My most watched video on Youtube is
"Guided Meditation To Communicate With Your Deity". It is rather short and suitable for any deity. If you need more time for your conversation with a deity, simply put the recording on pause for as long as you need. Try this meditation if you have already built a relationship with a deity, or are building one.

April 7, 2024 My novella "Dreams of Loki" is now also available as a print. It is about spirituality, modern paganism and the struggles and joys of being queer. The Norse deity Loki plays an important part in it and some of the characters are witches.
🔥 Why did I write this novella? Several times, I heard stories about people who left a conservative or fundamentalist Christian cult or congregation and later explored a pagan path. But I do not know any fiction books which deal with this topic, so I decided to write such a story myself. This is also a devotional work dedicated to Loki. 🔥 The ebook and print on Amazon:
Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B0CZ7G16S5/
Amazon.co.uk: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CZ7G16S5/
Amazon.com.au: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CZ7G16S5/
Also available in all other Amazon shops worldwide.

Facebook group recommendation for Lokeans
March 31, 2024 In case you are on Facebook and would like to be part of an inclusive, queer-friendly group of Lokeans, I can recommend "The Lokean Collective": https://www.facebook.com/groups/Lokeans
Several of the posts there are lighthearted, there is often something funny and many share their UPGs. The group has a good team of admins and mods.

💯This.
What really hurts about religious discourse is how much we all have in common. I know being a Hellenist brings me unfathomable levels of warmth and comfort that I can’t find anywhere else. And I know there are people of other faiths that feel that way with their deities.
There’s so much emphasis on who is “right” or “wrong”, but I don’t believe there’s one truth for everyone. We all have such different lives and paths. The way religion is used as a weapon of hate and not a tool for love and compassion will always sadden me.
I may not personally worship every deity of every religion, but I acknowledge that the feeling of spiritual fulfillment that other religions give people is real. That is enough for me to find love in my heart for them all.
If Allah can bring you that feeling, THATS BEAUTIFUL!! If Jesus can bring you that feeling, THATS BEAUTIFUL!! If any deity of any faith can bring you that feeling….THATS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Personally, I don’t see my religion as an undeniable truth for everyone. I see it as spiritual connection that brings me love and warmth like no other. I know Lady Aphrodite is real in my heart, because I feel her. I can never give you an equation or a fact that proves my feelings, but I know it’s true in my life. How could you look someone in the eyes and tell them they’ll be punished for seeking love and warmth?
I know I’m just rambling, but I just wish we could live in a world where religion wasn’t a competition of who is right, but a way for us to find more beauty and fulfillment in our worlds.

Today, I would like to show you two books that I have read for research for my novella „Dreams of Loki“
„Leaving the Fold: A Guide for Former Fundamentalists and Others Leaving Their Religion“ by Marlene Winell Ph. D. (from 2006)
This is specifically about leaving Christianity and not much is said about changing to a different spiritual path but rather leaving spirituality completely. However, the book is really insightful, it offers a lot of advice about how to get rid of „spiritual baggage“ so to speak and is recommendable in my eyes.
Tumblr media
„Changing Paths“ by Yvonne Aburrow (from 2023)
This book is basically for anybody who is contemplating to change their spiritual path, be it from Christianity to paganism, from paganism to something else or a different kind of spiritual journey. The book offers some theological theories and general thoughts about what spirituality/religion is and why it can be enrich your life. Other topics include reasons for leaving a specific path, religion and gender, ethics and more. There are exercises included, for instance journal prompts and guided meditations. I think this book is recommendable too.
There is just one point I do not agree with. The author emphasizes more than once that it is very important to find a spiritual community and meet like-minded people in person. Of course this can be beneficial, but on the other hand, there are also solitary witches and pagans who explore their spiritual paths by themselves, without a spiritual group or a coven etc. My novella gets published as a ebook on April 1, 2024 (no joke) in all Amazon shops and can be pre-ordered.
The print version will be available on April 7, 2024, also in all Amazon shops.
Here is the book cover and the blurb:

The young lesbian woman Vera leaves a conservative Christian cult, starting a new life in Hamburg. There she must find a place to live and a job. But Vera has an additional problem: in her dreams, a mysterious person appears who finally reveals to be the Norse deity Loki. Vera mistrusts this deity – is this some kind of demon? In Hamburg, Vera gets to know more queer people and also a Norse pagan …
A novella about spirituality, modern paganism and the struggles and joys of being queer. There are also some witches in the story.

New book release: "Dreams of Loki"
I have published a novella, about spirituality, modern paganism and the struggles and joys of being queer: The young lesbian woman Vera leaves a conservative Christian cult, starting a new life in Hamburg.
Why did I write this novella? Several times, I heard stories about people who left a conservative or fundamentalist Christian cult or congregation and later went on a pagan path. But I do not know any fiction books which deal with this topic, so I decided to write such a story myself. This is also a devotional work dedicated to Loki. (Only in German, the English edition of the book will follow soon, I am going to do a different post for that.)

My new guided meditation: The Safe Place is now online on YouTube. It is ca. 7:45 mins long. The safe place is a place which belongs to you alone. You can invite your spirit guides there if you wish, but that is not necessary. This place is meant to give you feelings of comfort and security.
Also as a text in this blog:

Resistance Magic
January 24, 2024 In October 2023, I wrote this blog: "Calling the Fates to Hex Nazis" with a spell.
At the time, I wondered if this kind of resistance magic would be of any use. I have done this prayer and spell several times since then.
I have more hope now about the fight against facism in Germany, as more than 1 million people have taken their protest against facism and right wing extremism to the streets in several cities. And there will be more protest marches again this weekend.
There is also an online protest for people who cannot join the protest marches.
Of course, resistance magic is no substitute for protest marches and activism etc. But it can be added to strengthen these.

Interesting article about esotericism, New Age spirituality, paganism, Wicca, witchcraft and more in Germany and how all of these often get mixed up and are all viewed as antisemitic, right-wing, anti-science etc, without a differentiated view. The article is also available in German, there is a link in the text to the German version.

Today, someone asked an interesting question in a pagan Facebook group. It was about the Norse deity Loki, but I am going to rephrase their question:
"Who do you see your deity in around you? What musicians and actors and artists and writers, directors, etc. make you feel like your deity is trying to connect with you through them?"
That's some food for thought, isn't it? It's especially interesting if you combine aspects of your spiritual practice with pop culture, I think.
