Inuyasha comes off to me as someone who's incredibly shy about stuff like kissing, tbh. I can imagine as newlyweds, Kagome notices how hard he stares at her sometimes and she'd finally have to say: "It's okay to kiss me, if you want :)"

can i say something about inukik & inukag lol
For context, I’m a latecomer to this series. I just finished it last month in the year 2023. And “Did Inuyasha love Kikyo more or Kagome more?” is sort of a weird debate for me.
Because it’s sort of implying that “love” could be quantified or something. Like it’s something you can point your finger at and count. But from my, ahem seasoned expertise, that’s not how it works.
So I want to look at it in a different way.
Let’s get it straight. Love is not quantifiable. Inuyasha loved both Kikyo and Kagome the best way he knew how. He was genuine about both of them. His feelings were earnest and true.
But you can’t deny his love somehow feels… different between the two of them.
So what is it? What is this difference?…

My boyfriend was on the phone with his dad yesterday so I went out to sit on the patio to pet the geese and play on my phone for a bit, and while out there I came across a comic of baby Grimace (yes, that Grimace) being sad because everyone hated his milkshake and saying he wished he never had a birthday. Then there was a follow up where tons of people had commented saying they loved the shake and wished Grimace a happy birthday, and that made him happy again.
This, for whatever reason, emotionally devastated me. I was sobbing. I was ugly crying so bad that even the geese waddled away side-eyeing me.
After a while my bf yelled from inside, "Okay, you ready for dinner?" and I was forced to accept I had to go back in the house a defeated sniffly little wreck.
My boyfriend, who has only ever seen me cry once in the whole year we've been together, looked horrorstruck. He assumed the worst. Someone got hurt. Something was wrong with my family. Someone was mean to me (a cardinal sin). The panic that washed over his face was unparalleled.
He, upon seeing me, (somewhat theatrically) rushed over and grabbed me by the shoulders. "What's wrong, what happened? Are you okay?" he asked, frantic. "What is it?"
I realized how ridiculous the whole situation was and just shook my head.
He was growing more panicked. "What is it? Why are you crying?"
I then had to stand there and look him, this completely normal human being, in the eyes, and blurt out "Grimace"
Confused silence followed.
"....Grimace?"
I nodded.
"...The McDonalds guy...thing?"
I nodded.
"What...what did...Grimace...do to you?"
I then tearfully recounted the silly internet comic that had absolutely broken my heart. And this poor guy--this poor, wonderfully sweet, nice, patient guy--kindly stood there trying to figure out how to comfort me that Grimace was not, in fact, sad. (Nevermind that he's a corporate mascot who isn't real)
This morning my phone rang just after 5am. It was my boyfriend. It was my turn to panic, to assume the worst.
I didn't even have time to say hello before he started excitedly yelling, "Look at the TikTok I just sent you! Look! Open it!"
Confused and not entirely convinced I wasn't still asleep, I opened the TikTok.
An official release from McDonalds confirming Grimace (who still isn't real) did, in fact, feel special on his birthday.

A Clash of Kings by George RR Martin. This is book 2 in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. I really loved the Game of Thrones show (minus the disaster that was the last season or two 😂) and I’m loving the House of the Dragon show. Have recently finished the first book in the series as well as Fire & Blood (the history of the Targaryen’s from Aegon’s Conquest to the end of the Dance of Dragons), The World of Ice and Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms/Tales of Dunk and Egg
Currently watching:
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is an anime about a guy who is reincarnated into a new world with all of his previous knowledge and memories intact. Can be pretty pervy (MC was a virgin adult when he died in the real world) but when it’s not trying to be weird it is soooo good
Fairy Tail is an anime (probably considered old now 😭) about a guild of wizards and their adventures and shenanigans. It’s really a very fun watch

Been playing the hell out of Story of Seasons for the 3ds and the new Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on Switch (and is a remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life). Also just started playing Valheim for the first time and feel like it may end up being a small-scale obsession on its own 😁

women in classical video games (selected essays) which I’m thoroughly enjoying! Though I do get the sense that some of the scholars aren’t seeing games in series as linked which means I think they sometimes miss points

Salvation which I’m really enjoying so far!! The three main characters are really compelling though it’s only got two series so I know I’m gonna miss it when I’m finished

Decided I missed my old Story of Seasons game and unpacked everything I needed to get to play it again 🥲
Starting fresh, I probably don’t remember how to play this game efficiently, but I’m just gonna take my time, enjoy it, and eventually marry the cute restaurant owner from town 😁
