My goal was to retire by 35, I made that goal in December (4mo early), although medically from my service, its worth it as it equates to minimum legal salary for the rest of my life. Point is goal was set and accomplished with focus in mind. (Pre-frame for the rest of this message.) This post is not to brag. This post is for someone who thinks about giving up on life. Or thinks about how hard they have it. Or thinks about anything negative. This post is made to hopefully change the mind of that person and provide some insight that you have full control of your life. TURN A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE. It’s called a “Setback Slingshot” (Realization) Just as those who point the finger, you control the outcome. The same goes for destiny. (Picture) Here was me at 17 graduating a 6month military academy ran marine force recon, army rangers, and navy seals, before joining the US Navy, initially going because I was lost. (Ran with it instead of against it) Top in class + graduated all 3 ways you could possibly graduate high school in California 1. Regular diploma 2. CHSPE 3. GED (The why) Why, because I had the opportunity and was driven. Since then... (Positives:) -2 bachelors + 4 associate degrees -Multiple companies started -Passed SDPD Police Academy and turned job down -Years in the US NAVY graduated first in class -Biz Opportunities presented themselves to do cool shit.( best moment below) (Best moment:) Standing on very top of Disney’s Matterhorn Mountain (one of only a handful of people ever) (Negatives:) -Multiple setbacks that would normally crush or stop someone in their tracks: -6+ best friends passing -Father passing at 13 years old (find my own way) -Challenges with IRS, EDD, FTB and every major entity in US almost. (The result) This is my story. You now know me better than you did before. I had so many times I wanted to give up. To quit. To take the easy route. I didn’t. (The MOTIVATION) I’m a god damn FREIGHT TRAIN cruising at a speed of 100mph. Once the momentum starts going, it’s hard to stop.
