Victor, for the most part, is very bad at surprises, as he tends to struggle to hide his giddiness when it comes to Yuuri. However, for Yuuri’s birthday, Victor used this to his advantage - dropping ‘accidental hints’ about the huge surprise party he was planning, that Yuuri was secretly dreading, so it was an amazing surprise when Yuuri was guided to the place the party was supposedly happening, and it turned out Victor had planned a private, romantic dinner for just the two of them.

Victor loves planning dates where either he or Yuuri try something new. This has, in turn, led to some of the best and worst dates of their relationship. 

Following this headcanon...

The ‘loser’ of each mini competition would have to grant the ‘winner’ one request back at the hotel that night. Victor’s favourite win was when he got Yuuri to speak nothing but (broken) Russian during sex, and Yuuri’s favourite win was when he got to tie up Victor’s hands and keep control for once.

Once the season was over, Yuuri and Victor took a couple’s trip (read: late honeymoon) travelling through Europe. They challenged themselves to visit one ice rink in every country and make up mini routines on the spot competing with one another. The final stop of the trip was, of course, Barcelona. 

After the chaos that was the after-party where Yuuri first confessed to Victor, Victor decided to surprise Yuuri one birthday by getting a pole built into their bedroom. Safe to say, Yuuri wasn’t exactly thrilled to find it. 

Victor was thrilled when, after a few drinks for liquid courage, Yuuri put on a whole show just for him. 

Victor keeps a photo of Yuuri in his wallet at all times, and he will often pull it out to show off mid-boast about his boyfriend to anyone and everyone who will listen. 

Victor often sings around the house in Russian. It always makes Yuuri swoon a little to hear. The issue comes in that Yuuri is still a beginner in Russian, and has no idea 90% of the time, Victor is making up his own very inappropriate words to songs. 

At the start of their relationship, when Yuuri was still growing accustomed to Victor’s clingy nature, Victor would often try and hug or hold Yuuri whilst Yuuri was cooking. Yuuri, as a result, would get flustered and scold him for being in the way. It once resulted in Yuuri knocking over a whole pan of curry onto the floor and they had to just get pizza delivered for dinner and made up over it. Now, pizza is their go-to ‘make up’ or ‘apology’ dinner. 

Yuuri has a habit of puffing out his cheeks or chewing the inside of his cheeks when he is frustrated with something, and Victor quickly picks up a habit of poking or pinching Yuuri’s cheek lightly to get him to snap out of it.

Victor knew Yuuri was good at ballet, but he didn’t know just how good until he went to pick Yuuri up after he helped Minako with a class one afternoon. He and Makkachin were staring in the window as Yuuri demonstrated to the advanced students, and it took Victor’s breath away. After that Victor started incorporating more moves that showed Yuuri’s ballet training in his skating routines. 

Can you make some headcanons about Yuri loving the way viktor smells?

Yuuri doesn’t really notice it in their early time together. Just sometimes when Victor does that weird thing when he comes close, Yuuri finds himself pausing for a moment before pulling away - there’s something oddly nice about his smell that Yuuri can’t put his finger on. 

Once Yuuri becomes more comfortable with Victor, he takes the chance to try and understand what it is. And he’ll let Victor hug him for a little longer, just so he can take in a deep breath.

When they get together, Yuuri slyly waits for Victor to fall asleep, and will curl up, face pressed against his chest, just breathing in that scent. 

He eventually decides that Victor smells of fresh snow, strawberry shampoo, and something undeniable Victor.

Victor’s scent becomes one of those things that helps Yuuri calm down when he’s feeling nervous, but he’s too embarrassed to tell Victor. 

Victor finds out when Chris lends him some aftershave and Yuuri practically cringes when he smells it on him. 

Yuuri will sleep in Victor’s shirts, but only when Victor isn’t around for the night, purely to have the smell near him still. 

I have this headcanon that Yuuri is very talented at making wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) and is particularly good at making Namagashi, which are traditional sweets served during a traditional tea ceremony.So, while Viktor was out training and Yuuri had the day off, Yuuri made Namagashi and served it with matcha as a treat for Viktor for his hard work. Viktor almost found it too hard to eat such beautifully crafted masterpieces and only managed to eat when he realized that Yuuri might think that he didn’t want to. Not only were they beautiful but they tasted great too.

Can you give me some more headcanons on yuri's anxiety. I would think he would get so anxious that he couldn't even be around viktor. But can you list some more, please senpai?

Early on in their relationship, Yuuri would try everything to hide the worst of his anxiety from Victor. Victor knew about it, but Yuuri was terrified of him seeing him in full blown panic attacks - and if Victor was around when he felt one coming on, it only made him worse and he had to escape.

A lot of Yuuri’s anxieties in the first few months of Victor being in Japan stemmed from Yuuri being terrified to be a disappointment. After he won the Onsen on Ice contest against Yurio, every now and then Yuuri’s anxiety would hike up around Victor for fear of upsetting or disappointing him during training.  

Eventually, Victor started noticing the warning signs on his own, and learnt to leave the situation quickly so Yuuri wouldn’t get worse with him there - but he always tried to act like it was coincidence he had to go walk Makkachin, or had to research some music just as Yuuri started to panic. 

After they’ve been together a while though, Yuuri probably constantly needs to school Victor on his anxiety: what helps, what doesn’t help, what sets it off, what he doesn’t want to talk about. Victor is aware of a lot of things, and he really tries his best, but Yuuri has gotten the confidence to just tell him outright how he is and what he needs, because Victor sometimes does the completely wrong thing. 

My headcanon is that Viktor is a really composed person and a calm human being when it comes to serious situations. He doesn't laugh, doesn't shout, nor he smiles. And if someone hurts Yuuri, like bringing him into a panic attack, he just freaks out and looks at that person like he wants to burn them in Hell. It's just a totally different side of him.

I imagine they’d probably be far too self-conscious too for the longest time. Yuuri because, wow anxiety alert, Victor would think he was gross, and Victor because he doesn’t want Yuuri to think badly of him. They probably got used to it after a while, but I imagine Yuuri especially would avoid it still if possible.
