So let’s first go over what Mars and Venus rule in modern astrology

Mars - sex, aggression, war, passion

Now let’s take a look at what significations these two planets have in Hellenistic astrology which is based in ancient cultures and spiritualities like Indian, Greek and middle eastern thousands of years ago before any social constructs were even able to plague our society

Venus - Marriage, Gold, jewelry, Sex, Pregnancy and love of children, pleasure seeking, intimacy, fun, art, wealth, good fortune, socializing, sweets. gets meaning from the 5th house

Mars - Conquest, Enemies, Separation, Abuse Celibacy, Action, War, danger, Injuries, Death, Sickness, Slaves, labor, evil play, hatred, bad fortune. Gets meaning from the 6th house

Now here’s some background as followed….

Modern astrology was invented in the 1900’s so themes of Christianity and Patriarchy had every opportunity before then to instill some of its values into the practice. the REASON why modern astrology keeps associating mars and Scorpio with sex is because Scorpio rules over the genitals but it only rules over the genitals and not sex at all in traditional astrology. We keep associating the planet of conquest that is mars with sex because we have been taught by a patriarchal and puritanical society to view sex as something that should only be done in secret, is hidden and/or otherwise taboo. When you associate the planet of “conquest” mars that is malefic dominant, wrong-doing, unethical, consumes wastefully and against the good will of others with intercourse, sex then sounds like something that’s exploitative and nonconsensual. Let’s imagine mars did rule sex which it objectively does not, rape would then be a huge theme of that. Mars in general does rule assault but there is nothing amorous and consenting about the red planet. You’re probably thinking to yourself “well patriarchy is at minimum 6000 years old” and you’re absolutely right, patriarchal values are really old but many ancient and indigenous societies had faiths and beliefs that transcended these values and this is what ancient astrology draws from.

I often talk with scorpios and mars ruled people who become frustrated every time at the thought of them being hypersexualized because of their sign and just overall not feeling like a sexual person at all so hopefully this brought some confirmation to any of you mars ruled or dominant people out there.

But before I even get into anything, I’m gonna add some books and resources that have shaped my philosophy as an astrologer (and hopefully I can pin this to the top of my page because I’ve been getting so many messages in my absence about where I’ve learned my doctrine)

1. Hellenistic astrology: The study of fate and fortune” by chris Brennan. This book will take you on a historical dive within astrology. You will learn some very useful and yet obscure ancient astrology techniques that kinda temporarily got shoved into oblivion by pop astrology.

2. On the heavenly spheres by Helena Avalar. Reading this book is what really convinced me to throw modern astrology out the window and helped me to see how “not helpful” it was. You will see how much pop astrology kind of alleviates the truth. Only get this book if you’re interested in why I have such a distain for some very questionable mainstream modern astrology information.

3. Astrology and the authentic self by Demetria George. I wanna say that this book was the very first one I read and it doesn’t prioritize the meanings of the signs. When you first get into traditional astrology you’re gonna think it’s so boring because you quickly realize that the signs get their meanings from the planets and not just from themselves. You’ll read things like “Aquarius: enemy of the sun, preferred domicile of saturn” etc. Something to take into consideration is also the amount of daylight and nighttime and that goes on during that signs time of the year, Hellenistic astrologers as I know now take meanings from that as well.

4. Ancient astrology in Theory and Practice: a manual l of traditional techniques. This book is volume one and 2.

5. The house, temples of the sky by Deborah houlding. I wanna say that this woman is my TEACHER and I LOVE this book because this book will introduce you to an ancient perspective of the houses, the very first interpretation of the houses. This book does NOT associate any of the signs with the houses as none of the ancient astrologers did and especially not the valens.

6. The astrology podcast. Go to to YouTube and search up “the astrology podcast planets” and just start writing things down. You can also type in “3 misconceptions of (insert any sign)” and Adam elenbaas will pop up, he is a certified Hellenistic astrology so prepare to learn things about your sign you never knew.

6. The most expensive resource would be to go to astrology school which is 1300$ dollars at nightlightastrology.com and is a whole course. After you get the certificate you can call yourself a “certified Hellenistic astrologer.” if this is your passion and something you wanna be doing in the long term I highly recommend.

I wanna close this post out by saying that Hellenistic astrology is the oldest form of horoscopic astrology, it is the source, the OG and it is where everything we know about astrology today came from. Anything that was taken and misconstrued LITERALLY came from Hellenistic astrology.

In traditional astrology Scorpio is not associated with rebirth, that's Aries because Aries begins at the start of Spring.

Scorpio is the middle of fall where everything is in the process of decay, nothing is being reborn, everything is dying, that's why the Moon is Fallen in Scorpio because the moon is meant to give life to things, it symbolizes the mother, the womb and giving birth so it isn't wise the slightest bit to associate the sign of death with "rebirth."

Thank you love! and well there's 2 things to consider

1. How wide are the orbs of these aspects? the closer to 0, the more potent the energy of that aspect is within your life, any aspect that's not within an orb of 4 I don't review for much consideration.

2. What is the placement of your jupiter? The part of fortune is an Arabic point that's calculated by intersecting lines that are compromised of our big 3 but it is not an astrological body like jupiter so Jupiter is a much more potent indicator of "luck."

Most traditional astrologers don't even use the POF because we have Jupiter, I only mentioned the POF because the way modern astrologers use the POF takes away from jupiter which isn't really fair, if you wanna know know how you can become wealthy, more jovial and overall satisfactory in life, PLEASE look at jupiter and your 11th house. The POF has less to do with luck and more to do with "circumstance." Some circumstances by house placement can be challenging but a happy jupiter In the chart can alleviate this or bring you out of those challenging circumstances. Just because you're experiencing challenges in one area of your life (for example: pof in the 8th) does not mean you're not experiencing some good luck in another area that's making those area of challenges (like jupiter In the 11th house, the 11th house talks about divine intervention) less challenging

I have my pof in the 12th house so for me this can describe challenging fortune but my jupiter is conjunct my descendant/7th house(an angular house) and trining my mars at an orb of 0 alleviating and being able to navigate through those challenges or meeting people who help me through the challenges. I would never tell myself that because i've had a few challenging circumstances in life that i have "bad luck" because having a well aspected POF does not guarantee you won't have challenges in life, the entire chart is still up for review just like having a poorly aspected POF doesn't guarantee you won't experience luck in life because once again the whole chart (and jupiter) is up for consideration.

How to spot an amateur astrologer who's misleading you and doesn't know as much as they're letting on 🤏

Some people that read this are gonna think I'm being toxic or a bit excessive and that's fine, not that what other people think even matters anyways but...I just don't like when ppl are getting scammed and lied to and also because alot of people charge (way more than I do) for readings and it's alot of misinformation that gets around with these readings and money in additional to time is being wasted so I see this as me doing people a favor. I'm going to go over some things only a person who has absolutely no knowledge of astrology beyond social media will do

• they associate the outer planets, neptune, uranus and pluto with the signs aquarius, pisces and scorpio. This is like the most obvious sign and I talk about it so much not just on here and because the outer planets change signs every decade or so, they're generational planets, not personal ones so think long and hard about what "personal" even means and then get back to me. It isn't really fair to assign the signs I listed above to planets that aren't personal and then to assign the rest of the other signs to the inner planets that reveal so much more about our daily lives than the outer ones do, it just seems so elitist to me honestly and overall misleading. The signs themselves literally rule over certain aspects of our life and they get their meaning from their traditional rulers. Aquarius being an outcast ? That comes from saturn not uranus, pisces being spiritual gurus with lots of love to give, that's from jupiter not neptune, Scorpio being a sexual sign that confronts us with our trauma, weaknesses and mortality? That comes from mars 😫

• 90% of their posts begin with "astro observations." This one especially I think is gonna upset some people because it's all you'll run into across astrology Tik tok or like I said even on here and everyone eats it up because they get an ego boost off of these posts that don't offer anything real or helpful in your everyday life but I wanted to say that a lot of these posts are just so surface level from the observations down to the critiques especially since so many speak from a personal place and arent objective enough about it. You'll read things like "moon in the 2nd house can indicate you like savory food" which even if that were true there's so many other things to consider with that placement like what it's aspecting, what sign is it in, is it fallen etc, if they're not elaborating on why and where they read this, it's null and void and they're making up shit as they go like i'm actually ROTFL as I type this 🤣

• they associate the houses with certain signs. Among everything I listed before and after this, this is probably THE most misleading one because I've had so many people come to me thinking that they had an exalted venus because their venus was in the 12th house and I really don't mean to laugh when people tell me this but hearing this did give me one hell of a chuckle ☠️. This idea that the signs have some proximity to the houses (like i mentioned in a previous post) is what created the grounds for people to think pisces is this misguided damsel in distress junkie who has no sense of direction and is more likely to fall victim to a drug habit which is just not true. Having alot of planets In this house is an indicator of partial drug use or habitual however having planets in pisces in NOT, like it's not even similar a little bit 💀💀💀 people keep getting pisces meaning from neptune and the 12th house and it's a mistake westerner astrologers especially Americans continue to make and it plays a role in why astrology is so ridiculed. Just like having personal planets in the 1st house isn't like having planets in aries because the 1st house isn't even the joy of mars, its the joy of mercury which finds exaltation in Virgo. Sounds familiar to you guys?

• they give devised meanings to "empty houses." What I mean by this is when certain people teaching about astrology say things like "having an empty 2nd house means you will struggle with money" or "having an empty 3rd house means your academic performance will be poor." This is not something that they read up about, learned with a teacher or on their own, this is something they're making up as they go. I would never tell a client that "your empty 1st house means you don't exist and lack an identity" because that's just illogical. Empty houses do not mean anything at all lmao. When houses are empty you look at what planet is ruling that house and what house that planet is in to get an idea of how that empty house is being served in the horoscope. It is impossible to have planets in every house and there are going to be at least 2 empty houses in a horoscope

Ps: i'm not looking down on anyone for choosing to believe these things, I used to be like everyone else just learning everything about astrology online instead but if you're anything like me, at some point your curiosity is gonna get the best of you and make you ask these people where they are learning this stuff from, who is their teacher and where are THEY learning these things from, what books do they read, you know what I mean? I just want people to know the truth and who they're learning from. You can continue to believe the things that alot of self proclaimed astrologers teach their audience because i broke through a facade, that's fine but I'm not concerned with "letting people enjoy things" in order to maintain feeding their delusions, the truth is meant to hurt

My next astrology post was gonna be about the chart ruler in astrology but I just saw a tik tok about pisces that received the ugliest laugh from me and so decided that i will be talking about pisces and after closing the casket on a few stereotypes and western astrologers who have absolutely no idea what they're talking about yet charge for readings, I'm gonna hurt some feelings haha 😁...

So let's create a list of the misleading stereotypes that modern astrology have successfully managed to attach to pisces and then i'm going to debunk a few or all in order and I'm going to do this in the most polite way :)

• Ditzy (you might've heard "pisces is debilitated in mercury so it makes sense why pisces aren't the smartest or are 'easily fooled'" WRONGGGGG! In fact, ancient astrologers believed that pisces was in its detriment while in mercury because you can't think properly when you're in love. Venus the planet of love feels the strongest in Pisces, venus is pisces dignified ruler, pisces is the only sign that's dignified in both benefics (Venus, Jupiter) so if you asked me what sign i think is the most in love with love i would say with confidence pisces. This is why often when you hear a pisces talking about something or someone they love they stumble over their words. Contradictory to popular belief, pisces are very intuitive and can spot people trying to take advantage of their giving nature. A person who is intuitive and knows when something is up is not dumb, being both intuitive and gullible is already a contradiction. Saying that a jupiter (planet of wisdom) ruled sign is dumb does not fit the bill or even make sense for that matter. Mercury In sagittarius is debilitated as well but not because sagittarius is stupid, gullible or can't reason but because sagittarius is the jokester and is all about exposing the truth and their delivery is usually harsh which can rub people the wrong way. It's all about the delivery with them, there can be instances of blurting out things at the wrong time, things that would be considered offensive, that doesn't necessarily translate to them being dumb, they're just blunt lol. A good example of this would be nicki minaj

• escapists (the only true one I have actually heard so far but I also think that the stigma around escapism needs be brought to a stop. Pisces is dignified In both benefics so they do not prefer to indulge in things that are meant to discourage them like fear, anger, self doubt and turmoil so in order to keep themselves on their feet they distract themselves with things that are meant to inspire or otherwise entertain them to keep them going. This claim that they get consumed by their fantasies, can't face reality or take decisive action is a myth and stems from this idea that certain aspirations or wish fulfillments are out of reach and too unrealistic to be put into plan. so while everyone else is doing only what's within their reach thinking things can't get any better for them, pisces is dreaming big and this is where people can often confuse delusion with staying optimistic. How wise would it be to call someone "stupid" or "an escapist" because they're choosing to see the bright side of a situation or not succumbing to negative emotions? Not very wise at all right? Out of every zodiac sign I would argue that pisces is the most likely to recover from difficult times Because the benefics always keep them in good spirit

• drug addicts (i just wanna say that if you've ever gotten a paid reading from an astrologer who has said up out their mouth that "pisces is the most suspectible to drug and alcohol abuse," you have been scammed and should request your money back, these astrologers either think that pisces is ruled by neptune or they think having pisces placements is the same as having 12th house placements, ps: it is NOT the same and they CERTAINLY do not make you more artsy, dreamy and whatever other terms ppl use to deem pisces.) the 12th house is where you can see some unhealthy habits and addictions, that is true but once again pisces does not rule over the 12th house nor does pisces get its meaning from this house and anyone that told you otherwise lied 💞

• poor self esteem (I'm not even about to dignify this imbecilic talking point with a lengthy response 💀 if pisces was a sign with poor self esteem, the sign wouldn't be comfortable in the planet that literally rules over our values and self esteem, 'venus' lol)

• compulsively lie ( one more attribute that came from neptune. I'm not gonna say pisces is perfect but alot of these stereotypes aren't really aligning with jupiterian and Venusian energy) you wouldn't lie to a person that you truly love (venus) and you wouldn't be able to easily fool someone who is wise(Jupiter) does that make better sense to yall??) Why do you think it makes sense for a zodiac sign that's notorious for their contempt of lies and deceit(Scorpio) to be compatible with a sign that modern astrology famously dubs as "liars" that doesn't make sense either does it? Of course not, cause it's not true lmao, every sign is capable of lying.

Summary: Once you register through your mind that there is no connection between pisces and neptune in astrology, everything that you've learned about pisces through western astrology and their antics automatically vanishes or becomes null and void. There is (and ima highlight 'no' in bold just so yall know how serious i am) NO reason to believe that the oldest sign of the zodiac on record pisces is gullible, stupid, a liar or any of the things I mentioned in the bulletpoints. The infantalizing of pisces in astrology MUST stop and I will do everything my power to make sure it does and that this knowledge reaches everyone, *mic drop*

Money in astrology can be much better understood by observing the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th house, so let's talk about it (look below for more info)

I won't go into detail about what the planets mean in each of these houses just yet because I want everyone to have a run-down first of what the houses MEAN for that planet, what can that house do for that planet? The house can support the planet just as well as the planet can support that house

2nd - in ancient astrology this house does not get its meaning from taurus or Venus, that was a lie that westerners ran with. Despite very popular claims this house doesn't talk about wealth, it talks about survival, it talks about things that you need to manage your livelihood, possessions like jewelry, clothes, etc. You can have alot of these things but it does not mean you are wealthy, it just means you are a hoarder or otherwise able to manage and stay just above water with your finances, have a stable income. Money in this house is meant to support you and yourself only because it follows after the 1st house(self), it is not necessarily the money you redistribute among other people, it is the money that you spend at your own expense, ex: venus here does not necessarily mean you or your spouse are rich like an 8th or 11th house venus would but you have a spouse or a lover who provides all the things you need to survive or maybe you don't have to work hard to keep your livelihood, for a woman this can mean being a stay at home wife

5th - this house is the joy of venus and talks about money made from risk, gambling, contests, lotteries and your talent . It is generally recommended to have either a strong 5th house ruler or planets such as venus, jupiter, the ruler of your 1st house, the POF or the NN in this house to make generous profit from your hobbies. Beyoncé has her 5th house ruler (saturn) exalted in libra and conjunct jupiter, her family would describe that from a kid she'd charge people for a performance by her and had won multiple talent contests before fame found her. Any planets here can be a good thing for winning big, even the malefics.

8th - the 8th house comes after the 7th house so this house doesn't actually talk about your money, it talks about the money of others or in this case your spouse cause the 8th house comes after the 7th house which talks about others. This money doesn't truly belong to you until seperation from a spouse like death, it's really the business side of marriage, joined assets etc. When the ruler of this house is in a bad house or receiving some harsh aspects it is recommended to sign a prenup in case of a divorce

11th - this house is the joy of jupiter the greater benefic and actually talks about wealth in liquid money and currency, any planets in this house or an exalted ruler is a very positive sign for enjoying riches in life. With 11th house wealth it is much easier to manage things like generational wealth and massive influence, this house talks about having more than enough to support you and others, its a succedant house that comes after the 10th house, it talks about the fruit of your work, that's why it is often very rare that some of your favorite celebrities won't have planets in this house, the 5th one or a strong ruler attached to these houses. Any planets here will prove their benefits within time. Venus, jupiter, planet that rules the ascendant and ruler of the 2nd or 10th house in the 11th house, all amazing and wealthy combinations

Omg yes and THANK YOU, I've been dying to talk about this for a hot minute 😭😭😭😭 The only true thing I have heard about pluto near the ascendant so far is that it can make a person intimidating without having to make a conscious effort to, it's just a natural thing for them, it's in the stare, the walk, just overall the way they carry themselves, they may not see themselves this way but its there, people can't ignore this about them and what did western astrologers do with this information? They managed to completely turn it into a sexual thing 💀, sex appeal whatever they call it to help people cope with just how intense this placement can get when its literally anything but sexual. Yes pluto near the ascendant, the descendant or MC can make people obsessed with you but it's not really the healthy type of obsession that you would get with Sun, Venus or jupiter near these angles. Obsession can mean many things like wanting to look like this person, wanting to model yourself after them, viewing them as a beacon of light (Sun and Venus) or always trusting this person's word, following everything that they do, their morals, their values or belief systems, cult like behavior (Jupiter) and then there's obsession that's just borderline weird/dangerous and uncalled for like stalking, picking fights with a person, having unprovoked animosity for a person, being mad at a person and not being able to pin down or describe the reason why (pluto.) that's all what pluto obsession is about, that's why ppl with pluto near the IC(which isnt really about you but talks about your roots, where you come from, deacribes your family) come from families who were secretly jealous of or otherwise hated them for reasons that aren't known, or are the cause of their trauma, fear and undoing, aspects to other planets would color how this plays out. Pluto is more of a "hater" type of energy, you're not sexually attracted to the people you hate, that's just not realistic. If you wanna observe sex or sex appeal or just anything NSFW related in astrology I strongly advise to look at Venus(for women) and Mars (for men), the aspects and by house, and also observe the 5th house (not the 8th house because that house isn't sexual either and only talks about death, inheritances and the business side of marriage, one more thing western astrologers lied about LMFAO 😭)
