I can't believe they gave him so much personality in the series and then all of it went down the drain with every movie

I mean I get that they were just trying to put the main focus on hiccup and toothless with their development and the stories over all progression but they should've kept some elements from the two series too considering then perhaps more people would be compelled to watch them

Snotlout is definitely my favorite out of all of them with his sassy attitude but in the movies he just doesn't get the spot light my man deserves 😭

Like istg if dreamworks doesn't release a movie solely based on my beloved then I WILL REVOLT 😾😾

But in all seriousness they coulve at least kept his character development but they decided against it, like they really just kept him as a side character who was fawning over the ladies at every given moment even though in the series we see that he learns his lesson after his interaction with the wingmaidens in that one episode

I'm DROWNING in my sorrows now that there's no more snotlout content 😭😭😭

Ive reached the jamil chapter as of now and man I get where he's coming from not the being a scholar and everything part but in general the fact that he lives under so many restrictions kinda hits home

( I'm so sad the bird didn't get a character of his own)

Even in the leona chapter

Like leona is so misunderstood I feel as if he just hides his insecurities under the facade of him giving absolutely zero shits

But at the end of the day leona has little to no value in the hierarchy of the Savannah kingdom he's just a second prince

I think him and jamil share an inferiority complex and the fact that they're both considered second just deepens that fact

They did snotlout so dirty in the third movie regarding his design, like it's not bad but i miss rtte snotlout like bro he was just YES.

Snotlout had so much potential in the series as a character that could grow in personality to great lengths as we could see in the end of the seasons where he finally understands people better instead of going into things blind sighted.

Like I can think of many possibilities for him as even without his dragon snotlout was a very promising viking and alongside hiccup (much to his dismay) he could really achieve a great number of new heights, like after both hiccup and astrid snotlout is arguably the best rider in berk (rtte basis)

Like he's the perfect amount of offense and sarcasm with occasional down to earth talks which proves that he's got a soft spot for the people close to him but he just hides it with his snarky comments

They really did not include anything from the series in the movies like I get why but it could have really proven to be a turning point for his character but NOOO dreamworks just HAD to IGNORE the side characters in the movie and base them off their surface personalities.

Hello peoples

I’ve finally reached the peek of my httyd obsession meaning-

I HAVE AN OC!!

This is just a rough sketch for now

Okay so her name is Valkyrie she’s from a neighbouring island of berserker island

I’m still in a dilemma whether I should go with her knowing hiccups mom and valka saving her when her parents boat sank (about 7 years old) and valka taking care of her

So when hiccup meets her they’re like siblings and hiccup’s kids love to listen to their aunts stories about their grandma and how fearless and brave she is, and lore wise she gets introduced during the rtte like the gang meets her briefly and gets to know her knowledge regarding dragons (she doesn’t ride one tho) at this time she isn’t aware that valka is hiccups mom because valka never mentioned her son’s name just that she had a son so it’s like she’s made claims about how hiccup reminds her of her own “mother”. However she is absent during the second movie time frame as she’s travelling around to find a rare medicinal herb for the dragons which could possibly counter effect the poison from the dragon eating dragons and upon her arrival in berk is when she finds out that her and hiccup are related not by blood but by mother (so technically she’s adopted but she’s not get it)

And OBVIOUSLY her qoute un qoute love interest HAS to be snotlout but I haven’t decided their story yet probably just him being a muttonhead and he probably just wore her down after 5 years of asking and asking and asking

But I haven’t finalised anything but her design so yes

like they have NO RIGHT being THAT funny and the way snotlout just teases people more the moment he finds what they hate pure gold. I guess the dragons really represent the riders personalities but as dragons.

Like if you think about it look at Astrid and stormfly as an example, I remember Astrid mentioning how stormfly cares more about Astrid than she does about herself and that clearly states Astrid’s relationship with the rest of the riders, yes even the twins and snotlout.

I’m sure this is common knowledge by now but I think the dragons might symbolise the riders in ways that they might not be familiar with themselves making them a stronger team together as they would complete each others insecurities, id probably have to research a bit more on the topic but I don’t think I’m too far off, like if you look at hiccup and toothless they have a symbiotic relationship both emotionally and physically up until the third movie then again they still care about eachother after.

Like there HAS to be a reason why each dragon belongs to which rider and why

The boys are back!!

I will be making follow up posts of each of them individually for character insight but for now I’ll just explain by choices for each and why

Brick

He’s on the chess team at the university but no one gives him shit for it because he used to be the basketball captain

He’s one of the scholars in the university l (him and blossom are constantly at odds)

He has a part time job at the dog shelter (alongside bubbles)

Brick lives with Dexter in their apartment complex away from his brothers because they forgot to put in a request alongside him.

Dexter is also bricks said bestfriend because of how clean and rational he is but this doesn’t stop them from raiding their closest 7/11

Boomer

He’s the certified pretty boy ( gets most of the girls after brick )

Boomer has a tendency to look approachable but is actually rude if you’re bothering him and tends to hold grudges

He is definitely the more reasonable one but he has his limits

He’s a part time at the pastry cafe along side buttercup

Boomer is a part of the universe MUN and is football team captain

Butch

He’s on the rugby team and has been told to take the captain position but just doesn’t like being in charge and having responsibilities

He’s volunteering at the nursing home with blossom (he hates seeing old women alone and has a soft spot for old people)

He’s not failing but unlike his brothers he’s actually a business major

Alongside rugby he also participates in underground boxing matches (it’s just him and buttercup usually)

He gets girls but tends to stay away from them because he thinks he’ll get cooties (he’s kidding, it’s just his way of being respectful after blossom single-handedly whooped his ass)

Oh right and they have pointy ears in my au post him because just yes, and yes boomer has blue sparkly ears because he’s fast sonic boom and idk I just wanted to give him sparkles

Wow that was so serious but-

POWERPUFF BRAINROT!!

Okay so here’s some headcanons that I’ve had but I’ve never really wrote them down but I think would be good fanfic material

I think the greens would be good friends after some time like as violent as they are they have very good battle chemistry because I don’t think they’d just be animals going ham on the enemy. As kids? Sure but as teenagers or new adults I think they’d achieve some sort of mutual understanding of each other. What I mean is that I feel like they would really get what the other is going through with being stereotyped as the “headstrong” and “numbskulls” because even though buttercup is more on the soft side and butch is just blatantly crazy I think they would get why they are like that after a point in their relationship (not romantic just in general). They wouldn’t call each other friends but they would stand up for each other in their own way, I don’t think buttercup would fight butchs battles for him instead she’d just give him advice in her own green way same goes for butch to buttercup.

I think because of buttercup being a green she gets bricks anger issues in a way butch doesn’t. Not shipping them but I’m just saying like buttercup in all her annoying and teasing glory would know when to shut up when it comes to brick because I don’t think anyone would want to get on his bad side considering she’s already been there yet never on the receiving end but looking back on the burns he’d give blossom during their fights I don’t think she’d like to mess with him. Brick already has a hard time going about his day because of constantly being on the edge I don’t think he’s ever had a childlike mentality after what’s happened with Him because I think Him really had a lasting effect on the boys causing them great types of trauma.

The puffs and ruffs probably come to a sort of understanding after some time because even if they don’t like each other they still get each other like I said with the greens I think this understanding is even deeper with the reds. They are EXTREMELY complex like I cannot even begin to explain how much of their character I can break down.

I don’t think blossom is a conservative know it all bitch instead I think blossom is narcissistic from being the forever leader but still being her everything nice qualities. Yes she is the nicest but I think she’s the LEAST reasonable. I think she would have very solid foundations for every situation which would be very hard to negotiate with causing disagreements that she wouldn’t anticipate but would still invite unknowingly. Knowing this I think her and brick would constantly be at odds yet brick would be the one making and effort to settle down instead most of the time because I think even with his all hotheadedness I don’t think he’s a person who would headache unnecessary arguments. Brick does have pride but he’s the complete opposite of blossom in a way where the way they handle social ques is also very different. Yes they have their similarities but I don’t think they’d be on the same page EVER. Now where does the understanding come? Their behaviour mostly because I feel like they’d respond to a lot of things the same way. On and emotional level I think they have a similar sense of stress.
