Another of my moots mentioned fans seeing a gender neutral mc as a girl, and now I'm thinking about it.

This sort of thing is especially common in twst, and while yes, you're free to interpret the mc however you want, it's really frustrating to see "aw look what they're saying to mc, they're obvious flirting with her!" and usually the entire reason people think certain lines as flirty or romantic at all is because they view mc as a girl.

And also, sometines mc is viewed as a girl bc "why else would the boys have all these flirty lines for her?" And then I die a little. But it's not just that, it's also that mc is viewed like a protagonist of those bad romance novels, so a thin, white, cishet girl.

Newer fans wouldn't really know, but a few years ago racism and other forms of bigotry was a huge problem in the fandom since people (mostly cishet girl twst fans) would attack other fans with black yuus or ocs, and harass male yuu blogs and call them "misogynistic" and "gross" and accuse them of "stealing" the boys from them.

Idk I just think it's not good to assume every mc of games like these is a girl.

some screenshots of a desert palace that @cookieg122 and I started some time ago! we've since moved this build elsewhere and are starting from scratch to make a Bigger and Better version for our giant desert town (that I might share in the future if we can get it finished!), but I'm still quite happy with how this smaller, cozier palace turned out! :'D

got a few pics of the bathhouse in the back as well - we'll be repurposing it somewhere in the new town, but for now it's still part of this older build. I thought it would be a nice addition to this post, though!

(ignore the mess on the right side of the palace tho, lol... we have plans to move all of that to a nearby jungle but we haven't gotten around to it yet haha)

Personally I find it really funny that based on what the twins said in the Book 2 finale re: having to tell their mom about what happened to Unalaq, it's literally canon that Unalaq's wife a) exists, b) is alive, and c) is just chilling in the Northern Water Tribe

SHOULD I. make video essays about fictional topics. (disclaimer there would 100% be very heavy warnings for unreality) but like i wrote that essay about "Guardian Angel" and the context surrounding it, a text and history that don't exist, and ive been thinking a lot about that world. it'd be harder to make a video essay because of the visuals and by virtue of how easy it is to find visuals for fictional topics i just made up (not at all). therefore all visuals would need to be crafted by myself (which i think i could do semi-well and it's good art style adaption practice anyway) or by someone i find to help me. regardless of all that in mind, the real question im asking is:

Both were leaders who nearly led their comrades to their goal — and then Sovereign Slayer appeared.

Both blamed themselves for that.

Both were the lowest a member of their species can be.

Both shouted at Egbert in all caps! And both ended up on good terms with Egbert!

And both spent three years on the meteor moving from the post-Scratch troll session to the post-Scratch kid session.

I also realized, though, Karkat could actually avoid WV, at least for some time, because *he created Sovereign Slayer*. The death of WV’s comrades and friends is just more for him to blame himself for.
