Is it weird that I dont really feel comfortable with being addressed with any pronounce over than she/her? Even when my preferred ones at the time are not she/her? Cuz like, even when I feel more masc or male thinking about people using them for me is slightly weird (even when I am definitely uncomfortable with she/her)
Also I have only been addressed with he/them once and it was weird and new and I dont really know how to react to it. Could it be because im closeted and still feel a distance between myself and my more neutral and masc leaning identities?

That’s not weird at all, and you’re not alone in that, I used to feel like that too when I first realised I was trans!
New pronouns can feel like that sometimes, weird, new. It happens for many reasons, one being closeted, two, internalised transphobia, just not being used to it.
This doesn’t mean you’re not trans, or you don’t like those pronouns.
I find that new pronouns are like a new pair of shoes. You *know* you don’t like your old, tight, patched up shoes, but when you get the new ones they feel weird and uncomfy, so you use the old ones. But eventually, the more you start to use the new ones, the more you break them in and they adjust to the shape of your feet and start to feel comfy, and you wonder why you ever used the old ones.
So don’t worry about it, it’s totally normal!! And if it still feels uncomfy after sometime, then you can switch your pronouns to smth else!

i've never listened to Friends At The Table (though it's on my list now, dnd campaigns podcast wooo!) what would the storyline of the crossover entail? with the HermitCraft characters i'm guessing it's chaotic and interesting 😊
:0!!!! :DDD!!!!!!! if u end up giving it a shot i hope u enjoy it! they dont actually play dnd, they play a bunch of other tabletop games which are all really neat also! (also if u need a suggestion for where to start if/when u get to it, feel free to drop me an ask)
the story follows the typical structure of "group is sent off to do tasks for money, and eventually realise something bigger is going on" so i am largely following the plot in that way, where groups of adventurers are sent out to investigate a series of towers that appear to have some connection to the gods of the world. ajhsjjejhfhjef most of my thoughts about the au are more character based,, so instead of a proper plot summary i can give details and thoughts on where some of the hermits fit into everything so far (while. trying to avoid the big twists revealed in the podcast ig,,?) i also ended up including some sleepybees (sbi + beeduo) in the au but im still not 100% sure on where they fit in (as in i have too many ideas djhdkndnj)
ANYWAY uhhhh some spoilers for the universe im basing this off of, under the cut cos it got long :'D
context/setting:
the specific arc/universe that this au is set in is the one from Seasons in Hieron (SiH) which is their fantasy season! (its. its long,, this arc spans i think. 3 seasons? plus a short interlude season)
the setting was previously a traditional fantasy world that had some sort of great catastrophe (the Erasure) happen, and the current world is after people have rebuilt a new society! its described as "post-fantasy, post-post-apocalyptic" its very fun and subversive and afhdjfbj the worldbuilding is just. real good :>

characters:
im still figuring out where different hermits fit into the au but i am basically taking aspects of various characters from the podcast and splitting roles and traits to hermits, so its all mixed up! also,, there are just. so many hermits,, i have not found places for all of them (not even most of them i dont think) but here is what i have so far:
impulse and zedaph work in the New Archives (a series of huge warehouse-like archives run by the orcs of this world!) impulse is an orc, zed is not! impulse works to retrieve artifacts for the archive, and zed,, hes just kinda there. learning and experimenting with pattern magic (a type of magic done by arranging and rearranging things in specific configurations, often they are obscure and weird things like "27 brown birds in a tree, 5 table legs, 500 buttons, 16 steps to the east" etc.) when the story finds them they are studying a fallen tower in the center of the Mark of the Erasure (a location still showing the effect of the great cataclysm that befell the world)
tango vaguely takes the role of Ephraim, prince of something or rather,,, idk man hes cool and has fire powers, very anime. his powers were a gift from the gods, and he goes on to hv close relations w them! he meets up with impulse and zed later on and become fast friends obviously
joe is an expert in pattern magic, and is on the run from the archives after having stolen a pretty nondescript notebook. its a nice notebook! hes just a human guy. he writes and recites poetry in order to do pattern magic using the notebook!
cleo hails from the city of *Nacre*, where people get multiple chances at life. people from there can get killed but will exist on as zombies, then if they are killed again, they exist as ghosts, and then they pass away fully. she is an undead pirate captain that joe somehow manages to sway over to their side ahjbhfbjf,, she is hunting down the lost prince/king of Nacre.
wels is a pala-din (pal-ah-deen, rather than paladin), a sort of living marble statue that serves one of the gods in the pantheon.
scar is ofc, a wizard! it. it should be noted that wizards dont really exist in this world, people who perform and study magic are mages, not wizards,, "wizard" is kind of a weird term to use sjbdbjhfjjhb scar takes place of The Great Fantasmo in the podcast, and similarly has an invisible assistant! he doesnt seem to remember much of his past...
cubfan works in Velas, a fishing town where the story "begins" he does not enjoy talking to scar, and seems to be sad whenever hes around. perhaps scar reminds him of someone, or perhaps of better times...
tfc hes a priest aagsuijdjhkdgjdkihwhjvd i swear theres a reason for this later,, the role of the npc alyosha is somewhat split between tfc and cub!

others i have thoughts on but im not settled on yet:
im debating having xisuma as part of the pantheon, but if not, he would be a druid so he can shapeshift into animals sjbakjnsnfjb he would take the general role of Fero in the story, but would also be kind of split with evil x, who captures... a certain stubbornness and deepset frustration Fero has in later times.
etho could take the place of Samol, the first god to exist. he is the embodiment of this world, and is kind of isolated and strange wbhshjhbdbhjdjbdkjn,, strange /pos. hes also. kind of dissapearing though... i wonder why :)
while theoratically i could have xisuma as samol cos. yknow. admin. i think the vibes and role just fit etho better
and... if i had etho as samol i think it could be fun to have doc and bdubs as other members of the pantheon, if u go with their dynamic from the start of s7 they even fit the divorced couple vibe two of the gods have /lh /hj (nho pantheon pog..? maybe. theres a total of 5 deities in the pantheon tho...)
im leaning toward either false + stress or maybe gem + pearl pairs for two of the goddesses in the pantheon, but thatd probably depend on if i can find a better place for them ;P
techno and phil take the role of red jack, and techno is a Huge Oni Dude >:] in canon red jack has a cool horse!!! it fits!! hes also. heavily implied to be kinda immortal?? anyway. im torn on this because techno and phil ALSO fit the roles of some of the player characters, with relation to the missing prince/king of Nacre but im still working things out,,
no matter whats up with them, ranboo takes the role of bluejay, redjacks son, meeting up with tubbo and tommy who take the place of benjamin, the son of one of the player characters. tubbo and tommy kind of. get sent to another dimension to keep them safe,,? and live in a lie for many years before they are brought back.
when i first thought about this au, i also thought about the whole. sending child off into fake dimension to live life, and of course. i thought about. grumbot ofc and originally planned to have mumbo or grian take the place of that player character abhdfvnbrvbn but it also implies one or both of them would be paladins (not pala-din! just the normal religious knight) AND have connections to tubbo and tommy which is. funny but ehhhh idk.

Chapter thoughts! (kind of)
I love that, as our heroes are in their final climactic battle to save humanity from the titans, not only are they doing so on top of the founding titan, but are literally fighting their way through 2000 years worth of titan history. Makes for a more exciting setpiece than just where’s waldo but eren, but it really does encapsulate the idea of this being the grand finale (and I cant wait to see titans gone from this world once and for all at the end of this).
And Isayama gets to flex like all kinds of probably rejected designs here...the old warhammer thing? new warhammer with the trident? that weird yeti looking mf? so many awesome looking dudes and dudettes, I cant wait for the official version with hi res scans to drop.
Speaking of those titans, we get to meet a lot of familiar faces in Isayama’s final art style, which isnt just cool and nostalgic to see, but it also feels like we may finally deep dive into the whole titan shifter memory shenanigans. Bertolt appearing in Armin’s mind the way he did back in 85, just as he shows up physically have to be connected. If Ymir can maintain access to the physical data of what old titans can do, then it makes sense for their memories, or even consciousnesses to still be stored there somewhere. Honestly I never thought we’d see an Armin/Bert thing, but Im glad its finally happening. And hey, if we’re looking at past memory things, hopefully this will segway into finally clearing up whateverthefuck is really going on with Eren’s whole future memory thingmajing because it really is about time.
More in that direction--Ymir is involved! Which, fucking finally. God it honestly feels so relieving to finally see her have a genuine active role...ever since her introduction in 120 and then whatever has been happening the last few chapters I really couldnt tell if she was just a passive bystander/victim/controlled by smth else or the one responsible for all--and while this chapter may not be 100% conclusive yet, she clearly is more involved with everything than she seemed before...she did free the pigs afterall. Im very curious to see how her story will wrap up...she’s the OG victim of the titans, now appears to one of/if not the main perpetrator behind their horrors. Idk, we’ll see, but its absolutely interesting and I cant wait to see more.
All the characters get nice moments...Pieck saying fuck your friendships Im gonna put a stop to this monster was honestly great, Jean and Reiner hanging in there hit me right where it hurts (”thats why we joined the survey corps” DDD: ), Levi actually getting to do things again, Mikasa going full protective mom and massmurderer mode without breaking a sweat, lets go. I was worried the flying titan would feel too contrived/retconned, but the sheer amount of ridiculous plot magic happening rn honestly makes this feel the most normal, hahaha.
Really, what this chapter makes me feel, most of all, more than anything, is a sense of excitement, of possibility. Ever since Eren declared death on the world, and even more so since it actually started happening, everything has felt so reductive. Like, here is the thing, this is happening, that’s all there is to it, now just sit it out and watch it unfold at an excruciatingly slow monthly pace. It’s really brought down my enjoyment of the last chapters because it just felt like nothing was really getting done, and it was either gonna go one way or another.
But one chapter later and Ymir Fritz is actively doing all kinds of creepy shit and not just standing creepily in the background, the whole gang finally get to do the thing they set out to do at th start of the year and who knows what’ll happen to them, Eren’s continued absence, lack of pov, undisclosed location and illogical actions give my heartbroken antirumblingerenstan heart the faintest glimmers of hope Ive craved all year...and Im just fuckin excited. I’m glad Isayama pulled a bunch of insanity out this month because I really feel like it was needed. And now I’m beyond ready to experience the conclusion of my all time favorite story

Hiya! Thanks for doing the analysis on the Sora finding Kairi in the darkness scene, very interesting to see the different lines! (and my sokai heart sang). haha but also it reminded me about that moment he was like 'i can't do anything without them' and I bet Riku was like 'true but also okay thanks dude, not like im still here or anything' lol (feels like the kind of thing that would be commented on if kh3 had a Shiro Amano manga)

And that’s when Sora realizes he really is alone…
“Sorry, Riku, you were my strength, too! Come back, please!”
My horrible jokes aside to help me deal with the trauma, I still can’t watch this scene without getting emotional, and even just looking back at my screenshots of it… a;asghlkdagjsalsfdk. But I want to do a translation post about this scene too, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT BOOKENDS THE SCENE WITH SORA AND RIKU IN HOLLOW BASTION WHERE RIKU LEAVES HIM ALONE AND DESPAIRING BUT IN KH3 RUSHES TO COMFORT AND PROTECT HIM EVEN IF HE’S AN AWKWARD TURTLE ABOUT IT, so I will have to force my heart through Sora’s despair again (Miyu and Haley both kill it, by the way, and both of them will break your heart with Sora’s heartbreak).
Seriously, though, I’m sure Riku knows Sora doesn’t really mean it… he knows Sora isn’t speaking logically in that moment, he’s speaking from his grief and anguish and despair. Sora seems to have a closer than normal connection to people, too, so I wonder if he could actually feel his friends dying? Feel their heartbreak and pain as they were separated from their loved ones, from him?
We have evidence of this being the case from earlier in the game, when Sora reacts to Anna’s heart getting hurt:
This continues the pattern we saw in DDD when he was able to feel Roxas’s pain… though that was because Roxas willingly shared it with him.
Here, it isn’t a voluntary thing. It just happens. He seems to have become so empathetic that he can feel when his friends’ hearts are hurting and share their pain while they are still feeling it. And not to throw Anna under the bus or anything, but Sora just met her, and while he did form a connection with her and would consider her his friend, he hasn’t known her nearly as long as his other friends.
How much more deeply would he hurt, then, over the pain of someone he’s really close to?
Well, the scene at the Keyblade Graveyard potentially gives us our answer.
Look at the way he reacts to losing all of his friends (except Riku), culminating in Kairi being torn away from him as he reaches out to her:
That anguished scream he lets out makes a chilling amount of sense, because it’s possible he wasn’t just feeling his own pain in that moment, but Kairi’s pain, too, on top of everyone else’s.
So yeah, I’d say his anguish and despair is justified in this scene. Riku, the one who usually tells him to pull it together, is at a loss for words, even:
“How am I supposed to comfort my despairing friend who’s normally the one cheering me up? Uh…”
“Nope, still got nothing.”
But then he does a very Riku thing in that he tells Sora exactly what he needs to hear and goes out in a blaze of glory.
Yep, this scene’s definitely getting a closer look later on. It deserves it.
And a Shiro Amano take on KH3 would be lovely! Who knows, maybe he’ll decide to return to the series someday.

Look I know the cis peeps out there are trying to be nice and they DONT MEAN IT sometimes--I met this wonderful lady at an introduction session (sort of an interview?) for a club and she was very, very nice. And completely uneducated with how trans, NB, etc works. Which in my general area is basically the norm. Some people are very, very good about it. Basically "What pronouns? Okay, got it!" and well, those are mainly the my-generation peeps. Some of the older but very understanding too bc they've been educated/know about the topic.
Then there's this kind, sweet woman who had never even heard of the term NB, and who I was very patient with. I'm always patient with these things, I will never demonize someone for lacking knowledge or being ignorant to certain things.
She asked why I feel that way--which kind of ended me awkwardly flapping my hands and trying to describe dysphoria and the way the pronouns she and he make me feel squirmy and awful in a way that this poor woman would comprehend.
And then she said one thing that really upset me and I know she wasn't aware of it--I don't think I'll ever be confident enough to get mean in any way about deadnaming or mis-pronouning, or general things that make me uncomfortable. I have issues with trying to please people and being terrified of pushing everyone away--anyways! This woman, who obviously didn't know this was damn near the same as saying it to someone who was ftm, said, "Well I think you're very feminine." Which, well. Okay. As in I have had no hormone treatments, huge tits, and haven't worn a binder because it makes it hard for me to breathe and makes me uncomfortable and claustrophobic (never mind that it solves my dysphoria). Also, my hairs grown out because I keep forgetting to get an appointment.
So yeah, maybe my physical features are kind of feminine, but I sit like a guy, am into guy things, ALL of my clothes are from the guys department, and I think the only feminine item on my person that day was my glasses, which are oval and wire-framed and honestly, they look pretty unisex to me.
And I just...like. that felt pretty damn bad. Like I'm trying, right? I've passed before, to many people including one of my little brothers friends, and this had been BEFORE I WAS OUT, wearing leggings and a white loki-tee from hot topic, hair all long. He STILL called me a dude, because my face is pretty square and my voice is kinda low and that makes me happy.
And I know she was trying to be comforting, or something, but it just made me want to go buy a binder, breathing problems aside. Without the tits (and i have terribly large tits in comparison to my compact frame, please, girls who want them, HAVE THEM, they're DDD/F and probably worth two normal sets) I look extremely androgynous. I really, really want top surgery, but that won't happen until im out of college, done with being an adjunct, and have tenure. Which means like, AT LEAST 12-15 years.
ITS NOT OUR FAULT. It's not, it's financial, sometimes, because hormones and shit cost tons, and no one fucking CHOOSES where their fat distribution goes. I didn't want an hour glass figure, no matter how "in" it is, and goddamn, if you think its so feminine you can HAVE it. I didnt want humungunungagadoos! And NB people born male, THEY don't choose how their metabolism works, or how broad their shoulders are, or how square their jaw is. And you don't NEED to want any of these things to be NB. You don't need to want a flat chest, or narrow hips,(or vice versa) or more androgynous features!
And gods fucking damnit, if anyone EVER excludes NB people born male, EVER in my precense, good luck, you disgusting, transphobic trash, because I'm throwing hands.
TL;DR: Please, those of you who don't know much about NB, or if you know people, tell them: Don't ever call someone whose NB that. Don't say "well you look feminine to me!" Or "But you're very masculine! Why would you want to change?" Imagine saying it to someone ftm or mtf, and if it sounds mean or transphobic in that context, it's mean and transphobic to NB people too.
