LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS.
I am italian, and I loooove the english language, but sometimes I wish some of my favourite italian songs were more popular. Today I made an english translation (it's not 100% accurate because there were some words I just couldn't translate in english). It's a beautiful song, "Terra degli uomini", sung by Lorenzo Cherubini, also named Jovanotti. He took inspiration from a book, "Terra degli uomini" by Antoine de Saint-Exup茅ry -author of the Little Prince- and it's wonderful. Also I think it's a song that fits in EVERY FANDOM! Probably because the subject is the whole humanity. Here's the english translation:

Why No. 6 is something
Can we appreciate Number Six for a moment? I'm not going to write all the plot but... the first episode really is... something.
Okay. During a storm, a bleeding, complete stranger with the eyes of a psychotic murderer shows up in Shion's room after he left his window open. And when he notices him, the stranger fucking chokes him. At this moment a little and naive twelve years old technically should start praying for his life, but... he doesn't. Shion simply ask him if he can help. When his mum calls him from downstairs he doesn't scream, he doesn't ask for help (even if he has a room filled with high-tech items that could save him in a second). So that's why the stranger, Nezumi, trusts him from the start. And really, who wouldn't? Shion is precious. He's smart and gentle and curious, filled with wonder and hope. He may seem boring compared with the strong, charming and mysterious Nezumi, but in reality they are amazing and at the same level. At least that's what I think.
Later Shion helps him and heals is wound, but he also gives him food, an hot drink, new clothes and my two personal favorites: affection and security. Maybe for only one night, but Nezumi remembered that night with a warm heart for years and you can't tell me otherwise.
Then Nezumi asks Shion why he's helping him like this. He questions that with a grinning face, he wants to seem confident, but I think in this moment Nezumi's completely insecure. "Why is he helping me? Why me? I am a stranger, a monster, a freak, while he's kind and generous and warm."
Well, even Shion can't really tell why he's doing all of this. He starts saying that he helped just because he looked like he was going to die and he thought he was a girl and... he says: "I don't know" He doesn't know why, but he knows that he's supposed to do it, that he needs it.
I dunno guys, but that's the whole point of their relationship. Of the whole anime. Doing something not for the power, the money, the love, the fame, the anger, or for charity. Doing something just because. For example trying rescue a little baby even if many would say it's not gonna help, or kissing someone to say goodbye. They've met... maybe an our ago? They don't know anything about each other, but still, the way they talk, the way they act... it seems like they've known each other for years. It all starts so simply. Shion doesn't asks him his name only because Nezumi didn't asked too, he doesn't ask ANYTHING at all. They talk like it's some every-day-shit for them. Their relationship doesn't feel forced by the events of the plot, it's just casual and chill and normal and... melancholic.
Hear me out, I'm not saying that Number Six is the best anime in the world. I know that compared with others it's irrelevant, you can say it. It has flaws, it's short and sometimes confusing. But it was one of the first anime that I saw, it has a special place in my heart. And maybe I find it melancholic because it's a lovely memory for me, but I also think that this anime, even if it's strange and confusing and short, really has got a melancholic aura. You can see it from the strong bond between the two protagonists and from the first time they met. Because it looks like they've met before. They also look melancholic, they whisper and sometimes they stay silent and that's okay. For soulmates there's no need to be talkative.

If a few days ago (before I had finished the third season) they had asked me what was the most beautiful thing or person I had seen in Attack on titan, I would not have been able to answer. But now I know. Eren is beautiful, like Mikasa on the other hand. Then there are the adorable ones like Sasha and Historia, and Armin. Finally there is Levi who is charming in his own way. But the most beautiful thing?
you know, I wasn't angry about all the deaths of this anime. I was angry because those who continued to live suffered every second more. This is how it works, isn't it? the longer you survive, the more bad things you see. But you also see more beautiful things. And so after years of death, blood, shouts ... the survey corps, albeit with difficulty, manages to regain the Wall Maria and arrives at the sea. Oh! Armin was so beautiful in that scene. But really genuinely beautiful. Not really good-looking, because everyone has their tastes and many would say that he is ugly (horror!)
But it was beautiful, without a doubt. Because it was his dream, from childhood, to see the sea. and we knew it. And when everyone looked out to see the water, Armin shone. At the exact moment when his eyes widened in front of the horizon, in front of his dream, I understood that that was the beauty I was looking for. A real beauty, not so much as a model or TV diva. A beauty that touches your heart, which transmits all the emotions it feels, that beauty that we perceive with the people we have known for many years. And the fact that Armin is not an acquaintance of mine makes it all the more magical. Seeing him put his feet in the water made me think that in the end having suffered so much... made sense.

Mavis x Jonathan, Hotel Transylvania. I like the movie a lot and I love them.
Marlin x Dory, Finding Nemo. They are only friends, right? Well, sorry if I want sweet romance!

Megamind x Roxanne. They just need a Oscar, I adore them. (Mostly him)
And... I dunno. I've had a lot of ships, in every film I saw... but then I watched Anime and my life went insane.
Yuri on ice destroyed my "hetero tendency" and after that damn show I could only see gay and gay and gay everywhere. You know the ships and so do I, then move on.
No. 6... Nezumi x Shion is soooo simple. They are basically a couple but they are in danger and love is the least of their problems.

And now, a moment of silence. Yoonbum and Sangwoo aren't a couple. They aren't made for each other, the story is like this but nothing they do togheter, cute or not, is true love. And this is why I love sooooo much their relationship. Sangwoo is not gay, but sees Yoonbum like a second mother. Yoonbum was never truly in love with him, that was only an osbession for 'keep distance' to the reality. Their couple is beautiful, because is tragic, nonsense. Cause it's something, but it isn't really something at all.

Why "Killing me softly" is Sangwoo and Yoonbum's song
First of all, we have to take a look at the story this song tells. A woman, after hearing about a singer's skill, decides to go and listen to him. She sees him, he's a boy she has never seen. He sings and it seems that with his song he's describing her life.
We all know that this is Sangwoo's song, but also Yoonbum's. Why should it belong to both? Because this song can be viewed from two different angles. Let's start with the Yoonbum version:
Strumming my pain with his fingers:
Sangwoo injures him without doing anything. He makes him feel bad, he keeps Yoonbum with him in a lethal grip.
Singing my life with his words:
Plus he thinks he's Yoonbum's reason for living, he doesn't give him anything else to rely on. Keeping him locked up, he thinks he can make his life a simple 'I'm alive, I'm with Sangwoo, I'm fine'
Killing me softly with his song:
His sick love for Sangwoo slowly destroys him, as if every day he dies and then resurrects
SANGWOO'S PART IS MORE COMPLICATED...
Part of the song says, "He sang as if I he know me in all my dark despair" and another: "I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud. I prayed that he would finish, but he just kept right on".
Well, because Yoonbum has managed to understand and comfort him. Sangwoo, who saw him as the memory of his mother, found security and love in him. That love he never had. And yet ... the fact that Yoonbum was so sweet and understanding put him on the corner. He was frightened by that boy who seemed to understand everything about him. It was torture for Sangwoo too. Quite different from what Yoonbum suffered, but still torture. You wouldn't say so, but it was always Yoonbum who had Sangwoo in hand.

Do you know what I can't stand? I have never hated Sangwoo. Never. Although he was a murderer, a maniac, a psychopath. he always only made me feel sorry. Yoonbum has never been the weak one, he has remained 'healthy' enough ...well.... But it was Sangwoo who couldn't stand alone, who needed help. "Bad guys" aren't born. His past and trauma have ruined him.
The thing I hate most is that this boy has really experienced excruciating pain, burned alive, and has seen his worst nightmare come true. To die in the most painful way ...
but it's not over here. Sangwoo didn't die in that house, he couldn't even leave tragically or stay in the place where he lived. No. He died in a damn hospital bed, calling out Yoonbum's name desperately, after being suffocated by a stranger's pillow. Just like his mother tried to do when he was little.
this strong killer, this cool and apparently confident boy died like that, in the most pathetic and silly way. And that's what makes me angry. If such a thing is not tragic, then I don't know what it is.
