A fic where both characters are feral gremlins and absolutely perfect for each other. Izuku never went to UA, and as an adult he has been arrested many many times (for all the right reasons). And one of these times, Shouta is at the precinct talking to Tsukauchi and he gets *curious*, to Tsukauchi's horror.

Super funny story. Izuku is a Menace and feral and confident and amazing. And Shouta is loving everything about him.

And then they actually talk (sober).

(Alternatively: Midoriya Izuku learns confidence and uses it against everyone)

Midnight decides to teach Izuku how to be more confident. And he uses everything he learned (including flirting) to go all out against his classmates in an exercise.

The story is told mostly through the other students’ povs, while Izuku is "fighting" them, and it's wonderful to see their reactions to a more confident Izuku. This story is really fun and funny.

The Woes of Growing Pains by CheckersXIV

No one has ever had a successful time acclimating to transmigration.

At least, that's what Shen Yuan tells himself after he accidentally breaks The System. It doesn't help that he wakes up as a teenage disciple inside of the bane of his existence- Proud Immortal Demon Way. He's trying to take precautions to avoid all the death flags that this stupid villain's body of his is going to get him into, but some other disciple really seems to have it out for him...

Shen Yuan transmigrates before the “original goods” is even a disciple, and the System breaks, leaving him stranded in a weird world. But he is soon found by the Peak Lord and taken to the sect. When he finds out where he is, and where he transmigrated into, he decides to not make waves, and just quietly cultivate, and as soon as he learns enough, get away from the sect. Things obviously don’t go as planned, and Shen Yuan ends up making friends with all the future Peak Lords (without even knowing who they’ll become). Liu Qingge appears in the story in his non-nonsense way, wanting to challenge Shen Yuan for a duel. Things progress accordingly.

Shen Yuan is a delightful narrator, his voice is amazing. The way the friendships develop, and then later the Liushen romance goes is so good! And Shen Yuan is just really really good at what he does, and we love a competent character in this house! Adorable story.

Two lonely heroes collide at the strike of four AM. One just left the police station after dropping off a petty criminal. The other’s bleeding to death in an alleyway. In most cases, Shouta would drop the other off at a hospital and wash his hands of the situation. In this case? Shouta forgot to wear his stupid goggles.

WOW WOW WOW! This is such a treat to read. Shouta finds Dekiru, number 7 hero, really hurt in an alley after a long night of patrol, finds out he is an omega (which is a huge secret), and kinda imprints on him (it's mutual, and neither of their choice). So he takes Izuku to UA, and learns he will be stuck in an apartment with Izuku until Izuku is feeling good again and can go back to using his quirk, and maybe Shouta help him with his mental health struggles. Easy peasy.

The week is so amazing. The pov of both characters are so good and show a lot of who they are. Their relationship develops beautifully, they talk (sometimes), but they simply respect each other and actually really like each other a lot. Shouta is struggling with his feelings, and his imprinting. Izuku is struggling with everything, but not about having Shouta (Eraserhead!!!!) in his apartment.

The writing is so beautiful. Just reading the first paragraphs I was hooked! <3

And then it turns out that witchers really don't act much like human alphas at all.

This story is so wonderful and tender and loving. Jaskier is a "ruined omega" and sold in Omega auctions to whoever bids the highest and they can do whatever they want to him. Jaskier doesn't have much hope when it comes to alphas, in his experience they are all very violent. But then Geralt buys Jaskier from the auction and takes him to Lambert and Eskel. (Which just makes Jaskier even more worried, because now there's three alpha witchers). But the witchers are different from all alphas he has ever met. And they treat him well, respect him, protect him. And as much as Jaskier is afraid of trusting them, he feels safer than he's ever felt.

This story is so wonderful I don't even know what to say. Jaskier has Trauma, and his witchers are so good and loving and patient with him. Their relationship develops so well and honestly. It really is a feel good story. The hurt all happened prior to the story, and the whole fic is the comfort. (The smut is also super hot). - Also, all 4 of them are together, not just with Jaskier.

And Izuku was already awkward enough as it was without adding to it. Izuku read the inside of the note. He blinked. He blinked again. “Midoriya-kun?” Iida asked. “Is everything alright? Your face looks—” Numbly, Izuku showed him the note. There was a moment of silence, and then there were two moments of silence, and then Iida said, “It is unsigned.” Izuku flipped the note back around, looking at it again as if he expected the words to have changed in the time Iida had been reading it. Honestly, Izuku would have been less shocked if they had, because, well… I like you.

Ok, hear me out, Monoma and Izuku would be unstoppable, okay? So this is the most awkward Izuku story in the most delicious way. Izuku receives an anonymous note telling him "I like you". It was left on his locker and it's not signed, and Izuku simply cannot believe it was for him, he thinks he is undatable (which his friends are so cool about disproving him of the idea). Meanwhile Monoma, with whom he had become friends, simply reverted to his old ways, and worse, and Izuku is not sure what's going on. (it's not like he has a crush on Monoma and doesn't know how to deal). Amazing everything! Super fun and funny!

So he has a life, and he likes his life, even if he is a little lonely. And then, one night, Arthur is back into Merlin’s life. Into the present. In the story Arthur needs to learn about life, and Merlin and him need to learn how to be together. Like I said, it’s absolutely soft, no angst. Both Arthur and Merlin are amazing. <3

Cultivate: Slow Life in a Monster-Infested Mountain by NeonGhostCat

When trying to transfer Shen Yuan from the real world to Proud Immortal Demon Way, the System runs into an error. The transfer is not complete. Shen Yuan is dropped off at the foot of a mountain aware of two things: he's in the story, and the Shen Qingqiu of this world is not only aware but thinks he tried to possess his body — and he's PISSED. Shen Yuan tries to opt out and live a simple life on what locals tell him is a monster-infested mountain no one in their right mind would bother with. Sounds like a great hiding spot! (TL;DR: Stardew Scum Villain Valley Mountain.)

I’m gonna start saying I love this story so much! Yes, it is super long! But!!! It’s not repetitive, it’s curious and smart, and there’s so much character development. It’s a whole feast. So what happens when Shen Yuan is transmigrating, but the original Shen Qingqiu is able to stop the “transfer”? He gets a whole new body, finds himself a mountain to hide from SQQ, and decides to make a quiet life for him there, while also trying to avoid the Plot. Not that it is possible with Liu Qingge appearing at the mountain and deciding to help him (while also thinking SY is the secret younger brother of SQQ). We get feelings! Action! Plot! Character development! All the relationships are so good, romantic or platonic! Cool OCs! Shen Yuan being himself and amazing!

The First Step to Recovery is Poor Impulse Control by Foxquills

When an apartment block collapses, Shouta expects a routine rescue operation. He does not expect to meet a blindingly intelligent 8 year-old Izuku on the worst day of his life. He certainly doesn't expect to take the kid home, call his estranged best friend in a panic because he doesn't know what fuck to do, and turn his life upside down in the space of a few hours. It's fine, though. He might be a mess, but he can keep one grade-schooler alive until social services sorts their shit. It's just temporary, he tells himself. Y'know, like a liar. or: The story of how one disaster man saves a little boy, and how the little boy saves him back.

The Feels!!! Ohhh, this one made me cry, and I was happy about it. Shouta saves Izuku from his destroyed building, but Inko dies in the disaster. Shouta takes Izuku home with him until child services can find other relatives to stay with him. But he didn’t expect to get attached to him so quickly, and having the kid help him get out of his funk and get his best friend back into his life. Hizashi is absolutely amazing (like in all the fics this author writes), Shouta is a disaster who cares so much and doesn’t know how to deal, and Izuku is the best child.

Geralt placed the crown on his head before kneeling at his side, and the weight of it felt heavy on Jaskier’s brow. Jaskier’s path to becoming king, takes place five years after the fall of Cintra.

If you are like me and love competent Jaskier stories, this one is a must read. Five years have passed since the fall of Cintra and since Geralt abandoned Jaskier. War is everywhere. Then, Eskel finds Jaskier and tells him Geralt needs help, and Jaskier is powerless to say no. What he was not expecting was that the help Geralt needed was to actually know how to run an estate and be a lord of the people. I absolutely adored this story! Jaskier is so competent and so kind, and the people just can’t avoid loving him. This story also deals a lot with the fantastical racism from The Witcher, and how Jaskier and the Wolf Witchers decide to make a safe haven for all. The romance is super slow burn, and not the focus of the fic. But Geralt and Jaskier are soft.

No, that's a toss up between being reverse-adopted by a party of middle schoolers and the fact Steve Harrington won't stop staring at him.

What if you wake up one day, and find that the world seems a bit off? You see on the news that they were experimenting on kids in the lab of your small town (including the daughter of the police chief), and worse, the popular kids at school seem to be nice to him for no reason?

That’s exactly what Eddie has to go through. The whole story is told by his pov, and he has no idea what is going on (for a while only). And it is amazing! It’s about finding your people and living loving and peaceful lives, from the start. It’s about belonging. The party as a family and being soft together. Just, this story is super lovely, and the characterization is very good! &lt;3

Hizashi just wants to be friends, and gets more than he bargained for. Sometimes getting lost is how you find exactly where you're meant to be.

What to say of this story? It is fantastic, absolutely amazing!!!! Third-year Izuku is sent back in time to when Shouta and Hizashi are students at UA, and as the tags say, this is not a time travel fix-it, the events are “set in stone”. But now Izuku needs to learn how to make a life for himself in the past away from all his friends and his mom, and the only people he knows are Shouta and Hizashi. I am completely in love with this story and I go a little crazy every time it is updated (and you can trust that this one is updated). The relationship between all three of them is so good, and is developed organically. All three characters, and their povs are so well written and feel like them. It seems super fluffy at first, but there is also pain, but the best kind because you know the fluff is gonna come back. I also adore the omegaverse from this story, although is not the main point of the story, how it connects to the characters, with bondings, and nestings, and just connections, it’s *chef’s kiss*. An absolute must-read! (if you’re worried about teacher-student relationship, don’t be, they are all the same age in this story).

This is a story that has absolute canon feels. If I didn’t know Neil Gaiman doesn’t get involved with fics, I would say this was written by him. So it’s a canon divergent fic from the end of season 2, because Crowley decides to follow Aziraphale to heaven. But suddenly there’s no more Crowley, but Raphael is in his place, in all his angel glory, and no memories at all of all those millenia he was Crowley. It is so good!!!! Aziraphale is going through it, because yes! Crowley has the opportunity to be an angel again, but he *doesn’t remember*, and Aziraphale misses Crowley. Raphael/Crowley is absolutely amazing.

My taste in fic varies a lot depending on the fandom I'm reading and the moment. For some fandoms, I like things more closely to canon, other fandoms I really like how authors adapt canon to fit their narrative, and for some other fandoms, I love how authors decide to fix them.

At the beginning, I'll be going through my bookmarks to post here, and the new fics I find as well.

My asks will be open to suggestions, questions, or conversations about fic.

I will not talk about fics I don't like. Just because some fics are not to my taste, doesn't mean they can't be good, and I will not be going against fandom's etiquette on this blog.
