After saving the land before them Zelda and link were tied and they need to sleep. So they went on there Horse to the Village to Link’s house. As Zelda was so happy she was also glad to know that all that had happened was all in the past.
Zelda was so happy to not be in the Castle trying to stay awake. Everything was fine now she was with Link. When they got about 4 hours away Zelda saw that there were some people out in the distance. She had not seen people in forever she said to link to set up camp for the night and she would go talk to the people and she would come back with some food so they could cook.
Link looked at the people in concern I will be fine just go set up camp he nodded his head. Zelda loved to see the blue sky and the birds and the sway of the grass she never wanted to it to end. When she started talking to the people they were a little of but she just thought that they were excited to see her they just offered bananas to her. All at once she remembered that Link told her about a Yiga clans they would look like a normal person but they were not.
she screamed “Link” he came running at full speed and right on time the Yiga clan members were not the week kind but the much harder to kill ones. One did have a bow though Link killed the one with a sword first but the one with a bow was so fast Link told Zelda to run back to camp she didn’t want to leave him alone but she went behind a big rocks and hid.
Zelda Hurd nothing but a sweet sound of a little bird chirping in the distance. Then she heard a scream it sounded like a link she ran all the way to him the Yiga was not dead but it retreated because it has fulfill its duties. It had shot Link right in the chest with his bow 4 times he was wheezing and gasping for air. Link grabbed two of the arrows and pulled them out. Zelda squinted with fear she knew that it needed to be tended to right away. But all she had was bananas and a small cloth she was watching him grab the other two arrows and he was pulling them out. He Was in a great amount of pain. She tried to talk to him for the very first time she said “ we need to get you to a stable first but we then will rush to Hatnao village”. Link tried to speak but the pain took over.
“shh you need to save your strength right now” Zelda said. She could tell that he Was in A lot of pain. Blood started to turn his clothes red and Zelda new that she will need to hurry or he wouldn’t make it! she said to him can you get on the horse he said. I-can try-to get on…. She was getting so worried that he wouldn’t be able to make it. She helped him get on the horse and they started to ride.
after about an hour or so it started to get worse they were about 20 minutes away from the staple. And he fell off his horse Zelda jumped off and rushed to the side. He was Groaning with pain as much more blood came out. At this time he was as white as the cloud He was barely breathing and struggling when he was. They finally got to a stable she found some cloth and wiped off the wound with some water. He was wincing with pain she didn’t want it to be painful but she wanted to be clean.
she turned one of the horses in so they could ride together in and he can rest. Zelda did not notice how much blood he had Lost buddy was struggling because of the blood loss they were almost to the village about only 30 minutes away when it started to get worse blood was rushing out now and Zelda was worried. The time before his eyes were open but his eyes started the clothes slowly.
Zelda knew it had to be because of blood loss or was that the reason she turned around and stop the horse she put her hand to Link’s for head he had a very high fever. She knew that the fever was going to cause some pain and some discomfort but she knew she had to get to the village that was all of her concern. when she made it to the village people came running out of their houses link was not awake anymore so They took him to his house and laid him down on the bed. Zelda fell asleep on the bedside Well they tend to his wounds.
She was still very worried for him but than her friend pura came in she said check it her normal thing she looked at link and said what happened Zelda explain to the story as pura made some food on the stove for when he woke up and fore them of course. They talked for hours then Link woke up wai-r am I… don’t worry you’re in your house he fell back asleep after about 20 minutes he was obviously exhausted from blood loss and a fever. After he was all better and able to walk again I Zelda and him continue their adventures as one! The end. Thank you so much for your kindness and your help for your love and kindness always gives me energy.❤️❤️❤️ I just want to ask if you can draw like a little seen out of this you are such an inspiration to me 😊

It's sweet that Link tells her to get to safety while he rushes to protect them both! 😭#I was really worried about Link when the Yiga shot him so many times!!!#and Zelda only had bananas and a small cloth! That's not enough to treat such severe wounds oh no!!!#he pulled all those arrows out himself?!!! no wonder he was in such a great amount of pain! OUCH that sounds horrible!!! 😭😭😭#treating a wound hurts but Zelda's right it's more important for it to be clean!#the wound sounds so painful I'm so worried about him.. poor zelda wondering if he's going to make it! 😭#and now he has a fever too oh no?!! I can feel what a rush theyre in when they arrive at the village; Zelda thinking only of getting there!#HE'S OKAY!!! I'm so relieved he was able to recover from that incredible amount of blood loss!! 😭😭😭#I hope Zelda will stay by his side and hold his hand while he recovers! I love that they continue their adventures together!!#I'm so glad there was a happy ending! Thank you for sharing your story! I've never gotten an ask like this before!

I feel dumb for asking but uh
What's yiga clan?
*EVIL GRIN*
Oh anon lemme teach you a lesson-
*A H E M*
Cw: small spoilers for botw and TOTK!
The yiga clan is a clan/group of enemies that appears in the legend of Zelda, Breath of the wild. They were originally from the sheikah clan, ten thousand years prior to the events of BOTW, before they broke off from the skeikah clan, and refusing to fall under the kingdom of hyrule's rane, and they latter join in supporting Ganondorf's cause.
Their mission is to destroy link and anyone else who might get in the way.
They are most recognizable in their Red clothes and mask, but at times the may disguise themselves as a traveler in need (it's unsure if it's just them under the mask or not..)
They are also well known for their love towards bananas. After defeating one they will likely drop their weapon, some rupees, and a mighty banana (which gives tier attack up when cooked)
In BOTW, one of your main quests is to infiltrate the yiga clan hideout to retrieve the Gerudo's Thunder Helm. You use bananas to distract the sentry's stationed all about the hideout.
In the second game however, TOTK, there is no main quest for the yiga clan. In stead you are able to get the yiga clan armor, and as long as your wearing it, yiga will not attack you. Though disguised yiga will get mad at you for walking around in the outfit, as well as the gerudo, who will threaten you, as well as throw you in jail if you even if you only have the mask on.
The yiga Clan's leader, Master Kogha is mentioned quite a bit by yiga members and just in general. Honestly they made him sound scary and made it sound like this boss fight(s) we're gonna be hard smh.
The clans right hand is Sooga, who according to the AOC dlc is like. Kogha's adoptive son, who we dont see at all in BOTW or totk. It's believed that due to the timeline spilt AOC, Sooga was only in that timeline and not in the main timeline of botw.
Anyway, you link end up "killing" master Kogha in the first game- well actually he ends up killing himself. He makes a spiked metal ball that is far to big and it ends up rolling him into the large pit in the Yiga hideout.
In the second game however, he's somehow still alive, and has a more prominent role in the story. You find him in 4 mines inside the depths, trying to get a steward construct to work, whom link is the only one who can activate it. You fight him 3 times of him doing this, one of him on a boat, one of him driving around, and one of him flying using a glider. In the last mine, the Rito depths mine, however, he takes control of a zonai construct. And the fight can be a real pain if you don't know what your doing. But once you defeat him, he gets very annoyed and mad at you, and.. poofs a rocket bundle with something sharp on it. He goes on a slight monologue, waving his hands around, but the rocket bundle is homed to his hand? I think. Basically how joycon works. Anyway, he turns on the rockets, and they fly at him and not link, sending him up out of the depths. Now normally you'd think he'd be fine, but the chasm to get into the mine is in a cave under Rito Village. So he likely smacked into the ceiling (but probably unlikely seeing how he can teleport, and his original track record. But who knows! I don't think they'll make a third game for botw, due to the time loop being completed once again)
that went on a lot longer than expected.
In summary
The yiga clan are a bunch of bananas loving ninjas, with a smart but goofy boss 👍

Words cannot fully describe just how happy I am that Kohga is alive. My mans fell into a place full of absolute hellish nightmares and went “aw hell yeah time to build things”
He’s so caught up on needing Link’s magic but like- my guy could have a science job with Purah and Robbie with how well he’s handling living in the depths- I think we should be allowed to bring him up to the surface and insist he be given benefits

does sheik also hate bananas?
(and if so do u think he'd keep a little stash in his room for link??)
well I think all yiga are hard wired to love bananas, but I do think he'd still (a little reluctantly) save some for link

Hi hi!!!!!!!! So I am curious. For LatL, which of the Links is the most fun to write?? I love them all very much and am holding them in my hands like fruit gummies
love heros-shade-fanclub
AAAAAAAAAAA
Hi hi hello!! You have no idea how happy this makes me!!
I don't really have a singular favorite, it's more the dynamics. Sprout and Squire are a lot of fun because of the banter, but right now my favorites are probably Birdie and Grasshopper!
I love their silly dynamic, and Grasshopper genuinely thinking Birdie is an idiot always makes me giggle
Thanks for the ask @heros-shade-fanclub, you made my day!! <33

I‘ve listened to 'Man on the Internet's recent "TOTK Bytes - Master Kohga" a lot. It‘s so much fun.
youtube
Tumblr media
The part where Kohga sings, "I‘m loaded with potassium", made me wonder "What even IS potassium?" So I googled it. Potassium is an element of the periodic table, the number 19 precisely, and has the symbol K. In German, it‘s known as 'Kalium'. And then it clicked. What has quite a bit of 'Kalium' or potassium? Bananas! So, when Kohga sings about being loaded with potassium, he refers to the fact that he eats a lot of bananas. 🍌🍌🍌
Makes me even more appreciate this song.
Glory to Master Kohga.

First Meeting
The crickets were chirping quite loudly as the Mistress and her son walked through the jungle in the hunt for the Mighty Bananas. It was supposed to be a peaceful hunt. Until the sky turned dark and started storming, lightning striking the ground.
The Mistress knew Faron had storms but not ones like this. She notices a large being with three heads towering over her and Manzano. Lightning had struck her, causing the young Yiga to scream in fear. The three headed beast snaps its jaws at the young boy before a sharp blade inserted itself hilt deep in the throat. It dropped to the ground and exploded into purple mist.
The young Master looked around for whoever threw that blade before hearing a gruff and deep hum from above him. He looked up and saw a tall boy hanging upside down from a large branch. But he wasn't using his legs to hang upside down. He was using a tail? How can Hylians have tails?
The tall boy jumps down from the branch and walks over the monster parts to retrieve his sword. He had some sort of limp to his walk. Paw like tracks were imprinted in the mud. Just what kind of Hylian is this boy?
"You are welcome," the deepened voice hummed out before turning his head to stare at the young Master. He had a resting annoyed face that made him look.. intimidating. "It is not like I saved your life."
"Well you WERE a bit late! You didn't save MY mother!"
"Aaaaaapologies for being SOOOOO late to the hunting party. I am as slow as a Hyrulian Bass."
"What...?"
"A saying from Lurelin mother taught me. She lives nearby. Come.. let me take you to her."
And with that, the massive and stoic teenager walks off with a limp. Manzano noticed that the boy's spine was covered in a strange fuzz. In fact, he did look a bit cat like in the facial region. Kind of like the young Master! he was starting to get strange feelings for this kid.
The two walked towards a well made house. The taller of the two crouched down, holds up a finger and sticks the claw like nail into the keyhole. A click was heard and the boy stood up again. He had to duck to walk inside, Manzano soon to follow. He looked around but what caught his attention was the fruit bowl full of Mighty Bananas. His mouth waters at the sight of it.
He went to reach for one before a monstrously large hand wraps around his small wrist. His face flushed red with embarrassment but also with admiration.
"No. Don't grab those. They are for father when he comes back." the low voice hummed again.
The young Master felt like an arrow was shot through his heart and he was lovesick for this oversized soon to be Right Hand.

Link becoming certified as a Yiga Blademaster is legitimately the funniest thing to ever happen in a Zelda game, like it's not even a competition at this point. He's singlehandedly responsible for foiling every single one of their plans. He's the guy who pats a sobbing Kohga on the back and assures him that they'll get Link for sure next time. All the footsoldiers love him because he brings them Get Well Soon Bananas after a failed attempt on Link's life lands them in the infirmary. He staggers into the hideout one afternoon, beaten half-to-death from a surprise encounter with a Stone Talus, and tells the Clan that he was attacked by the Hero. They storm across Hyrule in a rage, seeking vengeance for their fallen comrade. Meanwhile Link has a nice long soak in the breakroom's hotspring and listens to Kohga furiously scheming 12 new ways to finally kill that blasted Hero.

Wait I want you to explain how the yiga were right. I’m inch rested
the sheikah’s technology was destroyed and hidden by hylians bc the they scared of them becoming “too powerful” and overthrowing the royal family
as is stated in the game a lot of the sheikah just continued to serve them but the ones who didnt broke off to become the yiga clan. obligatory “killing and stealing and serving someone who wants to destroy the world is bad” but they were 100% right to be pissed tf off by what the hylians did.

I wonder how many of the Yiga clan members are secretly pro-Hyrule/pro-Link and just joined because they love bananas, messing with Zonai machinery, want to explore the depths with other people, like the newfound sense of identity/anonymity/lifestyle, like their snappy outfits, and/or see them as slightly more capable at defending themselves against monsters than normal folk.

---
The yiga. A faction of Ganon worshipping traitors formerly of the Sheikah clan, whose main objective is to kill the Hero known as Link (in other words, himself). Known for their distinctive red body suits and white masks. And, strangely enough, their love of bananas.
They were also currently at the very top of Link's (until recently non-existent) shit list, because AM had deemed their threat level too great to allow them to meet each other freely. As Blue had told him, AM's profession placed them at greater danger than the average citizen to the assassins' blades. What that profession was, Link was not told (despite his pleading and intense stares and even one memorable attempt to bargain for the information), but it was deemed necessary to maintain distance because of this.
There were plenty of other useful things in the book too. Not a letter or a note or even a small bundle of documents. A book. An honest to Goddess book. Because there was nothing else the ridiculously thick, neatly piled collection of leather bound miscellaneous papers, maps, diagrams, notes and documents could be. It was the thickness of Link's hand for goodness sakes.
Thankfully, Blue had taken mercy on him (and his desire to get moving as soon as possible) and bookmarked the pages and maps that would be most useful to him. All while giving him that bland, graceful smile of hers and explaining that AM was a very proactive information gatherer, but that they didn't always consider that not everyone wanted to know the exact region Sneaky snails bred in or where the highest priced wheat could be found.
Link very deliberately didn't tell her that he did, in fact, find those very interesting topics to learn about (and that he would be reading through the entire book when he got the chance. later). Because he was still stung that she'd given him a condescending little smile (smirk, it was a damned smirk and Link knew it) when he'd tried to bargain with her for more information on AM.
In total, he'd spent three days in Hateno, gathering information (as though the book wasn't enough), gathering supplies (because as many as were in the slate, it didn't have everything a warrior would need to maintain his gear. Blue's words, not his) and getting to know the people around the area.
Also, armor. Costume fitted (Link didn't think too hard about how Blue had gotten his measurements) as to AM's specifications before they'd left town. The order arrived a little later due to his (apparently) small size causing complications with some of the straps.
Honestly, it felt good. It felt familiar with a hazy kind of comfort that spoke of his body's remembrance of such armor resting upon it often. And suddenly, in that moment, the thought that he had once been a knight didn't feel so far off, despite having no memory of it and very little desire to become as such again.
Ready to go (finally) he put on his boots, tightened the straps of his new (fitted. maybe he'd see about getting his Sheikah armor fitted as well if he was in the area) hyrulian armor set, and took one last shot before departing.
"Where can I get more bananas?" Link tried, going for casual but coming off far too intense for it to be anything but prying. "For the Yiga problem."
Blue just smiled (small and condescending, and so frustrating) before replying evenly. "AM has that well in hand I'd imagine." The knowing glint in Blue's eyes put a pout on Link's face. "It's best you focus on your mission, Courageous One." Then she smiled genuinely. Just a bit, but enough to ease Link's heart as she continued. "Fear naught for your beloved AM. No harm shall befall them while my sister haunts their shadow."
Link believed her. And with that little bit of reassurance, the Hero of Hyrule set out into the world once more. With courage in his heart and his goal ever at the forefront of his mind.
Defeat the Calamity guy. Meet AM. Travel this vast, wondrous world with them for the rest of their days. Or, maybe one day settle down more permanently in Hateno and open a food stand.
Anywhere life took them. Whatever you wanted. This was the beginning of his new life after all, and he was so eager to spend it with you.
---
You stared up at the quickly growing pile of bright yellow fruit with something like regret stabbing at your heart. Just thinking about how much rupees you were about to drop on this one purchase alone was enough to put a hitch in your throat. It was enough to have you contemplating a long walk off that equally long (absurdly long) wooden bridge just next to the stable.
When you'd stopped at Lakeside Stable for the night and told Adino you'd pay him market price for any bananas he brought back to you before you left. You hadn't expected him to take that as a challenge. You hadn't expected Skims to get involved in it as well. And you most certainly had not expected Red to show up out of nowhere with a pile rivaling (and maybe even surpassing) Adino's.
And thus, within the span of a few short hours, you were suddenly several thousand rupees poorer (not that that pantry amount even scratched the surface of your accumulated wealth, but you digress) and many, many bananas richer.
At least they tasted good.
"Not that I'm against your presence. But why are you here, Red?" You asked the red clad woman after (with a heavy heart) passing out everyone's pay for the bananas they'd brought you. (Skims and Red didn't even have the grace to look ashamed for muscling in on the quick profit either, the jerks.)
She didn't even pause from where she'd been fingering through her newly acquired (ill gotten) gains when she hummed playfully. "Oh. Gran thought it'd be wise to send along a little extra protection to ensure The Hero's benefactor remained unmolested during these most crucial of times."
The look on your face must have been confused enough to spur Red to explain. "Gran told us to keep you in the dark about our motivations, but I like you. So I'll tell you the truth, since you seem like the reasonable sort." She finally put the rupees down and turned to face you, eyes hardening into a serious shade of near black as she explained.
"The Hero is without his memory, and until recently, was without motivation to see his mission through with the urgency it requires. Had he been as he was before, just the mention of the Princess would have been enough to send the guy running, if you believe the rambling of nostalgic old gossip crows." Her lips twisted into something too complicated to decipher before it was neutral again.
"But he's not the man he used to be. He's not the princess's knight anymore for all his destiny would push him to be. And so, he needed a new motivation to get him moving." She gave you a smile, but it wasn't a nice one (it was one full of spite and pity, though only the pitying part was directed at you). "That's you. The guy loves you already. Call it situational stockholm or just that damned knightly instincts of his, but you are the apple of his eye." She tried to soften her smile into something humorous, but it fell short.
"Bottom line. You're the replacement motivation. Just until he gets enough of his memories back to get invested in the Princess' wellbeing." She flicked a rupee off the stump she'd gathered them on, expression very closed off as she continued.
"Whenever Mr. hero gets a little too comfortable playing house, we're supposed to dangle you in his face and get him interested again. That you seem invested in his success was just a bonus. Be it the Will of Hylia or just simple coincidence, doesn't matter. You're useful, and if it gets the Princess out of that Hell, we're willing to use that."
Another smile, sharp but honest. "It's our duty after all, to serve the royal family. I'm sure you understand." Despite the way the information settled sourly in your stomach you nodded, keeping your expression as even as possible.
She noticed though, and suddenly her hand was on yours (you hadn't noticed it tightening into a fist). "Don't fret, Apples." She smiled again, softer this time. Eyes lighted with a compassion that held such raw honesty despite her earlier words. "My sister and I are not going to let the elders use you like that. You might have asked yourself why Bluey isn't here instead, since, you know-" She smirked, side-eyeing Adino who'd gone some distance off to try to find more bananas (to take more of your rupees, the little bastard).
"We will fulfill our duties. For the protection of Hyrule and everything we love. But not at your's or your dear Hero's expense. At least, not like that. You see, Bluey has something I do not, and that is a gentle touch. She'll take care of the Hero in the way he needs, not the way that'll get the fastest results." Her smirk widened. "And she's got more of a rebellious streak than me too. Trust in her. She'll protect your dear Hero. Even if she has to spit in the elders' eyes to do it. She never could put her heart aside for the sake of duty."
You were silent for a time, digesting her words with the weight and attention they deserved, before looking back to her. A smile on your lips, and your hand out before her in the gesture of a shake.
"I look forward to doing business with you then, Red." You began, letting the edge of your resolve sharpen your eyes and embolden your words. "Let's do our best to protect Link and save Zelda. We'll give it everything we've got."
Red grinned, full and bright and smug (so unbearably smug, like she had won the lottery. which they didn't have here, and you were not interested in introducing any time soon either). "I knew you were gonna understand. The Goddess wouldn't choose just anyone to guard her chosen's heart."
You blinked. "What?"
Red picked up another rupee, flicking it at you. "What~?"
---
Now, off to work! And then the shadows to rest.
