besides, one good punch to the jaw could probably knock the dude out. he canonically doesn't sleep enough and eats a very strict (read: limited) diet, judging that his body might not really be in peak, energized condition contrary to what he tries to show others. i could see him going down fairly easily if yuu is scrappy enough

why isn't grim the MC? he's just as relevant and actually has magic? if you want a human character just make grim human.

like, it seems like they REALLY wanted twst to be a dating sim, which could make the plot insignificance no longer an issue because the goal would then be relationship building with a bigger plot going on in the background.

Actually, that's something that bothers me a lot in Twisted Wonderland and I've probably said it before, but Yuu is so damn uninvolved with the plot of the game (events and main story) that sometimes I wonder why even bother having a player character. But the Masquerade annoys me in particular because it's literally a plot about "magic vs magicless" deeply rooted in the world building of their magic system, and somehow the only ever magicless person in the entirety of Twisted Wonderland is not relevant to the story.

Also, Yuu was introduced in the Prologue as the strategist/brains of the group, as a "magical beast tamer" who was implied to be capable of directing the others, so them not having magic wasn't as big of a trouble as it could be... and then they threw that idea away. And now Yuu is just there.

I'm not asking for Baldur's Gate levels of player character, but I'd love for my character to be more than a spectator in a story that was apparently supposed to be theirs.
