Nelson Piquet saying basically an excuse as an apology. The classic “im sorry you feel that way but i did nothing wrong”

You are a public figure (whether we like it or not) you cant just sit there on record say the N word and walk out like nothing happened just because “im Brazilian”

If you know the word is a derogatory racial slur in most of the countries and our minds dont use it in any context it is as simple as that

Nelson Piquet, the irrelevant three times world champion who never has anything good to say has surprised us once again with his unsavory comments this time using a racial slur towards seventh time world champion Lewis Hamilton. His comments not only comes as unsurprising considering his history of being an arrogant ignorant man and spends his time being a racist snob. He should just retire from the public all together and thank his daughter Kelly due to her being the only reason you hear the Piquet last name in the racing world.

@ialerim like you commented on my post, definitely people like Nelson Piquet are not afraid of being sued. I believe he lives by the quote “all press is good press”. Plus he definitely invests in some very good lawyers because at least 50% of what he says should not be said because its some level disrespectful.

@shelby-1007 (idk why i cant tag) he can’t sue for defamation. We are not making his words up so if he sues unless he has a great lawyer he has more chances of having to pay a fine than anything else.

Also why is the F1 issuing an apology? They should just not allow him to attend races, talk on the sport, be invited to events regarding formula etc. I am tired of these formal apology (that are not even worded correctly). If they are so committed to bringing diversity to the sport and have a “zero tolerance” policy take action just like RB did.

Leaving here what the F1 message should have said

“Regarding Nelson Piquet and his use of a racial slur towards seventh time world champion Lewis Hamilton we would like to express our disgust and disappointment towards these actions. Discriminatory and racist language or behavior will not be tolerated.”

Thats what the message should have at least said. Stop censoring names specially when people do something wrong.

Alonso is a good driver but he isn’t Jesus so calm down. I don’t hate him but his twitter fanbase are completely insane specially going after Checo and saying how he should give his RB seat to him because “Alonso is one of the best drivers of the century”

I highly doubt it, he is good but theres clearly better two of them currently racing this season.

Breaking my hiatus to say this:

I have noticed that the media loves to destroy people and this has become normalized.

We have to remember something specially in this sport that now has become more popular in my opinion, (based on my experience and culture) what we have to remember is why are we watching the sport, why are we here, why we spend Sunday’s and spend 2 hours watching a race when most of us cant even pay a seat to be physically there what moves us to stop our lives over a race and support a team.

My take on Nikita Mazepin

Nikita Mazepin i have never seen a driver that has gotten so much hate from everyone even people who don’t even watch the races.

Big disclaimer before continuing: i am in no way justifying any action Mazepin has done

We all know what he has done and i am one of those people who was against him signing with Haas after his actions, the half assed apology and the lack of consequences from everyone. After all that he has been bullied relentlessly. He kind of got some type of consequence because the rejection he has gotten from the fans and everyone else has been a heavy one.

Even though i am happy that the majority of the people sided against his actions I really want to see a redemption from him. I wish he grows from all of this and becomes a better person but that can’t happen when everyone is pointing at you withhold helping or facing consequences. Help is not getting you out of the situation is helping you face the consequences of your actions. I also hope he grows as a driver because its sad to see someone being the butt of the joke.
