Here's a stevetony fic that I've read and reread so many times, I had to recommend it. Pretty sure I reread it for the hundredth time last month and I just finished rereading it again lol, but that's how good it is. Good isnt even the right word, it's fantastic, completely.

Post-CW 616 crossover with Noir, a fun romp with feels and happy endings and love. It's definitely one of my ultimate favorites.

“We have to find him.” Clint is pacing, tightly-leashed energy through the crisp lines of Tony’s lab. The last place he was seen.

“I know that,” Steve sounds his age, old and exhausted as he hunches over in Tony’s ergonomic work chair and any other time Natasha would be worried, a concern that she’d show with a look and a quirked eyebrow, but this is bigger than Steve, bigger than Clint, bigger than all of them, because Tony is gone, and she stays where she is, leaning against a wall and watching the scene with sharp eyes.

They’re all there, the old team, against all odds, and it’s almost like it was, once, when they’d gather in the lab to accept the new weapons he’d made for them, love poured into every gear. But now Thor seems small on the ratty couch, his knuckles white around Mjolnir’s handle, and now Bruce is breathing slow and deep and his eyes are closed but green, and Rhodey is collapsed in a chair, his features drawn tight in pain more than physical, and now Tony isn’t here, and now Natasha doesn’t know what to do.

There’s a sudden crackle of static. “Friday?” Bruce says, but Natasha strides across the room to the source of the sound. It’s a sleek tablet, innocuous in a lab full of wonders, but when she picks it up, there’s another crackle.

“Ah,” a voice, male, lightly accented with something Eastern-European, “have the would-be Avengers noticed someone missing from their ranks?” A laughter, high and insane, and Natasha doesn’t know who they’re dealing with.

She has no times for tricks, and she asks, “who are you?”

The man ignores her, maybe can’t hear her. “Oh, but you don’t have much ranks at all anymore, do you? No even noticed as I stole away your prized inventor.” The air is thick with tension and Natasha doesn’t mean anyone’s eyes. “Perhaps unity can be restored, though,” the man hums, pondering, then giggles again and he’s a psychopath and Natasha will skin him. “If you can get there in time!”

Then the line clicks off and there are numbers, glowing red on the black screen, coordinates.

They run.

It sounds a little like head to head, but that’s only tony and steve in an alien Colosseum-type situation... Luminosity sounds similar too, and it is more true to the Colosseum part, though that has Jan and Carol and not Nat or Rhodey.... I can’t think of anything else though :v

Looking for a fic. It’s got Tony, Pepper, Steve, Nat, and Rhodey(?) being kidnapped by an alien race and forced to fight in a Colosseum style death matches while they desperately wait for an escape. Anyone know it?

So, I had decided I wanted the fic rec page for a specific reason and then it got lost/I got sidetracked. And it seems kinda silly, this is a fic rec blog, why does it need a page like that too? For me it took away my interest in continuing for a while, bc now I had to do twice the work, and I have adhd so it can be hard for me to stick with something time consuming. Anyway! So one of the possibilities was, the page is a masterlist. Okay, that could maybe work, but why bother? No, that wasn't right. But I just realized what it should be! It will be a page on which you can search for a fic by specific and potentially spoiler-y tags. Mostly this is for when you've read a fic but don't remember the name but you do remember something specific about it. I probably try to avoid tagging fic recs with that kind of content because if you haven't read it and don't like spoilers for fics, it would ruin things. But the fic rec page can also work for people who like to know a basic gist of a story - like me. for me, I feel spoilers can't tell me anything but the bare bones, and they prepare me, but the emotion or the intensity or the careful wording of a scene is stronger than a spoiler and so it doesn't ruin it for me. Or maybe you've read a fic, but you've heard of one like it, or you read two similar fics and you can't remember which is which, now the tags on the search-by-spoiler page help you out (ex: two office aus, one involves a specific scene, another involves a different specific scene, but you can't remember from the summaries/titles which one is which.) So, that's what that page will be for, once I start getting back to work on it. And hopefully I'll get more recs on the blog soon, too. I have a whole lot of fics I've enjoyed recently, it's just the getting it all together that's the hard part ^^;
