Huntlow shitpost:
Afrer spending two years in the Human Realm, Willow and Hunter begin to date. However, he keeps his grimwalker secret to himself. After Luz nearly lets it slip out for Hunter's wellbeing, Willow is angered that he keeps a huge secret about his identity from her. The couple have their first heated argument, while discovering some new things about their relationship.
ooo
"Hunter, you need to talk to me!" Willow snapped as she shoved him inside of Luz's bedroom.
Hunter, truly, had never felt this powerless. He wasn't a magic-user back on the Isles, but even then, he had his ways. Now, on the Human Realm, where everything magic-related was dim, he felt… well, human. And now, he was about to face Willow Park alone. Was this how humans felt when facing their partner? No magic or escape to rely on?
"I can't!" Hunter growled back, his own frustration beginning to boil. "I just can't, Willow!"
"What's so secret that you can't tell me?!"
"A lot of things! I need to handle this on my own! You can't know!"
Willow buried her hands in her face, and Hunter uneasily rolled on the balls of his feet. She began pacing around the room in an obvious attempt to cool down, and he ran his hand through his hair.
"There is no such thing as alone in a relationship! There's independence, yes, but when you purposely shun out your girlfriend over a problem she too is involved in, there is a problem, Hunter!"
He sighed. "Willow, I'm sorry. But this is something I can't let you know about me."
He made his way towards the exit, and Willow growled.
"Take one more step, and consider us done, Hunter." she called out, her voice wavering.
His heart stopped, and he slowly ruined around. "What are you talking about?"
Willow looked down. "Hunter, I cannot be with someone who isn't open with me! You clearly have some underlying issues with yourself, and unless you let me help you through them… I don't see this going anywhere." she said sadly.
Hunter crossed the room to meet her, and immediately cupped her face. He kissed her fiercely, and he could feel her beginning to tear up. He brushed away her tears with his thumb, and rested his forehead against hers.
"Hunter." she sighed.
"I'm sorry, Willow… I just… it's hard for me! You need to understand that."
Willow tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "I do, Hunter, and if I didn't know, I wouldn't be pushing this hard to get you to open up!"
He sat down on the bed. "I know."
"When you ask to date someone, you don't agree on dating just one aspect about them. You don't get lovey-dovey Willow 24/7," she muttered, taking a seat next to him. "You get different versions of me! But if you don't bother to talk, why are you in a relationship at all? We can't be happy and in-love all the time. There are going to be bumps on the road. But, if you're going to invite problems by not communicating, then why waste your time?"
Hunter was alarmed. "Because I love you, Willow." he deadpanned.
She looked down, and he placed two fingers underneath her chin, tilting her head up to face him. "Will," he murmured slowly. "You know I love you, r-right?"
Willow gazed at him with tear-brimmed eyes. "Then prove it."
Hunter pinned her down against the mattress, and hefted her leg over his torso. She blushed at how intimate the position was, and kissed him. Yes, they were in the middle of a fight, but if this was the gateway to get him to finally open up, then she allowed it.
After his sudden show of passion, he laid down next to her, drawing patterns against her palm.
"I'm a Grimwalker." he said plainly.
Willow raised an eyebrow. "Okay? Now tell me the huge secret."
Hunter frowned. "Err… that was the huge secret, Captain."
Willow sat up to face him, and burst out laughing. "That's it?!" she managed in between fits of giggles.
His ears burned and he quickly grew annoyed. "Yes."
Willow propped herself up on her elbows, and glared at him playfully. "I cannot believe I was giving you the option to break up with me over that. You're an idiot!"
A heavy weight was lifted off of his chest as he slowly smiled, and laughed along with his girlfriend.
"I'm sorry for laughing. Hunter, there's nothing wrong with it."
"I'm not a witch."
"Yeah, you're not."
He frowned.
"You're half-a-witch. Like me. And two halves make a whole, remember? You're stuck with me, Hunter. Whether you like it or not."
Tears brimmed his own eyes, and Willow wiped them away. She hugged him, and he buried his face in her chest.
"How did I ever land an incredible woman like you?" he murmured.
"For being your annoying self," she snorted. "I'm the one who got lucky. I've got this strong, independent, angry jerk who loves me."
He pulled a face. "And I've got an ambitious, caring, entitled brat who loves me back more than anything."
They held each other's glare before bursting out into laughter.
"Now, about that kiss," Willow grinned, crawling over him. "Where did that energy come from?"
He sat up and slid off his shirt. "Out of love for you, Captain."
Willow pinned him down. "So prove it."
