after months of kate and yelena only watching horror films, yelena randomly suggests they should switch to comedy films and kate teases yelena to no end about her being scared until yelena just says boo and kate hits the floor

yelena and kate decide to buy lightsabers one day to recreate their favourite fights and they have fun until nat randomly walks in their house while kate and yelena are mid fight in film accurate outfits and yelena scrambles to make an excuse why they are like that

kate decides to buy a kite one day when her and yelena are walking the dogs in central park and as they are flying it, yelena mentions how it reminds her of the time she was piloting a foreign satellite and kate isn’t sure if she should question yelena on why she had control of the satellite or if she was joking

yelena wakes up to feliz navidad blaring through the house one morning only to go downstairs and find kate singing along but saying “police mom and dad” to the dogs and yelena isn’t sure if she should correct kate or let her live the rest of her live believing those are the lyrics

kate hears a bloodcurdling scream coming from her and yelenas bedroom and kate runs up to check if everything is okay and finds yelena sat in shock that one of the hundreds of pockets in her vest got ripped

yelena asks kate one day what would happen if someone hypothetically swallowed a glow stick and as kate is going into the science of it, yelena cuts her off and asks if they could glow like a glowstick while kate stares at the currently open pack in their kitchen in shock that the smartest woman she knows ate a glowstick

kate jokingly says “being gay isn’t for me” one day to nat and is immediately met with a death glare from yelena who holds up her ring finger like a middle finger showing kate the very expensive wedding ring she bought yelena and yelena simply says

kate randomly declares that she is god one day and yelena doesn’t question it for a while until kate finally explains to yelena that she managed to call lucky and fannys vet and didn’t get put on hold at all and yelena has to agree that kate may be a god

one night when wanda and nat are over, yelena suggests doing a karaoke night and nominates kate to start which is fun until yelena suggests they do a “hometown heroes” round and it turns out kate is very passionate about her love of the beastie boys and takes over for the next hour while yelena stares at kate in awe
