Hey, so I know this took a little longer, but I hit a wall, lol. Hope you enjoy this chapter, let me know your thoughts!
Words: 2,753
This is incredibly based on the song The Willow Maid by Erutan, I highly recommend giving it a listen for the best experience.
Warnings: Cursing, reader is She/Her and will be AFAB in later chapters, angst, reader faces verbal/emotional abuse from her mother, Mitsuki is kind of ooc

"So...Uh, what is this about," you asked, trying to keep your tone nonchalant, your back turned to your mother, the queen of the Faerie people. She had requested to play with your hair, like she used to do when you were a little girl, a serene smile on her face as she began to give you an English braid.
"Well, I have some news for you," she said sweetly. You let out a silent sigh of relief, you were worried she found out about your adventures outside, with a Dragonborne no less. She began to hum mindlessly to herself, that same song you had heard so many times over.
"What...is it," you gently prompted, to which she perked up a little. "Ah, right...well, as you know, I've gone and visited each and every duke you met all those weeks ago, quite a large task mind you, and you won't believe what happened!"
Judging from her tone, you knew what she was going to say. It made your insides feel hollow, the anxiety and anticipation for her next words. "Do tell," you said cheerily. She wouldn't like it if you sounded nervous.
"The duke of Silverstone has offered an enormous dowry for your hand! You'll be married in less than a month, dear!"
Your heart sank. No, no this can't happen...You knew you'd be getting married soon, you were turning twenty in a couple weeks, but you didn't think it'd be so soon! It was tradition, once the heir turned twenty and married they'd take the throne, and taking the throne...you wouldn't be able to leave again. To see Katsuki.
Your hands were shaking, your lips quivering. You were glad she couldn't see your face right now. You can't let this happen, you have to do something you haven't done in a very, very, very long time. Maybe she's changed after all these years.
"Um, M-mom?"
"Yes, (y/n)?" She gently undid the braid she just made, running her long nails through your hair.
"W...what if I, uh, I didn't want to marry him..."
She stopped, freezing in place. You didn't want to turn around and see her face. Your hands gripped the fabric of your dress, scrunching the lace in your fingers.
"I...I feel so foolish..." she began, her voice calm and quiet.
Please don't do it, please be reasonable.
She shakily stands up, looking at you as if you were a ghost.
"After all the things I've done for you, after everything you've put me through, I thought maybe you would be able to do something for me," she whispers, her eyes glossy with tears.
"M-mom, That's not what I-"
"And to think, your father died for a daughter like you! If he could see you now he'd certainly regret it," she shouts, standing over you with a look of pure disgust.
"Mother, please-"
"No! I understand! I must be a terrible mother! How could a good one raise someone so utterly selfish and-"
"I was just kidding, Ok? It was just a joke, 'm sorry, please don't be mad," you shouted, squeezing your eyes shut and shrinking back.
silence.
slowly, you opened your eyes back up, peaking at your mother's shocked face.
"Well..." she sighed, delicately sitting back down next to you. "That wasn't a very funny joke, now was it," she giggled, conjuring up a couple blooms of baby's breath and braiding it into the front of your hair.
"The dressmaker will see you tomorrow morning, to help you pick out the style you'd like," she said kindly, a soft and gentle smile on her face.
"Yes, Mother."
When Katsuki walked into the palace he knew so well, practically stumbling with emotional exhaustion, the last thing he expected was to hear his mom was looking for him. "Hah? What does that old hag want with me," he asked Kirishima, who was already dragging him to the throne room. "Dunno, she just said she wanted to see you," he shrugged.
When they arrived, Queen Mitsuki of the Dragonborne was sitting upon her great throne, looking down at her son with a regal expression. She wore a wine red dress, the color complimenting those ruby eyes passed down generation after generation. Her horns, like that of an antelope, started with an ivory white at the base of her head and became a deep shade of crimson at the tips. Finally, her long, thick, spiked red tail was lazily lying beside her seat.
"Katsuki," she started, her voice firm. To anyone else, she might sound mad, But Katsuki knew better than anyone that wasn't the case. He stepped closer, Joining his mother and standing right in front of her.
"Be honest with me."
"Spit it out already!"
"Don't talk to your mother that way," she scoffed, smacking him upside the head. Katsuki yelped and glowered, but didn't try to interrupt her again.
"Now, Tell me..." she looked him deep in the eyes, her nostrils flaring slightly. She was smelling the air around him closely.
"Have you found a mate?"
Katsuki immediately turned about as red as his mother's dress, giving him away. "Aha! I knew it! My boy is finally becoming a man!"
"Ma," Katsuki shouted, his mother standing straight up to give him a tight hug. "Get off of me, who said I found anyone," he shouted, pushing away his mother with all his strength, and yet to no avail. If Kiri blabbed, He's a dead man.
"You don't think I know when my son's trying to get a mate? Look at yourself," she scoffed, grabbing his half-scaled arm and holding it up as evidence. "I mean, you absolutely reek of pheromones," she supplemented, gesturing to him vaguely. All Katsuki could do was stand there and try to think of a response. "Well...that's...you..."
"Enough, I already know, So go ahead and tell me who this person is," she said, grabbing his face in her hands with a wide smile.
"...you won't believe me." He didn't know how his mother would react...fae were largely regarded as myth.
"Try me."
"She's...she's not a dragonborne," he muttered, testing the waters.
"So? she could be mermaid for all I care, as long as you make me some grandbabies!"
"MA!"
Mitsuki rolled her eyes, giving him an unamused frown. "What? You're not a hatchling anymore, you're twenty-three! It's about time!"
"Well, she's...she's a faerie." No point in beating around the bush.
"A faerie...?" His mother seemed utterly confused, blinking a couple times and composing herself.
"And...you've managed to court her?"
"What's that s'pposed to mean," Katsuki huffed, crossing his arms.
"Answer me."
"Yeah, What about it..."
"Well that's...that's wonderful! Thank God you've found yourself someone who can put up with your bullshit, I mean really I was getting worried-"
"Hey! I'm fuckin' delightful!" Katsuki barked, tensing and glaring at his mother.
"Yeah yeah, We just have to go see the oracle, to find a good mating date of course," She said, waving him off and giving him a toothy smile as she dragged him to the oracle room.
"I just started dating her! We're not mating yet!"
"Not with that attitude, How do you expect her to stay if you don't commit?!"
You learned this morning that every dress the dressmaker offered to you was preapproved by your mother, because why wouldn't they be, and while you were able to keep a smile on your face during the meeting, you were absolutely crumbling inside. You and Katsuki just started dating, and now you were to be married some guy you met once last month? What could you possibly do to stop this...
two hours of mindless chatting with the dressmaker later, you had a solution. Or, rather, a way to help you cope a little. You'd spend the next couple weeks enjoying your time with Katsuki, making the most of it, say goodbye, and live the life you were destined to live. Yeah, that was good, right? A win-win for you and your mother...right?
You'd go and see Katsuki around noon again, but this time he has something to ask of you. Or, rather, tell of you.
"Come and eat lunch at the palace," he says, cupping your face in his hands and scowling down at you. "Right now," you asked with a bit of a giggle, your hands meeting his. It was surprising how touchy you both got so soon, but something just felt so...comfortable to you. Both of you.
He didn't really want to admit it, but if you'd let him he'd have his hands on you constantly. He couldn't say it so much with words yet, but he did care about you, so to show it he wanted to be touching you always. He felt like he earned it, after working so hard to court you.
"When else?" He scanned your face, looking for clues as to how you felt. "I mean...sure," you shrugged, smiling up at him. "But, wait, what about your family? Won't they see me...?"
"well no shit...my mom wants to meet with you."
You had no idea he even told his mother about you, and you immediately looked down at yourself. "T-today? But, I'm not even dressed," you said, clearly nervous. You needed to be dressed far more formally than this to meet not only your boyfriend's mom, but also the Queen of the Dragonborne.
"Don't worry about it, you look g-good," he responds, his voice catching on "good" because he was still getting used to speaking so fondly of someone. It's what he felt, though, and he was no liar, so he'd tell you what he thought. Of course, he wouldn't look at you when he said it.
"Well...do you think she'll like me?" You pouted up at him, nervously tugging at your clothes.
"I wouldn't take you if I didn't think she'd like you." He released your face, instead putting his hands on your forearms. "If we're going, we gotta go now," he added, his voice a little quieter.
"Yeah...yeah, ok," you said, trying to hype yourself up. One long walk later, and you were at the front of the palace. It felt odd, not sneaking around. You felt like everyone was staring at you, even though you were sure no one but the armed guards were. You both were allowed clearance, your hand clutching Katsuki's muscled arm, and you finally got to see the inside of his Castle.
The ceilings were extremely high up, so high you had to crane your neck to se them, and they all came to a point. The incredibly deep red of the stone walls, accompanied by the flames of chandeliers and torches lined up in the hallways, made for a dark, almost sultry ambiance. It was warm, but not as warm as it was outside, and as you walked through the palace you could feel the gaze of the armed guards locked on you. It was unsettling, the look in their eyes almost inhumanly defensive.
A man with spikey red hair, about as spikey as the Stalagmite shaped palace you were within, walked up to the both of you excitedly. "Hey! You must be Katsuki's girlfriend! It's great to finally meet you for real, I mean I've heard so much about you-"
"Shut up," Katsuki barked, clearly embarrassed about the fact that he talked about you to Kiri so often.
This man was highly energetic, his voice and smile warm and friendly. It put you at ease, knowing at least one person besides Katsuki was ok with you being here. "I-I'm (y/n,)" you said quickly, holding out your hand for him to shake. He took it, giving your hand a gentle but firm shake up and down, a toothy grin on his face. "Name's Ejiro Kirishima, but you can call me Kiri. The Queen is waiting for you two!"
You nodded with a smile, hands fiddling with the fabric of your dress as you and Katsuki followed Kirishima to the dining room. "Are you sure she'll like me," you whisper. Katsuki sighs and pats your back a bit. "Relax, she will...And if she doesn't, who cares?"
"I care," you mutter, watching as guards open the double doors leading to the dining room. Katsuki's mom was already standing there, an excited smile on her face. "Hi! You must be (y/n)!" she immediately takes your hands in hers, eyes darting all across your face. "H-hi! You must be Katsuki's mom," you say, trying to match her energy. "Come with me, I have so much to talk to you about," she says, pulling you away from Katsuki and to the large table.
You, Mistuki, and Katsuki spent the entire afternoon sitting around, eating at nearly every national dish, as the Queen wanted you to be able to eat in case you disliked anything.
The conversation was lead by Mitsuki at first, but as you got more comfortable, it became a lot easier to talk, especially with her detailed (and rather embarrassing) stories about Katsuki as a child.
I mean, who would have guessed he accidentally melted his toys when he was sick, and cried about it for a week? He got particularly red hearing that story again.
Watching their dynamic was particularly interesting, seeing as while the two of them yelled at each other, they didn't seem to particularly dislike each other. It was the complete opposite of your relationship with your own mom.
Your mother was quiet, a sinister energy following her even when she seemed perfectly happy. Katsuki's mother was loud, but her energy was bright and intense, like Katsuki himself.
After an hour of great conversation and great food, It was time for you to go, if you stayed any longer you wouldn't make it home in time. Leaving the palace, giving Mitsuki a hug as if you were old friends, you were nothing but smiles. It went nothing like how you thought it would! Katsuki was walking out with you, his hand in yours to tug you along.
"So, how come your mom has horns but you don't? Is it like a sexual dimorphism?" You had so much to ask about.
"Nah, It's just somethin' that happens to everyone when you mate," he replies, walking confidently through the entrance to Böse. He only started to hold onto you near the start of Eisen, he knew his way around this section.
"Really? Aren't we mated," you ask, almost a little nervous to bring it up.
"No, not yet. We're just dating."
"Oh...but, haven't you said we're mated? Didn't you go through a whole ritual for it?"
"That's to court you. Right now, It's like...we're seeing if we want to mate."
"So, it's like a marriage?"
"...sure." Katsuki didn't have the patience to explain the nuances of mating to you.
after a beat of silence, you started talking again, wanting to drum up conversation.
"Your mom is great," you complimented. "She's alright," he grumbled, his eyes sliding over to look at you. "She seems like a truly kind person," you remark, your voice just a little quieter as you looked to the flowers growing in the brush.
"She's not any different from other moms," he countered, picking up a pyre pine twig and dragging it through the dirt. "She is! She's different from my mom," you say, balancing on acrimony roots. "You're mom's not nice," he asks mockingly, not taking you too seriously.
"No, she's nice...but I said your mom was kind. My mom isn't kind." You look to the ground, your smile remaining but having a certain emptiness to it. Katsuki stared at you for a moment, realizing what you were getting at. After another few seconds he muttered, "'m sorry." He was quiet, staring at the ground as he walked just as you did.
"N-no It's ok! I'm ok," you laughed quickly, trying to play it off. The less he knew, the better. "I should meet your dad next time," you follow up, trying desperately to change the subject.
"You can't. He's not around anymore," he says bluntly, his eyes remaining on the dirt.
"oh, s-sorry," you mumble, looking away in a ton of embarrassment. After some silence, you spoke up again. "Uh...my dad isn't around either," you mention, hoping to give him some comfort.
"Yeah," he asks, looking at you now. He was intrigued.
"Uh huh," you say, gaining a bit of confidence. "He was...well, it's a long story."
"We got time," he grumbles, getting just a little closer as the two of you walk.
"Well...ok, uh...where do I start..."

If I heart it, imma comment on it, and I encourage you to do the same!
not to be controversial bc I know this is like…not in line with shifting opinions on fanfic comment culture but if there’s a glaring typo in my work I will NOT be offended by pointing it out. if ao3 fucks up the formatting…I will also not be offended by having this pointed out…
‘looking forward to the next update’ and ‘I hope you update soon!’ are different vibes than a demand, and should be read in good faith because a reader is finding their way to tell you how much they love it. I will not be mad at this.
‘I don’t usually like this ship but this fic made me feel something’ is also incredibly high praise. I’m not going to get mad at this.
even ‘I love this fic but I’m curious about why you made [x] choice’ is just another way a reader is engaging in and putting thought into your work.
I just feel like a lot of authors take any comment that’s not perfectly articulated glowing praise in the exact manner they’re hoping to receive it in bad faith.
fic engagement has been dropping across the board over the last several years, and yes it’s frustrating but it isn’t as though I can’t see how it happens. comment anxiety can be a real thing. the last thing anyone wants to do is offend an author they love, and that means sometimes people default to silence.
idk where I’m going with this I guess aside from saying unless a comment is outright attacking me I’m never going to get mad at it, and I think a lot of authors should feel the same way. ESPECIALLY TYPOS PLZ GOD POINT OUT MY TYPOS.

Tumblr media
"Turn around," Katsuki ordered, his face getting redder and redder as he realized his own nakedness. If he wanted to turn into a dragon, he'd have to take off the only shred of clothing he had left, and he sure as hell wasn't doing that in front of you.
You obliged him, sighing and facing the wall. "Take this too," he huffed, not giving you a singular second before the satchel he wore hit your back. "Hey," you shouted, kneeling and doing your best not to turn around, grabbing the satchel and holding it. The strap broke when Katsuki transformed last, so you had to just keep it under your arm.
The sounds you could hear from Katsuki were unfamiliar, like popping and glimmering and something else entirely. You could feel his presence grow larger, his form expanding. You turned around at the sound of giant feet planting on the ground, and what you saw...he was majestic.
His body took all available space, each ruby colored scale no doubt the size of your face, His piercing red eyes even more capturing as he glared down at you. His wings expanded outward, above the nearby buildings, albeit short ones...if you didn't know any better, you'd say he was showing off.
You stepped closer, you hand gingerly resting on his snake-like underbelly, looking up and squinting to see. You could stand on one of his big black claws no doubt, each of his scaled legs like the base of a tree trunk, his form solid and his stance proud.
He leaned downward, causing you to take several steps to the side so you wouldn't be crushed. His massive head nearly touched the ground, and he let out a low rumbling sound. He was telling you to get on.
Slowly and with a lot of struggle, you clambered up his side, situating yourself between a couple of the giant gold spikes that ran down his spine at an angle. As he sat back up and prepared for take off, you began to realize what exactly you were doing.
You've never ridden a dragon before, what if you fell? Katsuki wouldn't let you get hurt, you were sure of it. Shaking your head and taking a deep breath, you watched as his wings began to slowly flap, his body rising with each beat. You gripped onto one of the spikes, taking deep breaths to calm yourself. Wind was being generated all around you, your hair flying as he began to go up, and up, and up, and up.
You squeezed your eyes shut, bracing yourself, but when you opened your eyes after only a few seconds, you found that you were already far above the market. Everyone looked like ants from here, ants that were slowly disappearing into the horizon as you soared forward.
You could feel the wind in your hair, your eyes forced shut from the pressure, but you also felt weightless. Your anxiety subsided, left with the awe of being so high in the air. If there were clouds, you'd certainly be above them. You've never been this high in the air before, even when riding a Pegasus, nor have you moved so fast.
You could already see the palace ahead, and when you were able to see just past the wall surrounding it, you could feel Katsuki begin to descend.
He ended up veering to the right of the palace, landing around the area you came out of.
Of course, when you got off he made you turn around, poking you gently with his tail to remind you he'd be rather naked. You yet again obliged him, Listening to the sounds of his transformation, before you were graced with the sound of his voice.
"Give me my bag, It has that cloak in it," he ordered, his voice as gruff as ever.
You aimlessly tossed it behind your shoulder after taking your dress out of it, wanting to get him back for hitting you with it earlier, although from the sounds of it he caught the thing.
After the rustling of fabric, he told you you could turn around, and once again the cloak was wrapped around his waist.
He had you go through all the motions of sneaking into the palace grounds, although of course he made you go first up the wall, given his...current predicament.
Keeping you once again in Versengen's den, he left to get clothes. You took the opportunity to change back into your green dress, although you felt weirdly self conscious changing in front of the currently sleeping dragon.
Katsuki returned after about 10 minutes, wearing clothes nearly identical to the ones he had on before, and he seemed visibly disappointed for a second after seeing you out of that red dress. "What's even the point of buying you a dress if you're not going to wear it," he grumbled, pulling you out of the barn.
"Well, If I showed up back home wearing a brand new dress I think that'd raise suspicion," you laughed, watching Katsuki scan the area out of the barn before pulling you farther along. All this sneaking around and climbing and hiding was getting pretty repetitive.
Eventually, you reached the edges of the forest once more, and Katsuki wasted no time holding you by the shoulders like a shield. He hated how stupidly easy traversing the forest was for you, after all the time he spent dodging every danger it had.
The acrimony trees pressed their roots into the ground so you could make it through with no trouble, even going as far as to whip away the little pebbles you nearly trip on.
The trees in Eisen, densely packed and thick, separated for you, bending their trunks out of the way and allowing you to step through.
The trees in Schatz dropped their leaves behind you, showering you in golden flakes as you walked.
In Leben, vines extended towards you, offering you blooming flowers.
In Nebel, the little mushrooms glowed as you walked past, almost bending towards you...
Entering the center ring you knew so well, Katsuki released you and watched as you happily walked toward the giant tree trunk, standing atop it and stretching out towards the setting sun.
"Thanks for doing this for me, I had a lot of fun," you said, smiling as you watched him from afar. He didn't get any closer than the outskirts of the ring, he had to make the walk home and he didn't want to do more than he had to.
"Yeah yeah," he scoffed loudly, waving you off as you made your way to the water so you could go home. Going your separate ways, you couldn't help but feel giddy for next time.
When you got home, Ochako was there waiting for you, ready to help you get into bed. You greeted each other, and as she silently combed through your hair, she seemed to be thinking about something.
"What's the matter," you asked nervously, worried she might be on to you.
"Nothing," she said sweetly, bringing your hair into a loose braid. "It's just..."
"What," you asked softly, turning to face her after she finished. She sighed and looked to the side, closing her eyes. "Look, I don't know what you've been doing when you go out there, but...You seem happier. So whatever it is, keep doing it."
You were surprised, eyes wide and blinking. "Oh...well, uh...thank you." You smile at her, moving to your bed to lay down. "And for the love of god, don't tell me what it is, because I already know the queen won't approve," she sighs, meriting a laugh from you.
You settled into bed, and Ochako began to leave. You stared at the ceiling, pulling the covers to your chin. Did you really seem that much happier? Did he make you more happy...?
"Uhm, Ochako," you called out, your voice cracking.
"Yeah," she responded, turning to face you.
"Have you ever...liked a person? Like, really liked them?"
"I...can't say that I have," she admitted nervously, giving you an apologetic smile. "Why? Do you like someone," she asked quickly, her mood immediately lifting.
"N-no," you shot back, sitting upright with warm cheeks. If Katsuki were here he'd call you a shitty liar.
Ururaka sighed, giggling a little as she moved to leave again. "Well...If you did...I'm sure he'd be more than happy to have you."
"T-thank you," you mumbled, your heartbeat slowing as you calmed back down.
"Don't worry about it! I mean, with your status, any duke would jump at the chance," she laughed, leaving you with that as she shut the door.
right. You were supposed to like a duke, one of the many you met with. Your eyes hit the ceiling once more, brows furrowed as you blinked back a couple tears. What was wrong with you? You never cried, and all of a sudden you're crying about nothing?
So what if you couldn't be with Katsuki? So what if you had no say in your future? Tears kept spilling down your face, rolling onto your silken pillows and staining your cheeks in the process. Why can't you be happy with what you have, you're a princess, your life was handed to you on a silver platter...
You shouldn't yearn after something you can't have...and yet...
A life outside of this, a life with him...was it worth risking it for a chance?
Katsuki didn't make it home until late, like usual, but thankfully he didn't bump into anyone while traversing the halls of his palace. He really didn't feel like talking to extras. Making it to his bedroom, he immediately collapsed onto the bed, tired from the day he's had. Unfortunately for him, Kirishima poked his head through the door, looking at him with a giddy smile.
"What," Katsuki grumbled through gritted teeth, one arm behind his head with his eyes closed.
"C'monnnn dude, tell me about her!" Kirishima walked into the room quickly, shutting the door and practically flying over to Katsuki.
"Like I said, there's nothing to tell." Katsuki opened one eye, looking up at Kirishima while he stared him down.
He finally sighed, shaking his head and pouting. "Alright, I get it..."
Finally, he was going to leave.
"You're just grumpy because you can't pull her," Kirishima sighed, turning around and walking away so Katsuki couldn't see the shit eating grin on his face.
"Wha- Who said I can't," Katsuki shouted, sitting upright and staring daggers at Kiri. That really hit a nerve, not only because of his pride, but also because he was pretty sure he actually couldn't.
"You did, with you're eyes," Kirishima announced, being completely serious, as he turned back around to face him again.
"Shut up! If I wanted her I'd have her already, I'm the damn prince of the Dragonborne," Katsuki barked, moving to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Just 'cause you're a prince doesn't mean she likes you," Kirishima responded, sitting next to Katsuki.
Now all Kat could do was stutter and stumble, unable to come up with an argument. "W- uh- you-"
Alright, now it was time to actually help him out. With a sigh, Kirishima smiled kindly at Katsuki. "Listen, dude, whoever this girl is, she's important enough to you to fight for, so I say go for it!"
Katsuki looked to the floor, his jaw clenched. "...if I hypothetically had feelings for someone, how do I know?" Katsuki knows Kiri's been in love before, or at least liked a couple girls enough to pursue them.
"well..." Kirishima paused in thought, looking to the ceiling to try and give him an answer.
"For starters, your heart feels like it's gonna explode out of your chest, but like, in a good way..."
check.
"your hands get all sweaty..."
check.
"your always feel breathless, even if you can breath just fine..."
Fucking check.
"There's some other stuff, but it all depends on the person," Kiri finished, shrugging. From the look on Katsuki's face, his words rang true to him. "I'm goin' to bed," Katsuki announced suddenly.
"What about Pajamas," Kiri asked, given the fact Katsuki never changed out of his day clothes. "What about 'em? Just get the hell outa here," Katsuki grumbled, laying in bed and angrily pulling the blankets over himself.
With a chuckle, Kirishima got up and blew out all the candles, moving to the door and leaving him be.
Katsuki stared at his ceiling, intent on figuring this out. He liked you? Did he really...? He did. Good, got that out of the way. So, now what? Was he going to court you? Was he able to...
Of course he was! He was motherfucking Katsuki Bakugou, prince of the Dragonborne! He'd court the hell out of you, He'd court you so well you'll be weak in the knees! It was decided then. You won't know what hit you.
For the past two weeks, as in to say two weeks after going out to the market, you've noticed some weird things about Katsuki. First of all, He's started wearing more intense colors...if you could say that. His clothing, originally consisting of beiges and muted reds, now contained mainly black and deep, vibrant reds, not to mention his animal tooth necklace was now accompanied by golden rings and bangles.
He's also been bringing more things for lessons, like drac coins to teach you about his currency, little glass figurines to teach you about his culture's history with glassblowing, and different bits of jewelry with different gems inlaid to teach you about the stones' meaning historically. It was all interesting, and you appreciated his consideration when teaching you, but all this stuff was getting harder to hide when you went home.
Lastly, and this might be your imagination, but you swear his arm scales are turning a deeper orange and becoming more prominent.
Eventually, you just chalked it all up to the coming spring. Some animals changed their behaviors and appearances in the spring, and maybe Dragonborne were no different.
"Hey, you listening," Katsuki asked, his tone accusatory as he nudged your side.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry." You were lost in thought about it, despite the fact it really wasn't that important.
"You beg me to teach you things and don't even listen when I do," he huffed, leaning back on the stump and looking up at the pale pink sky. An orange butterfly floated right past him, catching his attention and leading his gaze to you as it landed in your hair and sat like a broach.
You didn't lean back with him, but your gaze was locked on the clouds drifting past lazily, the sounds of the babbling brook filling your ears.
All Katsuki could look at right now was you. Why wouldn't you accept his advances? He was clearly flirting with you, doing practically everything necessary to signify he wanted you as his mate. He gave you treasures, he sat as close to you as possible, he wore more eye-catching things when he went to see you. Hell, he's been doing this so long even his body started reacting.
When dragons, usually male, want to begin looking for a mate, they intensify their colors and release pheromones. Once they find the mate they want, they bring said mate treasures, spent as much time around them as possible, and dance for them. Of course, this is all for full-blooded dragons, but some things remained for Dragonborne people.
Genetically, he's still wired to change colors and release pheromones when he's entered the mating stage, and he's been doing just that. What else did you want from him?! You should be love-drunk off of his pheromones, at the bare minimum. Did he need to dance for you? It wasn't something people did anymore, the kind of thing some geezer on life support would suggest, but maybe you were old fashioned.
"What's up with you," you asked him, this time it was your turn to be annoyed.
"Do you want me to dance," Katsuki asked gruffly, looking into your eyes with complete seriousness.
"Wh- huh," you asked, a smile on your face as you processed what he could possibly mean by that. "Why," you giggled.
"Well you don't like anything else I do," He grumbled, brows furrowing. How dare you laugh, he was trying to be sincere!
"What are you talking about right now," you asked, laughing even more. You were so confused, completely lost.
He sat straight up, scowling at you. "Don't pretend like you don't know, There's no way in hell you...don't...know..." He started, yelling before tapering into mumbling.
You don't know.
How could he be so dense? You weren't a Dragonborne, you probably had some other dumb mating ritual. He should have done some research on faerie mating.
"Know what? Katsuki, Just tell me what you want to tell-"
he grabbed your face in his hands, squishing your cheeks a little as he looked deep into your eyes. He wasn't going to let you get confused, he was going to make this loud and clear.
"I. Like. You."
You froze, lashes fluttering nearly as fast as your heart. Was he serious? No way, he couldn't be...
"Like...Like-like?" You said "like" too many times. You were just so nervous.
"Well...yeah..." he mumbled, his initial confidence and bravery dwindling as he became more and more aware of how ballsy this was. He quickly released your face, turning to stare at the water as his cheeks got redder by the second.
"Just forget about it, 's not that big of a deal, so go ahead and shut up already-"
Now it was your turn to interrupt him. you brought your hand to his cheek, gently turning him to face you as you leaned in close. Without skipping a beat, you pressed your lips to his, eyes squeezed shut from how embarrassed you made yourself. The kiss was sweet and chaste, his lips warm and ever so slightly chapped as he sat there frozen in shock.
Like hell he'd let you just kiss him like that, not without fighting back.
He brought one hand to your waist, the other to the back of your neck, pulling you into him as he took a sharp breath in from his nose to calm himself. He was practically vibrating with satisfaction, with happiness that you reciprocated his feelings. He spent all that time refusing to believe that he was admiring you, wishing that he could feel you closer, wanting more than anything to experience your affection, when he could have had all of that so much sooner.
You could feel him breath out against your face, the air hot, almost like steam. Every part of you was on fire, flames fueled by the raw passion Katsuki emitted from simply being. His hands, his lips, his lashes, all of them felt on your skin and all of them making you feel weak in the knees.
Slowly and reluctantly, the two of you pulled away. Katsuki could hear your heart pounding. You could feel the heat around Katsuki. All you did was stare at each other, his eyes slightly lidded and intense in every sense of the word.
you were the first to break the silence, swallowing deeply as you said, "I-I've never done that before." He could hear how shaky your voice was, it made him proud to know he had such an effect on you.
"M-me neither." Damn it. Stupid body, giving away how you made him feel, you weren't supposed to know you effected him that much too!
"Uh...for the record, I like-like you too," you laughed, trying to play off your nerves with a joke.
Katsuki smiled, snickering. You were so cute. He was glad he could say that now, without feeling delusional. "I can't believe I spent the last two weeks trying to court you when I coulda just told you," Katsuki groaned, shaking his head at his own idiocy.
"You've been trying to court me," you asked, astonished. Katsuki burst out laughing, and after lots of begging from you and the swallowing of his pride from him, he explained it all.
"Ohhhhh...that...makes a lot of sense," you giggled, the lingering high from that kiss making you feel bold enough to rest your head on his shoulder. He allowed it, inching his hand closer to yours until your pinkies touched. You smiled to yourself, looking up at the sky as you interlaced your fingers with his. The beautiful deep orange hue, transitioning into a dark blue as nightfall was encroaching-
crap.
You pulled away from Katsuki, standing straight up and causing him to give you a confused scowl.
"I gotta go," you announced, your voice thick with apology. "I'll come back tomorrow though, promise," you supplemented quickly, brows quirked as you looked to Katsuki for acceptance to these terms.
"Fine, yeah, don't get in trouble," he grumbled, looking away from you with pink cheeks.
You grabbed your stuff, cheekily giving him one final peck on the lips before you left. "Hey, get back here," Katsuki shouted, grabbing you by the arm as he stood. He took your chin in his fingers, kissing you again. "Can't have you giving more kisses than I do," he mumbled, releasing you.
You looked up at him, surprised at first, but gave him a love-struck smile. "That's fair," you giggled, waving him a quick goodbye as you hopped into the underwater portal. He watched as you left, a stoic expression on his face, but the second you left for good he let out a breath he had no idea he was holding. "Holy shit," he mused, practically clutching his chest.
You were practically glowing as you walked home, making your way through the forest and to the palace walls. "Katsuki Bakugou, prince of the Dragonborne, my boyfriend," you muttered to yourself, smiling as you skipped along. A little bunny hopped into your path, looking up at you with round black eyes, contrasting it's pure white fur.
"I have a boyfriend," you squealed to it blithely, picking it up and spinning it around, before releasing it to continue hopping.
You greeted everyone you saw sweetly as you walked through the palace back to your room, which was a surprising large amount considering the time. 10...15...20 people you saw in total as you walked to your room? Everyone seemed so busy, you wondered what it was for.
You walked into your room, bright and happy, before you saw your Mother sitting on your bed. The queen of the Fae. Her deep blue dress made her stand out in your room, the white and pastels paling even further in her presence. "(Y/N) dear, take a seat," she urged, patting the space next to her on your bed, her voice and smile sickeningly sweet. Your stomach twisted in knots, your demeanor wilting.
"Let's have a little chat."

Pt. 3 of modern Wolf Hybrid! Katsuki Bakugou X Bunny Hybrid! Reader
MNDI!
Help, I've been tricked into writing ANOTHER series! This time on Accident! This is part 3 of my first Wolf!Katsuki fic, and while technically not required to enjoy this one, I highly recommend giving it a read for context(Check the masterlist for pt. 2)! This is about you getting comforted by your wolf kemonomimi boyfriend after getting basically disowned by your parents for being with him...of course, he has his own way of making you forget allll about that ;)
words: 3.3k
Warnings: cursing, Reader is AFAB, Pretty sure this is hurt comfort, Penetrative sex, P in V, breeding kink (Reader is using some kind of contraceptive), monsterfucking(? Maybe?), biting, fairly vanilla by my tastes but reader is bratty bottom and Kat is brat tamer

You were awoken to the feeling of Katsuki nipping at your neck, something he did all the time as a sign of affection. Your eyes were still a little puffy from crying, despite the fact that you've been sleeping for...what? 10 hours? 12? You had no clue.
You just didn't want to face the reality that you've been thrown out by your family just yet. You told your parents that you were dating a wolf man last night, and they didn't take the news well. It could be worse, you could be living with them or relying on them financially, but they still practically disowned you.
"Don't come back until you've rid yourself of that...that....heathen!"
Your mothers words still rang in your ears, and although you were lamenting the fact that she was so willing to be rid of you, you also felt some...anger. Not anger for yourself, but rather anger for Katsuki.
How could she call him that? She didn't know him at all...Sure, he could be rude, brash, a little arrogant, but he also loved you. He was the man that would go to the ends of the earth for you, who lit up in his own way every time he saw you, who was holding you close right this second...He hasn't done a damn thing to hurt you.
If anyone hurt you, it was your mother, your parents...
"I know you're awake," Katsuki grumbled. You forgot he was trying to get your attention. His voice was gruff and low from the lack of use, his arms tightening around you as his tail began to thump across your legs.
"Time 's it," you asked sleepily, turning in his grasp so you could press your face in his broad and muscled chest. He immediately started to pet you, smoothing your bunny ears down and against your scalp as he glanced at the clock.
"6," he responded, kissing your forehead.
"Too early," you scoffed, nuzzling into the crevice between his pecs.
"It's late, dumbass," he grumbled, moving to tilt your chin up, wanting to look you in the eyes.
"For you," you mumbled, looking up at him with a pout. He fully pouted back, his brows furrowed and his lip jutting out ever so slightly as his ruby red eyes pierced into yours.
"Just let me sleep in," you pleaded, your hand sliding up his shoulder and to his ears, giving them a nice scratch at the base.
he hummed in response, eyes closing as he leaned into your touch. "what'm I supposed to do while you sleep," he groaned, hand moving to your waist.
"What did you do before me," you asked tiredly, your eyes slowly shutting.
"Can't remember," he sighed, tilting your bodies so you were both laid diagonally across the bed, his face now nuzzled into your neck. he planted little kisses on the spot where your shoulder met the base of your neck, nibbling at the flesh and breathing in your scent.
"Cut it out," you groaned, smiling despite yourself as your fingers ran through his short, spikey hair.
a low growl of satisfaction came from his chest, before he trailed kisses up the side of your neck to your cheek.
"How're you feelin'," He asked gently, his voice still a little gravely. He wasn't asking in the way he asked when he wanted you to sing his praises for pleasing you, but in a sweeter, more caring way. He was asking about last night.
"Oh, uh...ok. I'm handling it..." you sighed, seeing no use in telling him half truths like, "I'm fine," or, "I forgot about it," like you would if someone else asked. He had a right to your honesty.
"Jus' handling it," he asked with a frown, his tone laced with worry.
What did he need to do to help you? What was on your mind? Did you need something specifically from him that you weren't getting?
You see, beneath all that rough n' tough exterior was a rather anxious man, one who wanted you to have all that you deserved, and in his mind that was everything. Someone good enough to be so loved by him must deserve the word.
"I guess...I just wanna forget about it right now, y'know? I need something to keep me occupied." You rubbed at your tired eyes, looking down at his expression. You didn't know how, but he always managed to look at you like you were a deity...not in the, "I'd kneel at your feet and beg for your grace," sort of way (at least usually), more in the, "I'd set the world ablaze in the scorching fires of passion, bringing anyone who dares speak ill of you to their knees with no mercy," sort of way.
It made you melt, knowing he cared so deeply beyond his words. Maybe that's why you liked him so much. Because you know he won't lie to you for his own gain. If he didn't like you, he'd say so, no matter how beneficial a relationship with you might be to him. He meant what he said and said what he meant, and that was something you could respect.
"Forget about it, huh," he mused, holding your hand and running his thumb back and forth across your knuckles. He seemed to be thinking, considering all the ways he could help, before a devilish grin appeared on his face.
You knew that look all too well. A smile crept onto your own face, a little bashful and a little lustful. Good thing it was early, that way you'd have time to sleep in after what he no doubt planned to put you through.
*
"Yeah," you sighed, putting on an oblivious expression you both knew was fake, if not from your tone then from the way your little cottontail was wagging quickly.
"I can help with that," he offered, his voice husky and his face in a cocky grin. He slowly shifted the two of you, his chest against yours and his rough hands on your arms.
"Well aren't you sweet," you giggled sarcastically, kissing him gently as your hands ran up and down his broad back. He kissed you back with fervor, smiling against your lips as he kept himself hovered above you with one arm, holding your hip with the other.
You could feel his hand slipping under your shirt, caressing your side as his kisses became more desperate. "Katsu," you whispered seductively, laughter laced within his name.
He was grinning like the Cheshire cat, his hand moving farther up your torso, taking your breast in his hand with no restraint. He was used to your body, he saw no reason to beat around the bush, and your little moans definitely confirmed that for him as he kneaded the doughy flesh. The arm that holds him up shifts to cradle your head, his fingers buried in your hair.
You wrap your arms around his neck, pulling yourself up to him and kissing him passionately, already kicking your pajama pants off. Once those were removed, you began to take his shirt off, something he did nothing to fight against, tearing away from you and helping you lift the clothing above his head as he sat on his knees.
You sat up with him, but he gently pushed you back down as your lips collided once more. You could tell he was being extra sweet with you, clearly not wanting to give you any extra stress after the night you had previously, and although you appreciated the thought it wasn't exactly what you wanted. Thinking of how to bring this up to him as he took the shirt off your body, you didn't even realize that he could plainly see you were lost in thought.
Frowning, his ears flattened back ever so slightly. What could you be thinking about right now that wasn't him? Actually there were a lot of things...but he was supposed to be distracting you right now, and he knew he was a pretty damn good distraction!
He leaned in and planted kisses down your collarbone, moving towards you breasts and watching you closely for a reaction. You idly toyed with his hair and ears, your eyes on him but thoughtful and clearly not present. He pouted, before abruptly biting down on your nipple. He didn't do it too hard, knowing how sensitive it was, but he did it hard enough to make you gasp in surprise.
"Katsuki," you yelped with a scolding yet slightly amused tone, eyes wide and lips in the tiniest of smiles. There he was. The Katsuki you wanted.
Ever impatient, he scowled at you whilst trailing kisses across the valley of your bust, then down the center towards your navel. "What? You told me to distract you," he scoffed, gripping your left calf and hoisting it over his shoulder.
"Am I not allowed to think," you argued, knowing full well this was a battle you were losing terribly.
He grinned malevolently, a fire in his eyes you were so used to seeing.
"Y'know what, bun? That's a damn good idea," he laughed, peppering kisses beneath your belly button and towards your increasingly aching sex. He kneaded your thigh with his hand, not once breaking eye contact as he carefully pulled your underwear down (for once).
His mouth moved around your pussy lips and across the innermost parts of your thigh, smiling up at you devilishly.
"Don't fucking think," he ordered gruffly, his open mouth kisses moving agonizingly slowly towards your soaking folds. He wanted you to say it. To say you wouldn't think...
"Make me," you sniffed, an expectant smile on your face. What kind of brat would you be if you just took his orders? This was how you played your part, your role in the game that was your sex life with Katsuki...just as he played his role by taming you.
"You must think you're so fuckin' cute," he scoffed, to which you quickly shot back, "I thought I wasn't aloud to think."
He bit down on your right inner thigh, hard enough to leave indents but not break the skin. You cried out in pain, and he yanked on your left leg to bring your dripping sex closer to his face. "You're lucky you taste so damn good," he grumbled, sticking his tongue out and watching for your reaction. He didn't need you to beg with your words, not when you begged like that with your eyes and body...of course, a little verbal begging never hurt.
He pressed his tongue flat against your clit, listening to you moan for him and roll your hips against his face. He immediately pinned your hips down with one hand, glaring up at you before continuing. His lips met the area surrounding your clit, tongue lapping up and down the nub, slow at first but speeding up with the encouragement of your voice.
"Mmmnh...Katsuki...don't stop..."
He hummed against you, powerful vibrations adding that extra stimulation you needed. His ministrations sped up, tongue moving faster and faster, the hand the held your hip down now encouraging your thrusting into him.
your hand snaked into his hair, playing with his ears as the fingers on your thigh moved to prod at your entrance. He moaned at your touch, more of that sweet vibrating coursing through you, and promptly shoved two fingers into you.
They immediately curled upwards, hitting your G-spot and increasing the writhing you did in his grasp, as well as the volume of your moaning. How he loved listening to your voice, the rhythmic sounds burned into his brain to be replayed on nights alone, spurring his pace along.
You watched his face closely, his blissed out expression as he got off to pleasing you and only you, the way he subtly humped the sheets not going unnoticed. the very sight of him like this, shirtless and groaning and eating you like a man staved was enough to make you cum...
and you did.
"fu-FUCK, C-cumming..." you managed to splutter out, thighs tightening around his head, hands yanking his hair to stay in place. He let you ride out your high, more than happy to be nearly suffocating in your grasp, and after a few hip-rolls and loud moans, you released him with a sigh.
He sat all the way up, completely wet from the tip of his nose to the bottom of his chin after being soaked in your juices, licking his chops like you were his pray. He licked his fingers clean while he was at it, not once looking away from your sweaty, heaving body. So fucking hot. So fucking his.
"You ready for more," he chuckled, already crawling over you and pinning your hands above your head. "But my back's so sweatyyyy," you whined, arching it a little to prove your point.
"So," he scoffed, his hand sliding beneath you to hold the small of your back.
"So it's gross," you huffed, clearly just trying to buy yourself a little time for composure.
He rolled his eyes, but thought of the perfect solution as his gaze met yours again. "You don't havta lay on your back," he said slyly, as if he won some game. In one swift motion, he flipped you over, his hand sliding to your hip to knead your ass immediately.
"Kat," you whined, smiling to yourself. Why'd he have to be so damn hot?
you could hear him fiddling with his sweatpants, the sound of the fabric leaving his body sending chills down your spine. You could just see his cock in your head now, thick and solid and standing at attention, uncut with a slight lean to the left. You spent a lot of time looking at it, you should know.
"you mad because I'm smarter," he asked sarcastically, leaning down in a plank so his mouth could be right next to your ear, before resting his knees in between your legs.
"You're so funny," you scoffed, rolling your eyes. Your face was annoyed, but every inch of your body was crying out for him to take you. You even arched your back and sat up on your arms out of instinct.
"Yeah yeah, seein' as I'm about to fuck you, you shouldn't talk to me like that," he grumbles against your ear, kissing where the lobe connected to your jaw. You didn't know when to expect it, although it helped when he sat up so he could see what he was doing. He didn't really need to, but he just loved watching his cock slip inside you, especially when you're still throbbing from an orgasm.
You sat in wait, biting your lip and closing your eyes for the best experience. You could feel his tip, sticky from all the pre he leaked, prod against your pussy lips, before it slowly moved around your entrance in tight circles. He was teasing you, although knowing him, he was far too impatient to keep it up.
Just as you suspected, in mere seconds he was pushing his way deeper and deeper within you, causing your to grip the sheets in pleasure.
He wasn't doing any better, hands firmly holding your hips as he panted watching you take him in. You were so tight around him, squeezing and pulsing, sucking him in as he forced his way through.
"Fuck..." he groaned, wishing he could see your face. He finally hit your cervix, his hips meeting your as he caressed your ass. He was going to give you a moment to breathe, he could see you panting with him, your back tensing as you breathed in and relaxing as you breathed out.
"Katsu," you urged, wanting him to go already. If this were your first time with him, you might have said, "I'm ready," or, "you can go now," but those phrases have a level of innocence you no longer contain.
He let out a derisive laugh, smirking down at you as he slowly pulled back out, his tip barely staying in, before shoving you back down on him. You let out a satisfied moan, your voice muffled from your mouth pressing into the sheets. He could see your little cottontail wagging, and as he continued to thrust at an inclining speed, he grabbed it.
"Katsuki," you squealed, your voice vibrating a little from the amount of force each collision of your bodies made. The sensation you got from him gently pulling your tail was a mixture of sharp pain and intense pleasure, causing you to moan even louder and tighten around him.
"holy shit," he choked out, panting and groaning more at the new level of tightness.
The two of you were losing your rationality as Katsuki fucked you senseless, his hands moving anywhere he could access, his tip kissing your cervix over and over again in a constant rhythm. Eventually, he felt himself getting close, and he had to see your face before he finished.
He grabbed you by your bunny ears, causing you to yelp, and used his other hand to grab your chin and move your face so he could see your side profile. he shoved your head back into the pillow, this time with your head turned, his grasp still on your ears to keep you there.
"Katsuki, fuck, I'm close," you whined, trying to catch his gaze in your new position. He held eye contact with you, his hips moving at a sloppy pace.
"Fuck," he huffed, releasing your head as he planted his arms beside your head, mouth right against your fluffy ears. "I'm gonna fucking cum," he moaned, pistoning in and out of you with lust driven fervor. "You better take my fucking cum," he blathered, rambling nothing and everything into your ear.
"You're so fucking perfect" "Your body was made for me" "Don't let any drip out" "Gonna get you nice and pregnant"
with each phrase punctuated with intense thrusting, moans, and groans, you found yourself reaching your climax with him, until the knot in both of your stomachs burst simultaneously.
You cried out for him, his name like honey dripping from your lips, drowning out the sound of his several final pumps into you, each one angled perfectly and shoving every drop of his thick load deep within you. He gripped the sheets in his hands, nearly ripping the fabric, his cock buried to the hilt as he road out the wave with you.
"Kat, you don't have to do all this," you giggled, your protective boyfriend prepping to give you the best aftercare of your life. He already showered with you, a sweet and gentle gesture as he spent that time washing your hair and body (After scolding you for doing it wrong, of course). He even got out before you, seeing as he tended to shower fast, and already replaced the sheets by the time you were done.
Now, he had you wrapped up in a nest of pillows and blankets, forcing you to drink some water while he held you close. You suspected it was something primal in him, like some wolfish mating instinct, but he always said that any boyfriend worth a damn would do it.
yawning and setting your water bottle aside, you nuzzled your face into his chest, watching as the sunlight peaked in through the windows.
"Thank you for distracting me," you whispered, looking up at him with a grateful smile. He just sucked his teeth, looking askance and blushing.
"Shut up, Dumbass...It's my job as your boyfriend..."
"Right...so, about getting me pregnant, you know that's not possible?"
"I just said that 'cause I was in the moment, damn idiot!!!"
you loved your wolf man, no doubt about it.

Pt. 2 of modern Wolf Hybrid! Katsuki Bakugou X Bunny Hybrid! Reader
This is part 2 of my last Wolf!Katsuki fic, and while not required to understand this one, I highly recommend giving it a read! This is about you, a bunny person, telling your family that you're dating a Wolf man, Katsuki...except they're extremely against dating between wolf and bunny hybrids. Womp womp.
words: 1.5k
Warnings: cursing, mentions of Kat and reader doing the horizontal monster mash, angst? I think? I'm not an angst writer, Pretty sure this is hurt comfort
Tumblr media
"Ok, I have my water in case my throat gets dry, my tissues in case I cry too much, cookies in case I stress eat...My phone, where's my phone?! I can't call them without my phone!"
"In you're hand, bun."
"Oh...right..."
"You gotta chill out," Katsuki huffed, standing behind you and gently rubbing your temples with his strong, calloused hands. His tail swayed gently behind him, idly moving as he bent down and planted a kiss on your scalp. Why was he being so lovey, might you ask? Because you were about to make the biggest announcement of your life to your family: You, a bunny-person, were dating Katsuki, a Wolf-person.
Was it that big of a deal? Not to you, a young person living in a liberal area, but to your incredibly old fashioned family, it was like announcing you personally orchestrated the plague.
"But what if they disown me or something," you whine, leaning your head back to look up at him with a nervous pout. He frowned down at you, thumbing at the tips of your plush bunny ears as they pressed against your head. "You'll still have me, 's not like you'll be alone."
Katsuki wasn't the best at all of this, seeing as he was a wolf guy that had moved out at sixteen and hardly spoke to his parents yearly, but he loved you, and therefore was trying his best.
You appreciated that, obviously, but his words did little to comfort you...you were just so nervous!
After a moment of looking into your eyes, seeing the anxiety just behind them, he leaned down and pressed his forehead to yours. "They're lucky to have you, if they know what's good they'll stick around."
Did he hate your family and wish they'd all fuck off and stay out of it? Yeah. Would that get in the way of how much he loved you? Hell no. So why would they feel any different, why would they shut you out just because you loved a wolf man?
With a heavy sigh, you sat up straight, positioning your phone on the coffee table in front of you so you had a nice, clear angle. "Ok. I'm gonna do it. I'm calling them...get out of the shot, please," you asked of him, to which he begrudgingly obliged with a pout. He plopped down next to you, nearly putting his arm around you out of instinct, before remembering the whole point was to not be seen.
You hesitantly leaned forward, pressing the call button and watching the Video Call register, the music filling your stomach with anxiety. "Relax," he mumbled, taking your hand off camera and holding it.
After a couple rings, your parents picked up, big smiles on their faces. "Hey carrot cake!" Your dad said, using a nickname you've had since you were six, when you ate so much carrot cake you spent the night throwing up.
"How's my favorite firstborn doing in the big, loud, far away, dangerous, city," your mom asked, a twinge of worry in her wide smile. She always liked to bring up how dangerous St. Lupus was, a city densely populated by wolves. "Great! Everything's great," you responded, squeezing Katsuki's hand a little tighter.
"You know, I was talking to Barbra the other day, and I think you and her son would just adore each other," your mom gushed, your phone pinging with a picture sent from her. "Isn't he handsome? Take a look," she prodded.
Katsuki growled a little, a low rumbling coming from him as he scowled, ears flat against his head. You reached over a little and put your hand on his chest, calming him and reminding him why you were here. "A-actually, speaking of that, I've found someone else," you started, pressing your lips together and watching for a reaction.
"Oh! That's wonderful dear! What's his name? Is he from Hoppsfoot? Bunny burrow? Oh, don't tell me he's from Cottonridge."
"Uh, he's definitely not from Cottonridge," you assured, your mother sighing with relief. "Well, tell us about him," your father pressured, smiling gently at you.
"H-he's from St. Lupus..." you stuttered out, squeezing Katsuki's hand a little tighter. You thought they'd connect the dots from there, but...
"I've never heard of a bunny being raised in St. Lupus, not without being turned into Sunday dinner," your dad joked, nudging your mom with a laugh.
Who does this guy think he is, assuming wolves still ate bunnies? What a close minded asshole. Katsuki looked to you, wanting to exchange glances of exasperation, but saw just how scared you were.
You looked like you were on the brink of bursting into tears. His heart ached for you, he just wanted you to feel ok. He leaned forward, just enough to be closer without being in frame, and brought your hand to his scalp. Scratching his ears always made you feel better.
You glanced over for a second, a sweet but rather fake smile on your face, and began to idly scratch around the base of his ears. He quietly groaned into your touch, allowing himself to be a little more open about how good you made him feel so you knew he loved you.
"The thing is, well, uh..." You looked into your parents eyes through the screen, their kind, caring eyes, and then to Katsuki's passionate, loving ones. Fuck.
"I can't," you whispered, frozen in fear, eyes pleading with Katsuki to have sympathy. You wanted to, you just...couldn't break their hearts.
"What's that," your mother asked, getting closer to the camera. Katsuki knew what he had to do, he wanted to help. He grabbed your phone, turning it to himself, your hand still on his head, and stated, "I'm (y/n)'s boyfriend," firmly.
Your parents gasped in unison, jaws dropped. "This can't be!" "Tell me he's lying!"
"It's true," you said, your voice wavering but your tone firm.
Katsuki handed you the phone back, and you held it closer to your face.
"We raised you better than this," your mother shouted.
"He loves me," you mumbled back, tears dripping over your cheeks.
"He wants to use you," she scoffed, venom in her tone.
"Wolves don't eat bunnies anymore," you argued.
"So? That doesn't mean he won't use you for other things," she sniffed.
"Mom!" Tears were pouring down your face, you were definitely worked up. Katsuki brought his arm around your shoulder, holding you a little closer to comfort you. For once, Katsuki kept his mouth shut. You had this. You didn't need his help.
"I can't bear to watch him touch you, I can't imagine what you let him do when we aren't watching!"
"What we do is none of your business," you yelled, your voice shrill from the emotions raging.
"Don't come home until you've rid yourself of that...that...heathen!"
"Fine," you shouted back, not even thinking.
"Fine," she responded, equally as loud. You could hear your dad say "honey," to your mom just before she hung up.
You sat there in silence for a moment, Katsuki's arm around you, staring at your now black phone screen.
"You...Okay," Katsuki asked hesitantly, his voice riddled with worry.
You broke.
You started bawling, Tears gushing from your eyes as you leaned into Katsuki's chest, wailing and lamenting the possible loss of your relationship with, at the very least, your mother. Katsuki leaned back against the armrest of the couch, pulling you with him as you both lay down. He rubbed your back in broad strokes, up and down, his other hand behind his head for support.
"I can't go back," you whimpered between broken sobs, arms brought to be around his sides.
You don't need to. Why go back when I'm right here? Who would want to go back to assholes like them, anyway? All of these thoughts were racing through his head, yet none of them could be voiced, one were what he wanted to think. You didn't need that.
"I know, bun."
That was all he said, planting soft kisses along your hairline and smoothing your ears against your head over and over again, petting you to calm you down.
Your howling died down into sobbing, the sobbing into crying, and the crying into whimpering. After just 10 minutes, you were silent, and after careful examination, Katsuki realized you were dead asleep.
Gently so as not to wake you, he lifted you up as he stood, carrying you to his bedroom and laying you down. He got in with you, pulling up the covers and leaving little kisses on your wet cheek as he wrapped his strong arms around your waist.
He could hear your phone buzzing with text after text after text, phone calls with different ringtones (ergo different people), the dinging of notifications on social media.
He'd have to get up earlier than you so he could delete all the hateful texts and voicemails, but that'd be tomorrow him's problem. Right now, all that mattered was you.
His beautiful bunny.

The Taming of Man: chapter Six - Dragon Shifting!Katsuki Bakugou x F!reader
Holy crap this one is long for me (Heh heh, that's what she said), Usually each chapter is about half of this length! I hope you enjoy the extra reading material, and I hope you enjoy the large amounts of plot growth to come!
Words: 4,715
This is incredibly based on the song The Willow Maid by Erutan, I highly recommend giving it a listen for the best experience.
Warnings: Cursing, reader is She/Her and will be AFAB in later chapters, Katsuki is practically naked for a sec, [reader is attacked, reader is tied up, reader is manhandled, reader experiences loss of vision]-> none of these are inflicted by Katsuki

The walk all the way to the market was slow, but not too long. You both walked along the dirt roads, people in carriages passing you on both sides. You couldn't take any carriage, or even a dragon, because it was too risky. That was basically a one way ticket to getting caught.
Before long, you could smell spices and meats in the air, you could hear the bustling of the people, you could see the crowds moving through stalls placed by street vendors. "Stay close to me, You don't wanna get lost here," Katsuki ordered, holding his hand out for you.
You instead took his arm, using both hands to grasp onto his left triceps, and in turn making him feel quite strong. Something about you holding onto his arm with your delicate hands made him feel prideful. He needed to stop getting so worked up around you, it pissed him off.
The two of you breeched the "entrance" of the market, Truly the entrance to town as the vendors put up their stalls next to the street every weekend, nearly blocking the businesses that had actual buildings. The yelling from each and every salesperson was rather overwhelming to you, being someone who had never experienced this kind of market.
"Capricornus meat, fresh from the docks!"
"Bread! get yer bread! only 3 drac!"
"fabrics and textiles! new sale! starting at 10 drac!"
Everywhere you looked there was someone trying to sell you, or rather the general populous, something. That's when you realized...
"Uh, Katsuki?"
He was busy walking through, looking around at the stalls but seeing nothing that impressed him. "What," he asked, not looking down at you and clearly distracted.
"I don't have any money."
You forgot that you were in a whole new universe, that had different currencies and certainly no exchange for your money. Even if your money did work here, it had completely slipped your mind when you were getting ready to leave, so you had none of your own.
Katsuki just scoffed, continuing to walk and drag you with him. Stopping wasn't an option in places like these, not when the groups of people were ever moving. "So? 's not like I expected you to." You might not have anticipated this, but the second he thought of going to the markets he also came to terms with the fact that he'd be paying for whatever you got. It wasn't a big deal, he was the prince, he definitely wasn't short on money.
"Really? Thank you," you said gratefully, smiling up at him. He pulled you out of the way of an oncoming woman, scowling at her for nearly plowing you over. "yeah yeah, just watch where you're going," he huffed, scolding you.
As the two of you moved, many merchants seemed to find you an easy target. A man wearing gold in every possible way shoved necklaces in your face, calling out, "A pretty girl like you must have pretty jewelry," in a sing-song tone. You just politely declined, Katsuki yanking you away before he could continue trying to sell. Similar things happened with a woman selling tapestries, a man doing tattoos, and a couple selling food.
Each and every time you declined, they'd scowl at you as if you just cursed their firstborn. Everything was...well, it was too much. Katsuki could see this on your face, the anxiety from the big crowd and loud noises, and firmly said, "Let's go in there." Before you could even look to where he gestured, he already pulled you into the shop, one of the few buildings that was still open at this time.
You were both greeted by an older couple, a brunette woman wearing plenty of rings and necklaces and a blonde woman wearing an extravagant purple hat. "Come in," The brunnette woman welcomed, her voice quiet and gentle, before the Blonde woman remarks, "Oh, Addy, look at them! what a cute couple," excitedly. You laughed, instantly much calmer than before, while Katsuki grimaced. "We're not a couple," he barked, to which the older women laughed. "Please, have a look around," the woman called Addy said warmly, Gesturing to their little shop.
Apparently, Katsuki had led you to a dress store. There were plenty of different handmade clothes to choose from, as well as accessories like hats, jewelry, and bags. "Wow," you cooed, pulling your hood down and releasing Katsuki to look around.
"My, aren't you pretty," The blonde woman complimented, walking right over to you. She instantly took your face in her hands, examining it and smiling. "You know, I bet you'd look fantastic in red...or blue...or maybe green," she laughed, turning to Katsuki. "You 'ought to count yourself lucky to be in the company of such a beautiful young lady!"
"Connie dear, you pry too much," Addy gently scolded, shaking her head. Connie just waved her off, sighing. "Well, If you need anything at all, please let us know! I'm Constance, but you can call me Mrs. Connie, and the party pooper over there is Adelaide, but you can call her Mrs. Addy." You nodded with a laugh, thanking her and beckoning Katsuki to come and look with you.
He did so begrudgingly, Following you around the store as you browsed. "If I find something here, I won't have to wear the cloak you gave me," you said sweetly, looking up at Katsuki as you flipped through dresses on racks. "I guess," he grumbled, something in him wishing he could keep you in his cloak a little longer. Something about the way the fabric swallowed up your body was...cute to him.
Every dress you could see had similar features, usually modest to hide from the beating sun but with a thin fabric to allow ventilation. You picked out two dresses, a green one and a red one, comparing them side by side. "Which do you think," you asked, turning your head to Katsuki. He sighed and thumbed at the fabrics, eyes flicking between you and the clothes. Why was he giving this any real thought? It's not like he cared...
"Red." he didn't sound too enthusiastic, but in truth he wanted to see how you looked in one of his favorite colors...plus, he agreed with the fabric wench. Red would suit you. You examined the dresses again, before nodding and smiling. "I think you're right." You turned to look for one of the two women you saw earlier, and thankfully Adelaide was right next to you two, adjusting hats on mannequin heads.
"Mrs. Addy, Could I get this one, please?" She turned her attention to you and nodded, taking your hand and leading you away. "Let's get it tailored," she said softly, looking towards her wife and nodding to the back of the store for her to help.
Connie followed, giving a mischievous smile to Katsuki for God Knows what. Now he was all alone in the main area, with nothing to do but look around. He couldn't just walk out either, even thought you'd probably take a while, because if something happened he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
"Damn idiot...now what'm I supposed to do..." he muttered, examining the different accessories that were available. He noticed a necklace with a delicate gold chain and a gold dragon pendant to match, the charm holding two little rubies set in for eyes. You'd look beautiful with it around your neck, especially with that dress...Katsuki groaned and shook his head, what was he thinking?!
"So, tell me, how do you feel about that boy," Constance asks, gently pinning the dress together to fit your body.
"Connie," Adelaide laughs, reprimanding her but also curious about your response. "He's just a friend," You quickly responded, your cheeks warming as you stood stock still for the couple dressing you. "Ahhh, that's what I said when I met Addy," Constance giggled, making Adelaide sigh while shaking her head, a blush on her own face.
"of course, times were different then, Didn't have so many opporitunities, and-" She was interrupted by Adelaide- "She get's it, darling." You giggled, watching the women work in the mirror with focus you wished you could have in your own job. "It's not like he'd like me back...Y'know, i-if I did like him."
Addy shook her head, standing straight up and giving a look that said really? "He'd be lucky to have an ounce of your affection," Connie scoffed, taking out her sewing needle and beginning to alter the dress.
Katsuki was sitting on a Bench in the main area, able to do nothing but wait, before Adelaide popped out with a soft smile. Constance followed soon after, saying, "She's all set!"
Katsuki Stood up, hands in his pockets as he looked towards the curtained fitting room. You confidently walked out, a smile on your face and your old clothes in your hand. "What do you think?"
He froze, taking in the sight of you. The dress was a bright, fiery red, with an empire waistline defined by a gold belt, a V-neck, and angel sleeves. There was a slit right down the center of the skirt, your legs fully able to breath, and fully able to be seen by him. What did he think? How could you ask that, knowing how good you look? "G-good," he grumbled, looking askance and clearing his throat.
You giggle a little and walk over, handing him his cloak to put in his bag. He takes your dress too, knowing you probably won't want to hold it. "Just good," Adelaide asked teasingly as the two of you walked to the counter to pay, making Katsuki turn beet red. "Just lemme pay," he mumbles, setting down a drawstring bag of Drac. Adelaide sifted through, counting out the necessary amount.
While she did that, Constance slid up to the counter with a deck of beautifully detailed cards in her palm, a cheeky grin on her face. "You know, there's a free card reading with every purchase~"
Adelaide rolled her eyes with a smitten grin, both in love with and tired of her wife's shenanigans. Katsuki scoffed, ready to go, but you smiled excitedly. "Let's do it!"
He scowled at you, saying, "Why should we?"
"Why not?"
"...fine."
Constance giggled and began shuffling the cards, humming to herself. Fanning out the deck, she asked you to both to pick a card, and you both picked one on opposites end of the deck. Flipping them over, she smiled widely and held the cards up. "Ah, star crossed lovers, yet your souls are intertwined!"
You and Katsuki were both completely flustered, you doing a better job at playing it off. "O-oh," you laughed airily, Katsuki getting his bag of money back while, for once, keeping his mouth completely shut.
"Connie, please, these kids have had enough," Adelaide sighed with a smirk, waving you both away and bidding you adieu. You both walked back into the intensity of the market, your hands returning to Katsuki's arm.
...
"It's not like I believe in that stuff anyways." "I've always taken those things with a grain of salt."
You laugh, both of you floundering to find some excuse not to believe her. Surveying the area once more as you walk, the scent of food becomes more and more enticing to you. Your stomach growls, especially at the sight of a food stand having what looked to be the juiciest goat leg you've ever seen, seasoned and fried to perfection.
"Let's go there," you suggest, pointing at the stand and looking up at Katsuki. "There? The food'll be too spicy for you," he scoffed, a smile barely showing on his face. "I happen to like spicy food," you huff, clearly some level of offended.
Katsuki grins and laughs a little, the discomfort he felt just moments ago now gone. "Fine then," he chuckled, taking you up to the vendor and ordering. "Two legs of lamb...and two waters," he told the man, handing him a total of 30 drac. He handed him the food almost immediately, and Katsuki handed you your meal while the two of you leaned against a wall to eat. He took a bite of his leg ferociously, he was hungrier than he thought, and his eyes stayed completely locked on you to see your reaction.
Watching him eat it so easily brought some comfort to you, surely it couldn't be that bad...you gingerly brought the meat to your mouth, biting down and chewing thoughtfully.
"It's not so bad," you remarked, shrugging and going in for another bite. Then, suddenly, the spice hit you full force, causing you to cough. "Holy shit," you spluttered, patting your chest. Your lips, tongue, and throat were all on fire, your face was hot, and your eyes were watering.
Katsuki burst out laughing, one of those genuine cackles that were hard to pull from him. "Here, idiot," he laughed, handing you a water skin and watching you chug it as fast as possible. "It won't stop," you groaned, fanning your face with your hand and sniffling.
Katsuki just kept laughing and laughing, doubled over with his hand on the wall for support. "I fuckin' told you," he howled, taking the lamb from you and holding it with his own in one hand. He gave you the other water skin, and you drank it all without question, the pain finally subsiding.
"I'm gonna be sick," you griped, wiping sweat off of your face. "You'll be fine," he chuckled, his laughing at your expense finally calming.
"I'm still hungry," you mumbled, wiping your mouth and once again looking around for food, this time something tame. Katsuki kept eating his lamb, knowing he'd have to eat yours too. He wasn't about to let perfectly good food go to waste.
"Well find somethin' fast, we don't have all day...and listen to me next time."
He was right, you didn't have all day, you'd definitely have to leave in at most an hour in order to be back by sunset. The both of you continued walking nearer and nearer to the center of town, your hand on his arm as you searched. A stand selling goat kebabs caught your eye, a mother and her child at the front of the short line. The kid was no older than five, his hand gripping his mother's dress as he sniffed and coughed a little. Poor thing probably had a cold.
He sneezed loudly, and to the surprise of you and only you, a burst of flame released from his mouth. You didn't know Dragonborne could breath fire, at least not in human form. Nothing caught on fire, everything here seemed to be nonflammable, and Katsuki only looked over because he noticed you stopped. "Wanna go there," he asked gruffly, to which you just nodded and smiled. there was still so much you had to learn.
The two of you waited in line, only a few people ahead of you, and 10 minutes later you had a full belly. Continuing to walk, you saw a glassblowing shop, the man inside easily manipulating the liquid glass with his bare hands and flaming breath, shaping beautiful vases and sculptures.
Katsuki noticed your eyes linger, and almost asks if you want to go check it out, before his attention is caught by the sound of a beating drum. You are immediately interested, eyes tearing away from the glassblower to find the source of the sound. A crowd is forming in a circle, so you decide that following the crowd is the best course of action. "Let's go see what they're looking at," you say giddily, your excitement making Katsuki blush a little.
"Whatever," he sighs. He already knows what it is, but supposes it wouldn't be bad for you to see. Taking you to the mass of people, pushing through to get nearer to the front, you finally see it.
A lump of purple fabric lie on the ground, surrounded by people beating drums and humming a low tone in unison. The mass of fabric begins to move, and you realize it is indeed not just fabric, but rather a woman wearing a lengthy and massive cloak, the edges adorned in gold bells. She slowly rises, hands gripping the very top corners of her cloak while her shoes are quickly and rhythmically tapping against the ground, hips swaying simultaneously, the bells jingling to the music.
Underneath her cloak was a short top and long skirt of the same color, all to accentuate the movement of her hips and belly. She shakes her hands, all the while rising slowly up and above her head as she leaves her crouched position, the cloak now looking as if it were the wings of a flying dragon, rippling in the wind.
Suddenly, she shoots her hands to one side, the half of the ensemble that she pointed to chanting "Hah" loudly. She repeats on the other side, all while continuously tapping her wooden sandals against the ground on the balls of her feet. Her gesturing becomes faster, moving back and forth between each side so the chanting becomes more and more frequent.
You had never seen someone dance in this way...all of her movements were concentrated in the very center of the circle, not once did her feet leave the spot she tapped against, her arms and hips doing most of the talking. The dancing was different at home, when your people danced they danced with lots of flourish, spinning and swaying and taking up as much space as possible. "It's so different..." you mused. "It's..."
Katsuki didn't want to hear it. He knew what you would say, the same thing everyone else said. That it was too crude, too sinful, too provocative. He opened his mouth to combat you, to come to his culture's aid and tell you to just shut up, but then... but then he saw your face.
Your eyes were wide, glistening with wonderment, your lips slightly parted in awe and your hand on your chest as if your heartstrings were being tugged out of your body.
"Beautiful," you murmured, watching intently. "Isn't it beautiful," you whispered to Katsuki, not looking away for a second.
"Yeah...beautiful," he muttered, eyes drinking in your appearance, memorizing each and every detail of that face, that expression. Why the hell did this keep happening? It's like every time he was with you, something incapacitated him. He couldn't think right, he couldn't see anything but you. It made his stomach to backflips, it made his heart beat in his throat, it made his hands heat up.
"Can we go put money in her bowl," you ask him, bringing him back to reality. Her dance was almost done, and next to her there was a bowl people were dropping money into. Katsuki took two drac from his bag, pressing them into your head. "Go yourself," he grumbled. He figured it'd look weird, the two of you walking up there, like a couple. He was sick of people assuming you were, he didn't want anymore of that.
You shrugged and took the money, pushing through some of the crowd to get to the little wooden bowl.
Katsuki watched you from afar, keeping his eyes locked onto your form, the flowing fabric of your dress trailing behind you, before someone bumped into him. "Watch where your goin," Katsuki huffed, before turning and seeing...Kiri?!
"Woah, sorry about- oh, hey bro!" Kirishima smiled at Katsuki, a bucket of veal in his hand. "What the hell are you doing here," Katsuki asked gruffly, arms crossed. "I'm getting Versengen a treat, it's almost his birthday...what are you doing here?"
Katsuki scowled, cheeks involuntarily going pink. "Why the hell do you care, I can go wherever I damn please!" Kirishima immediately picked up on the way Katsuki went on the defensive...and the intense scent of roses and honey lingering nearby. "Ok, ok," Kiri said nonchalantly, nodding and looking towards the dancing woman. "And you're totally not on a date with that girl, right?"
"We're not on a date," Katsuki instinctively shouted, promptly giving himself away. "So there is a girl," Ejiro shouted excitedly, punching Katsuki in the arm.
Walking through the crowd was a deceptively difficult task, pushing past people and squeezing through gaps. You finally reached the bowl, dropping the gold coins into it and smiling at the lady as she made her final steps in the dance. Proudly walking away, you once again pushed through people, being spat out in front of an alleyway...
So, this definitely wasn't where you were before. It was ok, you just had to look around for Katsuki's hair, and after a moment of scanning you could see it peaking out above the sea of people. Smiling, you took a step forward to get back into it, before getting yanked back by a pair of hands.
You tried to scream, but another hand immediately covered your mouth. "Heh, Look at her...She's gotta be a noble," a raspy voice chuckles, before another, slightly squeakier voice says, "probably sell for a pretty penny, huh?"
Oh. Hell. No. This isn't how you were going out. Kidnapped by some rando and sold? You weren't going down without a fight. Stomping on the foot of whoever had you and biting down on the hand that covered your mouth, you were released just long enough for you to yell out.
"There's no girl, there never was a girl, and there will never be a girl, so shut up about it," Katsuki barked, pissed as hell that Kiri wouldn't believe him.
"KATSUKI!"
"...No girl," kiri asked, cocking his head to the side...but Katsuki had no time to argue anymore. You were in danger. He muttered, "holy shit," before booking it in the direction he heard your voice. Kirishima followed, just in case he'd need backup.
"Stupid bitch," one of the guys shouted, grabbing you once more and holding you still despite your kicking and squirming. "Get the ropes," he ordered, and the other guy did just that. Your wrists were tied behind your back, your ankles tied to your wrists, and your arms tied to your torso. A black mask was tied over your eyes, a piece of fabric tied around your head to cover your mouth. You were tossed to the ground, your arms hitting a wall of the alleyway.
You couldn't see, all you could do was hear and feel. It was unnerving, you didn't know what was going to happen to you...Until you heard Katsuki's voice.
"Hey! Get the fuck away from her!"
Footsteps...two pairs of them.
"what do we do?" one of the kidnappers.
"Grab the girl and run," the other responds.
footsteps running towards you, stopping directly in front of you...but it wasn't a kidnapper...you knew because amidst the smell of garbage from the alley was the smell of musk, smoke, and caramel. It was Katsuki.
"Touch her and you die!"
then, something strange. The sounds you heard, you can't describe them, but you could feel Katsuki's presence grow larger. Then you could hear the sound of much, much bigger footsteps, planting down in front of you, accompanied by vibrations and wind generated with what seemed to be large wings fanning out. you leaned forward, wanting to touch what was before you to confirm your suspicions. Your cheek hit the mass before you. Just as you thought. Scales.
"oh fuck-" a guy shouted, cut off by the great, screeching roar of Katsuki Bakugou in his dragon form, so loud your ears began to ring. You wished you were able to cover them, but all you could do was shrink back into the wall.
Now everything was muffled, like the Footsteps running towards the entrance of the alley, only to be stopped suddenly.
an unfamiliar voice was speaking, the loud protesting of the criminals insinuating that the two men were grabbed and picked up.
You could feel Katsuki's once great form shrink, and you could barely hear him panting afterward. Then, a little clearer now as the effects wore off, you could hear the rustling of fabric, accompanied by his grumblings about his clothes being torn.
"Hey, can you hear me," he asked, his tone sharp, yet carrying some amount of gentleness. You suddenly felt his hands on your face, before he pulled the mask off of your eyes and the fabric out of your mouth.
"Uh-huh," you mumbled, blinking as the light finally found your pupils. Katsuki was crouched before you, a look of concern thinly veiled by anger on his face. He was rather naked, that cloak he let you borrow wrapped around his waist, his chiseled muscles on nearly every part of his body completely displayed to you. "You ok? Did they touch you," He asked, that second question with a tone of worry and slight wrath.
"O-only to tie me up," you answered, squirming in your bindings. Katsuki brought his hands around you, reaching behind to take off the hogtie they put you in. When he couldn't immediately undo the knots, he just impatiently ripped the rope in two anywhere that was keeping you bound.
sitting up and rubbing at your wrists and ankles, you looked up at Katsuki with gratitude. He looked back down at you, his brow furrowed. Were you judging him or something?
"what," he asked gruffly, pulling back from you and sitting on his knees.
You came in fast, giving him a big hug around his neck and pressing your face into his bare shoulder. "Thank you for saving me," you whispered, a tear rolling down your cheek.
You weren't a big crier, you don't spend your entire life with an emotionally manipulative mother without learning how to not cry, but this was a lot for you. You were almost kidnapped, and Katsuki, this man who was so adamant about not getting too close to you, saved your life and took care of you after without question.
Katsuki sat there for a moment, about to let you hold him for a few seconds and pull away without him touching you back just like every time, before slowly bringing his arms around you. He wasn't very good at hugging, he had no experience at it, but he knew you needed it right now, and you needed it specifically from him. You wanted him to hug you.
He put his left arm around your waist, and his right arm under your arm and over to your shoulder, holding you firmly despite how nervous he was. His cheek was pressed to your head through no fault of his own, but as he slowly breathed in the scent of your perfume, his entire body seemed to relax. When was the last time he felt this at peace? He can't recall...but he knows that any time he asks that question in the future, he'll definitely remember this.
You slowly pull away, surprised to get even the tiniest bit of resistance from Katsuki, before wiping your eyes and smile. "Gah, look at me," you laugh, flicking the tears off of your hand. "We should probably head back...and get you some clothes on the way."
Katsuki looks down at himself, realizing he was practically naked. "Last time I save your ass at the expense of my dignity," he scoffs sarcastically, meriting a giggle from you.
"C'mon, we can go back to that dress shop, they have masculine clothes," you offer, standing up and smiling down at him. He stands too, grabbing his bag and grimacing at the thought of walking all that way like this. "Why even bother, might as well fly," he scoffs, not even registering the fact that the idea would be so appealing to you.
"Really," you ask excitedly, having never flown on the back of a dragon before.
"Well don't lose your shit over it..." he grumbles, blushing at your happiness. Even with his apparent annoyance, He'd be giving you a ride back in his dragon form. Like hell he'd disappoint you, not after you smile at him like that.
Maybe it was time to do a little thinking about all this, about how he really felt.
Maybe he was realizing pining after you wasn't as bad as he thought it'd be.
Maybe your smile was worth it.

The Taming of Man: chapter Five - Dragon Shifting!Katsuki Bakugou x F!reader
Once again, I expected this to be wayyyyy longer, and once again, I realized just how much writing that entailed. I hope this was enough plot progress for you, I really am liking the relationship between Katsuki and reader so far <3
Words: 2,743
This is incredibly based on the song The Willow Maid by Erutan, I highly recommend giving it a listen for the best experience.
Warnings: Cursing, reader is She/Her and will be AFAB in later chapters, Katsuki is painfully bad at lying
Tumblr media
The grass...well, was is really grass? It was fiery red, it crunched beneath your feet, it wasn't like the soft and gentle sea green grass you were used to. The air was dry and lightly scented of smoke, causing your nose to crinkle, and the sky was a perpetual shade of pepper orange with not a cloud in sight, only undistinguishable animals circling above, maybe vultures or falcons. The few trees and bushes around were barren and tinted a warm shade of desert red, their big thorns branching outwards and daring anyone to touch them.
Before you, maybe a football field's distance out, was the palace, Katsuki's home. It was tall, so tall you nearly fell over looking at it, the many towers shooting upwards making it looking like a red stalagmite formation. Closer than the palace was the large wall surrounding the structure, scraggly like the side of a mountain, no doubt holding a massive courtyard inside. It reminded you of your own palace, the aesthetics different but the size and awe it induced from others the same.
"This is..." you started, looking around and drinking in every detail, unable to put together your words.
"Forrmidūl," Katsuki finished bluntly, grabbing your hand in his calloused fingers and pulling you away from the regal structure. you wanted to go and see shit? fine, but there was no way in hell you were going anywhere near the castle. The crap he would get over having a girl by, especially a girl so pretty, wouldn't be worth it, his mother would already be planning a spring wedding.
"W-wait, Katsuki," you whined, not taking your eyes off the building. The more you looked at it, the more you realized that those circling birds were way higher up than you thought before...meaning they were way bigger...
"Are those...?" You squinted, unable to get a good look with the sun blaring in the corner of your eye, but thankfully Katsuki turned around to see what you were looking at.
He just rolled his eyes, it was so obvious to him, how couldn't you tell? "Dragons, dumbass," he scoffed, dragging you towards nothing in particular, he didn't care where you were going as long as it wasn't there.
"Dragons," you whispered, a big smile playing on your face as you watched their silhouettes dance in the sunlight.
You and your stupid face, always so easily impressed, always so smiley. He'd never met anyone who smiled so often, it made his heart beat faster and his hands get all sweaty. He was pissed off, that had to be it. All the symptoms were there, it couldn't be anything else...it shouldn't be anything else. You weren't even from the same realm. End of story. That should be enough for him to not like you, to not want to keep his hand in yours just a little longer, to not want to breath in your scent and hold you close and make you smile and-
"Where are we even going," you finally asked, putting your attention on his inexplicably red face and strong grip on your hand. "How'm I supposed to know? It was your idea, wasn't it," he snaps, turning around to face you with a deep frown and furrowed brows.
You just giggled a little and shook your head, it was almost impressive how irritable he was. "Well it's your country, I don't know what's here...I thought you'd have something planned." Your reasoning was annoyingly sound, and while yes, he'd been thinking about this all night, it was less for planning and more stupid worry about keeping you safe.
He seemed to be thinking for a moment, looking down and away while his face stayed angry. "We'll go to the market," he decided begrudgingly, sounding unhappy with the idea. You, however, seemed perfectly happy, smiling widely and saying, "Fun, like a shopping date," absentmindedly. You didn't realize how much those words would effect him.
"N-No, not like a shopping date," he said quickly, turning tomato red and seeming to fumble his words a little. It was just then that he realized he was still holding your hand, and it was then that he immediately let go.
"Ok, ok, not like a shopping date," you laughed with a smile, finding his floundering cute. He sighed and grabbed you again, this time by your arm, and began pulling you to the palace. If you were going to the market, he'd have to fix some things...and that meant having to do a little sneaking around. "Where are we going now," you asked, making him grumble with annoyance. You asked too many damn questions. "I need to get you a jacket or something, you can't be walking around looking like...that."
"Like what," you asked, clearly offended, you hand on your hip as he dragged you along. "Like a foreigner," he scoffed, stopping at the wall surrounding the courtyard. "People'll try to take advantage of you, especially when you look like a blue-blooded b-" he stopped himself, mulling over how exactly you would feel being called a rude name for perhaps the first time in his life, before continuing with- "person."
You caught that, and you had to admit you appreciated his attempt to be at least a little nice. "But aren't you a royal too," you pointed out, watching as he began to scale the short wall, using the rocky terrain to his advantage. "Yeah," he said, his voice slightly strained from his efforts, however able to reach the top before he continued with, "But not a foreign one."
He reached his hand out for you to take, he wouldn't expect you to climb after him in shoes like that, and although you were already scaling the wall, you gladly took his hand and allowed him to hoist you up with ease. "What's the difference," you asked, to which he grumbled at how annoying he found your questions. "The difference is they respect me because I've earned it, now jump down and wait for me at the bottom."
You understood now, being royal wasn't enough for people to respect you here, not like how it was where you were from. You hopped down, the distance not any farther than the wall surrounding your home, and looked up at him from the base of it. His golden hair seemed to shine in the sunlight, his ruby red eyes practically piercing you with the way they bore into yours, and his muscled body concealed by his clothes.
He followed after you, jumping down and bending his knees on the impact. Without another word, he took your arm again and began walking forward, a grove of fruit trees surrounding the two of you. They weren't from here, imported in from other countries as Forrmidūl was a land that had little to offer agriculturally. Even the soil was imported in, the sandy and dry dirt of this place completely inhabitable by these plants.
You weren't walking nearly as long as you were going through the Farbenreich forest, but it took a hot minute before you reached your destination, an extremely large barn, practically its own mini palace. Katsuki pushed the giant metal hatch open, moving the heavy door with ease. The barn wasn't wooden like the ones you were used to seeing for the alicorns and pegasai, but instead made of all kinds of metals.
You'd realize why when, as he swung the door open, you saw giant dragons in their own stalls, curled up in nests and sleeping. There were Wyverns, Wyrms, Western dragons, Lung dragons, Amphitheres, nearly every land dragon namable was there. Katsuki walked in like nothing, clearly used to this, while you followed with a look of awe and astonishment.
He walked all the way to the very back of the barn, making sure you were following, and opened up the gate to a stall that went all the way to the vaulted ceiling. "You're staying in here until I bring you something to cover all that," he said gruffly, holding the gate open for you. Inside was a giant red dragon, sleeping in a curled up ball atop a nest of treasures. It's nostrils were as big as your head, flaring as it slowly breathed in and out, its wings tucked against it's body. It's scales had an iridescent sheen to them, shimmering orange in some lights, reflecting gold in some of the many coins and jewels it lie upon.
"woah..." you whispered, you're own eyes reflecting the glittering beauty. Katsuki watched your awe for a moment, drinking in the way your face held an astonishment that, for reasons unknown to him, made his chest swell. "What's their name," you asked softly, hesitantly turning your attention to Katsuki.
He cleared his throat and quickly looked away from you, his eyes now on his dragon. "His name is Versengen...now get in there already, I don't wanna get caught."
You obliged him, however with some sass in your body language, and took a seat on the giant pile of treasures. The great beast behind you formed a semi-circle around your body, it's curled position leaving it's head about 6 feet from your right, and the very tip of it's spiny tail a yard from your left.
"Uh...what if he wakes up," you ask hesitantly, the breath of him pushing your hair to the side with every exhale and pulling it back in with every inhale.
"Just don't look 'im in the eyes and you'll be fine," he scoffed, already leaving.
"What do you mean 'don't look him in the eyes,'" you called after him nervously. He was already out the door. "Katsuki," you whisper-shouted. No response. "What happens if I look him in the eyes?!"
As Katsuki left the front of the barn, all he could think about was how much this inconvenienced him, you and your constant asking for shit. Oh katsuki, teach me about your world. Oh Katsuki, take me on an adventure. Oh Katsuki, look how perfect and pretty I am...ok, maybe he made that last one up, but the rest of it was true! He was so wrapped up in his own head, he bumped right into Kirishima walking towards the barn as Katsuki walked away.
"Oh, hey dude," Kiri said nonchalantly, his hands full with a giant bucket of raw animal meat. "Watch where you're goin," Katsuki grumbled, to which Kirishima laughed but didn't argue. At this point, he knew it would be an uphill battle.
"What's that for," Katsuki asked, gesturing towards the bucket. Please don't let it be what he thinks it is. "This? I'm gonna go feed Versengen," Eijiro answered innocently.
"No," Katsuki shouted, successfully confusing Eijiro. "No...I already fed him," Katsuki lied, about as convincing as someone blunt as himself could be. "Really," Kirishima asked, a little suspicious but also seeing no reason as to why he would lie. "Alright then...I'll just go put this back..."
Katsuki would owe Versengen a feast later. He just kept walking towards the palace, now beside Eijiro, who was doing nothing but staring at Katsuki. "What," Katsuki huffed, scowling at his servant. "Nothin...Hey, how's it going with that girl?"
"There's no girl, I already told you," Katsuki barked, immediately turning red. "Right, of course not," Kirishima said sarcastically, grinning at Katsuki widely. Bakugou was silent for just a second, trying his best not to inadvertently give himself away. "Hasn't anyone ever told you to mind your damn business," He finally huffed, looking askance.
Eijiro laughed and shook his head, amazed at how strictly Katsuki stuck to his lie despite the truth being so obvious. "Whatever makes you happy dude," Kiri sighed, making Katsuki even angrier. How dare he not believe him!
"I'm serious! there's no girl," Katsuki yelled, nearly foaming at the mouth. "Yeahhhh, for sure," Kirishima sighed with a laugh, turning to go through the back kitchen door. If Katsuki didn't have something to do, he'd be following him, but lucky for Kiri, he was busy.
"Damn shitty hair...not believing my lies..." Katsuki grumbled, hands in his pockets as he made his way around the palace. He entered through a side door, now inside the base of one of the many towers. It took a while, but after trekking through the vast and dark, barely candle-lit castle, he finally made it to his chambers. He grabbed the first thing he saw that might work, a simple red cloak that would surely cover your body. Shoving it into his bag, he began to retrace his steps back through the castle. You owed him for all this crap.
Katsuki had just about reached the barn, sliding up the hatch, when he heard a practically ear-splitting shriek. Oh. Fuck. No, you couldn't be hurt. holy shit, what was he going to do if you got hurt? He burst through, dashing to the back of the dragonhouse and practically kicking the door open.
There you were...perfectly...fine?
Versengen craned over you, his long tongue running over your face in broad and happy strokes, you squealing with laughter. Katsuki let out the biggest sigh of relief, before stomping over and scowling at you. "You scared the shit out of me, don't scream like that," Katsuki shouted.
Versengen practically whacked him on the side of his head with his tail, moving a little to be in between the two of you in a protective way. "You can't side with her," Katsuki huffed, crossing his arms and glaring at him. Versengen wobbled his head from side to side, his breath becoming so loud it practically shook the stall and filled it with steam as the scales around his neck extended in and out, like the gills of a fish. "Don't give me that," Katsuki scolded, as if he were talking to a small child and not a ferocious dragon.
"Ok, as cute as this is," you started, standing up, "I kinda really wanna go to the market now." Katsuki's attention returned to you, and he grabbed the cloak from his bag. "It's not cute, he's being an asshole," Katsuki said pointedly, eyes still on Vergensen as he passed you the item of clothing. The beast just made a sound similar to a chuckle, a throaty, breathy sound being released in short bursts.
You put the cloak on, holding it together by the ruby clasp and pulling the hood up over your head. The fabric went all the way down to your feet, nearly touching the ground, and the hood partially covered your eyes. It was almost too big for you, enough to be annoying but not enough to greatly inconvenience you.
"Awww, but he is cute," you cooed, stepping out of the circle the dragon made around you and rubbing his snout in circles, the texture smooth but the scales threatening to cut you where they layered atop one another. Versengen let out a deep rumbling sound, not a growl but a continuous purr, his head lowering down as you relaxed him just enough to put him back to sleep.
Katsuki watched you handle his Dragon so effortlessly, you truly had a way with nature. Flora and Fauna alike bent their will to you, doing as you wished not because you forced them, but because you were so good-hearted. "C-come on, let's go already," he grumbled, grabbing you by your elbow and yanking you away. "Hey, you can turn into a dragon, right," you asked, eyes thankfully still on Versengen, if you saw how touched Katsuki was that you two got along he might just die of embarrassment.
"Yeah, so what," he said sharply, taking you to the front of the barn and peaking out to make sure no one was watching. "Do you purr too," you asked teasingly, grinning at him cheekily. He twitched, clearly not expecting that, before responding with, "Why the hell do you care?!"
"Take that as a yes, then," you said with laughter, giggling as you both ran out of the barn. You clambered up the wall, Katsuki once again hoisting you up while saying, "Don't just assume shit!"
Hopping down and waiting for him to follow, you said, "Oh, so you're saying if I were to pet you the way I pet Versengen, you wouldn't purr?"
"..."
You reached your hand out, a wide and playful grin on your face.
"Don't fucking touch me."
Katsuki was already sick of your bullshit, and you hadn't even been together longer than a few hours.

As long as you tag me, I wanna see it! ;)
have you ever read a fanfic so good that you wanted to write a fanfic about that fanfic, but was too shy / too intimidated to ask for the author’s permission and too afraid that your writing wouldn’t be half as good as theirs and that it would be an insult to their work that was basically a literal masterpiece, so you just sat there fantasizing about their work and how beautiful it was and how you wished you could just eat it and how you wished canon could write your blorbos half as good as this writer did and how you just wanted to cry because you just loved that fic so much????

Vampire prince!Gojo x peasant!Reader oneshot? drabble? headcannons? idk
Ayo imma just drop these right here...Idk what to call them, but enjoy? I've never used this format before.
warnings: Cursing, mentions of Blood and the consumption of it by both reader and Gojo, reader is too chill for their own good, Gojo has Limitless rizz
Tumblr media
Vampire! prince Gojo wasn't always a vampire
he used to just be...well...a prince.
then one late night, he was visited in his room by a man looking to be in his twenties, dressed in black and moving in shadow
he was talking on and on about how he missed the inevitable death he was once promised, how time and reality wasn't how it seemed, how Gojo must be cursed for all eternity with his fate so he could finally die...yeah, Satoru wasn't really paying attention.
Long story short, after being bit on the wrist, Satoru became a vampire!
it was way easier than he thought it'd be, the only things he had to worry about were his fangs being seen, being easily sunburnt, not touching silver, and not eating garlic. Garlic wouldn't hurt him like silver would, but the hives were really itchy and his mouth felt funny after
At first, he would feed off of anyone he wished, drinking them dry and then not eating again for another month, but...
one night, after silently creeping into a tiny little hovel to find the next poor peasant to feed on, He saw you. Curled up in your cot, a blanket covering your body, your face serene as you slept so soundly
All he could do was stand there and watch you breath, to take in your perfect face, the scent of your sweet blood, and unconsciously move closer
He stepped on a creaky floorboard, and being a rather light sleeper, you immediately woke up.
Oh. Fuck.
He froze in fear, as if he thought that you wouldn't see him if he didn't move
You didn't react at all the way he expected though, you didn't yell or anything, you just asked why he was here
Maybe you were crazy...maybe he liked that
He just very nonchalantly said, "I'm a vampire," while pointing at his sharp teeth
You asked if he was going to kill you, and he answered with a "Probably not," accompanied with a wink
somehow, he managed to charm you into a relationship, and within a week you had a routine
Once a week every week, he would whisk you away to his chambers, where he would make a meal out of you and only you
Why not just continue what he was doing prior, as well as hold a romantic relationship with you? two reasons.
One, The loss of a serf every month to an alleged vampire was definitely making it harder for him, both as a future ruler and as the culprit. He did kinda care about his people, after all, and having more and more night-watchers to catch vampires around (and more people being wrongfully persecuted) made it so he was already looking for an alternative
Two, you just tasted that good. Your blood was the best he's ever had, and anyone else paled in comparison. Of course, you yourself kind of preferred this arrangement, seeing as you knew how intimate the process was. What could you say? You didn't want his mouth on anyone else.
all of this said, you clearly needed to keep it a secret, and of course Satoru took that about as seriously as he took anything else
sitting on his throne while the king addresses the people? God forbid he spots you in the crowd, because he's waving like a little kid, hand way above his head and a big goofy smile on his face.
Because of that, you hardly attended the near-weekly speeches, and of course he gave you crap about it
He loved seeing his little love in the crowd!
"Where were you," he'd whine, languishing over you after drinking from your neck
you tell him that maybe if he didn't blow their spot you'd be there, and he just waves you off about it
eventually, he craves your blood more and more, trying to charm you into letting him take you away earlier in the week
you've never let him, firstly because you need your blood levels to replenish, and secondly because you worked
See, your day off was Sunday, and he always came over to get you on a Saturday night
You would stay until Sunday afternoon, and by then the wounds would have already healed
Vampire magic was cool like that
if you were picked up on a week day, you wouldn't be able to stay the night, not to mention the little punctures on your neck would be completely visible the next morning
you'd be hung for sure, and as much as Satoru was a thirsty bitch, he wasn't that thirsty
He was, however, thirsty enough to try and learn as much as he could about all this vampire stuff to find a solution to both of your problems
he eventually came across a scroll detailing a ritual preformed by a vampire and a human, a joining of souls called a blood-bond
being completely honest, he only skimmed it, but he pretty much got the idea
you both would drink each other's blood on the night of a blood moon, and once the ritual was complete, you would have an infinite amount of blood for him to drink, you would have his immortality, he would be forever compelled to protect you, and he could only ever drink from you
he was more than happy with that arrangement, but while he was ready to live for eternity with you, he wasn't sure you were
it was a big decision!
he decided to wait to tell you
he forgot about it after a month
two months later, after a feeding that was cut short due to the fact you were feeling a little dizzy, you mentioned how you wished you could do more for him
you even said he could feed off of other people if he needed it
this sweet confession, albeit slightly offensive due to the fact that you thought he'd accept such an offer, made him remember the whole blood-bonding thing, and he immediately told you all about it
you accepted, thank God!
the very next blood moon, you both partook in the ceremony
it was kind of like getting married
the next eternity would definitely be a little confusing, but you'd have each other, and that was all you needed.
Tumblr media
The end? Idk if there's a way to smoothly end to these types of things. I had fun though, this was an easy way to just put an idea out. If you follow The Taming of Man, the next chapter'll be out in a week or two! as always, leave a comment telling me how you felt about this :)
