So, I got back into playing Bravely Default, and I decided to draw Agnés. I mainly decided to draw this because I love the lighting and scenery in the game. I could look at it all day.
To get the charater right, I obviously referenced the game: box art, in game model, and that one cutscene that you see at the start of the game introducing all four charaters. As for the background, I, again, referenced the game. Specifically the wind temple, 2f, just after you walk up the stairs. It was a pain as it automatically zooms out if you stay still for more than five seconds, but I managed.
For the colours in the scenery, I also took some photos (yes, photos of a DS screen taken on my phone) so I could reference the colours better. So I could colour pick properly, I used medibang paint. Put the image in, shrunk it, and merged it with an empty layer. That way, it actually had the colour as the actual colour instead of it being all weird (you know what happens when you photograph a screen). And then I tried to match the colours with whatever colours I could concoct by layering a few different colouring pencils. It worked.
This drawing took a while to finish, but I'm proud of the result.

i am all of 6 hours into bravely default and the vibes are immaculate. your adventuring party is:
a high priestess of one of four Giant Crystals whose Giant Crystal is Fucking Gone
an amnesiac ladies' man with a book detailing the current ongoing plot and main characters, and also the dumbest hair
a fiery swordswoman with too many morals whose father is the grand marshal of the empire's army. who she is now a deserter of.
and a simple farmboy who is the sole survivor and witness of his simple village being turned into a massive hole in the ground
like ALL of these characters are Main Characters in their own right, and now theyve stumbled into each other and are like 'well, 3 party members is better than 2, and 4 is better than 3, and they don't seem TOO crazy right now... alright we can party up'
