Pairings: Ghost x Wife!Reader

This is my personal AU, I don't think anyone has written on little Ghostie before I did. Not to say that there aren't any works on Dad!Ghost and his kids however Ghostie is a character of mine who holds such a special place in my heart, especially after I started writing more about her and how she acts around everyone.

Possible ships: Farah x Alex (Faralex)?? Alejandro x Rudy (Alerudy)?? Price x Nikolai (Nikprice)??

I know Halloween season is over but y'all can't do anything about this, it's been cooking in my brain for a while now. (Some of these are just regular scenarios though) Ghostie is back y'all!!!

❥ Ghostie who simultaneously made her way into convincing the Taskforce to go with her trick or treating, having her little army uniform that was commissioned for her, a bit visible underneath her pink puffy jacket. Yeah I don't think she's going to stop wearing it unless she's outgrown it, in which case, that would just break her big heart :((

❥ Simon holding little Ghostie's hand while she toddles, she would NOT go anywhere without either her dad's, her mum's or her uncle Gaz's hand. Having her tiny chubby fingers gripping onto two of her dad's fingers as he guides her up big steps. Catching her when she accidentally slips on the slippery steps.

❥ The rest of the Taskforce being behind her like a bunch of guard dogs, ain't nobody is gonna try and scare her because of the big burly men next to her. Photo was provided by my favorite artist last Halloween, @puff0o0:

❥ Ghostie having the sweetest voice ever, she so polite, so much so that she makes the her dad and uncles chuckle at her. (This is how I imagined her voice to sound like)

"Say trick or treat.." Gaz whispers, coaching her from behind as someone from the house opens the door. Two women in costumes, holding a big candy bowl.

"trwick or trweat.." Little Ghostie mumbles, far too shy and almost hiding behind her uncle.

"What a cute costume you have there, here, take these ones" one of the women said, adding the candy to Ghostie's little basket.

"Thank you!" Ghostie exclaims, making the two girls awe at her politeness and eagerness.

❥ Yeah Ghostie definitely pronounces Halloween as "Ha-Hoween".

❥ I can't help but think that they came across that one house with a sign that said "leave your single dad's number if he's attractive" and as a joke, uncle Gaz threw in a piece of paper with peepaw Price's number on it, only to have peepaw Nikolai fish it out of the candy bowl when he thought no one could see him.. but Ghostie did.

Not Halloween related:

❥ Safe to say that when uncle Gaz doesn't like someone, neither does Ghostie, if you all can recall that cutscene from mw3, Gaz did NOT even bother to acknowledge Philip's existence. That being said, Ghostie gives the nastiest side-eyes to him the moment he even opens his mouth. (Yeah she got from her dad)

❥ Ghostie absolutely loves getting head pats and giving them, to her, it's one of the best forms of praise. Anyone gives her head pats gets to witness her absolutely adorable reaction, the way her eyes light up, those little lips curling into a smile causing her chubby cheeks to be prominent and her eyes squinting. Mostly loves doing it to uncle Soap, because the mohawk is fluffy.

❥ Maybe at some point, when Philip decides to behave then he can earn the head pats from Ghostie.

❥ Meals with the Taskforce and Ghostie are a certified hit, she has quite the appetite and she shows it. Simon takes it upon himself to always does what his wife does at home when he's out with Ghostie, bringing her silicone bib and baby utensils. (Even the bulky ass highchair attachment that he keeps in that back of his car/truck)

"More please..." Ghostie says, making grabby hands, in the middle of chewing after observing that her plate is yet again empty.

Price chuckles, looking at Simon who was now careful about the amount of food to add on Ghostie's plate because the toddler is on her third round of food.

❥ Ghostie enjoys clapping her hands and anything as well, especially after eating and being satisfied.

❥ Ghostie is into tea, her dad got her hooked on it.

"Aye, what about you Ghostie? What'd you like?" Soap asks the little one who's currently keeping herself busy with her custom coloring book.

"Tea!" She says, looking up for a bit to Soap before focusing back on her coloring.

"You heard her Johnny, make that two.." Simon says with a pretty firm pat on the back for Soap.

"Fuckin' Brits..."

❥ Auntie Farah and uncle Alex are the babysitters when uncle Gaz, uncle Soap and peepaw Price ain't around. Farah loves that kid to death, if she was being honest, she saw a lot of resemblance between Simon and Ghostie. Of course there are looks were, she's basically a carbon copy of him but also mannerisms;

❥ Ghostie who copies her dad, being adamant about being cleanly and tidy, oftentimes catching people surprised that she tidies up after herself immediately after playing before moving onto another set of toys, coloring books and coloring materials. She notices and mirrors how Simon is consistent in keeping things tidy and out the way.

❥ Whenever Ghostie is at home with her momma (you) and Simon had to run errands, she always wakes up first, seeing how her dad gets up early too.

Ghostie rises up with a soft yawn, rubbing her tiny eyes with her hands, she looked around at the still dimly lit room. She turned her head from side to side looking for her dad.

She was met by him standing and dressing himself up in a black hoodie to go out and buy something. She gives him that cheek to cheek smile before leaning her cheek and closing her eyes, mandatory kiss from dad before he left.

"Alright pumpkin, dada's leaving now. I'll be back later, be good and don't give momma a hard time.." Simon reminded her after giving her cheek a kiss.

"Okay dada- promise.." Ghostie yawns mid sentence.

❥ Ghostie who, ever since she way younger, loved to cup her dad's face and nuzzle her nose into his. A tradition that Simon doesn't know if he's ready to see it go when she grows up. Neither is he ready for her to start correcting the words she's been pronouncing wrong;

❥ Dad!Simon whose heart broke once he realizes that the "I love you"s will slowly start to be less and less when she becomes a teen, he's silently wishing to himself that it won't be reduced to not being said at all. You had to reassure him that it won't happen, not when Ghostie's the sweetest little girl anyone could ask for and Simon is the best dad anyone could as for.

❥ Uncle Alejandro and uncle Rudy being the seasoned uncles who happened to be absolutely adored by Ghostie, not as much as uncle Gaz but let's be real here, no one is on uncle Gaz's level.

❥ Uncle Alejandro and uncle Soap having bets and arguments on who gets to reach their language to Ghostie while she just sits there on uncle Rudy's lap, sipping on her apple juice, quite entertained.

❥ YOU CANNOT TELL ME THAT RUDY ISN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING HER TO SLEEP OR NAP, that man is a walking heater. I can just see him standing there while holding her in his arms while she's trying her hardest not to fall asleep, yawning "Uncle Rudy.." before immediately snoring, snuggling her face into his soft blue hoodie shirt. (@icarustypicalfall is living for this, I just know it)

❥ Alejandro who gets smacked in the back of the head by (his husband) Rudy for being too loud and almost waking Ghostie up. (Alerudy when? This is a joke to y'all Alerudy haters, I like the ship, it's cute. Not sure if it's canon here in my AU, up to you guys to decide)

❥ Laswell and her wife absolutely fucking adore Ghostie, shit she makes them want to have kids, she has almost the same effect on almost everyone. Silently making her uncle Gaz wish that he isn't single.

❥ Let's be real here, peepaw Nikolai was the one who Ghostie jammed with while listening to heavy metal. He also got her this mini leather jacket that matched his, with her nationality country/countries flag/s embroidered patch on the side. I can just imagine her little head bangs that peepaw nik taught her 🥺😭.

❥ Also Ghostie has access to almost everyone's prized stuff, uncle Gaz's and peepaw Price's hats, uncle Soap's medals and even peepaw Nik's jacket which looks like she's swimming in it when she's wearing it.

❥ This pic is so Dad!Simon and Ghostie coded:

❥ Something tells me that Simon would send you this pic and you'd probably have a heart attack, your husband isn't the best driver after all but you trust him since he won't put your daughter in imminent danger.

❥ I think most of the time, Ghostie is in her uncle Gaz's arms and/or lap while he sits on the passenger seat, doesn't really matter who's driving.

Sidenote: Is it normal to be so excited over something you bought? I literally bought my first ever concealer today, a mascara that I've been looking for and lip oil. I was so excited that I squealed when I got home and immediately used them. Any makeup tips that you guys have? Sort of a beginner at this stuff.. Also does anyone whose had viral posts ever feel like their popular strike is over because none of their works get as much attention? Looking at all my recent posts and hyperventilating because the numbers are lower by so much.

More random details from the depths of RE8

With the excuse of trying some shiny new mods, I've been replaying RE8 lately for the umpteenth time. Given the number of hours I've already poured into this game, you'd really think there'd be nothing left to find by this stage ‒ yet here I am, finding still more details I'd somehow missed the first half-dozen times through.

For one, there's the fact you can actually find Eva's grave in the graveyard outside the church. As the only photo we ever see of her shows her as a baby, I'd assumed she was still a baby when she died, but turns out, she was ten years old.

"Eva, June 1909 ‒ August 1919

May you slumber for only a short while"

As expected, her death of the Spanish flu took place in 1919. There's some semi-legible text on the stone, but it doesn't match the caption ‒ it's just the same generic filler text you'll find on half the gravestone assets in this game.

For another, there's Rose's baby monitor. I'd noticed Ethan turning the thing on when he puts her to bed, and even found the assets for its screen ‒ but since I'd never found the monitor itself, I assumed they must be unused.

Until this playthrough, when suddenly I'm just like, oh, there it is, sitting right on the table. You can even interact with it!

How did I miss this so many times? It is pretty easy to overlook, given you'll trigger the cutscene with Mia if you go much closer to the kitchen, but I'm still surprised I never spotted it before. (And you do have to wonder if there was ever any plan for it to show a glimpse of something more sinister than just a still-image of Rose sleeping.)

In other minor details, there's the bit where Ethan arrives on the outskirts of the village at 8AM. You can hear a clock striking 8 times as you get your first view of area.

Granted, this is not going to excite anyone who hasn't spent as long as I have putting together an hour-by-hour timeline of everything that happens in this game, but I still do love that they give you enough detail that that's even possible ‒ and this new timestamp fits right into that timeline. (And why yes I have just gone back and updated that post, what do you take me for?)

Speaking of assets I thought were unused, you know that hidden room under the castle you can't get into until later, where you have to solve a puzzle that involves setting a moroaica on fire? Have you ever looked closely at the tapestries decorating this place? Because I found them in the game files ages ago, and have been trying to figure out if they're actually in the game ever since.

Because seriously, look at these things!

Yes, that is a indeed a man with a sword and spear, wearing a hoplite helmet and sandals and nothing else. And the women seeing him from the front seem to be having a whole range of reactions to all that, er, weaponry being brandished their way. Isn't fine art wonderful?

Another asset I'd innocently assumed was unused is this wonderful bit of bullshit which was labeled simply 'antibow'. It wasn't until I took a long look at it that I realised what they meant was more like 'anti-B.O.W.', as in Bio-Organic-Weapon.

Yes, that is indeed a knife taped to some kind of grenade. Sure is one high-tech outfit we're working with here!

Only now do I spot that this is actually the bomb Chris chucks at the Megamycete in the cavern. It doesn't even come with the knife already attached, he just kind of sticks the knife onto the bomb and presumably straps some tape around them while the camera cuts away.

I still have so much more to share from my ongoing free-camera adventures, but I think we'll leave this one there for today.

more things about the livestream experience before i go completely insane.

(warning: this is going to be a long one)

1: why is [bishop] lisden's favorite song mulberry street and why is [bishop] sacarver's favorite (if i remember) the outside or stressed out....i just want to throw that out there

2: i absolutely adore the piano spread whatever thing tyler does before he goes and raps to migrane. i dont know what its called but when he runs his hand across the piano, it was good. how did he make it sound so good and musical...

3: why is the shy away livestream version the only livestream version that is on their official "the story" playlist??? i keep thinking about that (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3roRV3JHZzaU_kQ4-7uv-ahPbFabFmRW)

4: also thinking about how they cut off holding onto you before the outro. basically all there was of holding onto you was the "entertain my faith" part...thinking about the lore THERE. how a "good day dema" ad cut off the ending as well then they talk about how happy they are !! then how it goes to mulberry street after dan LISDEN says its his favorite then how it goes so blurry BEFORE THE AD??? ----"entertain my faith" sounds something like he..wants more from the religion but they cut him off from continuing the rest of holding onto you..like he got in trouble or something? i dont know man

5: "dema is bringing you this music collection that is vibrant with saturation"... "dema wants you to enjoy this collection"..."i just felt trapped before having this collection" ... "contentment"...."now that youve heard some of this collection you must be just like us, completely saturated"..."sometimes i close my eyes to try to escape...you know you cant escape sally...yes i know!" PROPAGANDA

6: why is he holding and grabbing his head so much. past the literal deadpan ass stare hes got through the majority if not all of the experience (like even while doing his little dances you'd think he'd be smiling during...), why does he grip his head so often-- i talked about this before but like what are they doing to him man he like grips his head in almost pain so much

7: also thinking about what the lore implications of jenna and debby being in this...because im pretty sure its shown jenna in levitate is a bandito i only assume debby was one too. why are they there?? were they caught too? or did dema make clones of them to use against josh and tyler?

8: "i cant wait to see you again"

9: ”in a world where this is as good as it gets…we miss you. we really do.”

10: also can we discuss the "CONTROLLED by" dma org and good day dema??? this photo is blurry as hell but CONTROLLED BY! not PRODUCTION OF! specific word choice..also dma org...dmaorg.info...why are clancy's letters posted on a website thats directly correlated with dema...letters from his time inside as well as time outside...can we like talk about that--like other than the obvious showcase that they have his letters and are using them to lie to the people, why are they going through dmaorg?? if clancy isnt directly with dema why are they--why are they going through there???

11: the whole cutscene before lane boy "there was a wonderful structure to the city that put my cares to rest and the responsibilities of the day seemed to be accomplished with minimal effort. once a task was taught and understood, our obligations timely, and it felt secure knowing tomorrows duties would be accomplished with the same efficiency. we all worked to represent our bishop with honor knew that each inhabitant of our region had a like-minded dedication to consistency....why do i kneel to these concepts? tempted by control, control by temptation. stay low, they say. stay low," then the direct contradiction of the redecorate rap he inserts, “with the bells and the whistles scaled back like an isolated track, and he feels trapped when he's not inebriated fair to say he's fairly sedated most days of the week. he might have made it if he lived on a different street. i repeat, scaled back and isolated he says he likes an open schedule but he mostly hates it if you're running to his room, take a breath before you break-in put your ear up to the door, tell me can you hear him saying?” using clancy's letters to show praise to dema then clancy (tyler) directly contradicting being like "no i hold zero praise for this city" and saying how hes isolated and sedated when hes not preforming--how he ALMOST made it out. how if he lived A LITTLE closer to the walls he wouldnt be there right now-

12: the way the old songs are "SCALED BACK AND ISOLATED" ???? A SCALED BACK AND ISOLATED TRACK????

13: the way ned is missing in chlorine when he was such a big part of chlorine

14: AGAIN this shy away version. one-why is it so important to the story, two-the 9 chairs for 9 bishops around the table, three-i fucking love the guitarist by josh i love his energy, four-THE WAY HE BREAKS A GLASS WHEN TALKING ABOUT BREAKING THE CYCLE IN HALF???, THE SCREAM !!!! so many things

18: THE MOCKING OF THE BANDITOS WITH THE FUCKING JUMPSUIT/HEAVYDIRTYSOULD PART?? why would dema do that? why would the bishops actively make josh and tyler look like the banditos if it wasn't just a mock? they dont like the banditos i thought why would they have them dressed up like that? like torchbearer bringing the torch to the stage and the look josh has on his face-then tyler also being in a bandito outfit. like--it has to be mocking his attempts. mocking the banditos or SOMETHING

19: heathens being in the livestream makes me think a little too but i dont know. "all my friends are heathens take it slow, wait for them to ask you who you know. please dont make any sudden moves you dont know half of the abuse."

20: also first, what was that alarm that was sounded before never take it? what happened there? second, the lore people have posted about never take it and how it was about the bishops? the way it was played while the alarm was going off and it was almost messier filming...

21: HIM ENDING THE LIVESTREAM WITH "nobody's coming for me" and his deadpan look (sobbing)

22: again, bringing up sally sacarver and dan lisden. sacarver and lisden being bishop's names and hosting this livestream. then showing directly how the bodies they are controlling are deteriorating as the show goes on. "The rules are that you can only seize or control a dead body, and only for a short while."

23: also just the heavydirtysoul part. starting to think about the: "I tricked Nico into taking me outside the walls. I created a fiery diversion. I escaped." i just keep thinking about that and:

24: "we've come for you, we've got people on the way, no chances, none at all" the way this is direct quotes from dan and sally, who are bishops, and it is also direct lyrics (or close to direct lyrics) from no chances. it just keeps cementing itself on everything ive already thought about

25: past just the livestream experience what is with josh and the bucket hat lol. i love it but like.-

26: "you ask me if its real, i see your shifting eyes, you dig in your heels, i dig my hole to die" also wondering why the "live from the outside" version is here rather than the original.-is it important

27: his little dances are my favorite thing-

28: CAR RADIO...car radio. thats it thats the point. just the car radio part is everything to me--its giving old car radio performances and im living for it. though also old car radio performances? did they put it together like that on purpose?

30: "...you know you cant escape sally...yes i know!" IS THIS LIVESTREAM SHOWING CLANCY AND HOW HE DIDN'T ESCAPE EITHER?? SHOWING THAT HE HAS BEEN CAUGHT AND IF HE CANT ESCAPE, THE NOTORIOUS CLANCY, THEN YOU CANT EITHER???! SO MANY THOUGHT!!

DID THIS SHOW HOW MANY THOUGHTS I HAVE HERE. im going insane like i keep thinking about the lore implications of this goddamn livestream. i have more points (i will make a essay list whatever for it all so i don't go any crazier) but this is already a lot for one post. just wanted to like...throw this out there. i know some might be a stretch but please just hear me out. just hear me out :,)

I'm gonna be honest - along with OMORI pressuring the player into choosing the good ending lest Sunny kills himself, the whole DUET cutscene doesn't strike me as anything but very blatant emotional manipulation either. Every mention of it I saw was followed by fans talking at length about how thoroughly devastated they were left by that moment, but if you look past the Feels and focus on the Reals, what is there to be devastated about, really?

The (supposed) purpose of the cutscene is to show Sunny placating his depression by recalling the good times he had with Mari and his friends... except that is exactly what he's been doing via Basil's photo album throughout the entire game. That's what Memory Lane, which you have to go through right before the final boss, was there for. And just like the aforementioned two, the good times showcased in DUET are glurgy, meaningless fluff. They don't tell you anything new about the characters and they don't show them helping each other through thick and thin as people you could call "real" friends are supposed to. The fact that the cutscene itself looks like a PowerPoint slideshow or something you could theoretically cook up in Windows Movie Maker doesn't help, especially if you remove the music track altogether.

I think one of my "favorite" moments is Sunny and Mari meeting Kel and Hero, which is represented by the latter two literally popping out of thin air

You'd think that as a story with the power of friendship as one of its central themes, the game would show how the characters became friends in the first place and what makes them gel together, but no. This is all you get.

It's the same thing with Aubrey and Basil. The gang meets Aubrey for the first time while she's crying on the sidewalk before the game cuts to her introducing Basil to them. Was them comforting Aubrey over her lost shoe enough for her to befriend them? How exactly did she and Basil meet? I dunno, you tell me! Think about the plot so the writer won't have to!

So emotional. So peak. Two hundred thousand dollars was spent on this.

Speaking of Sunny and Mari, the cutscene's Peakest™ moment is the smash cut from a bright shot of Mari embracing a younger Sunny to a gloomier shot of the older Sunny sitting there all alone and morose, which delivers the message with all the subtlety of a nuclear bomb explosion

she passed on The Emo to him. truely devastating. also why do they both look malnourished. what the hell is this artstyle

Yes, game. I get it. The grass was greener when Mari was alive. That's roughly her gravestone's epitaph. What is the point of this? What am I supposed to cry about?

That brings me to what I believe is the main problem with DUET, and a problem with the game itself as well - the story doesn't put in any real effort to flesh out the characters you're supposed to feel bad for, yet expects you to feel bad for them anyway. Even after playing the entire 25 hours of this game, I don't know anything about Sunny, nor can I recall anything noteworthy about him except from him calling lemons "oragnes". I don't know anything about who Mari really was except that she's treated by the narrative as if she was Jesus in the flesh. They're not characters - they're effectively cardboard cutouts, and I have no idea why the game's imploring me to shed tears over two cardboard cutouts.

The cherry on top is Omori straight-up vanishing after the cutscene ends. One could argue that Sunny's victory was temporary, but that's not indicated - Omori seems to actually vanish once and for all after the game's events, and the main menu even features Sunny himself as opposed to Omori to mark the change. Because we all know that severe depression can be treated by thinking happy thoughts, right? tfw the powerpoint slideshow was so cringe that even the depression decided to peace out

Maybe I wouldn't have been as harsh if the story had Mari kill herself instead of it being a cover-up for manslaughter. Maybe then I'd have been able to see the tragedy. But given the context of the plot twist, all I can see is a coward and a liar soothing his well-earned guilt over committing a serious crime and lying about it in the most laughably melodramatic fashion possible.

Uh..doing this out of boredom!

SPOILER WARNING!!

1. Out of the main 6, my favorite in Dreamworld/Headspace is Basil. Out of the main 5 in real-world, my favorite is Kel.

2. My favorite side/NPC character is Kim.

3. My favorite songs from the OMORI ost would have to be Duet, Bready Steady Go, and You Were Wrong, Go Back.

4. My favorite boss is Bossman Hero.

5. The photos from Basil's photo album I liked most was the one picture of Aubrey eating a watermelon, and the arm-wrestle between Hero and Kel.

6. My favorite area in Headspace is the park area.

7. My favorite area in Blackspace is the main area itself, where you can see all the doors, and the one room where Basil explodes like a watermelon.

8. My favorite area in Faraway Town is the "hidden spot" in the park.

9. I like Real-world more. I don't have a specific reason why, though if I had a reason, I'd say because it feels like I spend hours in Headspace when playing the game.

10. Favorite ships? Hm.. I like cactiflower, suntan, and of course, HeroMari.

11. I kin Basil and Kel! I kin Basil because of his personality, which should already be enough.. hopefully. I kin Kel because of his personality, but also because of the way he is perceived from others' POV's.

12. My fav route in the game is to keep going outside every possible chance. My favorite ending in the game is the True-Ending.

13. I have very few I can think of right now, but one of the main ones I have is that Kel and Hero hug people tightly, though of course, Hero hugs more gently.

14. My favorite moment in the game is when Aubrey, Kel, Hero, and Sunny all hug together in real-world.

15. Something that stood out to me the most was Basil's obsession for Sunny.

16. Well, I think my fav might be obvious if you know my blog, but I like- Kel's skill "TICKLE" In game.

17. My favorite boss fight is fighting against Bossman Hero.

18. For me, the annoying part is having to grind levels because your level is "too low" so you can't defeat a boss until you grind more, which is a huge hassle for me.

19. Something I dislike about OMORI?!😲. Uh..nothing? ((If I think of something, I'll update this later.))

20. Something I wish was different about the game? Same thing as last question.

If I could change or add something, it would be adding more cutscenes or details in real-world and more details about characters interactions because--as we see that, for example, Aubrey and Hero don't really talk much. I wish there was at least some detail/or interaction between characters that don't talk to eachother much.

22. My reaction went kinda like this: "😶😮😲🤐...Damn.."

23. I was kinda just like- was in shock, but amazement when Sunny just- looked so unfazed falling down a hospital building. The amazement part being how the music just started playing, as I thought: "Wow..the build up..lead to a tragic ending but an amazing song choice." For the neutral endings, I was kind just like: "😶..." In shock I guess?

24. A scene that genuinely scared me was when I first played the game and encountered "DOROTHI" on the train. The music creeped me out, and so did the appearance of Dorothi.

25. In my opinion, the scariest things in the game are when you encounter the different variants of "SOMETHING" aka, MERCI, DOROTHI, CINDI, etc.

27. Omori changed me in a...hard to describe way. Anytime I just- think about the endings, the truth, and everything in deep thought, it makes me have an odd feeling in my stomach of uneasiness. Though, it made me happy when certain scenes/frames, go on screen.

28. I actually made a good amount of friends, though I'll name 3, or rather 2. I met an amazing best friend of mine through it, a really cool, smart, and nice friend of mine named 'Ollie', and- I used to be friends with the famous omori, gacha, youtuber named 'DANI'.

29. Yes, OMORI had led me down a huge rabbit hole. It led me to a game called "Needy Streamer Overload" and I absolutely love it. It also let me to a game called "Yume Nikki" which, I haven't played yet but hear that it's good. So, I plan to go into 'Yume Nikki' blind!

30. OMORI is special to me because it has an amazing plot, characters, areas, soundtracks, and everything! I genuinely like it a lot, and try to get as many friends as possible into it.

Continuing the Sketchbook

I felt inspired by that 'old Molluck' and I feel like I love that Molluck more now than I used to... I noticed more differences between the AO Molluck and NnT Molluck while working on this but I also did remember again why I dislike NnT... I'll write about that later in this post.

Man, I'm not even sure when was the last time I drew something like this... It's so rare that I draw 'full settings', I mean, a background, multiple characters, something that has a story etc. I'm just used to draw portraits because well, I have felt like I just cannot draw anything else... So, I took the challenge and especially when I didn't have direct references, I had to make this perspective by myself. I tried my best and hope that it looks alright. Also, I'm sorry for the quality of these. All these look better and smoother IRL. I only take a photo and edit it, so some details are lost too. But you can see the main thing, somehow, and the main details are there, like Abe's lil hand tattoo.

I actually planned something different for the second page but I wanted to draw this way too much ... I'm not sure why but this image was just stuck inside my head. This is kinda random too since I just added some stuff that came to my mind around the drawing. I basically just drew this all day since I felt like I do need a day-off... I barely keep any holidays, even for a day... I just keep feeling more and more tired...

But yes, man I just feel like I keep loving this Gluk more and more... I just noticed how this AO Molluck gives that certain feeling SoulStorm Molluck has.

(I love what like AO Molluck looks in this cutscene...) The same situation in NnT doesn't give me this feeling, so yeah, frankly, NnT Molluck is the worst version of him in my opinion. I had forgotten how artificial voice NnT Molluck has... I hadn't seen any NnT cutscene for like two years. NnT Molluck makes different sounds too, like AO Molluck makes some 'random murmur' sounds while NnT one growls. I love that murmur he makes, it's adorable... He kinda does it in SS too!

I also noticed that NnT cutscene doesn't have that 'Molock suckz' text, just now... I wonder why. I personally love that lil detail and the fact that the Gametee's RuptureFarms hoodie has that printed on it! Well, I still don't agree on that, though it depends on how we define 'suck' here; he does smoke a lot!

Oh, and I also realized how they changed what Molluck says in that cutscene in NnT too! He doesn't say 'Kill 'im!' anymore but something like 'Get toast!', if I hear right... Man, Molluck truly got softer there. But that toast thing tickled my dark humour... Yeah, when Molluck manages to catch Abe, he wants to make a good sandwich from him, put him between a bread, and before killing him, he asks from Abe: 'Whadda ya are?'. Abe replies: 'I'm a weak, pathetic, uneducated, shmuck of a slave sandwich'. Those were Abe's last words. The end.

I cannot help myself that I enjoy dark humour like that... Oddworld is just perfect for my humour! I have been joking after making that joke that welp, maybe being like all day with Molluck makes me be more like him too... Yeah, I don't hate Abe but for some reason, the only character I care about is Molluck. He just means so much to me... After all these years, I finally found a character that is 'perfect' for me. Well, I only like a few characters in general too... But none of them (but Molluck) feel 'right' for me, at least in the same sense as Molluck; it can take some time to realize it. I can like count with one hand the characters that feel somehow special to me; like one of them is like me as a villain, feels like my alter ego.

It's just kinda odd to think how 'the one' for me was Molluck... No one else has made me feel like he does... It's just so interesting but I love to have him as that one. When I saw him, in both AO and SS, before really getting into him, I felt nothing special toward him, didn't see anything special in his appearance either; I only liked Gluks in general. But then, that SS Molluck just started to feel like me as a Gluk and here I am!

Hi!!! It's no bother at all. This exact topic has haunted me for a long time, actually, so I'd love an excuse to ramble about it.

TL;DR: No, I don't think that Wesker is attracted to Rebecca. Take it with a grain of salt, have fun, and enjoy the sunglasses man to your hearts content.

Since Capcom nor the original RE2 team have ever come out with their exact intentions behind the Rebecca photo, we can only really speculate what they were trying to do there. Were they trying to hint that Wesker has some weird sexual obsession with Rebecca? Unlikely, IMO. Were they trying to sprinkle a little secret fan service into their game? YES, definitely!

It was pretty common for games of that era- especially Japanese games- to add some kind of fan service like that into their games, devs loved that shit. Still do. But because fan service has basically no reason behind it, they usually ended up adding it in really weird and random ways. In RE2, the only real place it would have made sense for the photo to be would have been the S.T.A.R.S office and, my guess is, since Chris's desk already had a lot of items connected to it, Wesker's desk just was the next logical conclusion for them. Re2make was just playing to nostalgia.

You also have to realize that if he really did have a thing for her, that probably would have come up at some point in literally any other way. Wesker mode in RE0 is explicitly just a fun little costume mode and an act of fan service in its own right. There isn't any changes to the story, cutscenes, or dialogue, only gameplay. As well, if he had a thing for her, you'd think it would have been considered important enough that OTHER games might have used it as a plot point. Like, re5, maybe? Perhaps they would have put her in Jill's role, or made Wesker come after her in some other way. Instead, she's just an unlockable companion for Chris, nothing more.

Anyway, sorry for such a long-winded answer to your question, but NO, I don't think Wesker is attracted to Rebecca. I think he is just a victim of unfortunate circumstances that have implicated him in having a thing for a girl literally 20 years his junior. Maybe I'm wrong, but as it stands I think you're safe to enjoy him as much as you damn well please, as long as you just don't think about it all too hard.

Lowkey slowly starting to lose it. My younger brothers have taken the liberty of informing me, repeatedly, that my phone screen savers--

--are of "That one kid in Shameless!"

As if:

1) I haven't already repeatedly told them that, yes, it is indeed Cameron Monaghan.

2) I didn't already know that Cameron Monaghan was in Shameless. They have both shown me multiple episodes of Shameless. I am aware that he's part of the ensemble cast. And wouldn't you know it, he has been in other things like Gotham and The Giver, too. And countless other films/TV shows. Because he's an actor. They do stuff like that.

3) They haven't literally watched my replay Jedi: Fallen Order on at least five separate occassions. And every single time a cutscene started, they both blurted out "Hey! That's the guy in Shameless!" Every. Single. Fucking. Time.

4) I haven't already told them on multiple occassions that Cameron Monaghan, one of their favorite actors of all time, plays the main character--Cal Kestis--in a Star Wars video game. A game that they repeatedly seem to forgot exists despite the fact I've been talking about it for over a year now.

5) They both, independently of each other, have come up to me with actual fan art of Cal Kestis, and said completely deadpan "Oh, look! Another person made a SW fan art of Ian from Shameless! Isn't that cool!?" Only for me to remind them, again, that the actor who plays Ian--you know, Cameron Monaghan, their favorite actor of all time in their favorite show of all time--is the main character in a SW game. The fan art is not of Cameron Monaghan--the adult man/actor--in a SW AU. It's fan art of Cal Kestis, the character. From the SW game that I've been playing.

6) Our sister literally bought me the pre-order for Jedi Survivor with a black and white printed photo, which was passed around from relative to relative. Only for our parents to then comment that said black and white photo had a picture of "That one actor that you guys love so much" on it.

I wish they were both pulling an elaborate prank on me by pretending to not know that Cameron Monaghan is Cal Kestis. But like ... no. They're not pretending. They are genuinely surprised every single time this happens.

The burden of being the eldest sibling is real, y'all.

RGG Tactics Karaoke Notes, for Shits and Giggles

Aoyagi: he's the protag so he gets his own song. Don't ask me what it is. I am not a songwriter. He also sings Bakamitai (the photo is Majima, with distressed Aoyagi and Nishida in headlocks) and 24-Hour Cinderella. There is a mandatory karaoke bit in Chapter 1 where he sings the latter with Majima and promptly gets noogied within an inch of his life for taking over the #10 spot (by a single thousandth of a point) on the leaderboard Majima was up to that point sweeping.

Chiba: Seems like a Machine Gun Kiss guy to me.

Sugihara: Haven't decided yet. Maybe he gets his own song? In any case, bringing Kuroshi along will result in some special accompaniment lines.

Shiori: Like a Butterfly, duet with Aoyagi. It is heavily implied though probably never stated outright that they briefly dated and split on friendly terms during the three-year timeskip between Chapter 2 and 3.

Doc Nakamura: Bakamitai because the video plays right into a running gag. We know he's married. He says it in so many words, multiple times. We hear rumors around town that his wife is smoking hot and possibly a famous model or an actress or at least should be. We might hear her voice once or twice but we will never, ever see her. And Doc will sing Bakamitai and the player will think ah, finally, we will see Mrs. Nakamura and the photo turns out to be something just... completely random and unrelated that is never, ever explained.

Akemi: Heartbreak Mermaid, obviously in her full magical girl regalia.

Nishida: Get to the Top, and bringing Majima along triggers some vicious roasting from the sidelines.

Minami: Kamurocho Lullaby, and he's just as bad at it in the minigame as he is in that cutscene.

Majima: Majima joins the battle roster at the end of the Kiryu Everywhere postgame plotline and brings all of his karaoke shit with him. Bringing OG Nishitani along will trigger some amusing interjections from the sidelines, which Majima will resolutely Ignore. If he's invited along and Nishida, Minami, or Aoyagi are singing, he will heckle them mercilessly.

Kuroshi: Doesn't join the roster proper until the postgame but does tag along as a guest at a few points in the main story. Does not sing but will accompany.

OG Nishitani: Joins the roster as a support unit in the postgame and definitely sings, though I haven't decided what yet. Bringing Majima along will trigger some amusing interjections, from both of them.

Yamaoka: Joins the roster in the postgame. Will not sing or accompany and will tell Aoyagi to go fuck himself and hang up if you try to invite him.

ADDENDUM: "Beefgnaw, isn't Aoyagi a literal chef? Shouldn't he get Hell Stew?" Ah. yes. no, actually. He'd probably appear in the video, but if anyone's going to sing that one it's going to be the as-yet unnamed hostess who has a side hustle as a vocalist in an all-girl death metal band. However, Ms. Death Metal would more likely get her own song.

We Have Always Lived in Hateno Village: Lets Play Tears of the Kingdom

I have utterly fucked off from the main quest at this point. Below the cut, I get another flashback sequence, briefly say hello to the Gorons, and spiral into sidequests.

Ah, lightning, my old nemesis. I got zapped twice before begrudgingly unequipping my metal shit.

Another wet memory! This one is Ganondorf and the Gerudos unleashing a swarm of monsters in the desert, yay! Zelda continues to participate in history, which surely won't have any consequences at all.

Rauru's got THREE eyes and he didn't give me even ONE. :( At this rate I'm never going to replace all my dumb human parts with cool goat parts.

Oh fuck oh no oh fuck:

I didn't even mean to open my camera--that was all panic, baybee--but at least now Link has material for a found-footage horror film.

A fun thing to do is to get real deep underground and burn through 50+ brightblossoms and end up having to fast travel to safety after stubbornly fumbling for way too long in the dark.

An actually fun thing to do is to make a skeletal horse friend. Our time together was brief but beautiful, befitting a love that must blaze out like a dying star rather than fade away in a stable. I'll never forget you, skeleton horse friend.

Damn I wish Blingee still worked

Wet memory time! Zelda is outing herself as a time traveler, because fuck them future kids I guess. She is also not immune to the charms of her goat GGGGGGILF, if that blush means anything.

My current wild theory of the Zelda sightings in the present is that she did a time-travel body swap. We see her in the flashbacks as she sees herself, like Scott Bakula in Quantum Leap, but she's actually inhabiting the body of whatever malicious little weirdo is trotting around in her body right now. I know this is not going to be correct but the heart wants what it wants

I could afford the fire-resistant shirt but that would mean putting my tiddies in fabric jail so I refuse. Time to gather elixir ingredients and/or save up for fire-resistant pants.

I'm so glad I have camera mode unlocked now:

I found some lizards and got distracted by minecart tracks in the sky that have led me to a sky shrine!

I am now distracted by exploring the vast underground world in an area that has nothing to do with any quests I'm on.

After a brush with almost continuing the main quest, I went around finding (and inevitably repairing) sky terminals before trekking to Hateno Village for FASHION.

The Palia Experience™ (so far)

Believe it or not, I'm trying it out because a friend of mine ended up despising this (beta) game so much they went and asked the game company to straight up delete their account for good.

Know that I won't dig into some controversial/sus stuff ongoing with some cosmetic bundles, because right now I am not even interested in purchasing a single thing in game.

All this is going to be purely from a(n oblivious) player's pov, who is also still a newb who's just "learned" how to plant & water crops.

For starter, I appreciated same ol' warnings for flashing lights & stuff. I'm not photo-sensitive myself, but I can see how this can be a nice thing for those who have this issue to varied degrees.

What I would also appreciate would be the possibility to have subtitles in the cutscenes (unless this option is already available but dumdum me couldn't spot it).

Customisation has lots of options to choose from right away, and I'm saying so as someone who comes from Warframe, where the only "Operator" free stuff is 4-5 hairstyles and a Zariman suit, with everything else locked behind either plats or a grindfest.

Besides, you can also have a small selection of colours to tweak. This is what I ended up mashing together.

The graphic looks cartoony/simplistic, and it kinda reminds me of another game: "Paladins" (another friend of mine described it as "generic unity style 'cutesy fantasy' aesthetics").

Makes me wonder if this has anything to do with both games running on "Unreal Engine". 🤔

Also, despite my PC would meet the requirements to run the game at "high" settings, I decided to keep them at the default ones the game itself chose: "medium". This resulted in my GPU (GTX 1650) not breaking a sweat, ever and unironically.

(Yes, this means that my screenshots are all taken with the graphics set on "medium".)

Even so, it hasn't been uncommon for me to see the game freeze and/or stutter. What left me puzzled this whole time is that the CPU (of the i7 kind) would at time show spikes of 60% usage. A sign that, maybe, the graphic isn't as "simplistic" as it looks.

Still, I have yet to experience any game implosion, so I guess I am still all good here.

And btw: yes, the game devs themselves know about the latter issues I mentioned. 👇

There is only one thing that keeps on leaving me quite fascinated.

Queue. Queue everywhere.

Apparently, the servers are still so damn tiny that, no matter where you're trying to load into, even though you are already logged in game, you will have a high chance of seeing a message like this in the corner of the loading screen. 👇

Logging into the game? "X Palians ahead of you."

Loading into a cutscene before/after a quest? "X Palians ahead of you."

Going to the village? "X Palians ahead of you."

Coming back to your tent/home? "X Palians ahead of you."

Imagine playing something like Warframe (the only other co-op game with quests I could think of). Imagine if you loaded in your own Orbiter and tried to start absolutely anything, even while in "solo" mode:

Loading a mission: "X Tenno ahead of you."

Starting/Progressing with a quest whatever: "X Tenno ahead of you."

Waiting for the cutscene(s) to said quest to load: "X Tenno ahead of you."

Going to a relay or a free roam (imagine instances didn't exist either): "X Tenno ahead of you."

Moving back to your Orbiter to call it a day: "X Tenno ahead of you."

You got the picture. Not really a fun and also sliiiightly irritating in the long run. 😅

But hey, it's a beta game that has just come out of "closed beta" only 1-2 days ago. So hopefully they will be able to expand their servers soon enough.

As for the gameplay itself, it's nothing really special to me, probably because I am already familiar with some of the mechanics. I've seen this being called "a mix between Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley", and so far I'm mildly getting the latter's vibes (never played any "Animal Crossing" game).

All in all, if I were to rate this game on a scale of 0 to 10, I would give it a generous 7. "Generous" because of the aforementioned controversy with the bundle discounts so-called "scam" (which is still unclear whether or not it's been accidental, haven't kept up with the news in this regards), plus the current, microscopic size of the servers.

Bravely Default fanart - Agnès Oblige

So, I got back into playing Bravely Default, and I decided to draw Agnés. I mainly decided to draw this because I love the lighting and scenery in the game. I could look at it all day. To get the charater right, I obviously referenced the game: box art, in game model, and that one cutscene that you see at the start of the game introducing all four charaters. As for the background, I, again, referenced the game. Specifically the wind temple, 2f, just after you walk up the stairs. It was a pain as it automatically zooms out if you stay still for more than five seconds, but I managed. For the colours in the scenery, I also took some photos (yes, photos of a DS screen taken on my phone) so I could reference the colours better. So I could colour pick properly, I used medibang paint. Put the image in, shrunk it, and merged it with an empty layer. That way, it actually had the colour as the actual colour instead of it being all weird (you know what happens when you photograph a screen). And then I tried to match the colours with whatever colours I could concoct by layering a few different colouring pencils. It worked. Hello! I recently found you because of pictures you took of BG3 Tavs and characters. Your photos are really beautiful and I hope you don't mind I use them as pfp :pray:

And may I also ask how did you took the latest Minthara photos? The ones in SCL that is. Because I have never seen that scene before and that position is *hot*

Hi anon, yes you can use my photos as pfp. If you can credit me for the pfp, I'd appreciate it! :D

For the latest Minthara photos, I use this mod (x) to switch Lae'zel with Minthara and then proceed with Lae'zel romance as I have that going already. The reason you haven't seen that scene before was that angle and pose weren't shown during cutscenes, or more like the cutscenes camera focuses entirely on the kiss and not the body. I use a freecam tool (x) to take the photos. I have a few photo variations of the same scene because ummm the pose is *fans self*. I didn't expect it to work so well with Minthara.

Be My Next Product

I felt like redrawing one of those older Molluck drawings I have done since I really like this one!

Even I know that it doesn't look so good as coloured, I still felt like doing it, making them look more similar. But yes, I also added the same filters there. You might have noticed how I like to add filters to my drawings... It's also the way how I can make those photos of my drawings this clean and good-looking. But frankly, the main reason I tend to put those filters is to kinda make the drawing more messy and hide my drawing... Yeah, it can sound odd but it's just me hiding my flaws... Though yes, I also like those filters in general. Dunno if it interests but I'm using over two decades old Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 to edit images. (Y) No need for any newer one.

But yes, the whole idea to this drawing came from this text you can find from Abe's Oddysee:

A readable slideshow I hope. (I have no idea how people actually make GIFs... I just take the pictures myself and use my Photoshop.)

But I really love that text, especially when Molluck (I assume) calls his own products as disgusting; yeah, he knows it! Oh, and well, now it comes to my mind that there was also a text 'you are what you eat' at RuptureFarms, so is Molluck saying that the ones who eat his products are disgusting... Probably something like that, considering the egoistic nature of the Gluks. I just like to play around with some thoughts, made they sense or not. Like, it made me laugh when I heard that one of those reasons why there was is no SligStorm game is that they thought that a Slig would be a too ugly protagonist... Like, the reason why Sligs have a mask is basically because Glukkons find them ugly... Seems that it's not only Gluks then who think so... I don't find Sligs ugly though, I really like their design! Oh, and if the protagonist being good-looking is important, Molluck should be one next!

Yeah, I did play Abe's Oddysee to that part for that GIF and I have been wondering if it's actually my favourite Oddworld game... But it might be just 'some tricks' my love for Molluck does... I just cannot help myself but I also love that AO Molluck! I love that murmur he does during the opening cutscene, when Abe introduces him 'the meanest boss in the world'... I bet that Abe must think that after seeing his plan but it was probably nothing personal, Abe! But yes, I see that it was better that Molluck failed, even I do not wish anything bad to him... I love to see Molluck being happy, no matter what was the reason for his smile. I also just love a certain 'crazy gaze', like this another older sketch pictures:

I just love that expression! Been thinking drawing more stuff like that... Oh, and I remember some people wondering why Gluks lick their teeth... Well, my answer is that I guess that it's just a part of their behaviour. Like, I also do that for no reason... It was before Molluck! So yeah, honestly, that's yet one more reason why I see myself in him, he does the same odd stuff as me...

I just gotta say that I love that certain 'nastiness' of Molluck. I have seen people calling him nasty but I cannot really find him nasty... Though yes, I see that certain 'nastiness' but I only love it... That's why I wanted to make that redrawing somewhat nastier too. Oh, and that '💛Molluck' is a part of that too since it means 'with love, Molluck'. Heck, I get yet more associations... Just seen some ads where companies say that they make food with love, so at RuptureFarms, you are butchered with love! Yeah, what a sweetheart, making the favourite meat treats with love. (I'm not saying everything seriously, you know.) I still cannot help myself with that I find him so adorable and just love him so much...

Oh, and while getting the stuff for the GIF, I also remembered these odd Gluk heads.

I suppose that they are cameras or something, making you feel like being watched.

Man, looking at those crate piles makes me wonder how Molluck's business was going down... I guess that it might have been about quality, not so much about that there was not enough meat... Yeah, this makes me remember that review from one customer you can see in New 'n' Tasty about Paramite Pies... Yeah, it makes sense now... Like, in Abe's Exoddus there are even more RuptureFarms products introduced, like 'Slurg Sundae with extra rot'... And I have also seen there being products that are just made from some random meat stuff that was found... It's sweet of him to use all the possible stuff and parts but the quality... This makes me wonder if his investors wanted him to make that rotten crap or was it just him being desperate... It just sounds like none of those products were actually good... Man, this just makes me have much questions and wish to have a talk with Molluck, like sit down with him and hold his hand...

I just cannot help myself with him... I wish him all the best. Like, I really wish that his injuries/scars from the hit don't cause him (too much) pain, making him more irritated too... Man, I'm just giving all my love to this Gluk...
