To answer your speculation about upcoming characters: sadly I don’t think Alice is gonna get a hunter version as she was never seen as a hunter in the POV of norton, melly or orpheus, however devs have let it slip that we’re going to get a hunter to hunter switch and a new survivor (possibly the pilot that was leaked along side journalist 👀). There’s going to be more info on May 3rd so I’m excited
Aww, Alice not having a hunter version is kinda sad, but oh well. It would probably be hard anyways but the idea would have been interesting in the future hehe

Have you ever heard of Lilto? He is the Hero of Legend's successor from the 1995 manga Oath of Lilto? (I wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't since the manga only has a volume translated)
Nope! I’m not a particularly avid reader, it’s really hard for me. But this sort of topic does interest me a lot, I love digging for info about all the unknown content from the Japanese versions of different games. Especially as a ship artist, there’s a lot of things the English fan base just isn’t aware of because certain words don’t translate quite as well or they change things for whatever reason. Big example would be the sheikah logs from Breath if the Wild. It’s really sad how much info on Link and Zelda’s relationship is ereased in the translation :(

ok more of a debate but I think that the scene where the spy girls find out Lou is a prototype is some what significant.
So from rough memory I'm gonna just briefly explain what happened. Tuesday is still kinda ditsy about the whole thing, her main focus is on whether that's a bad thing. Lydia doesn't seem very fazed but still shocked to an extent. BUT (to me at least) Kitty seems kind of uncomfortable. She's clearly seen kind of backing away.
I think Kitty felt uncomfortable because she felt lied and betrayed to. Well I mean yea obviously all of them would have felt like that but she seemed to be the most loyal to him in a way. Yes, Tuesday and Lydia were too, but Tuesday was mostly distracted by Lou's charms and good looks, Lydia seemed to be kind of meh about it. But Kitty seemed the most dedicated to him? Like this guy she works for turns out to be a fake? everyone's shocked yea, but based on her body language she seemed extremely uncomfortable and disturbed.
Maybe it just clicked in her head faster that Lou literally manipulated all of them to think that the uglydolls were bad. Probably most heavy on the spy girls because they did Lou's dirty work in sabotaging them and all that. Also another piece of evidence I have to support the fact that Kitty was the most loyal to Lou is that she was not easily distracted. Like when they first say Ox, Lydia was about to start talking about how she loved bunnies while Kitty was focused on the main goal.
There's so much other things I have to say but I CANT REMEMBER

stuff under the cut, i feel like i'm going to ramble A LOT (we gotta love digging in too deep into some silly kids film WEEEEE)
i just rewatched the scene, and yeah i totally see that. i first thought that kitty was uncomfortable cause lou said he was a prototype (which seems like the dolls consider it a bad thing) and called them all "sycophants", but even before that she's got her eyebrows furrowed and her body language is closed in and kinda on the defensive.
i personally feel like the girls have been working for lou for years, as that would make sense as to why they would feel so betrayed by lou. if they were new dolls, they wouldn't care as much, just like the other prettydolls.
i was thinking that perhaps lou wanted a message man (or rather spy) of sorts. sure, he has the robots, but they were there to assist in training only. he wanted a doll to do more dirty work, like spying and receiving information (e.g. learning about gossip etc) so he could gain more power and influence over the other dolls. so, he hired kitty (perhaps since he noticed how strategic and calculated kitty is through her training etc). and since kitty was friends with lydia and tuesday, and was probably inseparable from them, lou hired the three of them. that would make more sense if lydia and tuesday just tagged along for their friend since, and as you said, kitty normally is the one to take action whilst tuesday and lydia are normally distracted.
...but whilst on this topic, i'd like to bring up another thing. i suppose that, yeah, the moments after the gauntlet do show a turning point in the spy girls' (and especially kitty's) trust towards lou, as well as when lou says something along the lines of "and if you think that you're going to take that away from me, you're just as empty-headed as the rest of them".
but there's another moment when you see kitty's trust waver. when lou breaks mandy's glasses.
mandy is obviously devastated, but look at kitty! the other spy girls seem unbothered, but kitty seems upset. and i don't think it's because of lou breaking mandy's glasses, as she was still smugly grinning as lou took them off and smashed them, but she's rather upset over mandy's devastated expression. it seems like kitty genuinely cares about mandy, and seeing her upset makes kitty upset too.
so i think that lou, kitty and mandy all had a close bond. and in this moment, kitty is probably internally debating which side she's on, because she seems to care about both lou and mandy.
on a side note, another moment where kitty seems to care about mandy is trying to get her to join in with the girls' conversation when they first appear.
it's a small gesture, but it seems like mandy is the outsider of the group, and kitty is trying to get her to be more involved. how sweet <3
back to the recycling scene, kitty expresses regret in this shot too. tuesday is like "uhh what just happened", lydia is like "HE DID NOT JUST DO THAT" and kitty is genuinely rethinking EVERYTHING. it looks like she's almost reaching out, thinking about holding lou back to stop him. i doubt the spy girls have seen lou go to such lengths before, as recycling was only recently opened up again. so seeing this must be such a shock to kitty, and probably made her uncomfortable of lou after that point.

We can confirm Papyrus for most mistreated just by the sheer fact that you, poll runner, put him up against Hunter in the first round (pensive emoji) To be fair to him (and us, the Papyrus enjoyers) he put up a hell of a fight. The difference in Hunter and Papyrus' fandom experience is night and day. Hunter is beloved. Hunter is celebrated. People HC he is neurodivergent and it is used to elevate him.
Papyrus, intentionally or not, is written like he's neurodivergent and the fandom took one look at him and for the last nearly 8 years has decided he need to be murdered to further his brother's angst-overfilled storylines, or that he's too stupid to live and is taken advantage of, or that people aren't allowed to swear around him or telling him his poorly cooked spaghetti is bad because otherwise Sans Will Kill You. Like as someone who reads Papyrus/reader inserts, it drives me fucking nuts, it's ALL reverse harems focused on Sans. The ones that don't are shit like. Fucking. Sans threatens to kill you if you even date Papyrus. Sans threatens you with his eyes from across the room if you dare even THINK to suggest Papyrus' spaghetti could be improved.
A trope I have seen on more than one occasion is these shitty reverse harem fics tagging it for Papyrus/reader romance and then they have Papyrus say he's ace and he just fucking ceases to exist. Horrortale Papyrus is meant to be the same as UT Papyrus but he gets a different ending that goes wrong. On at least one occasion in these terrible fics where Papyrus says "I'm Ace" and then ne does the peace sign and fades away, horror Papyrus is also there and even though the FIC ACKNOWLEDGED THEY SHOULD BE THE SAME, THEY SAID HORROR PAPYRUS WASN'T ACE "ANYMORE" which just proves people put often make classic Papyrus ace to kick him out of the big kids romance room, which as an ace person pisses me off.
One of my favorite fics ever involves the world being reset after the reader develops a relationship with him and suddenly it's a murder run and reader remembers Papyrus exists so they go into the mountain and are helping SANS FIGHT FRISK???? And there's like one fucking chapter left and we don't even get to see the reader rebuild their relationship with Papyrus after the reset, it's just "That was fun NOW TIME FOR SANS GLOWY MURDER EYE WEEEEE"
And that's one of my favorites. One of the most popular fics in the fandom is literally Papyrus being tortured by Flowey to make him "less innocent" so he can get into the royal guard.
I did a count of all the major endings in UT and out of roughly 18 major endings 9 of them involve Papyrus being dead or very sad (two sad, 7 dead)
Papyrus deserves to return.
no need to blame me. i do not hate papyrus so much that i put him against a character in the first round i knew he would lose to. dont know what you're getting at here but see what i did was put some unpopular fandom characters against popular fandom characters and some popular fandom characters against other popular fandom characters. so undertale, popular, against the owl house, also popular. im not an undertale fan so i knew nothing about papyrus, i also new nothing about hunter. i knew "popular fandoms" and put em against each other. sorry bud. root for papyrus in the redemptions.

As someone trying to build their own rottmnt au may I have some advice from one of the best?? Mines a separation au where only one turtle get left behind but they're adopted by Hueso and Piel instead of the usual crew

Ya'll i'm not really one of the best djfnfjjf i'm still technically a baby writer since i only started posting my works (in ao3) in 2021
I dont really have good advice but here's what worked for me ig
Either play music or white noise while you write
It helps me focus and get into the zone. My brain needs constant stimulation. Having background noise/music just makes my brain go "WEEEEE"
If you have a scenario WRITE IT DOWN
I have a special tag in my notes app for my fics when i suddenly get ideas. A great example of scenarios and ideas i managed to use is Leo's conversation with Aoi in the abandoned train station they landed in on the chapter that has a very long ass name.
Even if you can't use it now, you can use it again some other time.
If you can; make a list of important plot points or a timeline
I dont usually write down the plot points for my fic because it can change depending on my mood but i have a mind map of how stuff flows in my head.
Since i'm not forgetful, that works for me, but if you tend to easily forget, make sure to write plot down.
It doesn't have to be long, you just need to put what would happen in each chapter or each arc and then form your story around that.
If your fic is like mine, make sure to make a timeline so you know where you are in the fic. Since your au is a separated one, perhaps make a timeline of when they got separated and when they found each other again.
It really keeps things very organised.
Write at your own pace!!
If you're stuck on a chapter, it's alright, you can write ar your own pace. You don't owe anyone a chapter.
Writing takes time, so rushing wouldn't make it any better.
What I do (or what i do for my original works) is I would stop when a chapter feels icky and wait for a few days until i have wnough motivation (or i'm bored) to read the chapter again. If it feels good enough to continue, i'll continue, and if it it's still icky, erase it and try again. The reason why i leave the chapters to "marinate" is to see all the mistakes and errors with fresh new eyes.
Writing is trial and error, so don't tire yourself out stressing over it.

Is there a post where it shows what you are reading/watch currently (either fanfics or canon), going to read/watch etc;?
When I get a fic rec, I typically tag it as "Fic Rec" or "Fic Recs" so there's a pretty good chance you'll find the fic there, i use the "Fic Reading" tag pretty indiscriminately for when I'm reading fanfiction, and the "Comic Reading" tag is relatively new from when I started reading MTMTE and LL!
Currently, the fic recs are a weeeee bit backed up, as i think the last big one I read was "The Echo Garden"?
#i mayyyy be a bit confused#i should make a tag for when I'm directly watching a show and blogging along the way#of course when I'm reading a fic and someone asks me what the name is I'll give it to them#i don't liveblog while watching shows very often (unless it's an earthspark drop— i plan those at least two weeks beforehand)
