I'm writing this before my shift starts so it's not edited but...
Wayne had a reputation for being a tough guy in his youth. He wouldn't think twice about punching any idiot who tried to take advantage of him and his sister.
In fact, he was the one who answered her late-night calls when she needed help with little Eddie.
No one ever knew, but Wayne instantly melts when he glimpses his godson's large, round eyes. Taking care of him as if he were her own child and raising him in the best possible way, away from the violent episodes of her now deceased sister's husband.
Eddie doesn't know how much he reminds Wayne of his sister. Both are so similar that Wayne often sees her ghost with her back to him, when Wayne walks into the kitchen after a rough shift at work.
Eddie brings Wayne a lot of joy and that's why he spends days without sleep, putting up posters in search of his nephew.
He never gave up on Eddie and he will never give up if he finds him either. Because where Eddie is, his sister is too.
