They had a bit of a chance encounter on a day where Blueblood was dealing with something that was very difficult and was so caught up in his emotions he didn’t even care that he was in the garden getting grass stans on his coat and Ditzy, with her natural impulse to cheer ponies up, didn’t even notice or care that she was flying into the palace gardens when she saw someone sat in the rain.

At first he was definitely going to call the castle guards to come apprehend this strange filly with the odd eyes who was intruding when this was the last moment he’d want to entertain any desperate debutantes, however she surprised him by not fawning or anything, not even caring about his status, just putting one of her fluffy wings up and asking if he needed somepony to lend an ear.

“Don’t let my eyes fool you, my ears work just fine!”

She was incredibly disarming and while he didn’t reveal everything about why he was upset, he found himself talking about his feelings to her. And she made such cheerful remarks, and was very comforting. In the end, he felt better and she came to check on him the next day, even sharing a blueberry muffin with him. He remarked that he’d never seen her around before, and that he wouldn’t mind terribly seeing her more often.

The rest, as they say, is history.

i am ill, i am diseased; zoro shouldering the role of being the voice of reason, pulling rank as the first mate and reminding the rest of the crew that luffy, as easy going as he may be, is still their captain, is one to be respected, because a crew without respect and a leader who doesn't demand it is destined to fail. and you know it's serious when sanji agrees with zoro. they can't just welcome usopp back with open arms because he challenged the captain, lost, and left and “we’re not little kids playing pirates.”

properly got the chance to read through the statements made by pomme dapper and ramons admins (plus admin 18s and some of the twitter update admins) and jeez i feel so bad for them but especially pommes admin. something incredibly sinister about focusing so much mistreatment on the admin who comes from the country where the union efforts are coming from while making merch of the character they played. capitalism is the enemy of creativity. whoever the people are that are removing admins without notice, theyre the ones that deserve to be removed from the project. not the egg/worker/animal admins that the whole fucking story is built on the backs of

I need a fic pronto of them meeting at a biochem conference, a villain attacking, leading to Barry catching Peter changing into his Spider-Man suit in the bathroom in a classic silver age crossover “the heroes immediately figure out eachother’s identity” type fashion. there's so much to expand on wrt helena's day job being a public school teacher and the role adding this tenderness to a character whose seeming roughness gets read as uncontrollably violent (a convo for another day). the huntress to helena is fueled with so much inner strife, part of it is putting a tangible mask on something she was doing throughout her teenage and young adulthood, going from protecting herself to protecting the vulnerable. her choosing to be a teacher further roots her in the community that she aims to protect and allows her to become the helping hand she needed as a kid. her being a teacher makes her character so much more compelling, marking her compassion and desire to be there for children esp., as a trait that exists beyond the mask. (imo this also allows a deg. of character development with what the mask is to helena; moving between a means of revenge, idealization of her strengths, to a tool to be there for when blood cries) although bat editorial has never fully understood her (some of that misunderstanding is played up solely to rehash conflict between her and the other bats), there is something about the lack of “screentime” helena’s day job gets and desire to have these figures protecting gotham but no desire to tell the stories of the people/communities that make up gotham.

oh, Barnaby already has his arm stitched back on when she wakes up! and really, even if he didn't, that'd be the Least of her worries. she wakes up into a Real nightmare - partially of her (unintentional) making

oh my god I know like it sounds weird to say this when it's just avatar but the original show has aang go back to the southern air temple to show katara and sokka his home only to find evidence of the genocide of his people and the loss of his loved ones and it's quiet until you see his grief and his rage but you just see the aftermath a hundred years later and the netflix adaptation makes it feel like they wanted it to be a cool action movie with an epic scene showing the fighting and running of the airbenders like that side by side with aang running away and it's like ??? okay it's "darker" congratulations I can see that's what the goal is based on the differences in firebending and early on screen deaths go and focus on every bit of violence for the audience's lazy sadistic pleasure instead of any of the characters personal narratives especially the women that can all be taken right out + the discovery of different places all over the world in the earth kingdom and outside of it. put everything in omashu so they don't get to meet people and see the diversity of the world and each town and SEE what life is like for them under war and have these experiences with all these people build up to something bigger at the end

gosh, I just love Enlightened One/Sothis Regalia/Archbishop Byleth soso much

love Byleth embracing their role in the church. love letting them own their goddess powers/affiliation. love them following in Sothis's footsteps, taking on her role for themself after losing her. LOVE them becoming that guiding light to Fodlan, just like they were a guiding light to their students at the academy

that, to me, IS Byleth's arc. they weren't happy during their time as a mercenary, just existing and killing to survive, but never connecting with others. then the academy gave them an opportunity they never would have sought out, but that allowed them to forge those connections they didn't even know they were missing. and it turns out to be unexpectedly fulfilling for them. to see their story culminate in them embracing a role of spiritual guidance to all of Fodlan is such a fitting resolution to that growth, imo

Satomi is a character from Primrose Path (Oren and Luz's story) who I've had visuals for stuck in my head since forever, so was really fun to finally draw her.

Really appreciate them clarifying why exactly it can't be early and saying it's 100% not lore (so any Europeans don't have to worry about missing a big important lore thing)

Just hope by "everyone can attend" they mean earlier than like- 11pm in the UK as the poor European watchers with a bigger timezone difference + the french CCs (especially taking into account sometimes they take an hour to start due to technical issues)
