lfg… lighting out for the territories
Reinhard had always hated parties, and this one was no exception. He didn’t mind the stiff white dress uniform he was wearing, nor did he mind the food, or the music. It was simply the concept of being at a party, when he would rather be doing something productive.
Tumblr media
“So, you’re the celebrity,” Dominique said. Her voice was low for a woman’s, and somewhat sultry.
OMG DOMINIQUE!!! MY MF GIRLFRIEND!!!
i love econ bro rein wiaw reinhard and stringer bell would get along well (or hate eachother) (bc we all know reinhard is a utilitarian goody-two-shoes despite being a conqueror. no love for the fiends & the pushers, von musel!)
the fact that this description is in the first chapter.. very ambitious.. even so early u see reinhard’s cruel outlook “…while the saving of four hundred Alliance soldiers may mean much to their families, in a war where battles regularly involve the lives and deaths of millions of people, it’s insignificant.” u can juxtapose this to yang’s moral dilemma bc reinhard has none. in fact hes like a lot of ppl will die for a greater cause (while that aspect of war torments yang, it is something a younger reinhard can alr rationalize??? rein canon compliant REDACTED?) wiaw reinhard is so fascinating to me bc hes in a far more disadvantageous position than he ever was at any point of canon tl. not to be oh ur sister aint in the kaiser’s ears skirt admiral~~ but its kinda like that. reinhard my baby im so sorry plz dont kill m-
BISHOP DEGSBY…???!!! also rly love the mention of the mandate … the goldenbaums r like this bizarro mix of prussian aesthetic, franco revanchism& legit hitlerite shit especially back in rudolf’s heyday n the intersection of emperor-god more associated in certain eastern cultures than not like theyre sooo weird the empire is so weird.
Reinhard’s smile was cold. “The Alliance is my home, and I am grateful to it for all that it has given me, but I do not pretend that the reason I fled there as a child was out of some ideological purity. It was out of a simple desire to keep the ones I love safe. To say anything to the contrary would be the height of hypocrisy.”
“And yet you claim to hate the Goldenbaums?”
“Hatred is not ideology, Bishop. It’s personal.”
reinhard von musel playa hater of year u.c. 796 😂
Tumblr media
im sorry to put on my evil fujo goggles but i think something clicked here so canon lotgh reinhard had kircheis but distance from his family while in wiaw he has his family but distance from kircheis… ofc his hatred of the goldenbaum come from the same core of them tryna sexually barter his sister but its so fascinating here.
omg is reinhard being an econ bro slash amateur space socmed influencer the equivament of yang’s second rate historian bro-ism in canon tl . except reinhard loves this space military shit & the econ is an accidental hustle. that is the funniest shit ever + is actually more adjacent to my relationship w history… and even this whole blog. health bro shoehorned into amateur historian/anthropologist on yaoi tumblr
INGRIDDDD OMG I FUCKING CALLED IT..!!!
YOOOOOOO THIS SHIT CRAZY CULT COERCION MEETS HUMAN TRAFFICKING?? INGRID BEING THE SAME AGE AS ANNEROSE WHEN SHE MET LUDDY? I did not think she was that young at the wedding what is going awnnn hunny.
blackwell is like struggling to parse if reinhard is a fuckboy while reinhard is like im something of a feminist myself, (he really is my baby god its 2019 again the peak of my reinhard cte)
IS CH2 TITLE A ZORA NEALE HURSTON REF? This is the third wiaw chapter title ref i clocked methinks.
another moment id 100% comm is reinhard in jeans & a light 80s style jacket. reinhard always forgets hes in the top .5% percentile of beauty its hilaryus. pretty girl who just wants to be one of the bros
oh wow we’re actually getting ‘earth church being given cogent beliefs outside of being the space illuminati/blood libelesque as they were in canon’ wow thank u so much for fixing up that disasterclass. authornim’s catholic upbringing is bleeding thru but it makes it more poetic! but catholics dont be dope fiends like this. haha love it
MULLER!!!!! Lmao im already so into this game of telephone theyre playing.
It had been a waste of a day, and Reinhard had returned to his apartment in a bad mood. His mood only got worse when he found that his entire apartment had been ransacked while he was out. His personal computer was missing, and it was clear that the thief had left in a hurry, which meant that they had known Reinhard was returning home, which meant that it was not a thief but probably an imperial agent.
Reinhard stood with his hands on his hips in the middle of his studio, and addressed the room in the imperial language, using his general haughty tone, even though he had just had his apartment broken into, and he was somewhat disheveled from his day of training.
“Lieutenant Commander Muller,” he said. “I’m sure that you know by now that I do not keep anything other than my personal correspondence on my personal computer, and that my personal correspondence is of absolutely zero interest to you. Furthermore, you will notice that, although we share similar responsibilities, I have not, and do not intend to, break into your personal quarters. We may be enemies, but Phezzan would have you believe that we are living for the moment on a civilized planet, and I would hope that we can behave like civilized men.
“In the interest of not causing too great of a disturbance to the detente which exists here on Phezzan, I will not elevate this issue if you would return my property to me. I will be at the park at 54th and Lexard tomorrow evening. I will see you there, Lieutenant Commander Muller.”
IM ACTUALLY CACKLING!!!!!! hes so catty i love her. muller trying to look like a student but failing😂
“Well, I mean, he’s not… He’s not from the Empire.”
“Oh?”
“Like he would have been killed under Rudolph. Or at least sent to do labor.”
adding w/e starzone the galactic empire is in as ‘places to avoid entirely if ur any visible person of color’ MY God the absence of metaphor is striking amc iwtv voice . love how reinhard is like oh if u think u got my tea off a blog name then u rly gone get sum. tell leigh send hugs & kisses to my first love xoxo reinhard von musel
“Sir, my sister is more competent than I am,” Reinhard said, which made Blackwell laugh.
And is!!!
“Tell me.” She was a little more direct without the bishop present, which Reinhard thought was both interesting and an improvement.
LIKE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH HER!??? also im Lmbo @ reinhard going ‘well do i look like yo mf mama (earth) ‘ hes such a smartass i adore him. ik authornim oppresses reinhard but they truly Get Him!!!!
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” Ingrid said. She looked up at the candle-lit altar. “You may look like a god, but you are only a man.”
Reinhard shook his head, too used to strange remarks about his appearance to be embarrassed. “I’ve never seen a god move anything in the world, so I would much prefer to be a man. Besides, my sister looks better than I do.”
im obsessed w ingrid bodying reinhard in such a manner with religious undertones & reinhard going fuck god. my sister’s cuter than me.
Ingrid’s hand dropped back to clutch the pew. “Part of me lived. Part of me died. A very dear… friend… of mine sacrificed her standing to save me. The Earth Church protected me. I’m very grateful to their patronage.”
DOES SHE FEEL LIKE A DEAD MAN WALKING…. IS THE EARTH CHURCH TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE LOSS OF WHAT WAS HOME FOR HER. MAGGIE😢😢😢HER SON ERWIN💔💔
REINHARD LOCKET…😢👀
As far as the man you encountered at a party, yes, I do believe I know who you’re referring to. I… hope... that you do not have too many reasons to come into contact with him, but if you should see him again, you may let him know that his message was received very happily, and that, quote, “I’m doing what you said to.”
Tumblr media
OHMYGOD💔💔💔💔 wait im kinda jtfo at yang pov in this message cuz he prolly thinking to himself aw shit someone could be figuring me out on phezzan meanwhile reinhard & muller is in a quasi one sided homosexual espionage rigmarole
OMG ANNEROSE IS BACK!!!!
Linz had rather kindly made her a sign that read, “If your question is about my personal life, the answer is ‘NO.’ If you have an actual question, please come in.”

Do the Saturdays ever find Amber?
Yes, ironically enough through trying to help the Plumbers catch Bishop after he broke out Albedo, though the Saturday’s wanted him because he’d stolen Zon’s missing eggs from the original thief.

I just finished watching Greenleaf and wow. Never have I watched a tv series where I was so deeply moved. I wasn’t just moved by the series itself but by every single character on the series. I felt so many emotions while watching the series and I felt and went through them all. This series and the characters taught me many things and many lessons. Each and every character touched me in some way whether it be with their truth, flaws, brokenness, faith and love. This show and it’s characters will remain with me for a long time. The talent of every single person that was apart of this series should be proud that they were apart of something so extraordinary. I am thankful for them all and the fact that this series has been shared with the world. I am sad it’s over but also happy and grateful that I got to experience the beauty of this series. From the stories that were told, from the struggles and joy, from the talent and the characters. It was all worth it. Thank you, just thank you. And the running line throughout the series “god is good... all the time.” Amen.

I’m late to discussing this now notorious list from a couple days ago, the New York Times’s “25 finalists for Best Book of the Past 125 Years” as nominated by readers. Some have called it “embarrassing.” The books that undeniably belong on the list do stand out. The Great Gatsby and Beloved and Lolita—no quarrel there. And Ulysses and One Hundred Years of Solitude might objectively be the two most important or at least influential novels of the 20th century, one the epic of modernism, the other the epic of postmodernism.
The 21s-century selections mostly passed me by. I read 10 pages of A Little Life but wasn’t interested in the language; then I read Daniel Mendelsohn’s famous review, which convinced me it was high-end sadist yaoi—but feel free to let me know if I’m wrong. Bold of the Times to let Gone with the Wind stand given the political climate (and, well, the absence of The Sound and the Fury or Absalom, Absalom!), though I’ve never read the book or seen the film and don’t want to. With some of these books—The Fellowship of the Ring, Charlotte’s Web, Lonesome Dove, Harry Potter—I am content with having watched the movie, even if I don’t remember the movie (I do remember Charlotte’s Web). All the Light We Cannot See? Never saw it myself. I don’t always judge a book by its weird, mawkish title, but come on. I’ll finish Infinite Jest someday. A Fine Balance sounds pretty good; I should read it. Pass on The Overstory—as a bad person, I don’t really care about trees.
This mediocre, mannish, whitish list provides a rare opportunity for lovers of the canon and promoters of diversity and equity to join hands. Where are Virginia Woolf, Willa Cather, Nella Larsen, Zora Neale Hurston, Ralph Ellison, Iris Murdoch, Kazuo Ishiguro? It’s not restricted to English—so, for the love of God, where is Thomas Mann? Also, if it’s supposed to be the greatest books, why are they all novels? I vote for The Waste Land, I vote for Omeros. Kafka, Borges. Wallace Stevens, Elizabeth Bishop. Seamus Heaney. Tennessee Williams, August Wilson. Shaw, Beckett, Soyinka. Freud, Arendt; Auerbach, Frye. 125 years is enough to encompass some or all of Conrad and James. Saul Bellow, Cynthia Ozick. Thomas Pynchon, Cormac McCarthy. Joan Didion, Don DeLillo. E. M. Forster, W. B. Yeats, W. H. Auden, J. G. Ballard, J. M. Coetzee, A. S. Byatt, W. G. Sebald. Even given a commitment to the history of popular/genre fiction, 125 years include Stoker, Conan Doyle, Wells, Lovecraft. The Maltese Falcon. The Big Sleep. The Martian Chronicles. Babel-17. Kindred. There are graphic novels better and ultimately more influential than some of the pop fiction on this list: Watchmen, Maus, Akira, Sandman, Les Cités obscures.
Let me be fair, though. Some are stigmatizing these as high-school choices. In that adolescent spirit, I am prepared to defend The Grapes of Wrath (the sentimental novel plus the naturalist chronicle plus the Transcendentalist sermon adding up to an epic of American earth) and Nineteen Eighty-Four (dystopian science-fiction as 20th-century Magna Carta, our bleak postmodern freedom charter). But I admit I did revere those novels when I was 15, and if you didn’t, maybe you can’t see their merit. For example, The Handmaid’s Tale, which I read in my 30s—fine, I guess, often politically insightful, but also a bit silly and tendentious. This might be what Orwell and Steinbeck look like if they didn’t get you when you were a kid. Yet I also read To Kill a Mockingbird and A Prayer for Owen Meaney as a teen too, enjoyed them very much, and would never mistake them for the best novels of the last 125 years. I read The Catcher in the Rye when I was 15 and didn’t like it at all, a judgment I try to keep under wraps because it’s shared with the worst moralists on social media.
Is there any disputing about taste? Of course there is, or else why are we always disputing about it? An aesthetic judgment is universal in form, or why make it? And from the relative height of 20-some years ago or even 15 years ago, we do appear to have suffered a fall.

(Am I crazy doing this? Yes I am. Definitely)
So I will make a comparision on how the character sounds like from their voice claim and how he would sound like if I used their face claim as voice claim.

Have you tried the follower mod Auri? Auri is super lore friendly. She has conversations with Lucien and Inigo. I think for Inigo, at least on console, you have to download a compatibility mod for Inigo and Auri.
i'm planning on picking her up for my next playthrough !! she sounds so fun and ik she's really well loved. it's kinda difficult travelling with a huge group so usually what i do is pick up three or four and run through a whole playthrough with them so i can hear as much of their radiant dialogue as possible. it's like Extra Fun when they all chat together, it starts to feel like a little family and i love it :')
for the record, so far the modded followers i've had are: cerwiden, inigo, lucien, kaidan, bishop, vilja, sofia, and a few from 3dnpcs (mostly anum-la and amalee bc they're perfect but i've also travelled with gorr, zora, duraz, rumarin, and a couple others). the next few on my list are recorder, hoth, auri, and khash!

From the Los Angeles County Library catalog.  They have 10 of Mio’s books on pre-order but nothing on LCC’s latest book even though I submitted a purchase request.  They have LCC’s other books so she is a well renowned author in the library system.  Anyway, here is a listing for juvenile literature with 18 copies in paperback version.

Thanks @maranzalla! I tag my bud @mybookswerealltome, my brujahbro @abadbadbrujah, @yoyobroworld, and @shadowknight1224. Only if you want to, of course.
Nickname: Mighty, Jeka
Zodiac: The Steed
Height: 5′2
Hogwarts House: I’m an American, I learned avada kedavra standing out in the backwoods in swimming trunks while shooting a glock at a tire swing like everyone else of class in this great country
Last thing I googled: The last interesting thing was saltwater crocodiles.
Song stuck in my head: Water - Ndidi Onukwulu
Number of followers: 800some
Amount of sleep: Ideally 6 hours. Any longer and my brain will refuse to function for the next 12.
Lucky number: “Oh, look, the badass of Chinatown! You want your fortune read, Ms. Superhero???”
Dream job: Tenured professorship at a middle-tier / non-Ivory Tower arts college where students are not exclusively upper-middle-class chadbro hellspawn who think they can physically threaten me just like they used to threaten Mom over their Xbox Live subscription
Wearing: Tank top and shorts, the uniform of coronasummer. This kills me a bit inside because I am a Fancy Woman, but I am not emotionally damaged enough to gussy up and sit around my apartment for the purposes of stimulating “workplace mindset”
Favorite song: Here - Alessia Cara, The Way I Do - Bishop Briggs, Meet Me in the Woods - Lord Huron, Dissolved Girl - Massive Attack, Your Woman - White Town, American Witch - Rob Zombie, Wolf - First Aid Kit, You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive - Patty Loveless
Aesthetic:
Attainable: battered combat boots, medieval maiden in a painting hair, ‘masculine’ posture (or any posture that isn’t about shrinking your body and personality into something more tiny, childlike, and dainty), a leather jacket on a red sheath, really good fountain pens, amber scents, scholar’s bumps and a dirty chai
Unattainable: a breast plate beautifully etched with horrific mythological imagery, a handful of honeysuckle, wild turkey feathers, “will betray the holy empire” vibes, that hilariously confused and embarrassing kind-of-british-kind-of-scottish-kind-of-shakespearean-theatre-company accent american actors do when trying to portray people from classical era civilizations. also eating fruit at all times
Favorite author: Jamaica Kincaid, Angela Carter, Jeanette Winterson, Zora Neale Hurston, Orhan Pamuk, James Baldwin, Karen Russell
Favorite animal noise: When a horse is excited to see you but you’re too far away to softly hello at so it goes weeeeeeEEEEEEEHEHEeHEEHEeeHEHEe
Random: I used to have a downhome redneck accent and I entertain my florid urbanite coworkers in Zoom chat by turning it on/off at will like some kind of literary industry Eliza Doolittle. They dig it. A little too much for me to feel entirely un-insulted by their squealing delight and I should probably stop, but what can I say, I live to clown about class differences for love

“The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.”
– Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture.
NAME: Esther Corbyn BIRTHDAY: November 14th 1677 GENDER: Cisgender female SPECIES: Banshee OCCUPATION: Zora delegate YEAR THEY JOINED ZORA: 1695 FACECLAIM: Christina Hendricks
HISTORY
TW: domestic violence.
To others, “unwanted” may be an adjective describing a worn out shoe or unwanted teddy bear, but to her it was a noun, a self-identifier, until she was welcomed into Zora. Esther Corbyn was found by a bishop who often boasted of his selfless nature, taking in a presumably orphaned infant with scarlet hair. He and his wife endured the wailing their new baby sang day and night, almost like clockwork as is normal for children so young. The crying worsened years later as young Esther reached womanhood, taunted by vivid nightmares, and her father threatened to beat the hysteria out of her. Clear tears trickled down freckled, rosy cheeks, and Esther tried to behave herself like never before, but heightened emotions continued to betray her.
One horrific night in 1690, Esther lay in bed inconsolable for twelve hours as she witnessed the upcoming Battle of Quebec. At her young age she couldn’t tell which side was right or wrong but saw the over-100 dead bodies laying in a stream of their own putrid blood. At his wit’s end her father, despite her mother’s insipid protests, handed Esther over to the Ursuline Sisters, a nunnery in Colonial New France. As they traveled into war-torn parts of the city of Quebec, Esther slowly put pieces together that she may be an advanced human because the dreams from previous weeks had actually come true for the poor victims of the city. She was young but intelligent and kept her findings to herself, having full knowledge that ‘witches’ were deemed daughters of Satan and would be killed upon sight. The lion’s den she and her father were nearing meant she was not safe from anybody. The nuns at the monastery gave Esther many teachings, and while reading and flora were some of her favorites, the beatings, constant supervision, and lack of any trust or liberty were not. Unable to hide the majority of her nightmares, the young banshee found herself being given blows to the stomach to hide her punishments for scaring the other young women and disturbing the abbey in the middle of the night. As the years slowly passed, Esther grew fluent in reading, writing, and speaking, but she was still a scared child with no support system.
After turning seventeen, Esther’s abuse worsened and she waited for the snow to melt before running away. As soon as April began, the young woman made it out of the city and into the woodlands, wandering for days. But freedom was better than being the helpless hostage she was all her life, and despite on the brink of death, she was happy. As her health diminished, she was found by the kindest face she had ever laid eyes upon, and taken into Zora. She learned of her species, of her healing blood, of her peers and mentors and what they could do. Some teachings may have been biased, but overtime her bruises healed and she returned to a healthy, steady weight. While excelling in school, she has had many positions in the town such as teacher, mentor, assistant, gardener, chef, and most recently a delegate of the town.
When asked where she grew up, often Esther Corbyn will give a quiet, close-lipped smile and look down at her hands which have pulled her up her entire life. “I was born chapped in the snow, a juvenile with nothing to her name. But because of Zora and Her love for all, I can give back to the community which taught me the definition of love, when I was on the verge of disbelief.” While she does not speak of this silent, forbidden past, she does not change her name so she remembers where she has come from. The seasoned banshee has belonged to the invisible world of Zora for as long as she has been alive, and she has no interest in the outside world. But the wars knocking at their door remind her of that dream many years ago, and she does not wish for history to repeat itself.
