⌛ - Let's talk about what comes before and after the actual event. What sort of things get your character in the mood? And what do they like to do right after? Are they the type to fall asleep right away, or do they have a serious aftercare routine?

Gosh these are elaborate!

I’m sure there’s a fancy term for people sexually turned on by stimulating conversation, banter, even verbal sparring, but I’ve maxed out my research for today. That’s Renathal historically. He’s the sort that’s fucked more than one of his political foes just because the interaction was so stimulating. But longer term attraction is more triggered by people who have and are willing to express a genuine affection for him (he’s a sucker for being praised and appreciated). And aftercare for Venthyr isn’t typically a thing but Renathal - the ‘people’ pleaser - is always going to want to check in to make sure his partner isn’t upset at something he did (assuming upsetting them wasn’t the intention)

Well, for the Venthyr, slow, thoughtful, genuine love making would be extremely kinky and Renathal is secretly very into that shit so I guess he’s the far end of the kinky scale 😎 But he’s fairly closeted about it so in an average liaison he’s going to be your regular mid-core, nothing to see here service dom with a praise kink significant enough to turn him into a nice little switch when he’s got a partner who knows how to ease him into it.

- Any names your character particularly likes to be called in bed? Anything that would turn them off instantly?

Oh I get to write this fic for Wend! Renathal likes being called a whole host of complimentary things and honorific titles, but he also likes hearing his name said in that certain way that makes him feel like a god (another title he would be happy to accept). All degradation would be an immediate and permanent turn off. Invoking Denathrius’ name during sex with him will also be an immediate deal breaker and possibly enough to incur outright and decidedly un-sexy punishment.
