peace enveloped you every time Itachi was by your side; nothing more than pure and simple serenity enveloped you in a deep mantle every time you were together. you didn't need to talk, you didn't even need to feel each other —just the certainty and knowledge that you were together, experiencing the same moment together, was enough for you to let yourself give in to the weariness of life and just exist. no promises or dreams were needed, there was no obligation in your relationship: only the presence of the other was required.

there was a depth of your love that was rarely spoken about: the way your hearts came together as naturally as magnets attracting, the way your souls gave themselves to each other without any fear of rejection or hesitation. there was a level of depth to your love that was enviable: the way your love was written in the most ancient constellations, already lived hundreds of times in different past lives, the way your passion was written by the most romantic poets that existed in every eternity.

your love was tranquility, the embodiment of clarity and serenity, just white lights lighting your way together, the most beautiful flowers spreading in a carpet of comfort and peace that would last for all eternity. nothing more than pure existence, the small pleasures of life, the total serenity of a reality that was adorned for you by all the gods and stars to guarantee the eternal duration of your love.

the curiosity of the sun peeking out on a foggy day.

each day came with a new opportunity for Sasuke to love you; curiosity drove Sasuke's actions, looking and searching among so many books and conversations for something that really made sense for your love story with him. he was looking for comfort in love, wandering through emotional labyrinths, carried away by the certainty that, at the end of that ball of complexities and confusions, you would be there to receive him.

it was as if a new light had entered your life, a clarity that dispelled all the fog that enveloped you without you knowing it. new experiences were brought with Sasuke; in the midst of shyness and uncertainties, almost carried away by the power of the clouds, you couldn't feel Sasuke's love right away —he appeared calmly, a little afraid of all the new emotions that had enveloped him since the day he met you; but when the clarity entered your hearts, when all the fog cleared, you could feel the warmth of Sasuke's affection, you could feel the comfort of the unique way he loved you.

simple good mornings masking breakfast dates with you; long walks wrapped in the natural silence of the world giving Sasuke the excuse of holding your hand to prevent falls; smiles too shy and quick to be remembered by you, but always so beautiful and natural for you to be able to admire them in mere seconds. Sasuke's love for you was shy, curious, a path to explore which he knew would be rewarding; for, if you were the object of his study, only passion could arise from Sasuke's learning.

“I'm still learning. and honestly I know I still have a lot to learn. but I feel like you've already taught me a lot, you've already taught me enough for me to know what I really want, what I really feel. however, I feel there is still a lot of room for learning —and for error. so I ask you. bear with me, please. I want to learn everything about you, about us. you gave me courage so that I could deal with a feeling so strong, so brutal, so frightening. you gave me hope and made me believe I can be loved and I can love someone. but above all, you gave me an opportunity. an opportunity to learn and grow alongside you. and that's what i need. of you and your patience. for i promise the whole world will be yours if you teach me everything i need to know about you, about us, about love.”

Shisui's love for you was purifying, a breath of fresh air in the midst of so much darkness that corrupted your soul without you even giving it permission to consume you; Shisui's love for you was enchanting, a shining light in your darkness, a symbol of hope you yearned for all your life; Shisui's love for you was eternal, brought by the brightest stars, lulled by the most beautiful flowers, sculpted by the heart of someone born only to love.

you felt freedom in his caresses; the way his slender fingers caressed your face, wiping away all temporal traces of melancholy clinging to your imperfections; the way he, so delicately and naturally, painted your skin with the affection and desire using the passionate inks of the most romantic gods who once wished to have someone like Shisui by their side.

there was passion and fire in Shisui's touch, fountains of poetry slipping through his lips like the wildest rivers, just to remind you over and over how inspiring it was to love you. because he could have brought you hope on the wings of the most beautiful dove, but it was you who gave meaning to that word; you were the one who reminded him how sweet it was, how tender it was, how captivating it was to love someone. you, and only you, the owner of the freedom that Shisui always wanted to achieve, the bearer of all the light that he so desperately needed —for everything you saw in Shisui was nothing more than a reflection of what you yourself offered him.

“you. you who gave me the pleasure of wandering in this life, yearning for tomorrow, dreaming of a future. it was you who brought hope to my heart, the comfort of vulnerability. you are liberating, a breath of fresh air, a light breeze that carries me on the wings of a love that I never dreamed of feeling, let alone living. Uh obviously he wants to know what kind of jutsu you’re using. How are you not a hokage or even higher than a hokage?! You’re literally changing the sky!

He wants to learn your jutsu. He wants to know how you do it so he can do it too.

There will be so many Naruto Uzumaki constellations, even better, ramen topping constellations!

He’s just so impressed and might be a bit annoyed with how you’re living your life when you can do something as cool as make constellations.

You’ll outgrow the nightmares and sleepless nights.

That’s what Sasuke tells himself the first night their team sleeps outside. This is the first in his list of beliefs. His ears are acutely tuned to the brushing of leaves against the ground and the creaking of branches, looking for an invisible enemy, but he knows that if there is, they would be silent and it would be over in a beat.

Like the night his brother annihilated the roots of his existence.

With fresh maroon across surfaces, Sasuke escaped to the relief of the forest clearing. This is all right, he thought, there is no shade of red here.

The same cover hangs overhead now, and just like that, he falls asleep.

“Sasuke-kun!”

Someone slaps his face hard. Somewhere, atop an obscure branch, Kakashi giggles.

A lighter shade of red—rose—fills his sights. Sakura’s hair is itchy on his nose and cheeks, and he feels annoyed, if not for the worried expression on her face. It’s the first time he sees features rearranged like this for him.

“You were screaming in your sleep,” her voice climbs down a notch, almost a whisper that barely carries over Naruto’s snoring.

Sasuke sits upright, not bothering to check remnants of sleep on the corners of his lids. It’s still dark, hours away from the beginning of a day, and hours lost again to what might be a sleepless rumination. He ponders whether he should feel embarrassed? Irritated for being woken up? (He doesn’t remember it, wouldn’t like to remember what it was about). Apologetic for disturbing her sleep?

“It’s okay,” she adds rather speedily, as if conjuring excuses for him, “You’re alone anyways.”

He should’ve shut his mouth. “What does that mean?”

She pauses to weigh her words. “There’s no one to wake you.”

What she means to say: no one hears your pain.

He deflects it with silence (well, what could he reply to that?) and walks away from their sleeping area. Sakura, drowsy-eyed yet still worried, clambers after his footsteps. Tch, annoying.

“You’re not sleeping,” she states the obvious.

“It’s almost morning.” Liar.

“Okay.” She sits cross-legged beside him, a full arm’s width away, and seemingly practices hand seals in the air. Despite the darkness, Sasuke could see they’re all sorts of wrong, but why would he care? He trains his gaze upwards and counts the stars, names the constellations, spots the dying streaks of embers.

“You missed boar,” he says.

Sakura corrects the sequence, and finally, she gets it right. She squeals with her whole body, he notices, as if happiness can ebb from each pore and travel the distance of a space of an arm.

Sasuke can touch it with his fingertips.

He lets himself feel the silly kind of giddy, and there’s a spring in his recount of the same sky.

Just like that, again, he falls asleep.

“Sasuke-kun!” And again, Sakura wakes him up, her voice still a whisper but her cheeks now brighter than her hair. Sasuke waits for her to relieve herself from his shoulder which, sometime in the ensuing hours, she has made a pillow of.

And the crown of her head, his.

Behind her, Kakashi is all set to go, a knowing smile playing out behind his mask (Of course Sasuke doesn’t see it but he’s sure! That old man has that smirk!). Naruto is crawling, butt rising first before his feet, the dawn creeping up to meet his skin.

When Sasuke gathers his things, he adds to his list several beliefs: (a) there’s a sleep without the crazy monsters; (b) he woke up earlier than Sakura but he didn’t move; (c) because she smelled nice and he managed a few good winks; (d) and he’s afraid of what this means.

Uzushiogakure

Now since I’ve been pulled into the Naruto fandom and have decided to worldbuild Uzushio, I’ll lay out some headcanons of mine and of things I’ve read from fanfics that I absolutely love.

These are specifically for a story I plan to write soon and so some of my worldbuilding is not canon at all. This is specifically made to push the story forward that I want to make.

* When Kaguya initially introduces chakra to the world, the Uzumaki clan already exists in what present day called Uzushio. They are stone workers a few families large that settled there out of a desire to get away from there war torn world. They learned how to navigate the dangerous whirlpools with their ships. Uzushio is settled in a shallow valley ringed by a large volcanic mountain range. The front faces a large bay which is ringed by several large islands.

When chakra settles into the world, a combination of the power of the whirlpools and large basins of magma under the earth draws a larger then usual amount of chakra into the bay, forming the spirit of Uzu. The Uzumaki make contact with the spirit and their souls and all their like-chakra descendants are bonded with the sentient chakra. This make it so that when the Uzumaki die, their spirits are able to stay on the earth until they want to move on. Only the Uzumaki are able to see their spirits, not even branch families that come from the Uzumaki and make their own clans can see the spirits.

With the latent chakra in the air and how much has gathered in the bay, the Uzumaki and the 4 other clans that make up the future Uzushio are granted longevity and vitality, with the Uzumaki living up to 150 year and the other clans, having come later, living to about 120.

The village of Uzushio doesn’t start out as a shinobi village and doesn’t even get that designation until Konoha is established 1000 years down the line as the first Hidden Village. Instead, they consider themselves a Chakra Village. The only people who can live in Uzushio are clans that can use chakra, as the majority of people who live in the elemental regions are civilians because they can’t use chakra. The people of Uzushio use chakra in their daily lives but are generally doing jobs that civilians do in canon, like being merchants, doctors, blacksmiths, fishermen, etc. But all of this is augmented with chakra abilities and seals. These clans that settled here were not separated and were actually called by the spirit of Uzu, who can sense the dispositions of clans and whether they were a good fit for the Uzumaki people. She called 4 clans that could come together to protect each other.

There was only one main clan that started as shinobi before they came to Uzushio in the first 100 years. They settled to be able to raise their children in peace much like they did in Konoha. But as other shinobi clans outside the Land of Eddys developed their own Kekkei Genkai, they found that their singular abilities was not enough to protect the merchants and clan civilians that wanted to travel as well as fulfill the daimyo and nobles requests. So they offered to train any person who wanted to become a shinobi. With this and other clans having already developed clan and chakra abilities and seals but not using them much for combat, the citizens of Uzushio are easily able to add a military side to their Village.

The Uzumaki were not originally royalty. While a daughter of Asura did marry into the clan and their members regularly chosen as the leader or Seiza (named for constellations who the fishermen followed as guides), they did not become royally until a Uzumaki leader married the only heir of the Daimyo. It was then decided that because of the Land of Eddys only extending a few islands past the domain of Uzushio, the roles of Daimyo and Seiza be merged, with the nobles city still existing and having their roles but the center of the government residing within the city of Uzushio. The samurai were appointed to be the guard of the nobles. Thankfully with the Land of Eddy’s being so small, the nobles have a pretty humble disposition for nobles and are rich off of land trade. Eventually as time wore on, the nobility died out and the samurai clans left for other lands. It was from then on that it became normalized for the main line Uzumaki to raise their children as future leaders of Uzushio from childhood.

Uzu has a big role in how Uzushio operates. Not only does she have to approve of the future leader of Uzushio, but she also decides if one is considered a part of Uzushio. While every child has a seal drawn on the bottom of their big toe at birth as to be able to recognize another Uzushioian by touching them, Uzu inhabits the space of Uzushio from the mountain range to the islands borders, below the seas and above. She also is connected to every body of water connected to the ocean. So even if a Uzushioian dips their toe in a stream in Kiri, if it’s connected to the ocean, Uzu can detect their innermost intentions. So if one marked with the seal but plans betray another Uzushioian, their seal is wiped away from their body and they are no longer considered part of Uzushio.

Thats all for now. I’ll probably explain in further depth who the clans are and other smaller details of Uzushio and it’s culture. But it could go on for awhile.

We spar early in the morning into the late afternoon. We bathe in the river and go into town. Both activities are laden with homoerotic tension. We go eat at Naruto's favourite restaurant (ramen restaurant) or my favourite restaurant (Taco Bell). Then we go stargazing. Naruto is very knowledgeable about different constellations. In fact, he named a star after me and him. My heart felt very warm when I heard this. Then we fall asleep under the stars, in each other's arms, as the sound of nature lulls us to sleep.

shisui would fall in love with that person who would always be there, without showing any signs of leaving; that person who would understand him when words were too long to express his thoughts and who would help him, always, every time, without asking for anything in return.

Obvious

Kakashi Hatake rarely finds himself craving romance. Usually, he’s too busy, but with Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke all pretty much out of the picture and the conflict in the village calming down, he doesn’t have a ton to do aside from the occasional mission. So, when he sees some of his friends start to go on dates and some of his former academy classmates and ANBU squad members getting married, he’s a little jealous.

He’s never had the time to date, and now he does. Naturally, he can’t help being curious, but since there’s no one in particular that catches his interest, he bides his time by completing mission after mission.

When he’s assigned to watch over Anko Mitarashi for his next mission, he does so without question. It’s considered an A-Rank because of Anko’s skill level, though Kakashi figures it isn’t anything he can’t handle. Tsunade only assigns him to the mission because she’s concerned that Anko was planning to sneak out of the village to find Orochimaru herself. After what happened to her during the Chunin exams, Kakashi knows that she- just like him- would end up dead if she went and tried to fight the Sannin herself, so he agrees to the mission; for the sake of keeping a comrade with good intentions safe.

The next few weeks are spent with him trailing Anko any time she’s not working at the academy, on a separate mission, or at the mission desk.

In those weeks, he notices the little things about her; how she reads romance novels in her spare time, how she feeds the stray cats that linger outside of her house, how hard she trains during the night. Little things that make her more human than he ever would’ve thought her before this. When Tsunade tells him that his mission is over and that Anko has been cleared of any suspicion, Kakashi backs off, but he’d be lying if he said that he didn’t still try to show up at places he knew Anko would be and linger around in hopes of seeing her.

It’s the first time he’s ever felt this way for anyone, so he doesn’t know what to do. Should he just go up to Anko and tell her that he wants to get to know her better? Should he ignore it? Should he tell his friends?

It’s a warm summer day when Kakashi finds himself at the local dango restaurant with Asuma, Kurenai, and Guy. For whatever reason, they’ve tolerated and loved him all these years, so he tries to take them out to eat every once in a while- to show that he appreciates them no matter how distant he may seem at times.

The four sit at a booth table with Kakashi and Guy sitting in one seat and Kurenai and Asuma sitting in the seat across from them. Meanwhile, Anko sits at the bar a few yards away, happily chatting away with Shizune. The two women down stick after stick of dango. Kakashi wonders if they’re together. Then, he hopes they’re not. The thought makes him jealous, which he hates, but then again, this new crush of his has been making him feel a lot of unsavory things lately.

Looking at Anko has him totally distracted from his food. She’s beautiful with light brown eyes that he swears have constellations in them and hair the color of blossoming wisterias. Her smile is infectious, so Kakashi finds himself smiling under his mask when Anko chuckles at a joke that Shizune tells. His heart beats slow yet hard within the confines of his chest.

“So, Kakashi,” Asuma starts, snapping Kakashi out of his lovestruck trance. He glances at the couple sitting across from him as if he hasn’t been zoned out for the past ten minutes. He realizes that everyone at the table is staring straight at him. “When did you start having a crush on Anko? Seems like a relatively new development.”

“What?” Kakashi blinks.

“What, do you not?” Kurenai questions while sipping from her drink. “You’ve been staring at her for, like, ten minutes. We’ve all been trying to get your attention for the last five.”

Kakashi glances over at Anko and, much to his embarrassment, she meets his gaze, smiles, and winks. He averts his visible eye and flushes bright red. Thankfully, the restaurant is bustling with enough noise that she can’t hear the grilling his friends are currently putting him through.

“I mean, I do, but is it really that obvious?” Kakashi questions back.

“Rival… This is the third time this week that you’ve invited us out for dango!” Guy points out.

“And?” Kakashi retorts.

He picks at his bowl of white rice. The restaurant sells mostly dango as well as some smaller items. Since Kakashi hates sweets, he ordered the most savory thing he could find- the plain rice. A little depressing, but more than worth it to see Anko.

“You hate sweets,” Asuma sighs.

“Ah… That’s true, but I can’t help it,” Kakashi murmurs. “I want to be where she is, always. There’s just something about her that makes me feel this way… I’ve never felt it before.”

“Oh, you’re down bad bad,” Asuma laughs and buries his face into Kurenai’s shoulder, clearly joking, but Kakashi can’t help how he instantly agrees with the statement.

“Yeah,” Kakashi sighs dreamily and buries his head in his arms. “I guess I am. How embarrassing…”

A few more days pass. Kakashi gets sent out of the village for a mission, and though he hopes it’ll prove as a distraction from his newfound feelings, it does no such thing. Rather, all he can think about is getting back to the village safely so he can see Anko again.

When he does get back to the village, the first stop he makes is at his apartment. It’s past nine at night, so he knows that Anko will most likely be at the bar with Ibiki or Shizune. He takes a shower, douses himself in lotion and cologne, puts on a new set of clothes, and heads for said bar while rehearsing everything he wants to say to her. The bar is right around the corner from his apartment, so he arrives fast and walks in to see Anko sitting at the counter.

By herself.

Kakashi sits right next to her even though there are plenty of other open spots. He prays to whatever god(s) is/are out there that she doesn’t think he’s creepy.

“Well, well, well,” Anko starts, turning to the silver-haired man with a grin. Much to Kakashi’s relief, she actually looks happy to see him. “If it isn’t Kakashi Hatake! I never see you here. What brings you to my side of town?”

“Just thought I’d grab a drink,” Kakashi shrugs and flags the bartender down to order himself a glass of whiskey on ice. “I got back from a mission a bit ago and could stand to wind down.”

“Makes sense,” Anko responds.

They’re quiet for a moment, but then, Kakashi decides to get straight to the point and ask-

“Say, Anko, are you seeing anyone right now?”

“Oh, God, no,” Anko answers with a wave of her hand. Then, she shakes her head and rests her elbows against the counter top. “Dating’s never really been my scene… Especially lately.”

Kakashi blinks. He’s relieved that Anko isn’t already dating someone else, though he’s also scared that she’s not open to dating at all if her response is anything to go off of.

“What makes you say that?”

“It’s not like people are lining up to ask me out. I mean, I don’t blame them! Damn near everyone knows what happened to me because of Orochimaru, and… Well, who would want to sign themselves up to deal with that baggage? I’m pretty great underneath all that, but shit! May as well throw away the whole suitcase and light it on fire at this point,” Anko laughs. Kakashi can tell that, behind the smile, Anko is bothered by what she’s talking about. “The few guys who have shown interest are just looking for something casual. Believe it or not, that’s not really my thing.”

“Why not? Not saying that you’re wrong for feeling that way, but I recall going through a phase where I’d have casual flings with other ANBU members while I was squad leader and it was honestly pretty nice… The only reason I ever stopped was because I got so busy.”

“I can see how it’d be beneficial to someone looking for physical satisfaction without any strings attached, but now that I’m getting older, I’d actually like to date to find someone to settle down with,” Anko retorts, much to Kakashi’s surprise. He never would’ve taken her as the ‘settling down’ type. “Maybe even someone to marry. That domestic kinda stuff, y’know? I’ve always wanted something like that… A family of my own.”

“Do you want kids?”

“Oh, hell no,” Anko snorts into her drink. “I’d fuck those little shits up. I just mean me, this hypothetical person that I marry, and my snakes. Maybe a couple cats.”

“Well, I share the sentiment,” Kakashi takes a swig of his drink, then continues. His cheeks burn bright red when Anko catches a peek at his face. He hopes she likes it as much as he likes hers. “I mean, I practically have three of my own children anyway with my team of Genin… I certainly don’t need any more.”

“Exactly! Those academy kids keep my hands full enough as it is, and the Genin are somehow even worse! See, Kakashi, you get me,” Anko, much to Kakashi’s surprise, reaches out, takes one of his hands, and squeezes it gently. The brief affectionate gesture has butterflies fluttering in the pit of his stomach, but seconds later, Anko is downing the rest of her drink and putting money down for her tab. “I’ve gotta go. I’ll see you around, yeah?”

“Uh,” Kakashi stammers, flustered. “Yeah. See you around.”

With that, Anko leaves, seemingly unaware of the fact that she’s gone and taken Kakashi’s heart with her.

The following days, Kakashi can’t seem to get enough of Anko. They meet at the bar at night, ‘run into each other’ at the dango stand during the day, and cross paths frequently. The emotions that she makes him feel are new and exciting, and he wants as much as he can get, so even though he knows it’s a little weird, he finds himself sitting up in a tree on the training grounds watching Anko train as he reads the Icha Icha book that sits in his lap.

In his spare hand is a bouquet of flowers. Anko doesn’t really seem like the romantic flowery type, but if he could just gather the courage to get down from the fucking tree and give them to her, he’s sure she would appreciate the gesture.

After Anko seems to finish her training, she puts her hands on her hips and calls up to him from where she stands on the ground.

“Kakashi, you can come on out!”

Great. Kakashi forgot that Anko can sense chakra signatures. She must’ve known about his presence the entire time.

With a sigh, he closes his book, puts it in his pocket, and scales down the tree so he can stand in front of Anko on the grass floor.

“So, you knew I was here, huh?” Kakashi sheepishly asks.

“Well, just because I’m not the legendary copy ninja Kakashi Hatake doesn’t mean I’m not a highly skilled Jonin who can tell when someone is following me,” Anko huffs and crosses her arms over her chest, walking away from the training grounds. Kakashi follows after her like a lost puppy. “I’m not stupid, you know!”

“Trust me, I know you’re not stupid, but… I must’ve gotten sloppy for you to notice me.”

“Is that an insult?” Anko demands while shooting a playful glare in Kakashi’s direction.

“Not at all.”

The two walk together, eventually ending up on the dirt road that Kakashi knows leads to Anko’s house. He doesn’t want to leave, and it doesn't seem like Anko wants him to either, so he doesn’t, simply following and waiting for her to say something else- anything else. He grips the bouquet of flowers’ stems perhaps a little too hard in anticipation.

“What are you up to?”

Upon being asked about his intentions, Kakashi panics. And, when Kakashi panics, he lies.

“Nothing, really.”

“So there’s no reason you’ve been following me around? No reason you just so happened to join me at the dango stand earlier? No reason you’ve been meeting me at the bar every night for almost a week despite never having gone before that? No reason you’ve been prying about my love life? No reason at all?”

“Nope.”

“You know, for a shinobi, you’re a terrible liar,” Anko points out. “Even with the mask on, you’ve got some pretty obvious tells… Even if the flowers in your hand weren’t a dead give away, though I wasn’t sure if those were for me or for the memorial stone as per usual.”

“I guess I have been pretty obvious lately, haven’t I?” Kakashi replies and awkwardly holds out the bouquet to Anko mid-step. She takes the flowers and holds them in her arms with a baffled look on her face. “And they’re for you.”

“So, are you going to tell me what’s going on or am I going to have to drag it out of you? I already know that Lady Tsunade had you following me. She told me all about it.”

“Did she now?” Kakashi inquires, embarrassed.

“After the fact, yes, but I also know that she dismissed you from that mission weeks ago. So, what’s the deal?”

“It’s, um…” Kakashi starts. He tries to figure out how to explain his feelings. Unfortunately, he’s so embarrassed and unsure of how to go about it that he can’t. “I… Well…”

“I’ve never seen you like this. Don’t tell me you’ve gone and developed a little crush now,” Anko jokes, but apparently, the face Kakashi makes in response to that gives him away. Anko’s eyes go wide as she stumbles over her response with a red face. “Oh. Oh my God. I was joking!”

“Well, I’m not,” Kakashi says, clearing his throat.

“I can tell,” Anko stops in the middle of the street, prompting Kakashi to do the same. She looks up at him and offers a small laugh. “You- uh- you really like me? You mean it?”

“Obviously.”

Anko pauses. Her expression twists like she doesn’t believe him.

“Why?” She asks.

“I think… We’re a lot alike,” Kakashi answers. “I’d never tried to get to know you before or thought about it too much, but after that mission, I noticed a lot of things about you. You’re funny, you’re hard working, you’re kind, we share a lot of interests, and… There’s just something about you that makes me feel things that no one else has ever made me feel before.”

Another pause, and then-

“Let’s go on a date tomorrow!”

Kakashi freezes at that.

Was it really that easy all along? He just had to say something? Suddenly, his friends’ recent teasing makes a lot more sense.

Part of him can’t believe it- no, he definitely can’t believe it. He reaches over to pinch himself, just to make sure it’s not a dream. When all he feels is a sting rather than the loneliness of waking up in his cold and empty bed, he blinks in surprise.

“Wait, really?”

“Kakashi, I can’t tell you the last time someone has liked me for me,” Anko laughs- almost as if Kakashi’s disbelief is terrible. Then, much to his surprise, she walks closer to him, tosses an arm over his shoulder, and presses a kiss to his cheek. “And you know what? I think I like you, too. So, yeah, let’s go on a date! We’ll meet at the dango stand tomorrow, and this time, it’ll be on purpose. How’s that sound?”

“Sounds wonderful,” Kakashi breathes, still taken aback. “Can I walk you home?”

“Not like I need you to,” Anko shrugs, then pulls away and holds the bouquet of flowers to her chest. At first, when she starts walking off, Kakashi is too caught up in his shock to follow her. But then, she turns back and winks at him. “But sure, if you want.”

With that, Kakashi rushes to walk by Anko’s side, silently planning out their date in his mind.

Bau (Bau is the Sumerian/Mesopotamian Goddess of Dogs, healing and life. She acts as a medic for the Ragnarok fights, healing god or human as she doesn’t have a side she is on. She just enjoys watching the fights and seeing the strength and endurance of both gods and humans.

Her seven dogs are absolutely loyal to her and in a battle are focused and well trained. But outside of battle, they are just typical goofy dogs, very affectionate with their owner but also affectionate to just about anyone that seems friendly.)

One Piece:

Kyoko Iro (Kyoko is a Geisha who was trying to become an Oiran in Wano when a rival Geisha sent assassins after her in order for her to become Oiran instead. Kyoko had to flee home and was left scared and unsure of people. Though the way she fled, she ended up captured before being released who knows where.)

Xia Malificia (A flirtatious, trouble making pirate who ate the fox zoan fruit. Her favorite thing to do is charm unsuspecting pirates or marines and robbing them blind. Also has many AUs including a Mirror Maiden Genshin Impact AU!)

Bleach:

Selene Fenagari: (Selene is…a dork. Easily distracted and acts rather dog-like, loving getting petted, chasing balls or animals, or even shifting and barking at cats. When on duty, she does her absolute best, serving the Gotei 13 in stopping villains or just protecting the people while out on patrol. Despite her silly antics, the people adore her and shower her with gifts and headpats.)

Pokemon:

Hex Maniac Kayleen:(Kayleen grew up around the occult, her parents super into it and trying to summon the paranormal as well as learn magic. Kayleen was terrified of it but slowly learned to embrace it when she met a friendly Gastly. From there she befriended other ghost and dark Pokemon, the scaredy-cat girl not enjoying it from time to time.

For a long time she was super shy and had social anxiety, but decided to be brave and try to face it by becoming a Pokemon trainer. Now alongside her ghost and dark type Pokemon cheering her on, she desires to learn and make friends and meet Pokemon she has never seen before. Has a Soul Eater verse under Alt. Verses!)

Naruto:

Midori Mihata (A clumsy, scared ninja girl who one would possibly say is the worst ninja ever. Wants to make her clan proud and tries hard to be the best she can be. Also gets rather flustered and shy around boys. Has a FF14 verse!)

Kiyomi Tenshi (Loud, rambunctious, and rather hyper and reckless, Kiyomi is also one that some would possibly say is a terrible ninja. She fights more like a martial artist, punching and kicking and running straight into bad guys.)

Naoko Shizuko (The only one who acts like a true ninja in the trio of Kunoichi, Naoko is soft spoken, almost monotone voice and always with an unreadable expression. Despite this, she is incredibly smart and well trained in her ninja techniques which involve shadow tricks. She is the one to get the other two out of danger most of the time.)

Fire Emblem Three Houses:

Diana Fotieni (Diana comes from Faerghus and is striving to become a knight of the kingdom like her mother before her. A student at the academy under the Blue Lions house, she is studious and trains hard, mostly to show the head of the house Dimitri her worth as a possible knight as he is heir to the throne. Has a Kingdom Hearts verse and a Final Fantasy XV verse as well!)

Genshin Impact:

Kyana Aeira (A Pyro Vision user from Mondstadt who dreams of becoming a Knight of Favonius one day. She works hard taking on random tasks from the people to prove herself capable. She is determined and optimistic and tends to listen more to her emotions than think with logic. Also has a One Piece verse but also many aus and can fit anywhere with heroes!)

Iyumi Akuma (Iyumi is a Fatui Mage hailing from Snezhnaya who is on the prowl for someone cute she can call hers. To most she acts vicious and snobby, ready to electrocute them should they get on her nerves.

But should she find the someone she wants, she becomes more adoring and flirty, chasing after them until she can have them. Which can turn into an aggressive chase should the other not want her. Also has a Pokemon verse, demon/vampire verse, dark goddess verse and many more!)

Amatus Koheikaze (A Oni girl from the Red Oni tribe of Inazuma, Amatus works hard as a samurai of her clan, fighting with a katana as well as using her Anemo vision. Though she acts rather serious, she holds a softer side that cares deeply for her tribe, desiring to protect them no matter what. Her mother is a human while her father is an Oni.)

My Hero Academia:

Tia “Usagi” Fayte (Bubbly kind of girly girl whose quirk is magnetism. She can make anything she touches become magnetic, even things that aren’t normally something you can stick magnets to like trees. She uses this alongside rollerblading to fight and calls herself Usagi for the jump tricks she can pull off while blading around. A student at UA. Also has a The World Ends with You verse!)

Kalliphae Myressei (A moth woman with the ability to heal others using a powder that emits from her. She is a princess of a far off kingdom. Acts with a noble air and always tries to follow her heart. She is a nurse of UA.)

Yugioh:

Miyuki Tenshi (A sweet, innocent duelist who uses a deck with angelic creatures revolving around the Sanctuary in the Sky card. She has a duel spirit, Happy Lover, and has yet to meet anyone else with one or that can see her. Has a Goddess verse alongside Iyumi, a Fairy verse and an Angel verse!)

Monster Hunter:

Sonafuwa(A Paolumu who gained the ability to turn human. Sonafuwa is shy and tends to stay in the trees and away from hunters so she won’t get hunted. When she meets someone friendly, she becomes more calm and is happy to make a new friend)

Sakura (A Pink Rathian that gained the ability to turn human. Territorial at first but can become friendly if she sees the other means no harm. Prissy and doesn’t mind Hunters so long as she isn’t their target.)

Twisted Wonderland:

Colette Eirina (Twisted from Giselle from Enchanted! Colette is the princess of a small kingdom. It’s surrounded by a river, forest and mountains in the back, the kingdom known for its mining of gems from those mountains.

Colette usually stays in her castle but got accepted into RSA as a student. She tends to cause a lot of trouble at home with her ditzy behavior. In fact her air headed ways gets her kidnapped and held for ransom a lot which has really hurt the kingdom financially.)

Fandomless:

Kishi MacAuley (The self proclaimed Captain of an all girl pirate crew calling themselves the Love Seekers. Kishi is hyper and boy crazy as well as a tad reckless, willing to go through any danger if it means finding cute guys and treasure along the way)

Zalira Deona: (A succubus who doesn’t really do succubus things. Her mom and dad are a powerful incubus and succubus pair who wanted her to follow in their footsteps. But all Zalira wanted was to laze around and eat human snacks and indulge in their culture (like manga!). Before they could send her to a demon academy, she ran away from home and ended up among humans.)

Cheza Fènghuáng (Princess of the city of Nán Sòng, Cheza is rather anti-social and a major bookworm, usually seen cooped up in her private library. Her kingdom is a matriarchy, led by her mischievous mother. Cheza has the ability to conjure fire and turn into a phoenix)

Seraphaura(Seraphaura is from a clan of lamias who hunt humans for fun and for food while also eating other things. But Seraphaura is completely different from them. She has seen an innocent human devoured and wishes to protect them and learn about them. Because of this, her clan laughed at her and was bullied and ridiculed for it. But despite that, she still wishes to learn about humans and their culture.)

Vivianne Noira (Growing up alone in the world has hardened Vivi. She can be untrusting towards strangers though some have shown her some kindness to help her out. She can come off as brash, even possibly rude. But she doesn’t mean to be. Vivi feels she must be tough in order to survive. However if she sees someone in need, she may go out of her way to help them depending on what they need help with.)

Angeline Tenebris(A vampire from a family of vampires sworn to keep their race a secret. They are respected nobles of a town, well-known for their business and wealth. Though most of her family tries to keep their status clean, Angeline is a bit rebellious and curious about the world and frequently sneaks out to learn more about it.)

Fayeth Neri (A dragon girl who is rather air-headed and sometimes slow to speak, making it seem like nothing is going on in her head. And maybe nothing is. She is very laid back and cheerful, always having a lazy smile on her face.)

Chloe Thaleia (Mischievous thief from a family of thieves looking for her older brother who left home when she was a child. Will steal from you playfully then give it back once she’s caught. Has a magical greatsword she stole that can use the four elements but she has no idea how to use it.)

Aiolos Thaleia (Older brother of Chloe. After witnessing his uncle (who had taught them all they know about being a thief) break the family code by murdering someone, he decided to go on a different path and leave the family. He strives to be a knight or a guard, something he sees as more honorable.)

Ai Malificia (A sweet, innocent girl who was sheltered due to her overprotective parents. She grew up around flowers and a flower shop and developed magic pertaining to plants. Has a Fire Emblem Three Houses verse and a Goddess verse!)

Azathira (Sci Fi OC! Azathira is a well trained assassin alien. Her species thrives in being the best at fighting and killing and she is no different. She makes her living taking on bounties and delights in taking them down. Then uses the money to partake in a feast wherever she goes.

On the side, she sometimes steals things as well, mostly from the person she killed. She travels around taking jobs and simply exploring the universe all on her own. Though a small part of her almost wishes she could have some company for once.)

Ourania Thanos (A dragon that can turn into a human. Cocky, egotistical, and loves to show off to others. Loves to fight people just to fight strong opponents and also loves to eat lots of meat and drinks lots of ale.)

Nikki Irving(An oddball Alchemist of a girl who stumbled upon a cursed Eldritch Being who had been shrunk and turned into a tiny octopus. She decided to keep it as a pet, named it Tickles, and has no idea it is slowly influencing her mind. Has a Pokemon verse!)

Aku Yazoi(A wannabe punk boy who is hot tempered and tries to act cool but is a sucker for cute girls. Is kind of a dweeb. Loves to race on his motorcycle. Has a Yugioh 5Ds verse!)

Echoes of the Stars | PrapaiSky.

He had stood beneath the celestial canvas, a mere mortal in the vast expanse of the universe, and he had gambled. Stardust had cascaded upon him, a cosmic rain that had bathed his soul, seeped into his very being, and left an indelible mark. It smudged his existence, mingling with his essence until he became a constellation of shattered fragments, a fragment of a forgotten star, where the flickering light of hope surrendered to the weight of cosmic demise, and he, a witness to the tragic symphony of celestial decay, experienced the death of a star reverberating through his bones. He had sworn that he was done with that cosmic nonsense. Refuses to fall back into that celestial romance bullshit. Or: Sky is caught up in the wonder that is being in love with Prapai and discovers that not all love is as fragile and ephemeral as a spider's web.

3. Succor

Harry thinks it's safe to say that he can't have a normal year at Hogwarts; the assassination attempts from the DADA teachers (sorry Professor Lupin Remus), murderers out to get him (no offense Sirius), and false accusations (could they be any less original?) are proof enough of that fact. He's right of course, as his name just happens to be one of the names the magical cup picks for the Triwizard Tournament (despite him not putting his name but, does anybody care? Of course, not) and so it begins... But this time Harry finds he has two ingenious, inventive, mischievous, and slightly insane red-headed twins, to help him. However, this time Harry finds that not only does he have to deal with a homicidal maniac, overprotective godfathers, countless assassination attempts, prank wars, an abusive family, and the pressure of the whole wizarding world on his shoulders. He also has to deal with the avalanche of emotions that two amber-eyed chaotic individuals cause. Merlin's beard, where was a bottle of Firewhisky when you needed one?

4. Survivor | SasuNaru

Sasuke's scars were more than just physical marks on his skin. Each one was a reminder of a past battle, mistake, and wound that had yet to fully heal. When he looked at them, he couldn't help but relive those moments, feeling the same pain and anger as he did then. All he could see were the battles that had carved themselves on his skin. But when Naruto looked at Sasuke's scars, he saw something different. He saw the strength that had been forged through those battles, the resilience that had been born from those mistakes, and the determination that had emerged from those wounds. He sees a portrait of the person they have created. The man who has weathered so much, Sasuke's scars are a symbol of his unyielding spirit. All Naruto can see is the man that Sasuke has become.

5. New Lights | Drarry

Harry is used to the universe toying with him and being an overall bitch. He's used to sudden deaths (it's inevitable), false accusations (he doesn't get paid enough for it), and assassination attempts by the DADA teacher (really, where was the originality?). So watching Draco Malfoy revealing that they were in a relationship in the most Malfoy way possible? Please. He saw it coming from a mile away. "Fuck off, Weasley!" the blond retorted back, ignoring the outraged expression on Hermione's face. "I'm checking on my boyfriend and for the love of Merlin stop yelling, you're gonna give him a headache!" the blonde turned back to the emerald-eyed boy with a look of concern. "Are you okay, love? Do you want Father to sue the train?" God, he needed a cup of coffee (or something stronger, that would do as well). Or: I make a story based on a meme because, why not?
