Deity Of The Day :
Madam Pele, Hawaii's Goddess of Fire -
Pele is described as "She who shapes the sacred land "in ancient Hawaiian chants, the volcano Goddess, Pele, was passionate, volatile, and capricious.
In modern times, Pele has become the most visible of all the old Gods and Goddesses. Dwelling in the craters of the Big Islands Kilanea Volcano, she has been sending ribbons of fiery lava down the mountainside and adding new land around the Southern Eastern shore almost continuously since 1993.
Pele is the volcano, the expression and embodiment of divine creative power. She is true flame of passion and the Fire of purpose. She is the energy if dynamic action and she is the true glowing essence of eternal and profound love.
The legend of Pele has her originally Coming from Tahiti, where her older sister Namaka, The Sea Goddess constantly sent ocean waves to roll over Pele's home to snuff out her flames.
Pele persevered and eventually found her home on the big island of Hawaii in the volcano called Kilawa (means Spreading). Her forms are many including the volcano, lava, and fire/flame. Goddess Pele also has the ability to shape shift and will show herself as a beautiful young woman, as a Crone and as a white dog. Some of her other symbols include the Ohi'a lehua, a beautiful tree that quickly grows on fresh lava flows, lehua flowers and the Hawaiian honey creeper which loves the nectar of the lehua blossoms.
Fire power is Goddess Pele's gift. The Fire element brings energy! Physical energy, motivation, empowerment, and strength can be found with the element Fire.
Pele can be creul and destructive if you steal from her. If you take her stones, rocks, and berries without an offering she will curse you until you return her rocks and show forgiveness with an offering and saying sorry.
All she asks is you respect and ask permission to be and use her land and home.

Today's Card 2/19/20
Nine of Pentacles
Overall Meaning:
The IX of Pentacles represents significant financial reward, but one borne of hard work and careful planning on your part; a just reward for prudent actions. It may also indicate that a time of hardship for you is ending and a counter-balancing time of pleasant living is at hand. On a less positive note, it also indicates a solitary individual, so you may still be searching for companionship, and lack people to with whom share your gains.
Work\Education:
The Nine of Pentacles in regards to work can strongly suggest a promotion. In regards to education, it might mean that you’ve hit the sweet spot where your teachers know you understand the work and ask you fewer questions. You have gained their trust. Expect good things all round when the Nine of Pentacles shows up for work or education. The only bad thing the Nine of Pentacles can suggest is that you may have reached your peak in your current workplace. If this is the case, then simply look elsewhere. Your experience should open new doors for you.
Romance:
The Nine of Pentacles in romance is a very good sign. Do you want to be single? Do you want a new level of relationship, or a new relationship altogether? Any choice is possible. Many things that happen in a relationship seem like a big deal at the time, but when you really think over it, it’s nothing. Don’t blow things out of proportion, you’re comfortable where you are now, and there’s no reason to change.
Money:
The Nine of Pentacles in regards to finances is a great sign. This card really is very positive in this aspect. Are you looking for work or have things taken a bad turn? Expect the unexpected, but from somewhere familiar. If you regularly do the lottery, expect a surprising sum, but it’s more probably that something like a payment of inheritance, or a large sum of owed money is coming back to you.
Spirit:
The Nine of Pentacles in spirituality means that now might be a good time to just relax and not trouble yourself with deeper matters. If you have time, think about how blessed your life is. Even when we think we have it worst, we really don’t, it’s all a matter of relativity.
Health:
The Nine of Pentacles is good when placed for health. You should be in a period where you don’t need to concern yourself with health. If you aren’t, and are suffering, think about how you felt when you had no concern. how was your life different? If you can, try to emulate how you acted then.
Yes\No Questioning:
The Nine of Pentacles stands for wealth and financial security. It could mean finally being rewarded for all of your efforts in business or important projects in your life. The presence of this card could mean financial and/or personal independence for you. The answer you seek is more than likely yes.
Keys:
Abundance, wealth, well-deserved fruits of labour.
Good health and financial position.
Qualities:
Refinement, luxury, beauty and status. Good taste, loneliness.

Large purchases, land, property, as well as luxury and ornaments.
Valuable pieces of art, paintings, jewellery, elegant, ancient and beautiful things.

DEITY OF THE DAY
Anahita: Persian Water Goddess; Fertility Goddess
Ardvi Sura Anahita (also Anahita, Anahit, or “Immaculate One”), which means “the humid, strong, immaculate one”, was one of the ruling deities of the Persian Empire. She embodied the physical and metaphroical qualities of water, especially the fertilizing flow of water from the fountain in the stars. She also ruled semen and human fertility. She was viewed as the “Golden Mother” and as a warrior maiden.
Anahita originated in Babylon and spread to Kemet (ancient Egypt), where She was depicted as an armed and mounted Goddess. The Greeks associated Anahita with either Athena or Aphrodite. In the Middle East, She was associated with Anat. Worship of Anahita spread to Armenia, Persia, and various parts of western Asia. Zoroaster was specifically commanded by his male god to honor Her.
Anahita was often shown wearing a golden kerchief, square gold earrings, and a jeweled diadem, and wrapped in a golde-embroidered cloak adorned with thirty otter skins. Anahita was sometimes depicted as driving a chariot drawn by four white horses, representing wind, rain, clouds, and hail. Anahita was honored with offerings of green branches and white heifers. Ritual prostitution occurred in Her temples in order to “purify the seed of males and the womb and milk of females,” according to Strabo. Armenians called out to Anahita “Great Lady Anahita, glory and life-giver of our nation, mother of sobriety, and benefactor of humanity.”

Today's Card 2/18/20
Knight of Pentacles
Overall Meaning:
The Knight of Pentacles symbolizes the virtues of patience, honour, and dependability, and his presence in your spread may indicate you, too, possess these traits. An alternative traditional view is that he represents a young man, a dependable bearer of good news who will soon enter your life.
Work\Education:
The Knight of Pentacles in regards to work or education means a new leaf, a new start, but in a more revolutionary way than The Ace of Pentacles suggests. You might land that job you always wanted, or possibly move a step towards that path, but more likely you’re going to stand out where you are currently. You might have some new ideas on how to work or study, now is the time to implement them. This could be very beneficial in a workplace. If you have new ideas on how to work, make sure you make them known now. Take credit for things that you have done to make your workplace more efficient, as well as a more enjoyable place to spend the day.
Romance:
The Knight of Pentacles in romance can signify ‘the Knight in shining armour’ that your partner, or potential partner is looking for. You’re going to need to be responsible for yourself and your partner if you’re in a relationship, so don’t shirk away from taking a leading role. If you are single, then look to be willing to make a serious commitment to another person when the opportunity arises. You might need to go out of your way to meet somebody new, and this could mean doing something that is completely out of your comfort zone.
Money:
The Knight of Pentacles in regards to finances is another good sign. Expect your bank balance to increase, and at the very least, don’t worry about money for the time being. You might be tempted to risk something important for some extra cash, but you know it’s probably not the wisest move. Don’t take any chances that you can’t afford to lose. If you’re waiting to hear about anything related to money, then expect it to be good news.
Spirit:
The Knight of Pentacles can mean that you need to get practical with your spirituality. Make it a part of your daily routine; a small prayer when you wake up, or some mindful meditation during the day. You need to manifest your mental state into the real world. Take things slowly, but be sure to make the spiritual world a part of your life in the coming weeks.
Health:
The Knight of Pentacles suggests that you should stick to a good routine when you’re considering your health. A balanced plan for your diet and regular exercise will help you achieve your potential. Is there anything stopping you from doing this? Work out what it is, and stop it happening. Make little changes first. Our lives can change so much when we eat correctly and exercise enough. Do not stagnate. You need to treat your body right, it is a shame to see a human body not at it’s potential.

DEITY OF THE DAY
The Great Pan -
"That dismal cry rose slowly
And sank slowly through the air, Full of spirits melancholy
And eternity's despair;
And they heard the words it said -
Pan is dead -Great Pan is dead, Pan, is dead. "
A musical Instrument, 1859
It has been almost 150 years since poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote that Great Pan is dead. Pan has long been a symbol of the wild-at-heart and the carefree. But just who is Pan, where did he come from, and why does he evoke such thoughts? Among the most recognized of all the Greek Gods, Pan is described as a satyr. Dion Fortune called Pan the "Goat Foot God." He has the body of a man, and the hindquarters of a goat.
Pan was an Arcadian God of shepherds. With the arrival of the Olympian Gods, new myths were told to Explain his presence. Pan's relationship to the Gods is varied. One myth tells that Pan is a son of Kronos and foster brother of Zeus. In another story, he is the son of Hermes and the nymph Dryope. Some have said that his Mother was Queen Penelope, the wife of Odysseus, and that his Father was all of her suitors. Whatever Pan's origins, he is associated with bee keeping, music, fertility, and dance. He is also God of prophecy. He is best known, however, for his sexual escapades. The nymph Syrinx escaped his passion for her by having herself turned into a clump of reeds by the Gods. Pan plucked a handful of the reeds and created his panpipes. He remembers her with his music. Pan seduced the nymph Pitys away from Boreas, the North wind. The Goddess Gaia changed Pitys into a pine tree to save her from Borea's wrath. Pan seduced the Goddess Selene when he changed into a white ram and lured her into the forest.BThe worship of Pan centered on the region of Arcadia until the Battle of Marathon in 490 BC. Greece was being invaded by the Persians, and Athens sent a runner to Sparta for help. On his return trip, the runner Pheidippides encountered Pan in Arcadia. Making his presence known, Pan told Pheidippides that if the Athenians would worship him he would aid them in battle. It is said that Pan's cry caused a panic amongest the Persian army. In Athens a shrine to Pan was built in the wild places below the acropolis. Pan is unique among the other Greek Gods in that he is the only one with a story of his death. Plutarch wrote of a merchant ship that was plying its trade amongst the Greek isles. When the ship neared the isle of Paxi, a great voice called, asking the captain to tell a neighboring island that "Great Pan is dead." The death of Pan seemed to signal the death of all the Gods. In Greek, Pan literally means "all." But Pan is not dead. Authors have immortalized him up to present day. He even was a cartoon sidekick to Hercules in a Walt Disney movie. Pan has become the embodiment of all things wild and carefree. He is now a cultural icon in the modern age. Pan Is Alive!

Mercury’s retrograde motion will start again on February 17, 2020!
WHAT IS “MERCURY RETROGRADE”?
Due to the way our planet’s orbit interacts with the orbits of the other planets, they might sometimes appear to be traveling backward through the night sky with respect to the zodiac. This is, in fact, an illusion, which we call apparent retrograde motion. Three times a year, it appears as if Mercury is traveling backwards. We refer to these periods as times when Mercury is in retrograde motion, or simply “Mercury retrograde.” These times in particular were traditionally associated with confusions, delay, and frustration. Think email blunders and frazzled travel plans. However, this is an excellent time to reflect on the past. It’s said that intuition is high during these periods, and coincidences can be extraordinary.
WHEN IS MERCURY IN RETROGRADE IN 2020?
In 2020, Mercury will be in apparent retrograde motion during the following ranges of dates:
February 17 to March 10
June 18 to July 12
October 14 to November 3
WHAT TO DO WHEN MERCURY IS RETROGRADE
The planet Mercury rules communication, travel, contracts, automobiles, and such.
So, when Mercury is retrograde, remain flexible, allow extra time for travel, and avoid signing contracts. Double check your email responses, check in with reservations before you take that trip. Review projects and plans at these times, but wait until Mercury is direct again to make any final decisions. You can’t stop your life, but plan ahead, have back-up plans, and be prepared for angrier people and miscommunication. Some people blame Mercury retrograde for “bad” things that happen in their lives. Instead, this is a good time to sit back and review where you put your energy in your life. For example, if family and faith are important to you, are you putting your energies there or just overextended in other areas? Take a moment to reflect. Mercury retrograde can be an excellent time to take a step back and reanalyze who you are and what you are doing—but do refrain from making any drastic changes until after retrograde has ended.
MERCURY AND YOU
The type of influence you feel depends on which of the 12 zodiac signs Earth is in when Mercury goes retrograde!

DEITY OF THE DAY
ODIN- RULER OF THE NORSE GODS
In the Norse pantheon, Asgard was the home of the gods, and it was the place where one could find Odin, the supreme deity of them all. Connected to his Germanic ancestor Woden or Wodan, Odin was the god of kings and the mentor of young heroes, to whom he often gave magical gifts.
In addition to being a king himself, Odin was a shapeshifter, and frequently roamed the world in disguise. One of his favorite manifestations was that of a one-eyed old man; in the Norse Eddas, the one-eyed man appears regularly as a bringer of wisdom and knowledge to heroes. He pops up in everything from the saga of the Volsungs to Neil Gaiman's American Gods. He was typically accompanied by a pack of wolves and ravens, and rode on a magic horse named Sleipnir. Odin is associated with the concept of the wild hunt, and leads a noisy hoarde of fallen warriors across the sky.
Odin was said to summon dead heroes and kings to Valhalla, which they entered accompanied by the host of Valkyries. Once in Valhalla, the fallen engaged in feasting and combat, always ready to defend Asgard from its enemies. Odin's warrior followers, the Berserkers, wore the pelts of a wolf or bear in battle, and worked themselves up into an ecstatic frenzy that made them oblivious to the pain of their wounds.
As a young man Odin hung on the world tree, Yggdrasil, for nine days while pierced by his own javelin, in order to obtain the wisdom of the nine worlds. This enabled him to learn the magic of the runes. Nine is a significant number in the Norse sagas, and appears frequently.
Odin continues to maintain a strong following, particularly amongst members of the Asatru community.
