asdfghjkl that is so cute! here’s your fluffy drabble (it’s 958 words omg) i hope you like it!

Saturday mornings for Jung Hoseok had meant taking out their dogs for a walk at their neighborhood park with his longtime best friend and crush, Min Yoongi.

He strolled up to Yoongi’s apartment with a bag filled with dog treats and toys in one hand and a leash attached to an energetic Mickey in another. He unlocked Yoongi’s door with his own pair of keys Yoongi had given him as the ‘token of their friendship and trust’.

“Who’s ready!” Hoseok yelled and swung the door wide open. His voice boomed through the apartment, raising it for the intention of waking up Yoongi who was sleeping quietly in his bedroom. Hoseok placed down the grocery bag onto the kitchen counter and was greeted by a special someone.

“Holly, how are you buddy?” he crouched down to pet him. Holly barked nonstop and jumped up, pawing at his legs. It was no secret that Holly loved Hobi, especially since he was so good with dogs.

“You must be hungry, huh? Here.” Hoseok rose up to grab a treat from the bag and gave him his treat. “Don’t tell Mickey or Yoongi.”

“What do you think you’re doing?” a voice entered the room. Hoseok turned around and smiled.

“Good morning, sleepyhead! Are you ready for our walk?” Hoseok scooped up small Mickey in his large hands. For a moment, Yoongi almost smiled at how gentle Hobi was with his own dog.

Yoongi groaned, still trying to wake up. He had the cutest bedhead and was still in his soft monochromatic pjs- the ones Hobi had gotten him last Christmas. “Let’s just stay in today.”

“What?” Hobi pouted. “But the sun is out!”

Yoongi grabbed a glass of water and turned to Hoseok. It was so hard to say no to him, especially when he look incredibly soft with Mickey in his arms. Before Yoongi had the chance to reject his idea, he saw that sparkle in his eyes. The same one he had fallen for years ago.

He sighed after finishing his water, looking up at Hoseok. “Fine,” he muttered and crossed his arms. “I’ll go get ready then.”

Hoseok’s face lit up, “Yes!” He picked up Holly and held Mickey and him in his arms before dancing towards the living room. The dogs wagged their tails and Hobi started to sing. Yoongi grinned and no longer had felt tired.

They both took their usual route to the park with Mickey and Holly were bursting with their usual enthusiasm. They stopped at an open field after grabbing lunch and played for awhile. The sun wasn’t too harsh and the cool breeze of the spring morning had been enough to make both Hoseok and Yoongi at peace as they enjoyed the silence between them, occasionally exchanging smiles after watching their dogs play with each other. They didn’t have to say anything constantly at all to each other. And that’s what made them enjoy each other’s time even more.

When they had gotten back to the apartment, Mickey was fatigued and fell asleep on Yoongi’s couch. Holly, however, was still energetic and wanted to continue to play.

“Why don’t you be like Mickey and take a nap?” Yoongi suggested to him even though he knew that Holly had no intention of obeying.

Hoseok shook his head and laughed, “Let him be. I’ll play with him.” He sat criss crossed on the floor by the couch and started to call Holly over.

“No,” Yoongi said firmly as he sat down to rub Holly’s belly. “He’s my dog. Oh yes you are!” Yoongi started to change the pitch of his voice as he played with him. Hoseok raised an eyebrow at him as he stroked Mickey’s head as he slept. He placed a small blanket over him and continued to watch Yoongi play with his dog.

Holly had made Yoongi so happy, always giving him company when he lost inspiration to write songs. Always there when Hoseok wasn’t. He observed the facial expressions he made as he interacted with Holly. He’d scrunch up his nose and make cute little fishy faces as he talked to him. His sturdy hands were gentle as he stroked Holly’s fur. Yoongi was glowing as he warmly smiled at his dog. Hoseok smiled at the sight. God I love him, he had thought. I could watch them all day together for the rest of my life.

“What?” Yoongi snapped his head to look at him and stopped playing with Holly.

It took a several seconds for Hobi to realize that his previous thoughts were said out loud. His cheeks started to tint to a pink color as his bit his tongue and looked away. “…nothing.”

Yoongi smirked, “Nothing, huh? Nothing about about loving me?”

“I was talking about Holly,” Hoseok defended himself a little too quickly and turned away from Yoongi so he wouldn’t be able to see his face get red.

Yoongi quietly laughed and patted Holly’s head. “Well, I love Holly more.”

Hobi quickly spun around to look at him, obviously hurt by his words. He tried to hide his envy, but he failed to realize that he had been pouting.

Yoongi deciphered his face and smirked. “Are you jealous of a dog, Jung Hoseok?” he chuckled, finding the situation quite funny.

“N-no,” he crossed his arms and told himself not to hide his face anymore. His heart was pounding so loudly in his chest that he had almost missed Yoongi’s next words.

“I feel the same way about you…and Mickey.”

There was that same silence that they had shared previously in Yoongi’s tiny apartment. They glanced each other and didn’t say anything more. No words, just smiles.
