hii!! i was wondering if u have any good fic recs? i've been trying to find some but sorting through the many, many fics has been impossible and you seem like you have good taste lmao
omg hi anon this is so sweet.... I’ve mostly gotten fics from other ppl’s reclists on here so check out my #fic recs tag but I can link some favorites if you want! (you might know them all already tho, i’m not exactly slogging thru the actual ao3 tag either)
everyone’s a critic, teen, ~100k, this was the first long spn fic I read pretty much as soon as cas showed up, back when I was only reading aus to avoid spoilers. To be honest I didn’t really know anything abt cas then so even though I’ve read it twice how good the cas characterization in there is kinda a blur, but I am such a big fan of chef dean i want to give him a hug. I appreciate the lack of explicit smut here too it cuts away very tastefully.
under the midnight sun, explicit, ~230k, this is the longest fic I’ve ever successfully finished reading, I read it over the span of 2 days and I’m obsessed. ao3 user northernsparrow has an ornithology degree and uses it to write gay angel fanfiction. this is an ~au~ but cas is still an angel and it’s so well researched (from op’s real experience) that it really makes you feel like you’re on an arctic research station.
like moses and batman and james dean , explicit, ~30k, this is a personal favorite of mine (I mean, obviously, it’s on this list), warning for underage prostitution, this is such a good dean studies fic
r/supernatural, gen, ~3.5k, this is by my beloved mutual @marywinchesterapologist and never fails to make me laugh. dean posts on reddit.
the path of fireflies, mature, ~60k. keep ur eyes out for the ending, it will gut you. dean and cas got the b&b in vermont :)
regarding castiel, explicit, ~16k, this fic answers the question “what if cas was in 12x11 regarding dean? and does so wonderfully
tell me about the dream, mature, ~90k. what if after swan song dean couldn’t make the apple pie life work with lisa, but ended up reconnecting with cas who’s raising claire? this is soooo good I read it in one day and im probably gonna reread it soon I love it so much.
in due time, dean winchester is saved by @badjoices, teen, ~11k. what if little 26 year old pre-series dean showed up in 2021 and saw his future self alive and happy and with cas... warning for suicidal thoughts but there’s a happy ending, I love this one so much the ending really punched me in the gut
three little words by @myaimistrue, mature, ~2.3k. cas, ambiguously back from the empty, tells dean he loves him and dean has a panic attack. this fic makes me feel so warm inside
you’re fooling yourself by @cowboydeanwinchester, teen, ~13k. baby jack fic baby jack fic!! maybe I’m partial to baby jack because I’m not to real jack in the show yet but I’m beyond obsessed with this fic and the author also wrote a couple more in-universe ficlets it’s so <3
I also have enjoyed pretty much everything from @sobsicles !
I have more fics in my bookmarks but these were for the most part the more memorable ones as I went through them just now. If you want more recs feel free to ask <3

So apparently, over the summer, Quibi (the shortest-lasting streaming service ever lmao) did a quarantine project called “Home Movie: The Princess Bride” where a bunch of celebrities recreated The Princess Bride in tiny chunks at home.
And like there was no permanent cast, all these celebrities seem to have gotten a scene or part of a scene to do (i’m not sure exactly, I did not ever watch Quibi and thus haven’t seen this yet), and then they just… recreated it as best they could. At home. Under quarantine.
So like, you had Jennifer Garner in a blanket cape playing Princess Buttercup AND the Booing Old Woman with a crowd comprised entirely of stuffed animals:

And it’s all just delightful.
But my absolute favorite part of this thing that I’ve sadly never seen but assume is probably absolutely hilarious and a treasure and I want to find it some day and watch the whole thing… is that Carey Elwes is in it.

Hello again! I have read through your masterlist of outlining and story, but I wondered if you had any Physical examples of a story outline you recommend to look at as I am a visual learner, and while your examples are a great help, I just cant get anything written without picturing it if that makes sense?
My Outline Sheet…
I actually use a spreadsheet to outline my stories. I’m not necessarily a visual person, but I find that most people I’ve helped who have identified as visual writers simply lack an efficient and easy method or organizing ideas in short form. I mainly use a spreadsheet to organize my thoughts, intentions, and the timeline/length of chapters or sections.
Column 1 - Chapter or section number
Column 2 - Time (Date or general indicator of the point in the narrative)
Column 3 - Title of the chapter or section
Column 4 - Character #1 summary for the chapter/section. Describes how character is feeling or what they’re doing primarily within the narrative at this point in the story.
Column 5 - Character #2 summary for the chapter/section. Describes how character is feeling or what they’re doing primarily within the narrative at this point in the story.
Columns 6-9 - Scene descriptions (generally 3-4 scenes in a single chapter or section)
Column 10 - Beta reader notes to implement
Column 11- personal notes for implementation
The rows descend in order of chapter or section
Includes a key for color coding based on where each scene is in the writing process (drafting, editing, needs revision or rewrite, complete)
This sheet has been my go-to for a very long time, and I use it from the beginning of the brainstorming stage to the end of the final revision and beta reading stages. It’s easily modified for specific formats or genres, and it’s pretty comprehensive no matter who you may collaborate with.
I’ve created a public google sheet document that you’re welcome to look at and copy if you feel so inclined.

Huh?? There’s still update mods for sims2? Can you pls share your source for mods and acc of you don’t mind. I just bought sims 2 I haven’t download it yet cause my WiFi decide to start acting up. Wish you would make a yt channel where you play your sims.
i’m so bored at home i just might have to 😳✋🏾 but here are some of the sims 2 mods i use and where i go:
clean ui mod - okay so this mod basically mimics sims 4 ui and makes the sims 2 look really sleek and modern.
20 sliders - self explanatory
24 sliders - again, self explanatory
no pause frame - when you pause the game a red frame appears and this gets rid of it because i’m tedious
no sim shadow - for whatever reason on some newer computers the sims have a black shadow under them when they walk, this gets rid of it
static ui poses - sims don’t move and make annoying faces when you make them and dress them up
no greeting npcs - every time you move sims neighboring sims come to say hello. this prevents that from happening
improved family tree - makes it look nicer and is easier to see on newer computers
clothes / hair / makeup:
deedee-sims - sims 4 hair and clothes conversions. modern hair and clothes for the sims 2, basically
skysims eye defaults - realistic looking eyes instead of the ugly cartoon-y ones in game. you can’t use or download any other contact cc when using this!
e-neillian - modern sims 2 clothes inspired by ig models and outfits in movies
aklirasims2 - only sims 2 cc. clothes and poses. really nice stuff
amidalasims - converts sims 4 hair to sims 2
gardenofshadows - eyebrow defaults. again you can’t dl any other eyebrow cc when using this
lilithsims - skin blends, lip blends, and hair (their sims are very cute)

Is there a website to look up models or people to draw, with gender, ethnicity, and age filters. (if possible)?
For example if a wanted to make a cartoon character realistic and use a real person for reference or to edit the photo to look like them?
I’ve been just googling white 20s male, black female 40s etc. (can’t find any good references for kids either) and been sifting through the results.

hey psa to my fellow fat ppl: a few tips + tutorials for upsizing clothing that’s too small, that way if you’ve grown out of certain stuff and can’t afford new things, you can make it fit you– this has helped me a lot in the past
my tips:
cutting off just the neckline of a shirt/dress can help SO much
cutting slits on the sides of tight shirts helps relieve tightness + you can add an accent fabric, lace, or fishnet material under there for an extra design element (or safety pin it back together for a really cool punk look!)
you can do that same thing with sleeves but i recommend doing it underneath (either on the seem if it has one or to the seem that connects it to the shirt)
adding false pleats to skirts/dresses by cutting them up the sides and in the front and adding an accent fabric works really well with tightness around the legs
you can do a lot of these side-cut things to pants but if you do, it’s a good idea to add elastic to the waist band!
