You used to make food for two, but ever since that event, he left. He didn't send any letters which is understandable, after all he's a wanted fugitive in the eyes of the Shogunate.
Kaedehara Kazuha, your best friend, and fiance. You had planned him a beautiful feast for when he came home, but he never did. You only understood why he left when news of his bounty had hit the streets.
The Vision Hunt Decree, police, personal Shogunate soldiers, you name it. All had came to your door in search of him, when you had no clue. The tears you had cried during the nights without him there to hold and whisk you away to slumber.

You have lost count of the sleepless nights you had to wake through. Sometimes you would wait on the engawa with two cups of tea, just to fall asleep outside in a sitting position.
But with every letter, comes disapintment, not one letter from him telling you he's safe and well. He'd be the death of you, him and his flowery words, him and his delicate voice...
Years had passed and you've slowly gotten back into a rythm. Still yearning for him, but pushing forward. Words had passed through about a traveler's heroics and how they are on their way to Inazuma.
You wondered what they looked like, and out of curiosity you made your way to the docks of Ritou to get some fresh deliveries of Liyue tea when a familiar voice came through;
"[Insert]! I didn't expect to see you in Ritou, what are you picking up this time?"
"Oh Thoma-san! Lovely to see you here, I'm picking up some Liyue tea from Hiroto-san."
You knew the caretaker of the Yashiro home due to seeing him out around the city, and Komor tea house.
"I'm going to meet someone well known! Would you like to come along?"
"No thank you, I've been out all day and it's starting to get late. I'll see you again Thoma!"
You waved, picking up your order of Liyue tea before making your way out of Ritou and to your estate, the once know Kaedehara estate.
The leaves that blew around your home, gave it a beautiful color. You took a breath, as if wishing for him to be home. But like everyday, you were only greeted by the cleaners and no fiance.

Thoma's escape was now the number one topic discussed by everyone in Inazuma city and Ritou. You couldn't escape it, you felt relieved he managed to keep his vision but we're you getting tired of them over exaggerating the problem.
You found yourself in front of the estate again, it was late and the cleaners had gone home already by your order. You walked through the engawa towards your room, taking note of the leaves, the colour was a beautiful red... it matched him, it felt like him.
Extending your hand to the tree, a leaf fell from the tree slowly into your palm. It was soft, like his hair, the color reminisced his eyes... it felt so long.
You didn't feel it, tears slowly falling from your eyes. The moon was shining into the garden, illuminating the tree beautifully. You made your way towards it, sitting against it. "私の愛... "you mumbled, closing your eyes and resting under the tree.
"はい?” your eyes shot open. You looked around you, did your mind just prank you? You heard him, did you not? " Hello?" You spoke out, slowly standing up from the grass "Yes?"
You turned around, it came from the tree. Or to be more specific, behind the tree. You slowly made your way behind it and your heart stopped.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐭, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬.
"Kazuha?" Your voice trembled, tears starting to well in your eyes, as you saw your fiance, softly smiling up at you. "My love, my autumn, don't cry... " he says, bringing to stand.
He wrapped his arms around you, as you slowly began to whimper in his embrace.
"I deeply apologize for not coming back sooner, I apologize for not sending you letters, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry my love."
He gently lifts your face to look at your teary eyes, missing your nose, your cheeks, your forehead. The winds blew through, the chimes genlty ringing...

The night in mondstat was as any night, clear and cool. The perfect night to sit outside and have a drink, or just a simple dinner outside with your loved ones.
That is what Diluc decided to do. A small dinner to celebrate your two years spent together. Adeline had helped him, along with everyone else at dawn winery, to prepare a small surprise dinner for you when you came back from your work at the Goth hotel.
First was him giving a Boquet of Cecilias and Lamp Grasses;
"Happy anniversary my darling." They ere wrapped all in a lovely red bow, taken aback. "Diluc! These are beautiful, I'm afraid my gift won't suffice." Giving him a small gentle smile, one that he never grows tired of seeing. "No need to worry so much about that, your presence, love-" he gently wraps his arms around your waist, "and words, are all I need."
Next was a taking you picking grapes and fruits in front of the winery;
Placing a sunhat on you, before smiling and adjusting loose strands of hair in front of your face. "You look stunning.", " You look handsome." small laughs and giggles escaped before exiting the winery and walking towards the fields, hand-in-hand. You both picked grapes, apples, and sunsettias till the sun began to set.
And lastly, the dinner;
He informed you to get dressed in something comfy but elegant for you would be going out. Which was surprising in his case, most of your dates would happen in the manner away from public eye. The rarest ones are when you meet him leaving Angel's share to head home, allowing you both to stroll the streets of mondstat.
"Out? Are you sure?" You ask, sending a playful smile his way. "Not to town, just... you'll see." He fixes his jacket, and then leaves the room to wait for you down stairs.
After cleaning up your hair, you made your way down stairs. He stood near the stair case, gesturing his hand towards you, taking his hand, he led you towards the water near the winery...
"Oh Diluc! This is-" a path of lanterns trailed up to a table made for two looking over the river. Cecilias were in a vase on the table, "beautiful! You did all of this?", " I had help. Now, let's have dinner shall we?"

The time flew by with you and Diluc chatting the night away. You had long finished your dinner when Adeline appeared with a tray of small desserts and a small bottle of sorts. "Don't stay out too late you two."
The desserts weren't too sweet, a balance of bitter followed. But you were most curious about the bottle, your eyes lingered it to search for any hint of what it may be.
"It's enhanced grape juice, I made this a few months before." Diluc answers, watching your adorable face. "Wait, you planned this MONTHS before?", " Well, I did plan to drink this with you, but by the time it was ready to consume, it was nearing our anniversary so-" he opens the bottle and pours small amounts of it in the empty glasses. "Why not make it even more special, I haven't tried any, but Adeline said it was fragrant and refreshing." Holding up his glass, gesturing you to do the same. You both toast, talong a sip of his 'enhanced' grape juice.
"Mh! This tastes really good! What did you do to make it 'enhanced' if I may ask?", he smiles and says " You'll find out later down the line my love."
He pulls a small box from his jacket, and places it in front of you. "Open it.", you slowly reach for the box, what you saw inside made your eyes water when Diluc begins to speak:
"𝐌𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐈 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮."
He removes the ring from its velvet hold, sliding it onto your finger. "Will you accept my promise ring, my love?", " That's a silly question, yes!"
