yes, but he bluntly say he will kick his ass with firing determination. I got a good laugh at that, especially when Zoro corrected him, he redo the scene with a no. Only Luffy.
I recalled Hawkins to be the guy who uses the cards to determine fate and use it as ability. He reads the chance of Luffy’s survival by the end of the month, which is 19%. That’s not too bad. At least Oda isn’t going to pull a total miracle, like “Amazing! Luffy broke the determined fate like breaking the future prediction! It’s a miracle!” I’m fine with this realistic chance. Before the battle breaks out, Zoro takes notice of Luffy’s sword. I thought this is where Zoro will get the sword and use it throughout the arc, but instead, comedy ensues.
I got a good laugh with this segment with Luffy hyped up to use the mighty cursed sword. He’s so hyped, he threw the sheath away. If a sword could cry, they would. Just looking at the panel makes me laugh at the stupidity. What’s even funnier (worse) is his first strike is Pistol Punch; fist to the enemy’s face with a sword happened to be held. Zoro’s reaction made me laugh as well. I imagined the anime version will be hilarious. Fun fact: Zoro is voiced by Kazuya Nakai, who also worked as Hijikata from Gintama. You could imagine the comedy execution already.
Luffy takes down a lizard with a toss; still holding a sword like its doing wonders. He knows how to make a sword unnecessary. Hawkins, on the other hand, knows how to make it useful and what way to start than an unusual ability that is Warabide Sword. It’s so weird that his sword is basically straws or something; nothing like a blade. Pretty harsh he used it on the lizard, who was only coming because of the toss. Even Luffy didn’t understand why he would do that.
Zoro strikes from afar and lands a hit right across Hawkins’ face. That was pretty damn cool. Sadly, it was a fake, but it’s not just a fake. It’s one of Hawkins’ men that takes the fall. His Straw Straw Fruit (Wara Wara no Mi) ability allows him to disguise one of his men, up to ten he claimed, as himself. So on one hand, that’s an impressive move to deceive anyone. On the other hand, that’s foul play to use a person to take the hit or kill for your benefit. What a terrifying technique.
Speaking of terrifying, he summons a death reaper-like creature out of nowhere, made out of straws no less. Oda and his imagination continues to astound me. Apparently, he wants to play a game with them for this is their end. I guess he’s channeling Jigsaw. The game is simple but freaky. He draws a card and whatever it represents, it will happen. When he draws a fool card in reverse, it’s a friendly-fire move that forced his men to attack each other. In other words, in his game, literally no one is safe. It’s sadist to even have a card that harms allies, and believes that he will draw a better card next time. Cool?
He then draws the Hierophant card in reverse, which means his summon can attack now. This sounds straight out of RPG gameplay with a powerful summon, but the cost is gamble. It mimics the movement of Hawkins, so if he swings, so does it too. Zoro blocks barely since it’s really strong. It even shoots nails from the mouth. Get it? Straws, nails. Oh Oda. But it won’t be for long until Zoro attacks with Nigiri Toro Samon. Now I’m hungry for one. As usual, Zoro is impressive enough to cut it down with ease. Before the battle can continue, Hawkins draws the Hierophant card, which means someone will aid them; thus, the battle ends here. That was fun while lasted.
A woman names O-Tsuru who mimics the Japanese cultural art design, which needless to say amusingly charming, appears behind them. It turns out that she’s the same woman who Zoro saved a chapter ago. I remember saying that maybe she is relevant later on, but who knows. Now we do. Oda and his ways to make every moment counts never cease to amaze me. She was just hiding in the dog’s tail. Luckily for them, she has the cure with the medicinal herb tea as well as a safe haven for them to stay. Funny how Zoro thought drinking normal tea is the cure, which made him livid. Hey, tea is a wonderful drink.
We are introduced with new area, Okobore Town, the town of leftovers. That sounds so sad. O-Kiku is being flirted by a sumo wrestler, Urashima. He looks like if Jinbei was a human. I’m not sure what this will lead to, outside that Kiku is the helping hand for Tsuru to save Tama. All I know is the town is literally filled with leftovers materials, including the recipe.
The chapter ends with another reunion inbound, but it’s not with Strawhats crew. Instead, it’s Law’s crewmates which includes Bepo, now portraying like a Samurai. The image kills me on how silly he looks. Standing out is right. It doesn’t specify on where exactly they’re at other than they’re at a top of a certain mountain, so it’s hard to say if they will approach to Luffy and Zoro immediately or continue to wait.
Tumblr media
Overall, this chapter was amusing with a fun action, funny moments, and more exploration of the country. I’m saddened that Luffy didn’t use the sword correctly, let alone even use it, but the comedy made me forgive. I wonder if he will continue to use it and that’s being generous. Hawkins got some interesting ability; once again surpassing the limit of imagination with a concept of a straw. The art is pretty good with its continuous use of Japanese cultural art implements.  We are set for another cooldown time, but I am fine with more build-up. Not fine with a break, but what can you do…
