Can you create a post with different words used in each dialect? For example, like gjalpë vs tlyn and pastaj vs masanej.
I'm sorry for the late reply but I've been really busy lately and decided to put my blog on a hiatus. I'll probably make a post if i find some time to but meanwhile there's already a similar post here.

Hello everyone,
When setting up this blog I had one goal on my mind and that was to use it only for educational purposes and trying to avoid politics at any cost.
However, there’s been so much going on around the world so I decided to write this post. As a white person living in a white-dominated country, I’ll never be able to truly understand what black people (or even other races and minorities) go through, and I’ll never experience racism. I hope every white person reading this realizes that. A white person should never tell a person of any other race what is racist or not. Instead we should support every oppressed individual by this system that privileges us.
I wanted to speak up about my support on the black lives matter movement and wanted to assure everyone who follows this blog that this is a safe zone for every race, ethnicity, sexuality. If you’re ever struggling, this is a place you can turn to.
This is a webpage where you can educate yourself about BLM, learn more about the history of the black community and donate to the BLM and especially help black people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The people in Yemen are facing the world worst humanitarian crisis. The war has damaged infrastructure including hospitals and the health system is unable to access basic needs. This is happening during a time where the country is facing the overlapping effect of the coronavirus pandemic, the cholera epidemic.
You can donate here to help end poverty and famine in Yemen.
Right now there are more than 3 million Uyghur Muslims put in concentration camps in Xinjiang, China. The Chinese government is targeting Muslims through a campaign of torture, forcing them to disown their religion. They’re forced to eat pork, drink alcohol and denounce themselves as Muslims. Women are forcefully being married with other Chinese men. 10-30% of the Uyghur muslims are put in concentration camps.
Here’s how you can help.
Israel is occupying and colonizing Palestinian land, discriminating against Palestinian citizens of Israel and denying Palestinian refugees the right to return to their homes. The Junk Terror Bill, a bill that vaguely defines terrorism is about to be approved by the Philippine government. In this century, there’s still slave trades going on in Libya.
Here’s a link that contains more information about what’s going on around the world and how you can help.
Sexual abuse towards minors has been a big issue in Albania lately. More and more cases of abuse towards minors have been brought to light, such as the case of a 15 years old girl being abused by her school guardian or the girl being abused by someone who worked in the orphanage she grew up in and a police officer, when she went to speak up on the crimes happening in that orphanage.
Here’s a petition that requires a public sex offender registry in Albania.
Sharing these, I’m fully aware that simply signing petitions does not necessarily change things. However, this is a way to give a voice to everyone who can’t speak up. Please donate and most importantly, constantly educate yourselves. Be safe, wear a mask every time you go out, wash your hands and use hand sanitizer, respect social distancing.

What are the different ways to say ”but”, ”and” and ”or” and in which ways/contexts do you use which? Vec, po, por, ose, apo, amo etc?
I made a post about it here. Sorry for being late.

Conjunction part 1/2 (Lidhëzat) (Grammar)
A conjunction is a part of speech that connects words, phrases, or clauses that are called the conjuncts of the conjunctions. In general, a conjunction is an invariable grammatical particle and it may or may not stand between the items conjoined.
Classifying conjunctions
We can classify conjunctions in three large categories depending on:
* Their origin
1. Lidhëza të parme* - they don't originate from another word. Such conjunctions are: apo, as, e, edhe, dhe, në, o, ose, po, por.
2. Lidhëza jo të parme - they're separated in three other groups:
2.1. Lidhëza tw formuara nga pjesë të tjera të ligjeratës ( Conjunctions formed from other parts of speech). Example : from pronouns: që, sa, se. from adverbs: ku, kur, nga, tek, ect.
2.2. Lidhëza të përngjitura(Fused Conjuctions) - Conjunctions formed from unifying two other conjunctions. Example: posa (po+sa), sesa (se+sa), teksa (tek+sa), qëkurse (që + kur + se), meqë (me + që), ndërsa (ndër + sa), ect.
2.3. Shprehje lidhëzore (Conjuctive expressions). Example: në qoftë se, me qëllim që, edhe pse, jo vetëm ë, ect.
*Their morphologic structure:
1. Lidhëzat e thjeshta (simple conjunctions) - one morpheme (apo, as, dhe, por ect.) (Note: Lidhëzat e thjeshta = lidhëzat e parme + lidhëzat e formuara me bashkim (konversion))
2. Lidhëzat e përngjitura (Fused conjunctions) - made from unifying two or more different words (derisa, porsa, kurse, megjithëse ect.)
3. Shprehjet lidhëzore (Conjunctive expressions) - made joining two or more words, that together work as a conjunction (në qoftë se, me qëllim që, edhe pse, ect.)
* Based on their syntax function:
1. Lidhëza bashkërenditëse (coordinate conjunctions) - they create an equal relationship between two words or two phrases. They can be written as two different sentences. Example:
1.1. Connecting two words:
Dritani dhe Diana gatuajnë.  (Dritan and Diana cook.)
Dritani gatuan. Diana gatuan. (Drian cooks. Diana cooks.)
1.2. Connecting two phrases.
(Unë) Do të bëj detyrat dhe do të marr notë të mirë. (I'll do the homework and i'll get a good grade.) (
(Unë) Do të bëj detyrat. (Unë) do të marr notë të mirë. (I'll do the homework. I'll get a good grade.)
Note:usually when talking about yourself or someone in Albanian, the pronouns (unë/ti/ai/ajo/ne/ju/ata/ato) aren't really used since it's assumed that the listener knows who are you talking about based on the context, the verbs used ect.)
LIDHЁZAT BASHKЁRENDITëSE
(Note:Pretty much, the conjuctions mentioned on the same category have the same/similar meanings)
1. Lidhëzat shtuese (Conjunctions used to add) - e, dhe, edhe, as, si... ashtu dhe
Examples:
* Unë e ti jemi në të njëjtin grup. (e and dhe are practically the same thing, but dhe is more commonly used. They're the same as 'and' in English.)
Translation: Me and you are on the same group.
* Edhe Sara është në të njëjtin grup me ne. (edhe is similar to e/dhe but it has the 'that too' context. So you want to say that something too is doing the same thing as something else.)
Translation: Sara too, is on the same group as us.
* As unë se kisha bërë detyrën. (It is used to say that something too isn't doing something that something else didn't do.)
Translation: I didn't do the homework either. (In this case: I didn't do the homework just like someone else didn't do it either. Neither of us did the homework.)
* si... ashtu dhe (It refers to including someone/something to a certain group)
2.Lidhëzat veçuese (Conjuctions used to separate) - a,apo, ose, qoftç,ect.
Examples:
* Apo (Usually used to separate two things that usually contradict each other, as in if you choose one you can't choose the other (example: to be or not to be, to go or not to go, did someone do something or did someone else do it ect.)
Jam me dy mendje, të shkoj apo mos të shkoj. (Translation: I don't know yet, if I should go or not.) (Note:"Jam me dy mendje" is a phrase used to say that you haven't made up your mind yet and you have to choose between two things. The literal translation would be "I have two minds" but that doesn't make much sense.)
Ti e bëre këtë apo e bëri Besa? (Translation: Did you do this or did Besa do it?)
* Ose (Usually used to separate two things that fall in the same group of things and you have to choose one from the two)
Nuk e kam parë akoma filmin, besoj se do iki nesër në kinema me Besën ose Sarën. (Translation: I haven't watched the movie yet, I believe I'll go to the cinema tomorrow with Besa or Sara.)
Important:
If you look at the second example of using 'apo' you'll notice that we're practically using 'apo' to separate between two people, just like we did on the example for 'ose'. So how can you know which one to choose? Well, as mentioned beforehand if two things are in the same category as in two people, two objects, two animals, ose is usually used. However you can replace 'apo' with 'ose' in the first example we used 'apo'. There's also 'ose ... ose' which can be used in the same context. Example: Ose do vij, ose s'do vij. (Translation: I'll either come or won't come.)
You can pretty much use 'ose' in every sentence you can use 'apo' except in questions. Saying 'Ti e bëre këtë ose e bëri Besa?' wouldn't be correct since 'ose' cannot be used in questions and is usually used in affirmative sentences.
3. Lidhëzat kundërshtuese(Conjuctions that contradict) - kurse, megjithatë, mirëpo, ndërsa, teksa, por, ect.
Examples:
*Kurse (Usually used to say that someone did something while someone else did something that contradicts it or to say that someone did something for some time and then did something else that usually contradicts what he did before.)
Kishin studiuar shumë gjatë javës, kurse në fundjavë vendosën të pushonin. (Translation: They had studied a lot during the week,  and on the weekend they decided to rest)
Unë vajta në shtëpi kurse pjesa tjetër e klasës panë një shfaqje. (Translation : I went home while the others in the class watched a show.)
* Megjithatë (Used to say that despite something happened that did not prevent something else from happening)
Pati një konflikt midis aktorëve dhe regjisorit megjithatë filmi u realizua me sukses. (Translation: There was a conflict between the actors and the producter, but still the movie was successfully realized.)
*Mirëpo (Same use as megjithatë but this specifically highlights the second action rather than the first one.)
Të gjithë ishin larguar, mirëpo ai ende nuk bindej të ikte. (Translation: Everyone left, but he still did not want to leave.)
* Ndërsa (Used to say that while someone is doing/did something, someone else is doing/did something else.)
Unë po pikturoj ndërsa ti po shkruan. (I'm painting while you're writing.)
*Teksa (Used to say that while something is/was happening, something else occurs/occurred too.)
Teksa po pastroja shtëpinë dëgjova disa hapa në katin e sipërm të saj. (Translation: While I was cleaning the house, I heard a few steps on the floor above.)
Mund  të lash enët teksa dëgjon muzikë. (Translation: You can wash the dishes while you listen to music.)
* Por (but)
Unë isha përgatitur për prezantimin por mësuesja nuk më dëgjoi. (Translation: I was prepared for  the presentation but the teacher did not listen to me.)
Lidhezat permbyllese (Conjuctions used to explain the reason something happened) - andaj, ndaj,pa,pra, prandaj, domethene
* Iu duk rrugë e gjatë, ndaj vendosi të mos shkonte në ekskursion. (Translation: (He/she) thought the trip was too long, so he decided not to go to the excursion.)
*  Patën shumë diskutime, prandaj takimi zgjati aq shumë. (Translation: There was a lot of discussions, that's why the meeting lasted that much.)

hey friends!! a lot of you ask me for tips on things all the time + this is just some really good advice i’ve learnt throughout my years of being a student shared with you:
revision
study frequently so when exams/tests come by you only need to revise your shorter notes [you will thank yourself later]
i know it’s tedious but try to always do your homework [it’ll help you in the long run]
do your readings before class, this will help you understand better!!
use time wisely, for example study on the bus on the way to school [i really like doing this]
teach yourself material by giving lessons to soft toys or maybe using actual tools found in your household [i like using this method particularly for biology especially with water]
if you have to read to revise, read aloud
record yourself to be able to listen later when on the bus or something [i like doing this with poetry]
make sure to always get enough sleep, it’s not worth it losing sleep over studying! [also i find it better to wake up a little early to revise than sleep late]
incense works wonders if you’re trying to calm yourself down whilst studying
keep a hot beverage around when you’re studying + reward yourself by drinking a little bit of it when you want to
get rid of distractions while you’re studying, put your phone on flight mode or leave it to charge somewhere
if music doesn’t hinder your attention span, then listen to it whilst studying/doing homework [i suggest classical music/coffee shop noises/rain sounds] ~ [my spotify playlist // classical favourites // get ur studying on // flourishment]
watch videos on a particular topic before you cover it in class
if your syllabuses are available online, download them + print them out
have an organised desk, it helps you feel less stressed
use the pomodoro technique to study
make sure you have good lighting
work out past exam papers if they’re available to you, these are really good practice for your exam!
talk to your teachers during their office hours if you need to, that’s what they’re there for
if you’re too afraid to do the latter, send them an email when you need them!
have different files for every subject to keep you organised
don’t neglect any subject- just give them the time they need + prioritise
use a planner/bullet journal to help you plan your week
school stuff
smile at people, you have no idea how much it could brighten their day [plus your smile is great!!!]
always keep a water bottle handy
make your school lunch in the evening so you can sleep a bit more in the morning + not spend your money on school lunches
always take your headphones + charger to school [if they’re allowed]
keep some emergency money or something in your pencil case, you never know when you might need them!
if you menstruate make sure to keep a bag with stuff for when you’re menstruating [if not for you, maybe your friends may need something too]
take naps on the bus if the journey is long [make sure you don’t sleep + end up on the other side of the city/country]
if you have free lessons, utilise them! do your work at school if it can be done there so you are able to study/relax at home!
always take a book with you to school just in case you ever get bored
go to a guidance counselour if you need one [they can help with practically anything you may need!]

take pictures, lots of them!!! not just for instagram or something, they’re actually a really great memory
don’t forget to visit your relatives every now and then
watch the news/read articles to help you stay in touch with the real world
don’t worry so much about social media honestly from experience, it’s trivial anyway. indulge yourself in the real world + spend time with family and friends!!
don’t compare yourself to others, you’re not them + they are not you!
try to get some exercise done, even if it’s just using the stairs instead of a lift or dancing around in your room

Controversial topics about my country!!!
As some of you might now, I live in a pretty damn Balkan Eastern European country that is pretty misogynistic, homophobic etc etc….
-ABORTION We all are shocked now about USA anti-“pro-life” propaganda these recent days…Thank God in Albania abortions are legal for some several reasons that the poorest states of America (like Alabama) are failing to actually understand!  1) POOR EDUCATION!!! Poor education means high illiteracy rates followed by low average income (Albanian’s average monthly wage is around 200-300 euros). Poor education also means incest, rape and unprotected sex! Yes, our rates on these are pretty high! I got friends whose moms and/or themselves work at maternity centers/hospitals and they say the average of teenage pregnancies are too damn high and a good part of them end up in abortion, specifically or if possible in other cities so nobody specially their parents won’t see them to “publicly shame on them somehow”, simply because falling pregnant at a very young age is also humiliating to their parents and if they found out those girls better commit suicide rather than being actually killed by their fathers or bigger brothers!!! Rarely these girls get the support of their own family tbh and specifically if these girls are from the rural parts of the country. This happens mainly because a girl should be married first and give birth later, and in most scenarios this is because of unprotected sex due to their partners being total assholes for refusing to use protection and most of the cases later dumping them!  2) Health risks for mother or kid! These were the cases that were tolerated even back during communism (also rape and incest were part of the exclusion at that time), but even then there would be a lot where women would fake illnesses to want a pregnancy terminated for sorely their personal reasons. (At least they’d better fake documents at a very trusted person or they could easily face Spaç, the Albanian Gulag, cause spies were fucking everywhere!) And “yes” there could be complications that show up after the 5th month.  3) THE GENDER OF THE KID! Being a very misogynistic country aborting simply because the upcoming child is a girl will push wives by their husbands to commit an UNWANTED ABORTION! This is by far the most controversial and this is the only reason that should be banned by law if you ask me! Thankfully abortions cost less than 200 euros. And to all those “pro-lifers”: You really are pro-life but if the kid dies within the next 3 years by the poor life conditions don’t @ me cause ya all the real anti-lifers! Or lets say that those kids end up in an orphanage where in most cases the conditions are equally as bad as if their biological mothers would keep ‘em, specially in poor countries most kids in orphanages are malnourished, psychologically and physically abused by the people who work in those orphanages or by their older fellows! (I can not even count the amount of the cases we had here and most are within the last 3 years!) “If are a pro-lifer then you better want a life with quality not with the guaranteed fear of abuse and death!!!”
-LGBTQ RIGHTS Not the most welcomed country for the LGBTQ community, I see actors and politicians being openly homophobic and swearing to kill their own sons if they found out they were gay, live on TV programs! However the more educated and informed the common society gets the better for the community! Here you got a source for more info into this topic if interested! Thankfully we are progressing into this topic and we got 17th of May on 2014 as the 1st LGBTQ pride and since then held every year! (Currently speaking we have some exchange students from Spain that are gay and one of them has cried for having a very good time here and being accepted from his fellow students and my father, who is his teacher and if not actually the only one of the teachers to truly accept him for whom he is rather than in his home where he is very badly treated by his teachers simply because he is gay and drags!) However we also got a kind of “transgender” culture that is more of an old tradition in rural parts of Northern Albania, practiced under the “Kanun of Lek Dukagjini/Rules of Lek Dukagjini” (check on internet about this one, is a very interesting topic to even study on it if you are a non-Albanian + it will get you to understand the whole old mentality of this country better) the women called “Burrnesha” or else called the “Sworn Virgin” who are the women that take a vow of chastity and wear male clothing in order to live as men in patriarchal northern Albanian society, cause due to the family not having any sons therefore they’d become “the sons their family never had” keep their childhood surnames and inherit the family properties. There is also a whole National Geographic Taboo series episode dedicated on this topic + a lot of documentaries for you to check out! In this patriarchal country is basically more acceptable if a woman condones with the life of a man than a boy with a woman’s. Notable is one of the best live-on-air TV programs “wrecks” was when a transgender got asked by the dumb ass hostess what kind of community she represents and her respond was “I represent the community of women!” and the host went by in a very pushing way “but you are a different kind of a woman it should be something more or else…” and the other ones interrupts “…let me take is this way honey, just because you are blonde you represent the community of blondes?” and the host says in a thinking way “…mmm yes, actually, yes!” This scene became one of the best memes against the illiteracy of that particular TV hostess whom is known to make stupid questions and totally out of place comments + a boom against most of those so called journalists that have and are filling our media courses full of unprofessionalism, lies and trash content! “Your genitalia preferences are none of my business and shouldn’t be anybody’s! What matters is your character!”
-WOMEN RIGHTS Believe it on not Albania allowed women to vote before Italy, staring in 1920 and gaining full rights of voting in 1945! The very 1st feminist movement was started leaded by Urani Rumbo (who happens to be from the same city as me, Gjirokastra) who promoted woman’s emancipation by publishing the newspaper “Drita” (light in Albanian) and protesting in 1923 so girls could get high-school education! It is known though that actually the Tosk part (Southern part of Albania) was always more matriarchal compared to the patriarchal Geg part (Northern part), and women where seen with far more equal rights towards men while in the other part women were seen as objects. However in 1945 Albania became the 1st communist country that actually applied the ideal of gender equality compared to others that were more symbolic rather than actually applied! That system also put a whole ban on pre-arranged marriages, gave them their rights to get a full education, vote and work equally as men did! You finally had female doctors, drivers etc. even mine diggers!!! (When my grandmother had my father she was just 19 and my grandfather, 26 at the time, was begging to her to continue her university studies on economics where she had won a scholarship, but she kept on declining saying she had to raise the kids while he was saying that her mother could do that as she was living with them! Now she regrets not listening to him!) Anyways by the fall of communism in 90′, things got a bit out of control and the “Kanun” (friendly reminder the “Kanun” is basically medieval rules made somewhere in the 1400′ for the rural parts of the north) got back in tracks and a lot women lost their rights not “legally” but “morally” and this being applied till recent days where the law and authorities would actually do nothing on cases of domestic abuse, rape and incest. And as if this is not enough most of these cases are not even reported due to fear from their husbands, relatives or even family for putting a shame on them! Not to even mention some sexist laws that were put the recent years… Though thankfully there are people fighting about that but yet again is a lot to do due to poor education specially mainly in the rural parts which consists around 70% of the country! “There is still a lot to be done!”
-RELIGION Now this one is my fave! Here nobody gives a flying fuck about your faith! Once again the 1st communist country to truly apply the ideology’s terms making us the 1st Atheist country in the world, in the 60′! Sure a lot mosques and churches were demolished, yet the most important ones were preserved (compared to now that only a few are being founded by Turkey, Greece or Vatican regarding on where they apply their interests on, which is totally unacceptable, and most of them aren’t legit ones with real historical values) and a lot of priest and believers where imprisoned (this one wasn’t a fair move tbh), yet it was the best option to finally unify the nation based on nationality rather than on religion that most nations actually do and/or have! If that wasn’t done on the right time Albania would have ended up in a Bosnia of 90′ scenario where people slaughtered each-other for identifying with another religion=nationality! That, cause if religions weren’t banned people would not accept each-other only because of having another faith, not to add the slurs each of them had and still do somehow! This opened up to marriages regardless of religion which is truly an amazing thing and impossible in most of the world! (My mum is Christian Orthodox from her family, my dad Bektashi Muslim from his and it was his choice to baptize me Christian Orthodox… Funny part? None of us is actually a believer!!!) Why still does? After 90′ a lot people, mainly non-Albanians, found free space to mess up with people’s minds and pushing them to become believers of a certain religion for a considerate amount of money in exchange! Believe it or not this still is a very high risk these days using all sorts of forms to brainwash the illiterate part of the society and condone with a lifestyle that is borderline morally and physically illegal or at least should be illegal! Simply because religion is a very personal topic and nobody should push that on anybody in any way possible! However the best part of being a secular state is that you get to celebrate extra vocations!  “In the end of the day Albanians’ real faith is “money and food”… as for the rest we don’t really care as long as we got to celebrate!” XD

Yeah, using Turkish words is included in all Albanian dialects. People who make fun of accents or disrespect people because of their accent are ignorants that don't know how to appreciate culture, diversity and history.
I hope all Albanians from Albania (that speak in dialect), Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece, Montenegro and basically the whole Diaspora know their dialects are beautiful ❤️
What is it with people saying that in Kosova we don’t speak Albanian properly? Did everyone suddenly become an expert on the Albanian language and linguistics? To me the Kosovo dialect (which is not everywhere the same!) is exactly like that of Northern Albania with only some differences. Some people is a forum were claiming that the structure and form of our sentences is like Slavic??? That we have no tenses??? What? They were literally claiming that we only have present tense. Idk where they got that idea. The Kosovar dialect is very rich and expressive omg. I don’t get where they got those ideas. I don’t really know any Slavic languages but I doubt they would affect the way we speak and form sentences. I’m honestly so confused. There were those literally claiming that we “don’t speak Albanian”. Then what tf do we speak?

I'm on a hiatus but I couldn't resist talking about this. Kosovars speak Albanian properly. There were many people that asked me about the dialects in Kosovo and I'll repeat it that they're really similar to the Albanian spoken in Northern Albania.
Kosovo's dialects also use past and future tenses as well not only the present tense.
Most Albanians can understand Kosovo's dialects (only close-minded people that refuse to communicate and learn more about dialects may struggle with it).
In Kosovo there might be more Slavic and Turkish words used, but that does in no way mean that Kosovars don't speak Albanian.
