   Have you heard the word charot? It is a word used to express ones' emotions and feelings. Charot simply mean 'just kidding' or 'atik ra' in bisaya. An expression that usually used by teenagers this days specially by the bisayan people. The term 'charot' comes from the bisaya word "char lang" which means "binuang lang" that was later on become charot in a shorter version and new to be hear.

   Here in our country, humors are fast spreading in a particular community, how much more the trends in the society right? Generation nowadays have been always influenced by the social media sites knowing that they are overexposing themselves in it and through this happenings, these people are instantly adopting on what the social media been taught and showed to them. "Sanaol" , "Chinaoil" , "Sana lahat" is an examples of expressions used to convey whenever they saw a sweet couple together uploaded a photos in the facebook and so as the charot, that was became the most commonly word used in our society.

   Charot is another word used to make a joke line enable not to be so offensive to the person you are talking. "Pangit kaayo oy promise! Charooot lang oy!" It has been told after a joke line, making the topic less serious and also to avoid awkward moment to whom you are talking. "Dili lagi siya makagusto saimo kay bayot ka CHAROOOOOT!" , "Dili lagi siya gapatol sa bayot CHAROOOOT! and "Ayaw na lagig dahum, wala lagi mo'y pag-asa kay BAYOT ka CHAROOOOOT!" are the few lines that we usually heard from our very friend. An expression that means either a half meant or a real one but sometimes, charot are often half meant and serves a truth slap of reality. People had two meaning of charot, a compliment. This is often told upon giving a good vibes and positive feeling such as "Char chada kay bay" , "Char gwapa kaayo ka". But sometimes gives you a negative vibes as feedbacks like "Char hamis na siya", "Char giputi na bay" when you know you're not "hamis and puti". This might could leads to misunderstanding. On the other hand, charot are seldomly used as what we called "padungog-dungog" in bisaya. This may occur when a person can't tell the person the things she wanted to say in person so, you she gotta have to say it in the other way. "Lihok-lihok pud unta ta oy dili kay permi nalang ta magsalig CHAROOOOT!".

   In our daily lives, we, us, human tends to communicate with the people we love to talk to. We share informations, convey messages and socialize towards the person. We used to do social interaction because we need it. Humans are social being therefore, communication to one another is what really matter. One philosopher once said, "No on is an island". So, we have to keep a conversation every person we just have meet and the  relationships' connected. If you were to ask if I already heard this word? Yes! I already do. This could be the word I've encountered many times in my day-to-day living. The word charot is now already part of my vocabulary list and been used all throughout the day.

Our reactions were the same. 😆 Like nidako ang mga mata when seeing each other, naa pay pina “heeeeeey!!!!” Murag friends nga merong pinagsamahan nga dugay na kaayo wala nag kita. Ana dayon ko kay Lord, “Hala Lord, nakita napud nako si *tooot*.”

Mga after 30 mins, nag break ko, tapos na timing napud nga nag break pud siya with them managers. Ug sadihang gi tawag ko niya across the room @.@ pina ingon pag “Katrina, nice to see you again. How are you? Have you been working in the morning?,” unya across the room pa na siya mga guys. Murag dili maka kita ug dungog ang tanan tao nga naa sa lobby/break area noh? Amazing jud siya 😭🤯 Tapos, after niyag buy ug food, ni duol ra jud siya nako kung asa ko nag lingkod for my break, “you were saying something earlier, but, I couldn’t hear you” Girl! Concerned si kuyaaaa. Ug sadihang gi share nimo imong talambuhay intawon. Lols. Joke. Gi share ra nako nganong wala ko sa work for more than 3 weeks. Tapos pina ingon pa siyag, “that’s okay. Are you okay now? Sure? How’s your family? Safe?” 😭😳🥺 hala oi. Thank you sir. Ginalingan mo masyado ang pagka concern nako. 😭

Backstory:

He’s one of the site managers pero he’s new. I really don’t know how or why pirme nalang ko mabantayan ana niya @.@ katong new pa siya, kauban niya pirme akong favorite manager (FM), and kaning si FM kay sige ko niyag gatawgon ato nga time kay na assign ko niya sa packing unya akong station tapad ra sa managers area. Basig maoh nang reason nganong gakabantayan ko niya @.@, i dunno. Feeling nako. Feelingera baya ko. Unya mga 2 days lang man toh nga na assign kos packing. Unya after ato, back to my usual routine nako — picking groceries.

Ambot lang jud unsay gakahitabo, pirme naay issue akong route. So ang ending, mu adtog manager to fix my route of picking. Ma timingan pag mu adto ko sa managers area, si sir na ginalingan masyado ang naa didto. While helping me, mag small talk siya. 🥺 uwu. Mambinuang pud. Naa pa siyay mga tambags kung kapuyon nako. Char. And EVERYTIME mag tagbo mi mamansin jud siya with the name. Bisag ga talikod nalang ko unya balot na kaayo akong suot ug mata nalang ang makita sa ako, he’s able to recognize me. @.@ I guess, maoh jud nang mga dedicated, friendly, and concerned leaders sa work.
