Mayaaranyam ( part: 1)
‘…Baul Zigvolt, Lilia Vanrouge, and Yuu of the Mayaaranyam were a triad; one none-not even the most seasoned politicians- foresaw bonding, but bond they did, and through doing so, they saved Briar Valley from the pain of war. They protected our tranquil Valley from facing the indignities of war with humankind, and while many notables figures of the time were dissatisfied with the triad (with the lady Yuu being of mixed descent), the three of them, however, could not be separated due to the almost remarkably instantaneous bonding they had….

Chapter: Love is the death of duty’
(Yuu still argues to this day that 'that book is a gross oversimplification of what I had to go through to snag these two idiots—Baul, don’t look at me like that; you know it’s true!’)
Her general was leading them through the Mayaranyam when they first met.
Yuu was miffed to have been on guard duty that day, but hey, what can a girl do? 'Every elf must serve to protect our motherlands-blah blah’ as quoted by her mentor, and then the token ‘you must drop some of those pounds’ from her dear aunt basically pressured her into putting on her armor that night as she fought of tears of anger, while yes, Yuu was strong and capable ( no one could deny her that); she didn’t look anything like most other nobel girls her age; they were willowy, ethereal and pure blooded elves.
While Yuu, oh,Yuu was mixed, she was tainted , or so her aunt liked to constantly say whenever Yuu had the misfortune of crossing paths with her.Yuu tried not to let it get to her, but some days it was hard not to. On days like today she has a mantra:
‘ I will never be the reason the shieldwall breaks; I train too hard for that.’
Her mantra looped in her mind as she made her way towards her post and it only grew louder as she moved towards a suspicious rustling in the leaves a few hours into her shift.
‘ I will never be the reason the shieldwall breaks; I train too hard for that.’
His Elven Lady nearly killed half his party and himself the first time they met.
Although, to be fair to her, they did attempt to trespass (unintentionally), Lilia had no choice but to take a more hidden path toward the heart of the famed Mayaaranyam. Those pesky human troops were snooping too close to the main path, it seemed that even they, incompetent as they were, found out that the forest of illusions had certain paths that allowed those clever few into it’s heart. It seemed to him then, that the reports of humans trying to secure the Elven King's support were true which only made him hurry his people faster into the woods and to the heart of the place to secure the alliance with the king first. Baul would be most disappointed if he were the reason Malenor removed him from serving as her future hand after all. Lilia himself would be most disappointed in himself if he were bested by the humans in this race.
In his hurry, Lilia forgot to take into account that the path he had chosen to take (while it was indeed the shortest of the hidden routes) led straight to the back entrance of the heartland.
He managed to save his idiot general and the troops from the wrath of his darling Elven Lady in the nick of time that night.
Baul was reviewing the proposal made by Briar Valleys Senate to the Elven king of Mayaaranyam, the largest Elven kingdom that holds up to three quarters of all elves, or so he hears. This alliance could shift the odds of the Faes of Briar Valley winning against the allied human kingdoms. So lost was he in thoughts of victory and the political intrigue of his homeland that he almost missed the figure stalking up to them. Alarm bells rang in his mind when he saw her armor.
A Lady of the guard-an angry lady of the guard.
"Halt! My lady, We come in peace! We come from-”
By the end of that night one of the soldiers had unfortunately already lost a finger and another four were bruised and bleeding before they made it into the heartlands-Lady Yuu apologized of course, but only after scorching his pride with the kind words of advice she gave to him and his party.
(Baul argues to this day that Lilia should've known better, but Lilia simply says all's well that ends well).

Likes: Training with Leila, eating milk drops ( type of sweet) while watching the sunset and her husbands ( sometimes)
Dislikes: Her aunt, her judgy relatives, Bauls mother and politics.
Good at: Politics ( ironic, I know), cooking, annoying Baul, pranking Lilia, dancing and charming people.
Bad at: Writing neatly, intimidating people, timing her humor.

Silver Vanrouge-10 things I hate about you
( one shot) I changed the format up a bit from the Malleus version.
(part of the 100 followers celebration)
Silver was confused at first, you see, he started developing feelings for the Prefect some time ago, he thought nothing of it because crushes came and went for him but as time went by and weeks turned to months.
So, Silver is still confused.
Lilia is amused, his precious boy has found his first love, and sevens is he feeling his age now...Shaking himself out of his reverie, physically,( startling a few students) he smirks as he begins to plot.
A few hours and a traumatizing dinner preparation dinner later, Lilia was ready to set his grand scheme into motion.
Yuu was...surprised? shocked?...Yuu was some variation of that feeling as they were approached by Sebek, who had a bouquet in his hand, and Yuu was appropriately stunned when he loudly asked her out.
The prefect was too stunned to speak, and this was taken as a yes.
Silver was confused and a little...jealous?
No, he should really feel happy, and he does...Somewhat ( Lilia stop looking at the poor boy like that)
So, skipping over two agonizing weeks of Sebek trying ( and failing) to date you, you cracked, demanding an explanation from Lilia ( who was surprised, my you caught on fast!).
This caught Silvers attention, and as he heard his fathers ...master scheme explained, he couldn't decide if he wanted to be angry,surprised or...happy.
You convinced him to stick to happy, so in the end Sebek was in a sense used by Lilia as a foil to Silver, who you decided was the best choice for you despite the trickery involved ( plus the bribing and the awkward dates you had to go through), this family was the one you wanted to belong to. You wanted to belong to Silver.
Okay, I know this is pretty trashy but it is still based off of one person scheming to get two people together using a third party that gets sacrificed to the cause of making one happy couple ( except in this case Sebek doesn't have a love interest for himself).
Also I know this is short and I'm sorry for that but I have a suprise coming up for you ( hint it's about 2.0K words long atm)

part 1
As expected, your endavours were successful!, you had a dragon on your side afterall.
This led to you and Azul becoming good business partners, the problem here, darling yuu, is that the prince of Briar Valley had no idea of this and thought that you saught him out without any prompting.
This led to where you were today.
"Malleus...I have something to tell you, there seems to have been a-"
"Oh! Has the prince finally made his move" cronned Lilia, making Malleus blush and your heart drop to you feet.
Luckily grimm of all...people?...no cats, came to your rescue.
Afterwards, Lilia pulled you aside, at this point you were sure your head would join your heart on the floor now. ( generals are not known to be kind to triclsters)
instead what he said made your head spin.
Lilia arranged this so Malleus couls get closer to you!
so the suffering and the despiration that led to you was their doing, now your blood was boiling.
You hated that you had to go through this
You hated that he thought you could only be approached through these methods.
But still, you decided to give him a chance. On the condition that your dealings with Azul will have no further meddling with from Diasomnia.
Lilia pouted at that, Azul did too but he wouldn't admit it. ( sneaky thing got compensated)
Eventually, even as you fall for him, you decide to distance yourself from him because of the feelings of betrayal that you could get over.
You spent the summer vacation alone.( you were invited ti briar valley)
Skipping to the end of the mundane and ,surprisingly, accident less summer, you find yourself looking forward to meeting Malleus.
Who, by the way is a wealthy prince, gets you two gifts, one that showcases the mentioned wealth and one that speaks of his heart.
and so, presented with the most gorgeous ring you've ever seen and Malleus's GAO GAO dragon, you finally say yes to being his.
ANDD thats a wrap, I'm sorry for the large delay, but I've been pretty sickly for the past few week, with doctors visits and what not.

Jamil: This dish is something that you made!
Yuu: No, it made it self!...Of course I made it you fool!
Jamil: But...I thought....
Yuu: That what? Kalim wouldn't go crazy for anyone else's food because he has yours.
Jamil: ( with a scowl) yes No, I just need the recipe and I'll be on my way becau-
Yuu: ( slamming the door on his face) No.
The context here is that Kalim falls in love with Yuu's dum aloo ( a desi dish that's vegetarian (made of potatoes )) and refuses to eat any of Jamils remakes ( it's nice but it is not the same!). Jamil comes to find out he tried this mystery dish from Yuu's lunch box, which leads us to the present conversation.
