Encanto: a movie that tackles the nuances of generational trauma, shows how easy it is to be caught up in a toxic system (and how toxicity is not always obvious for what it is until it's too late), but also how people can be wrong, and still mean well and genuinely not realize what kind of pain they may or may not have inflicted, etc. A movie that translates the toxic family drama into a palpable, beautiful metaphor of taking accountability and atonement, beginning the healing process and moving forward. It is a film that is designed to spark conversations about the importance of boundaries, mental health, and toxic positivity---
People with zero critical thinking skills: "Abuela is OBVIOUSLY a villain!!!!"
Me: internally screaming 🙃🙃🙃

OK so I have an inkling of an idea for a trigun ficlet. A one-shot, really. Not really any plot, but I just have the urge to write my own interpretation of Weird Plant Shit. Like for how much ppl tag this stuff as xeno, most of it's honestly pretty tame. Which kinda makes sense, considering a lot of this is being based off of the plants in stampede, which While uncanny are not NEARLY the amount of inherent horror of the plants in the manga. There's some FREAKY shit going on there. So like. You know. What if I took more inspiration from That for Vash's freaky shit?

Is it ok if I reference your art? I want to make a reference sheet for my character and you're so good at drawing my body type. I would NOT directly trace yours, but it might come out as the same pose as whatever I end up referencing. If that's not okay, I understand and it's completely fine! If it makes you uncomfortable, I will not use your art as a reference. (Sorry I'm bad at wording things)
sure! referencing poses or w/e is super okay with me ^^
also tbh, i don't mind if people trace* my art,
****AS LONG AS*****
they're not posting it, and especially not posting it claiming it's their own.
anyone can *privately * use my work to learn shapes or lines or whatever else, tracing is a good tool to feel out the shapes in art.
👍
note: by tracing, i specifically mean breaking down the art to bare bones shapes. finding the circles and squares and bean shapes that compose the anatomy in a piece, NOT just tracing along the lines. direct tracing does not work as a tool, and is something i'm very not okay with happening to my work.
... annnd is something i very heavily encourage you to avoid for the sake of learning on your own.

Alright, little thoughts/headcanons/reminders that will be expanded upon in separate posts in the future, but:
— By all accounts, we know that Guizhong's actual name is Haagentus, this is likely the same to 'Morax' and 'Osial'. Guizhong, keeping in mind that this is what the adepti seem to refer to her as and they also refer to Morax as Rex Lapis (which is the title given to him by the mortals?); I'm tempted to believe that it was given to her by the mortals as well. Granted, this is heartbreaking to think about as Guizhong in Chinese is 归终, of which 归 translates to 'to return' and 终 'to end'. Yep, we all return to dust in the end— yeah, I hate HoYo too. 😭
— She's a bit of a pain in the neck. I say this affectionately, but you need two hands to deal with her. Based on Echoes of the Heart and the quest A Single Harmony for an Irreplaceable Soul, we learn that she's rather competitive, she has no qualms about standing her ground, she tends to push boundaries a little socially even if apparently endearingly enough so (CR: "(...) no matter what nonsense she said, one never felt bothered or offended."), she is very determined (her little tongue as she's working on the Cleansing Bell thrills me so very much) and opinionated/stubborn. Granted, all of this seems to come paired with a certain eloquence and kind air as she was referenced as having been well loved by mortals and adepti alike, as all still speak very sorrowfully even 3700(ish) years after her passing.
— She's very hands-on, she touches everything— she simply experiences life through touch, if you will. As an engineer, she touches to find out how things feel, how they operate. This is, in my opinion, further substantiated by her attire. She's the least clothed of all of the gods and adepti, she's also the only one who's actively shown to always be barefoot. So while I can see this as an entirely standalone aesthetic decision, HoYo is so thorough, so I think there's more to it. So along with being an engineer and what that can imply, I think that the intention of how exposed she is and the specific places where this is a fact (her back, her legs), plays into stimulants. The wind, water, the sun, warmth, the cold, everything is experienced through one's skin, the best way to experience 'mortal life', is to experience the little things that make life... life. This is something you'll see me play a lot into in threads.

So I have kept a journal more or less since 2009. There is an almost year gap in 2015 when I had my only manic episode but other than that, I wrote pretty much at least a few times a month since.
Lately, I’ve been trying to write everyday just as a self-challenge since my mental health was a bit shaky during the most recent season change. Since 2009, I’ve filled almost 9 full note books. I’ll likely make it to my 10th by this October.
These Journals are mostly personal, but I sometimes did poetry or fiction-related sprints and other activities in it. Having a journal as a writer is good for practice as well as self-reflection and mental health.

Captain!Mitsuru is like yes she's a girlboss from afar. Like whenever she appears on TV or at a public conference whatever, she is so confident and a true leader, and when the Phantom Thieves meet her for the first time, they're intimidated by her (in a scary hot woman way). She's def matured a lot from her high school days.
But don't get me wrong this woman is a girlfail. She is my wet pathetic milf. She's crying in her office when she thinks no ones looking. Yes she has a loving wife but she's dealing with the horrors (Kirijo Group sins still biting her in the ass)
