Edit since a lot of people seem confused - your "real" name is the name that you want to be referred to in real life. It doesn't have to be your legal name. So if you're trans and you have a different name to whats on your birth certificate, even if not many people call you by the name, it still counts as your real name.

at the end of the day, it doesn’t fucking matter who’s right and who’s wrong regarding these morals in real life because the dc universe is so fucking far from reality in the crime that the justice system has to deal with. there is no point in arguing a reality standpoint if its not going to be applied to vigilantism in the bat comics as a whole.

and on the topic of fiction, the willful ignorance as to how jason’s story also portrays a victims revenge/justice is just boring at this point. how are themes in a narrative not coming through to you. especially when doing literature analysis for any of these comics.

childhood books that are so fucked up on the reread part 1 of infinty: septimus heap. our guy was a child soldier from birth. the entire city-state dealt with an oppressive police state for a decade, waiting for the monarchy to resurface. this fucking necromancer will not ever go away. not after the first time he dies and certainly not after the fifth. you'd think he'd be bored by now. some old queen moved a tower to the other side of the palace for no reason. the main character got time-kidnapped for six months and had to live in the same place that all his loved ones had not been born in yet. his best friend was raised by wolverines. his other best friend is named Beetle. the castle is called The Castle. there's a defunct nuclear reactor underneath it. some of the rats can talk and have human levels of intelligence and people still put out rat traps and try to kill them. there's a fuckin time purgatory that some guy thought everyone would love even as an increasing number of random lost travelers got trapped there forever. if you think you know all the secret tunnels under this place no you don't. and you can rent pink paddleboats in the summer

Vincent and Isaac make quite the team! They work well together and win many cases in court. However, they don't know much about each other outside of work. On the way to meet their new client, Isaac questioned Vincent to try to get to know him better. He did not share much, only giving vague answers. Then they saw their client. "Isaac, meet Mr. Felix Reichmann!" Vincent exclaimed. "Reichmann." Isaac muttered under his breath, troubled by the surname.

I really hate pining with all my heart, so here’s an idea: CodyWan who fall in love within the first month of meeting each other and hold hands and give hugs and little nuzzles and everyone else is like ‘yeah. They sure are friendly…’ but no one says it to them till they overhear it one day and straight up go ‘we got married on month two of dating’ and everyone loses their minds they thought they were in a ‘everyone but them knows they’re married’ AU but they’re actually in a ‘speedrun strangers to old married couple’ AU and they’re so confused.

Actually, the 90z is a great idea! First you have the funky underground metal and dance clubs, weird comic book series such as Johnny the Homicidal Manic and Squee!, and experimental anime/cartoons. The setting would be awesome since you could go full on experimental with the characters.

Sure they don't have pierce the veil but they have The Cure, Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode. Ahhhh! It's such a good idea. (I'm thinking of setting mine in the 90s)

In terms of Wenclair nicknames, I believe in ‘Enid using Willa’ supremacy and φεγγάρι μου (‘my moon’ in Greek) is especially beloved to me, but I also love little shit Enid who calls Wednesday any day of the week EXCEPT Wednesday (“Hey, Monday!” “What do you think about this Sabbath?” “Oh thank god you’re here Friday”) and it annoys her favorite murder goth to NO END but slowly said murder goth becomes endeared by her roomate’s antics as feelings start to tumble and bloom away. Besides ‘my moon’, I can also see her calling Wednesday ‘silly raven’ in Greek.

Meanwhile, Wednesday has this wholeass evolution from shit like “mutt” to way softer nicknames because Gomezifcation™️ is a powerful thing. She starts to pine and internally call Enid her Alectrona (a greek goddness of the Sun, known for sunrise or ‘waking from slumber’, a perfect combo of how Enid brings light to Wednesday as well as her inner wolf finally waking up), but slowly she starts using it out loud along with “mi sol” (‘my sun’, Spanish), “mon petit chiot” (‘my little pup’, French), and “la mia vita” (‘my life’, Italian). Enid melts everytime without fail and stutters in Greek and honestly? Who could blame her when Wednesday has that passionately lovestruck shine in her eyes as adoration drips from devout lips.
