Trans Dysphoria

Sometimes dysphoria isn't just the thought of "I belong in a different body". It's wondering why your birthname doesn't feel quite right to you, like it was meant for someone else. It's being too scared to tell your teachers and classmates about your preferred name/pronouns. It's changing your preferred name in the school system praying your parents wouldn't find out. It's the anger and the disappointment of getting out the shower and looking in the mirror and realizing you're still in the same body. It's embracing your deadname at home, even if you feel uncomfortable with doing so because you don't want to cause family drama (and if you have younger family members they wouldn't understand) it's the sheer urge to scream/yell at your family members and beg for them to support your transition. It's the hope that one day all the hell you've gone through will be worth it.

I never even thought about myself being ace, although I heard of it before as a label. That WAS however until i started honing in on myself and I realize all the signs made sense... I am:

Thinks relationships are too much work (romantically) but wants to keep platonic relationships

Loves animals more than humans (sometimes)

Soulmates and Aces and relationships in general

I've heard a lot of people talking about soulmates/having relationships etc. and to be quite frankly honest, I DO believe in soulmates and love, but as an Asexual who is sex-indifferent I'm ok with just having a qpr or a relationship without sex or with sex (as long as it's consensual between both parties). Either way I'm ok, and I'm still figuring out how to love myself, because how can you love someone else if you don't love yourself first?

For anyone who is out and proud or still in the closet... for those of my fellow queers who feel very very alone right now, this is just a friendly reminder that it’s  ok to feel this way. Don’t worry, the negative emotions you’re experiencing will pass. Just give it time, and don’t worry! You’ll find people who love and support you just the way you are! They’re out there, I promise.

Shoutout to all queer peeps who have low self-esteem! It’s okay. There are people out there that love you kings, queens, and non-binary beans too. Be confident, and have faith in yourself. I promise that no matter how bad your situation is, that it will get better. Only YOU get to say who you are. Not society.

If they stand behind you, protect them. If they stand beside you, respect them. If they stand against you. Show no mercy.
