1. U.M.G: Unidentified Mysterious Girlfriend

My Synopsis

Mew has carried the guilt of his childhood friend, and first love, Erng’s mysterious disappearance for ten years, but now that she has returned he can't help but be suspicious. How does a girl suddenly reappear after a decade of being missing, acting as if nothing had happened at all? And is the thing that wears her face really the person Mew lost, or something else altogether? Perhaps, an entity from another world?

My Thoughts

Has anyone here read the manga elDLIVE? Because I swear the trailer played and I was instantly transported back to when I was reading it in high school. I honestly love this one so much. I know sci fi mysteries likely aren’t most thai drama watchers’ cup of tea but they sure are mine. I’ve watched this trailer so many times already and I just know I’m gonna enjoy this one. The cast is amazing too, like NanonNamtarn? Incredible! Plus, Milk, Drake and Sing are here too! Absolutely cannot wait to see this one come to life.

2. Oops! Mr. Superstar Hit on Me

My Synopsis

All Cake wanted was to get her mother’s favourite actor’s autograph. So why is she waking up in bed with this man, who is twenty years her senior? When two people a generation apart fall in love, things are bound to get messy.

My Thoughts

Right off the bat, the whole trailer was one big red flag imo. Like, the guy is 40 and he not only knowingly pursues Jane’s 20 y/o character but also they clearly have sex when she’s intoxicated, going by her state the morning after. The whole thing gives me the creeps so, even though I adore Jane, I will be staying very far away from this one. If I had to give an unbiased review of the show ignoring the age-gap I would say it’s gonna be a pretty melodramatic romance and there’s likely going to be a pregnancy at some point. Do with that what you will.

3. My Dear Donovan

My Synopsis

A hot and in-demand supermodel. An awkward but fun-loving kindergarten teacher. Opposites attract in this spicy romantic comedy of errors… with a twist?

My Thoughts

I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t given this one a lot of thought. It seems like your average romcom with a dash of ~spice~ added in. The cast is good, Namtarn is looking absolutely adorable and her and Luke seem like they’ll have good chemistry. It seems like a pretty solid romance. There’s really nothing wrong with it, it’s just very forgettable. Like, by the end of the event I’d completely forgotten what this one was about. That being said, I’m hoping the official trailer will stand out more because this actually does seem to have the makings of a good romcom. Will I watch it, though, depends entirely on what the final trailer is like.

4. The Warp Effect

My Synopsis

When 17 year old Alex suddenly wakes up as his future self, the life he finds himself living is nothing like he’d expected. How exactly does a shy, awkward virgin turn into a hot and sought-after expert in female anatomy? What choices did his past and future selves make to land him where he is? And what wrongs must he right to be able to fix the mess that is now his existence?

My Thoughts

Literally 13 Going 30 meets Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, right? The first time I watched the trailer I honestly wasn’t sure if I liked it, but now that I’ve rewatched it multiple times and figured out who is doing what, I'm genuinely intrigued. The plot is interesting, the cast is great and there’s even multiple queer character and a whole wlw ship, so I’m definitely into it now lol. Jan as a lesbian! Fucking finally!!!! Also, I’ve never been a fan of New, I always felt his acting was underwhelming and the only show I liked him in was DBK (this does not include the other Kiss shows), but I think this one has a lot of potential. So yeah, will watch and probably will like.

5. Good Old Days

My Synopsis

Six stories about six people, all loosely connected through six items found at an antique store.

My Thoughts

Bored. The trailer started and I instantly lost interest. First of all, why does Krist keep popping up and narrating shit trying to sound all philosophical it doesn't fucking suit him. GMM stop casting him in every role ever challenge. Also, his character is a grown man trying to coerce a high schooler into dating him. Big yikes. The only stories out of the six that seemed interesting to me were Aye’s and Namtarn’s, so I’ll probably watch those. Otherwise I’m entirely indifferent.

7. You Fight, And I Love

My Synopsis

In the midst of preparing for the match of a lifetime, Chang finds himself falling for- and eventually pursuing -his friend’s little sister whom he swore to look after. Noo just wants her makeshift guardian to see her as someone he can love, but when she finally gets her wish things start to get complicated.

My Thoughts

So. Here’s my issue with this show. Love is an adult woman. Her and Joss are only around four years apart in age. So why tf does she look fucking twelve in the very first shot? There’s absolutely no reason for her character to be in high school, they could have made her a college student and the plot would not change at all. They’ve made deliberate efforts to make her look like a child while dating Joss who’s made to look like a grown-up and it creeps me out. Getting major pedo vibes from the execution of the mock trailer so I’m going to stay far away from this one.

7. Midnight Series: Dirty Laundry

My Synopsis

____ (Film) runs an all-night laundromat and dreams of falling in love with one of her handsome regulars. But when chasing these dreams of romance leads her to a suitcase full of cash, she is faced with a big question. What’s more important, getting the guy or getting rich? Though, it seems, neither may be all that worth the ensuing chaos.

My Thoughts

Third and final part of the Midnight anthology. This is like if someone took the 3wbf concept and made a comedy out of it and I for one love it! The plot is so chaotic and funny and the cast is absolutely brilliant. Film and Nanon make a surprisingly good pair and seeing Jenny and Foei literally had me vibrating with excitement. Also, Jennie and Godji in the same show? Did someone read my mind???? And Nanon in drag? Absolutely glorious. This occupies the top spot with Midnight Motel and Home School in my most anticipated shows list. Holy hell this whole anthology is amazing, even though the cheating in the EM one will ruin me xD

8. P.S. I Hate You

My Synopsis

A murder, an affair, a wedding, a scandal and a bride’s violent fate. The story of six friends bonded together with love and secrets, as they struggle to keep their various transgressions hidden from the world. But now that there is a traitor amongst them, they will finally be forced to face the consequences of their actions.

My Thoughts

Hot women being messy and committing murder? Um count me tf in. This story gives me The Player vibes, which I wasn’t initially taken with but now can’t wait to watch, so I’m definitely into this. This is also the only female-led show in the whole line-up (which, wtf gmm?) so that’s another reason I’m excited for it. Bc in the past their female led shows have been the kind of lakorns I’m not into. Anyway, I loved this trailer, it left me with a lot of questions and I just know that when the show airs I’m gonna be spending a lot of time trying to crack this case lol. That makes four out of four shows I’m most looking forward to out of this line-up.

9. Devil Sister

My Synopsis

Namcha has had a crush on his older neighbour Irin for a long time, despite her devilish reputation. My Thoughts

Okay. Listen. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the trailer and concept. It’s a pretty classic romance plot. But that monologue Win's character has at the start calling women “nasty,” “moody” and “overbearing” instantly put me off and now I can’t shake the thought that the MC is gonna be a “nice guy” type. So it’s unlikely I’ll ever watch this. But aside from that it feels like a solid romance drama so if that’s what you’re into definitely give it a shot.

Why these Lookism Bad Guys are liked, a rant by me

Alright, so I have came across a post talking about how Johan is hated on despite being a "bad person", and trashing other characters for absolutely no reason other than guilt tripping people. I personally think the post is immature, but due to my own personality and mental state, it has still got me kind of pressed, because it all sounds ridiculous. This post will be about some people in Lookism that are viewed as a bad people and or are hated on, and why I think they are liked. I won't speak for everybody liking these characters, and it will include some characters that I hate. This post is just to give a general idea for people who are really ignorant about why some characters might receive love. You might have come across that post, and if not, I am talking about this one below. - Well, only a small part of it, that threw me off. -

I didn't include the person's username out of respect and also so they don't feel attacked or anything of the sort.

Before starting this off, there are a few things I would like to say. If I sound petty, I truly don't care. I never saw anybody hating on Johan, at max maybe give criticism, I also don't hate Johan or try to disvalidate anyone's feelings, just get some things straight. Liking someone's looks does not immediately mean you are attracted to them, neither does liking the person's look you are attracted to mean you are toxic. It means you are loving. If you like someone's personality, you will find them beautiful consciously or subconsciously. If someone finds a character handsome, it is not a crime, people have types and preferences, and if they do it's none of your business. Hating good looking people doesn't make you woke, neither hating on people who are attracted to good looking people. What are you, Crystal Choi? And yes, people will be attracted to looks, it's a normal human act. People will notice if they find someone more attractive or unattractive which is not a bad thing. What is a bad thing when they start treating people different because of it. I assure you, most of the lookism fandom that I have came across doesn't do that.

This post will not include Seong Yohan because I never saw him get hated and I don't think nobody knows where he is coming from.

Samuel Seo

Yeah, so what seemed to be a surprise for me is that not a lot of people like Samuel, or at least understand why the people liking him would. Now, I personally feel no romantic attachment towards him. - Which is yes, normal, even if he is fictional. It's called fictophilia and I better see no judgement about it. - However, I do love Samuel a lot, and would love to care for him and grow a strong bond. To me, Samuel is not a monster. At all, believe me, Samuel isn't liked only for his looks. For me, personally, I love him so much because I can relate to him. I absolutely hated him at first, but grew to love him because he is human. He is complex, has a hard life and isn't perfect. That's exactly why I love him, and someone else I really adore does too. Yes sure, as you grow to like someone's personality, you find them handsome and or pretty. It's so much easier to say someone is pretty than to say, 'Hey, I love this person because they helped me go through so much.' Not everyone has the same love language, not everyone is comfortable with blunt affection. Besides, Samuel can and will achieve anything he wants. He has SO much sides to himself, not just 'good looking violent guy with big tits'. That's not Samuel at all. Besides, if PTJ oversexualises him, it's hard to not notice his body.

Yes sure, Samuel hits women, but I personally, don't f%cking care. Your vagina doesn't define if you deserve violence or not, your behaviour and the person's you face personality does. I am personally someone that doesn't mind violence as long as the person deserved it, because some scumbags in this world do. If they happen to be a woman, that's not on me, they shouldn't have done whatever they did. If you are not a violent person, I am not even sorry to tell you this, but you are probably sexist. It's not like all women are fragile and unable to get hit. Besides, if his violence is the problem, why is it fine that he hits men? Because men can handle it? According to statistics women have a higher pain tolerance. By your logic, you should call him out for hitting anyone in his way. Stop acting like hitting women is a necessarily bad thing, start saying that hitting innocent people is a bad thing.

If you must hate on him, maybe use the fact that he killed his abusive and neglective parents. Don't give a hard time to others for liking him though.

Ahn JongGun

Does Gun seem like a bad guy? Absolutely, he has done some horrible things. Then why do we like him? Because he seems to have a smaller character development coming, he has so many things to him and he is an absolutely incredible and complex character. I am very curious of his background and what caused him to be so violent and yet so calm. I like him because he allows himself to be human. From his religion, to his knowledge of material arts, to his adoration towards Vasco's material arts teacher - I forgot his name, so excuse me for that -, to his attention to details, to his fashion sense, it all makes him human. It's nice to see someone be a human, instead of just 'hot guy' or 'villain'. He is a nice character that brings many depth to the story. I could list a hundred of reasons why I love him, and no, none of it is his "weird" fashion sense. I do find him incredibly stylish, I just think some people in this fandom don't understand fashion. - Oops, I guess. - My main reason to liking him is that he is most likely either bisexual or pansexual. That he has a crush on Daniel. I might seem like I have a weird fetish or something, or that I am a crazy "fangirl". That's not the case though. I am a part of the LGBTQ+ community, and while not huge, I adore the hell out of the representation. It's nice to see such a smart, elegant and powerful guy be the representation. Because he is a character that's not there simply to be gay and full of stereotypes. Like, no hard feelings if you fit into stereotypes, but as a person who doesn't fit into them, it's a refreshing thing to see someone that's allowed to have many sides to himself other than just 'the gay friend'. Of course I am sure there are a lot of people who have many other reasons to love him, like his endless knowledge of material arts. There is so many reasons to be interested in his character, and just because you can't see it that doesn't mean others are blind to it too.

Yeah, he might have slept with countless women, but the main reason you can't count it is because he never stated the amount of women he slept with, neither did anyone else. Sure, he did say that Daniel is better than any women he ever slept with, but for all you know that could have been 3. Even if, it doesn't matter. He could have slept with 3, or 70 women. It doesn't matter, because not everyone's sexual life will reflect your own. And other people's sexual life is none of your business. Sure, you can say it's only fiction, and that I am overreacting, but when it comes to such small or personal details, people tend to put their own personal view into it. It's really not fine to shame others for their sexual life. As long as he uses protection, and didn't make anyone pregnant and doesn't play with the feelings of anyone, who gives a f%ck.

Some people tend to lash out sexually if they experience trauma or stress, and no, I don't mean they go and r%pe people, I mean that they go and have sex with different people who give consent. Even if he doesn't do it because of that, why does it bother you so much? Sex isn't a disgusting act. Some people like it, some people don't. Whatever their decision is, as long as no one is hurt, you should respect their decision.

Kim JoonGoo

Alright, this got me f%cked up. Goo is such a good character, and no way he would ever cheat on his S/O. He has morals and a lot of good sense in himself. Sure, he might have said that Samuel will be his secret friend, which led OP to believing Goo would cheat, but that's... a terrible reason, in my opinion. Gun knows that Samuel works for Goo, and Goo owns up it too. Besides that, nothing, absolutely nothing would lead to the fact that Goo would cheat. Because he wouldn't.

Now, why do I like Goo, and why some other's might like him too. He is such a well put together character, unpredictable yet so simple. He damages people to a point they have to retire, doesn't get scared of murderer, is a money maniac and hates his boss. You would think, he is dirty and fits the "gangster" stereotypes. That's not the case at all. He is more hygienic than most of the characters of lookism, if not the most hygienic one. He hates drinking and smoking, doesn't have tattoos - not that there is anything wrong with that - and is incredibly patient.

He might be a money maniac sure, but his ability to control money so well the way he does just shows how high his IQ is. I find that amusing, since it's something hard to do. What I completely love to the moon and back about Goo is his creativity.

When he gets into fights, he is patient and maybe let's himself get hit a few times. That's a good thing because he has time to learn about what he is facing. I think that's neat, because not a lot of people think about that during fights, and he taught me to do that. Also, the way he harms people is very creative too, no matter how harsh that sounds. He stabs people with chopsticks, kicks people with a glass piece stuck in his shoe and harms people with a katana. It's all so unpredictable yet fits him so well. I really love the way he fights and handles situations because it tells so much about him. Also, he is so fun, who would do karaoke after beating a bunch of guys unconscious? Only your one and only Kim JoonGoo. He is such a fun person to study and to read about.

So, no, I will not put up with the bullsh%t that he would cheat on his s/o, because he is a very respectful and none judgemental person. Just because his fights look violent to you, and his friendship with Gun unstable, that doesn't mean he is a bad person. It just means he is different from you, and yeah, he does f%cked up things, I won't deny that. That's exactly what makes him an interesting character.

Xiaolong

Now, I personally don't like Xiaolong that much, so this will not come from heart, but a place of logic. For a disclaimer, I am not caught up on the latest chapters, because I want to binge read it.

Now, even though I do not like Xiaolung, I can see why other people would.

He is a responsible person, who takes good care of himself even though he has to look after Vivi 24/7. He is not only good in his job, but takes it very seriously too. He isn't afraid to take action to make sure his job is going smoothly, and that everything is on it's place. He would do anything to protect Vivi, which can be appealing to some.

And from what I saw from spoilers, he is very strong. No, admiring his strength does not make the person toxic or fragile. It means they find the place in their heart to appreciate the type of struggle and hard work he puts into it. He has an unique way of fighting, which I could only see a small portion of. However it's clear that he must be impressive. I completely understand if people find that neat.

Also, Xiaolong seems like such a f%cking loyal person. That's so incredibly important. A lot of people can find that appealing, for various reasons. I am aware there are poly people, or anything similar to that, but loyalty is so important for some people and can form a very deep sense of love.

Yeah, he might take care of Vivi when she is drugged and let her get away with drugs but consider this that's his job. He is payed to do that and swore to do his best in it, as it's very important to him.

Outro;

Yeah, I don't care, like who ever you want to and defend them, but if you drag down other characters and guilt trip people because of liking specific characters, you are not going to be "woke" or special. And I will find you, and e a t you. - For legal reasons, that's a joke. -

That is not the only post that I saw shame those characters and people who like them, but is the one that made me messed up.

This fandom absolutely loves shaming people if they love the character design and looks of their favourite character. Let me tell you something though; You are missing the point of the whole manhwa you are reading.

Finding people attractive and beautiful is completely normal. Treating them differently because of that is not. As far as I am concerned, I never saw any lookism fans hate on characters they find less attractive. - Rather on the attractive ones. -

People have a type and that applies to looks and personality. Literally everyone does, even if it's unconsciously.

If you want your favorite character to get more love, don't make other people's comfort characters look bad on purpose, because in their eyes they aren't simply the bad qualities you see in them. And if you highlight them at least make sure they are true or at least reasonable bad qualities.

Well yeah, that was my little rant. And I didn't even mention the psychological aspects of why each character is like, or in other words what people they might attract. Or, the difference kind of personal life experiences people had to go through to appreciate each kind of little detail about the characters.

Yeah, this is the end of my little rant. If this post will get actual mature answers and discussions, I will make a similar one for Vinjin, Logan, Olly and Jiho. Yeah, I hate all of them, but other people might not.

You know the rules; No deleting anything? (See I just made two spelling errors but they’re LOCKED IT IN NOW SO I HAGE TO MAKE IT WORK.) also I am high every time I write these LMAOOOOO

If all the things to forget, it had to be the anniversary present

Norman was going to absolutely go feral when he found out that Pfto had forgotten that it was their two year anniversary, which Norman kept calling their golden anniversary even though it was only 2 years.

It was one thing to forget o buy milk. It was a totally different one to forget to buy your husband a present. “F god damn,” Otto thought. The only thing on the way home was a grocery store. They did NOT have diamonds. Well there probably were some ladies with diamond rinfs on but Otto couldn’t risk it after the incident at the farmers market.

But it was his only option, so he swung down from the building he’d been crawling on to go into the store. A lady held the door for him and he smiled at her.

“Thank you man,” Otto said. “I have to buy a present for my husband now.”

“Understandable,@ she said back to him and grumbled. “I forgot my husband s present too.”

“Wow,@ Otto said. “Classic. “

“Wait a minute,” said Otto. He pulled his glasses down to get a better look. “Are you Mary Jane ?”

The rehear redhead smiled. “Yes. And aren’t you doctor octopus?”

“I’m actually going. T ong by otto now,” Otto said. “It of course is my name.”

“Oh! “ Mary Jane said. “We’ll then pleased to meet you Otto.”

“Si you must be Mary Jane Parker now, hug?”

“No, Otto. That was a pretty male opinion just had. I kept my last name. “

“Oops,” otto said. “Fuck,” otto thought to himself.

“Did you just say fuck?” Mary Jane said.

“Fuck,” otto said. “I thought I thought that one.”

Mage rolled her eyes. “We’ll good luck finding something that the green goblin will like. Fucker. “

“Woah Woah Woah Woah lady that’s my husband you’re talking about here.”

“Sorry,” she said. “I like Norman though.”

“Yeah we’ll,” Otto said. “He’s just Norman now.”

“Nuce,” she said, making finger fun’s guns at him. “I’m headed straight to the scented candles.”

“Yeah nice,” Otto said back, and watch ed math Jane to be walked away.

What he didn’t tell her was that, even though the green goblin was mostly gone now, Norman was still the biggest complainer on the planet. Don’t get him wrong Otto loved him more than anything else but gof damn could that man complain. And nothing at this Giant Eagle would satisfy him.

“Okay,” Otto said. “Think Otto. Make a plan man. Think of something think of something think of something think of something. Think of something think of something think of something.”

Just then a bright light speared to him. He had an idea. He could just buy Norman some small things to hold him off and then go buy something really nice the next day.

“I know,” Otto said. “I can just buy Norman something to hold him off until tomorrow.”

He smiled to himself and walked to the gift aisle. One of the tentacles picked up a card under the “for him” section.

“That’s a very male thought you just had,” said a voice to his left.

It was MJ! Otto sighed in relief.

“Hey my. Can you help me pick out a decent card?”

“Dammi and here I was thinking you were a romantic,” MJ said. “Peter told me after he visited you that one time that you were super smooth in a nerd way. “

“He said that?” Otto said.

“Oh yeah,” Mary Jane said. “Big time.”

“We’ll usually I’m better than this,” Otto said. “It’s just that Norman is a he’d hard man to please.”

“I bet,” she said. “Look at that outfit over hthere.” She pointed at a random woman. “Nice dress.”

“Focus MJ,” Otto said. “Look at this card.”

He showed her a card with a dog on the front. In this inside it was a phrase that said:

NICE CARD CHOICE, FUCKERN! HAPPY GODDAMN BIRTHDAY! 22b 22! 22! 22! 22! 22!

“I think that card is for college boys,” MH said. “Maybe look in the senior love category.”

Motto eyes her. “Fine, you win this round Mary Jane. “

He walked over there to the card section and browsed the selections carefully. He opened one up.

I love you forever my husband, the card said on the inside. Otto grinned. Oh yeah. Classic.

Then he went to the cut flowed flowers area. The woman behind the counter looked up and then held up one finger to show him it would be a minute. Otto frowned. She wasn’t even doing anything. She wasn’t like on the phone or nothing. She just was taking her sweet sweet time.

“Gotta respect that,” Otto said. “That’s pretty cool.”

“Did you say you have to respect me?” The woman said.

“Fuck, I thought I thought that,” Otto thought.

“Did you just say fuck to me?” The woman said.

“Fuck, I thought I thought that one too,” Otto thought that he thought.

“Whatever. Just give me the money and I’ll get you the flowers.”

With a bunch of roses and a card in the car, Otto drive back to the apartment that they shared. They were still getting back on their feet after the time switch and the modest living arrangements weren’t exactly ticking Norman’s fancy. Maybe these would cheer him up.

When Otto knocked on the door, Norman said “what’s the password?”

“Norman loves donuts,” Otto said.

He heard the bank sound of the lock opening. Norman looked at the flowers.

“Giù you forgot about our golden anniversary didn’t you?”

“No” Otto said. He looked back and forth quickly.

“Really? Because I just got off the phone with Spider-Man and he was telling me that MJ also forgot THEIR anniversary. Kind of a lucky coincidence, huh?”

Motto sweated h see under his sweater. “Fine, he admitted to his husband that he had forgotten. “I forgot. But I still love you. And I’m gonna go find a jewel for you tomorrow. For now,” he dug out of his pocket the card. “I love you.”

Norman smiled. Maybe all this change had softens his heard. Heart. Yeah probably that was it.

“Oh,” Norman said. That’s very thoughtful. “ he opened the card. On the inside it read

NICE CARD CHOICE LOSER AND HAPPY OLD PERSON ANNIVERSARY, MUST VE CAUSE THIS CARD SAYS 65 ON THE FRONT. 65 YEARS? HAHA WHATS THE CONCERSION CONVERSION RATE ON THAT? BACK THEN I BET IT WAS LIKE 200 YEARS WITH INFLATION BRO! HAPPY DAY.

Norman looked up at him. Oh my god. It was the wrong card. But then Norman broke into a smile.

“I loved you,” he said. “I still do love you, obviously. “ he kissed Otto on the lips.

“Nice,” otto said.

“Love you,” Norman said. “Now I can’t wait for another date with this guy,” he said.

“What, we’re already married Norman.”

“I thought that was a thought,” Norman said. “Damn.”

Motto wrapped Norman up in his arms. He real arms not the tentacles that is.

“I love you,” Jorman ,”. .

“Wait that was let me try that again,” he said. “I love you Norman. Happy golden anniversary.”

Norman eyed him. “It’s only been two years Otto,” he said.

“Oh my gof,” Otto said. “You are so lucky that we’re in love.”

6 ~ i s there a song or piece of music that reminds you of your f/o?

i could answer this in like fifty different ways; I associate Marik with obscure indie songs from early 2010s, i associate him with angsty as all heck punk songs, i associate him with preppy pop songs. I think he’s been through so much already that I want to associate him with upbeat songs because I think he deserves it, but it’s because of how much he’s been through that I’ll always draw back to slow tempo tunes. I think Marik would enjoy a lot of different genres once he gets the chance to focus on something that isn’t killing the Pharaoh; he’s spent more than half his life below ground, away from society and pop culture and media altogether. I genuinely believe he might even listen to static for fun just because he’s able to. I have a few different songs that actually remind me of him (and a whole playlist) but I swear they change on a day to day basis. I think the one I associate Marik the most (as of right now) would be Muddy Knees by Days N Daze (partially because i’m projecting). But along with that, Abbey by Mitski reminds me of him, Welcome Home by Radical Face, 12 Feet Deep by The Front Bottoms- I could go on. if anyone is curious, I have a public playlist for him on spotify!! it’s under his full name, posted by the account destinyboard!! (yes i name most of my accounts after bakura’s cards. i have no explanation)

5 ~ what’s your ideal date with your f/o?

(this could admittedly apply to any of my f/os!!)

While going to a sit down restaurant or a concert or something does sound nice, I… don’t do too well in public spaces ^^; my ideal of a relationship is literally just being able to sit in silence and still feel comfortable, like I’m not letting things simmer in awkwardness. Therefore, I think my ideal date would just be us staying at home and finding things to do. Put something into the oven for dinner, play chess while we wait. Later on try to see who can get the farthest in a game of Minesweeper, bake cookies, maybe even do each other’s nails because of course Marik would learn how to do them, somewhere down the line. I’m a sucker for doing mundane things because I’d be doing mundane things with him, and being able to do anything with him makes me more of a hopeless romantic. Just being able to sit down and watch a movie with any of them makes me hopeless at the thought. I’ve recently been watching old Disney movies with Marik specifically, because I think it processed somewhere in my mind that he never got to watch them when he was younger. And he never got a chance to do a lot of things that I did in my childhood. There’s so many experiences and core memories that he didn’t really get to have since his role as a tomb keeper was more pressing. I want to find a way to make up for this (if there even is a way), so movies and these ordinary activities can try and fill the gap for now!! I think Marik’s favorite Disney movie we’ve watched so far has been Lady and the Tramp; usually him and yb will make snarky comments over how cheesy the story lines are, but he seemed more or less engaged in the story this time around. He kept making comments about the art and songs, smiled like a doof at the spaghetti scene, etc etc. Maybe it’s partially because it was late at night this time around, but it was really nice to see him so enamored in the story. I think he deserves it.

10 ~ would you and your f/o ever dress up in a couples costume for Halloween or other events? what would you dress up as?

I used to look at questions like this and shrug. I’m not big on costumes, and I haven’t consumed too much media where characters are in iconic duos or pairs. Most of them are really obscure, and “dressing” up as them doesn’t exactly work, since they usually have every day clothing as their main or well known outfits. I did do some thinking on it a while back, and I think I came up with something after a bit. I think a big thing me and Ryou share in common is a love for the occult or traditionally “spooky” things, and although it isn’t as obvious on this blog that I have a love for horror movies (*glances at the stack of dvds in the corner of my room*), I believe that’s another thing we have in common! So if we were to do a “couples costume” for Halloween, I’m pretty sure we’d go in matching Ghostface costumes!!! It's as close to a duo as I could think of, since in all of the Scream movies (minus Scream 3) there were two killers. I could also, technically, try and convince him to let us go as Tommy Ross and Carrie White (ryou in a tux...... *falls over*).

14 ~ what’s one of the sweetest things your f/o has ever done for you?

It's not really one thing he's done, it's a thing he keeps doing and has made into a habit. Sometimes I get really carried away with things like writing debate cases and speeches, since they're responsibilities I feel like I need to constantly be working on or practicing. It's led to me staying up at somewhat unhealthy times and getting stressed over things that really don't need to be stressed over. I think I broke out in hives for three days straight because of it (apparently stress hives are a thing??? odd). Whenever it's late and I'm still working on these things, Ryou simply just walks over to wherever I'm sitting, watches, and eventually recommends that I should get to bed, because he knows how much harder everything seems to me when I'm tired. I guess the others do this too, but there's just a certain way to how he does it, always in a gentle matter. The way he phrases it, and how he waits until I'm at an okay place to stop working, makes me feel better in some weird way. He knows that I care a lot about these things, and even though he sees that it can get me really worked up, he still waits until an appropriate time to recommend I stop and work on it later. I just think it's really nice how he knows me and my habits, and how he tries his best to work around them with me. While it might be only a few words that he says to try and persuade me to get some rest, he almost always gets me to put down everything on the first try. (plus, he knows that I know the sooner he gets me to bed the sooner I can snuggle him into oblivion. his way of convincing is very effective. how dare he.)

18 ~ is there a height difference between you and your f/o?

!!! yes!! it’s not a very big one though, only about five inches. I’m 5’4 and he’s 5’9 (and if we’re dragging tkb into this, he’s only 5’6). I don’t really think that height means all that much to me though. I don’t really expect him to be able to pick me up (I don’t think Ryou’s body has that ability-), and I could still glomp him even if he was shorter!! Though I suppose a plus of it is that whenever we’re just sitting on the couch or whatever, just sitting next to each other or holding each other or whatever other insanely out of character thing he does when we just hang out in silence, I get reminded that I’m really not as (metaphorically) big as I think I am. While I do have a decent amount of responsibilities and things I need to uphold (school…. bleh), I think I need to remember sometimes that I can’t always be on top of things 24/7, and that I can take a break sometimes. It’s nice to feel that there’s someone else who can take care of you, or hold you when you feel tired enough. It’s definitely something that comforts me at random times when I think about it enough <3

also i could totally topple him over if i tried hard enough AND getting to be held by him is really nice so yeah the (small) height difference is pretty cool in my opinion

Bakura only has like… four different outfits throughout all of the series, two of which aren’t even that different from each other. While Battle City will always have my heart over everything in the series, my favorite (canonical) outfit yb has ever worn has got to be his outfit in Millennium World!! Like?? It’s the only outfit he has that actually attempts to bring across his edginess. How could I not love it??? Also some of the panels he has while wearing it make me skfjfkfnfkfn *falls over*

it’s also really fun to steal it occasionally, but don’t tell him I said that.

2 ~ do you remember the first time you met your f/o? what was it like?

I’ve apparently been watching ygo since I was like. six. But I obviously did not remember too much of it!! So I might’ve already watched some of the episodes including Melv and they’ve been just completely buried in my brain, ORRR this summer was the first time I’ve ever “met” him!! Even then, I don’t really remember all that much, since I watched everything up to season four within like. A week. That’s me blowing things out of proportion but I still kinda just rushed through episodes!! I do remember not caring much for Marik in general when he was introduced to the show; I pretty much believed he’d just be another run of the mill villain that didn’t have a too intriguing reason for being one. It wasn’t until the Rishid and Jounouchi duel that I actually started caring at all for the character as a whole (still haven’t recovered from any of the flashback sequences). I think when the whole reveal scene happened, I don’t think I really reacted at all?? I mean I was obviously intrigued, but at the same time I’d downed all of season two within a few days of finishing season one, so I hadn’t even processed whether or not ym was a spirit like the other two or just some guy. I do, however, remember being low key annoyed with his character. like sir… please…. Take a chill pill. Does not help that I was watching the 4kids dub, so most of his “serious” lines were instantly thrown off by the voice effects.

However, I did eventually give him another chance while reading the manga. I think that gave me a chance to look at him with a different perspective; I could take my time and easily call back to certain parts of the story to see how he acts, the way he phrases things, how he interacts with specific characters, etc., and I did some thinking (as I always do). I sat down for a bit, and reread some scenes, and ranted to my friend about certain points that caught my eye, just to try and fix the kinks and knots in my thinking. I started seeing ym as more than some cheesy and over the top antagonist, and more for what he really was. And I guess that counts as some sort of first encounter. While I’m still kinda shaky on my feelings with him, and trying to find my footing with how exactly I see him, we’re taking it one step at a time and it’s been really nice so far. I hope that, eventually, I’ll be more confident in that :)!!!

15 ~ what’s your favourite memory you’ve made with your f/o so far?

so many of these just blur into the rest of my day; I day dream enough that I don’t remember too many specific ones. But I do remember one, back when I first started trying to connect with him. He was much more closed off than he is as of now; he kinda got thrown back into existence after being ultimately destroyed for a considerable amount of time, I don’t think I blame him for not wanting to talk too often. Usually, whenever I did try to spend time with him, it was a lot of just him observing things I was doing, or me trying to fill the silence by talking about random things. One day he eventually responded, but seemed more confused than anything. He asked me why I was even trying to get to know him, why I was even trying to be near him in the first place. I’ve seen the things he’s done, the way he’s acted and how he’s treated people. Why do I want to get near that? I still don’t have a hold on exactly why, but I took a moment to answer him. I told him it’s because I know he’s more than what he’s made up of, that he’s been through the same things as Marik had, that I wanted to understand him better because some of his actions never clicked for me. They didn’t line up in certain places, or he seemed so peculiar in how he handled things. While he was the manifestation of the frustration and upset and hate Marik had, stuck underground and tied to some destiny he didn’t even want, Melvin himself came into existence as a safety net for him, in some way. I told him it’s because I think he’s capable of exuding and expressing things that aren’t just what he was made from, that I know he’s completely different from Marik in many ways and maybe that’s why I want to know him, he’s someone completely different and so confusing and I want to get to know every part of that confusion. That I want to help him experience things he might never have gotten to experience and make him see that he is his own person, separate of Marik. He just scoffed at me, and told me in this tone that I still swear was affectionate that I must’ve really been hopeless.

That was the same day we decided to start referring to him as Melvin, I think. We had already been switching between Malik, Mariku, etc., and even though it’s a ygotas reference, Melvin was different enough from Marik that we settled on it for his name. Even though it’s origins are, admittedly, cheesy, I think it works pretty well for him :)

Inspiration (Nathan Young x Reader)

A/N: I’ve been thinking more about my headcanon that Nathan has some sort of secret artistic talent. And then I had a flash of inspiration. Word Count: 1902 Content Warnings: drinking/alcohol, criminal activity, mention of animal abuse Cross-posted to AO3: here

“Hey,” Nathan said, waving his hand in front of your face, making you jump. “Earth to Y/N!”

“Sorry, what?” you said, slightly embarrassed that you had been zoning out.

“Am I borin’ ye?” he asked, pretending to pout.

“No of course not,” you were quick to assure him, before pausing a moment. “Well…”

He gasped.

“No! You’re not boring me. It’s just…we are just sitting around drinking stolen, bad, vodka,” you took a swig of the bottle in question and grimaced at its rubbing alcohol aftertaste.

“We could do somethin’ else,” he said, smirking and waggling his eyebrows before plucking the vodka out of your hands and chugging some.

You laughed and rolled your eyes, leaning over to punch him lightly in the shoulder.

“I was thinking more like...how do you feel about petty crime and vandalism?”

He gave you a curious look. “I’d say I’m a fan.”

“Good,” you said, taking out your phone to send a quick text to your friend to see if they could drop you some supplies. “Because I noticed a lovely barren expanse of walls on my walk over here that are just begging to be graffitied.”

“I’ve never done it,” he said with a shrug, “but I’m game.”

“Well,” you said, digging through the shopping bag you had found in the open boot of an abandoned car, right where you were expecting it, “El really came through with the supplies and the world is our canvas.”

You threw your hands in a broad gesture, before planting your fist on your hip. “And by that, I mean these two walls are our canvas.”

Nathan laughed, shaking his head wryly at you. “Lovely. So, what d’ we do?”

“Oh.” Your face fell slightly. You didn’t really know how to explain it to him. You had been painting street art for so long that it just came naturally to you. “Um...I guess you just, pick a can of paint and go for it. Paint whatever you’re feeling or thinking about. Or just your initials or something in a cool way. Whatever you want.”

“Hmm. Maybe I should watch ya for a bit, get some inspiration,” he drawled, giving you a cocky half-smile.

“I...uh...sure, if you want.” You shifted awkwardly, trying to ignore his gaze that felt like it was burning into the back of your neck as you riffled through the options to find the color you wanted. Stepping back, you looked critically at the wall, calculating it’s dimensions and what to start with. Satisfied that you had everything mapped out in your head, you set to work on the outline.

Nathan watched you work, your whole body moving fluidly in a way that sent his thoughts racing (not there was much you could do that didn’t), your brow knitted in fierce concentration. Once you had a vague outline of whatever you were designing, which he couldn’t even begin to guess, you shifted your focus to each individual section and detail. Occasionally, you would take a step back to see how the whole thing was coming together, tilting your head one way or the other, tongue poking out between your teeth slightly. He had never seen you so free and relaxed.

Suddenly, inspiration struck him and he practically dove into the shopping bag, rooting about for what he’d need. Taking a couple of the cans, he ducked around the corner to get started, a strange creative fire lighting in him.

“Finally come up with something?” you called softly, teasing.

“Yeah, yeah I did,” he said, almost absently. “But it’s a surprise, so no peekin’.”

“Ooh, mysterious.”

“Ye gotta promise ye won’t look til I say, Y/N,” he insisted.

“Alright,” you frowned, surprised he was getting so tetchy. “Cross my heart, I won’t peek. I’m pretty busy over here anyway.”

About an hour later, you put the final touch on your piece, your artist’s mark at the bottom so that anyone who knew anything would know who painted it. Stepping back, you smiled, wiping the slight sheen of sweat from your brow, formed by your exertion despite the cool night.

“You almost done, Nathan?” you called, surprised that he had been practically silent since he started working.

“Oh, yeah,” he called back distractedly. “Nearly. But I’ll come over there.”

“Sure,” you answered, puzzled by his odd behavior.

While you waited, you started gathering up the spray paints, putting any cans that still had paint in them back in the bag and tossing the empties in a nearby bin.

“Wow,” you heard Nathan say, making you jump as he appeared behind your back.

He was looking up at your art piece in awe. You had painted one of your signature designs: a laughing skull with flowers spilling from its open mouth. This time, the flowers were marigolds and foxgloves, and you had added a twist in the form of literal emerald eyes. You were quite proud of it, and Nathan seemed impressed.

“You like it?” you asked sheepishly, the heat of a blush creeping across your face.

“I love it,” he exclaimed, pulling out his phone to snap a grainy picture of it. “Make a cool shirt or somethin’. Or a pirate tattoo. Very punk.”

You rolled your eyes and stuck your tongue out at him. “It’s been an...evolving design since I was like 14. Leave me alone.”

“I’m not messin with ya, Y/N. I really like it.”

“Well, thank you.” You smiled and he grinned back, and for a moment you were lost in that. And then you remembered his very secret work.

“So Hotshot, do I get to see yours now?” you asked.

He jumped, startled and then shrugged, mumbling. “‘F you want ta.”

“Of course I do,” you said, taking a step toward the corner.

“No wait! If it’s a surprise, I should cover your eyes and lead you to it.”

Knowing him, you were suspicious that he had some prank or ulterior motive in mind, but you nodded your ascent. He moved up behind you, pressing his chest against your back and curling his long fingers over your eyes.

“Can ya see anything?” he asked.

“Nope. Totally blind.”

Slowly he walked you across the gravel ground. Once you stopped, he started shifting you around by little steps in one direction or another, as if trying to get you into exactly the right spot.

“Alright,” he said, a nervous tick to his voice. “Ta-dah!”

He dramatically uncovered your eyes to show what he'd been working on.

“Oh,” you breathed, stunned.

Staring back at you from the wall were a pair of eyes caught in mid-wink. Your eyes. Captured in exquisite detail, right down to the scar in your brow, earned as a child trying to stop a group of older boys from dropping a paper sack full of kittens into the drainage ditch during a downpour.

“Nathan.” You felt your heart swell at the level of dedication, the obvious emotion he’d put into this, and tried to keep your voice from breaking.

He scuffed the toe of his dirty sneakers in the gravel, looking down and away sheepishly.

“I know. It ain't very good and it's jus' yer eyes instead o’ yer whole face but I thought this way you wouldn't get busted. And ye said t' paint what I was thinkin of…”

You turned to face him, reluctantly pulling your eyes away from the work of art before you. Tucking a hand gently under his chin, you drew his gaze back to you.

“It’s beautiful,” you murmured, making sure he could see the sincerity in your expression.

He blushed, barely noticeable under the dim lights. “Ya think?”

You nodded, snaking your arm around his neck and stepping closer. His hand dropped to your waist as if on instinct.

“And very sweet. Some might say romantic even.”

“Hey, don’t go spreading those lies! I have a reputation to maintain ya know,” he joked, obviously trying to hide his discomfort at your praise.

“Nah, I like keeping that secret all to myself better anyway,” you teased, smirking before stretching up on your toes to press a teasing kiss to his lips.

He groaned, pulling you closer and kissing you back, tongue trailing over your lip almost immediately. You parted to let him explore your mouth, toying with an errant curl at the nape of his neck. Slowly he guided you backward, only to suddenly jerk you to the side, accidentally biting your lip in the process.

“Ow,” you whined, pulling back and bringing a finger to your lip to see if you were bleeding. “What was that?”

“Didn’t want to mess up the art,” he explained. “Or my jacket.”

“What do you mean?” you frowned.

He looked at you incredulously. You glanced down, realizing that in your haste to get ready, you had indeed pulled on his signature plaid-lined black garment.

“Oh,” you said softly before turning your face back up toward his with a smirk and a shrug to rival his most unapologetic expressions. “Oops.”

“Ye’re lucky ye’re so damn cute, or I might be mad at ya,” he teased.

“I’m sure I can think of some way to make it up to you,” you hummed, raising an eyebrow.

He grinned at you, and you stretched up to kiss him again, but just as your lips met, a strong, chill wind cut whistling through, causing you both to shiver.

“Maybe we should take this back to my place?” he asked, breath ghosting across your face.

“I like the sound of that,” you smiled back.

Quickly, slid the bag of remaining paint cans under the nearby dumpster for your friend to pick up later. All traces of your presence in the area (except of course the now much more beautiful wall) removed, you turned back to Nathan, ready to head out. He draped an arm around your shoulders and you happily leaned in to the gesture, tucking yourself against his side. As you walked back toward the community center, your head resting on his shoulder, you thought of something.

“Nathan,” you asked, slightly hesitant, fearful that he might put up walls against you again. “I thought you said you’d never done this before?”

“I haven’t,” he answered casually.

“Then how were you so good at it? The level of detail and real, genuine artistry…”

He shrugged, taking his arm from around you to fumble in his pockets for a cigarette and a lighter, the latter of which he couldn’t seem to find. You reached into the pocket of your jeans, holding out yours and letting him light the end of the cig with it. The distraction passed, you looked back at him as he looked pointedly away and took a long drag.

“I dunno. I mean it’s not that different from doodlin’ on paper with a pen or whatever, right?” he said finally with another shrug.

“That was more than ‘doodling’, Nathan,” you said, plucking the cigarette from his lips and placing it between your own.

He pouted at you as you took a drag and offered it back. His lips brushed against your fingers as he took it back, sending a shiver down your spine.

“Guess I’m just a man of mystery,” he said vaguely, draping his arm back around your shoulder.

“I guess so,” you murmured, not voicing how much you look forward to finding them all out.

Overall thoughts; they really crammed all the North High drama into one ep huh. Personally would have liked it if all of this was spread out throughout the last few episodes; like different hijinks for every episode. I'm just a big fan of properly setting up the overall arc over the season instead of patching it together closer to the climax/end of the show. Cos now it lowkey feels like two different seasons - 2A felt like The Rini/Rina Show esp with YAC storyline and whatever was going on with Rina and now 2B is finally feeling like what this season should have been all this time

1. Talk about the first time you and your f/o met. How was it like?

i still haven’t entirely decided... i know i end up on the ship somehowww... um... dunno if it has anything to do with the actual plot/reason why they rolled up to port royal (i’ll know more details when i do a rp. all i know is i want the Drama), but... it sucked! :) i complained a lot. i was terrified of course but i couldn’t let them know that. i was too outraged!

2. How long did it take for you and your f/o to gain feelings for each other? Was it fast or did the feelings grow slowly? Who was the first to get romantic feelings?

i didn’t think i’d like him at all... especially not romantically. but umm... it was a slow build up. no idea how long we were stuck together. ocean travel is long and arduous lol

anyone would be surprised to know that it was me who fell first. but again... he isn’t allowed to know that.

3. Did it start off as a small crush for you, or did you quickly fall head over heels? How about vice versa?

my s/i is all-or-nothing so when she loves you, she LOVES YOU. no take-backs. vice versa... uhh never mind i don’t want to imagine him liking me 🏃

4. Was there a special moment between you guys that got you to realize you had feelings for them? Was it a deep conversation, spending more quality time with them or something else? How about vice versa?

WELL LIKE I SAID we had plenty of time to spend together! especially as i’ve already talked about how i wasn’t really allowed to (and didn’t want to) wander around... there were many moments we had alone together... most of them were inevitably non-cordial, but... i learned a lot. probably more than i wanted to... although mostly because i didn’t want a pirate to be humanized (or i mean at this point he wasn’t really human but you know what i mean) for me. i wanted to keep betting on going home and all of them getting their dues... but oops i guess i like him now! of course, my realization would have probably been after all the weird cursed gold stuff went down but i can forgive that i guess 😤

As a note, I apparently do not know how to ‘just write headcanons’ for these two, and I just straight up started writing bLURBS AHH-

Mermaid AU: Who is the adventurous mermaid who swims a little too close to the shore? Who is the curious human who finds them? Give one headcanon about you and your f/o’s relationship in this AU!

It goes without saying that for this AU, their first meeting(s) would be as wee beans. For those that don’t know what I mean by wee beans, they’re all children. Cause it’s adorable, and that’s how my brain thought these up.

For Hiei, he’d be the mermaid (merman?) and Gabe would be the Human.

Just Hiei being a tsundere little shit, like “No, I’m not getting too close to the Humans! I’m just making sure they won’t find us...” but the section of shore line that Hiei likes to hang out and sunbathe in, also happens to be Gabe’s little hiding spot away from everyone. So one day while Hiei’s laid back on a rock, almost asleep, Gabe stumbles down, rubbing at their eyes, so they don’t see him. As they settle against Hiei’s rock, still not having noticed him, Hiei had noticed them, and the fact that they were upset.

“Why are you crying?”

The question makes Gabe jump, and they start rubbing harder at their face as they stand back up. “I’m sorry, I didn’t think anyone would be here. I’ll leave...” They lower their hands to look at him, and finally notice he’s a merman.

“You don’t have to leave yet. Not til you answer my question first, at least...”

Gabe eventually manages to calm down enough to answer him, “My family don’t like me, and keep calling me a monster...”

“Hn. A Human as pretty as you can’t possibly be a monster.” At Gabe’s smile, Hiei smiles a little too. “I’m Hiei.”

“My name’s Gabe. Will you... be my friend?”

Hiei nods, smiling more.

For Dabi, Gabe’s the mermaid.

Touya had been going to that section of beach almost every day for a month, now; It seemed to be ignored by most of the locals, with tall grass and weeds growing right up to the waters edge. He thought he’d heard singing coming from there one day while walking by, and he’d hoped to find the source. Touya had tripped, crying out in surprise as his face met sand, before hearing a splashing sound and silence. Today, he was hoping his luck would change.

As he walked closer, he thought he could hear a melody over the wind. Touya had to force himself to be careful this time, didn’t need to trip and scare them away again. As he crept close, the song got louder and louder, and he could start making out the words the person sung. Passing a large driftwood log, a figure came into view, leaning over a large rock to look down into a tide pool. Their blonde hair gently swayed back and forth as continued their song, watching as a small crab scuttled by a starfish. The red-head leaned forward, putting more of his weight on the log, hoping to get a better look at the singer.

The driftwood let out a creaky groan before moving under Touya, frightening both him and the blonde. The figures head shot up, looking straight at him before pushing themself away from the rock and into the water.

“Wait!” Touya cried out, running towards the rock. The crab had the good sense to scuttle under the crags of the rock, before the human accidentally stepped on him. He jumped up onto it, where the figure had been resting, looking over to try and find them, but there was no sign of them. He sighed, and sat down, catching his breath.

“I just wanted to tell you that I liked your song...”

Hearing nothing but the waves lapping against the rock in response, Touya stood back up and turned to hop off the rock.

“...You liked it?”

The question made Touya jump and whip back around to the water, quickly loosing his balance and falling back into ocean. He felt the burn of the frigged water, followed by arms around him, pulling him back up. He’s set down on the rock, just out of the water.

“Are all humans this accident prone, or is it just you?” the voice joked. Touya opened his eyes, and saw the blonde figure in front of him, still half in the water.

“...Aren’t you cold?” He asked, noticing they weren’t wearing a shirt of any kind.

“Why would I get cold? Do humans not have good circulation? Is that why you wear those fabrics?”

“Huh? What do you mean?” Touya stared at them, confused by their questions. He looked down at the water again, and noticed something shimmering at their waist. “...Are you not human?”

The blonde shook their head. “I’m a mermaid!” A look of guilt shot across their face and they ducked down slightly. “We’re not supposed to let humans know we exist... You promise not to tell anyone, yeah?”

Touya quickly nodded as he grinned. “I promise!”

The blonde grinned back. “I’m ᎶᏗᏰᏒᎥᏋᏝ.” At the sight of Touya’s confused face, they slowly nodded, “You probably can’t pronounce that... Uhhh, you can call me Gabe?”

“And you can call me Touya!”

Roaring 20s AU: Who is new to the city or visiting family in the city? Who’s the wealthy bachelor who notices them at a party? Give one headcanon about you and your f/o’s relationship in this AU!

Dabi would the wealthy bachelor? With Gabe being new to the city.

Touya had been dragged to the party by Natsuo, who just wanted him to have some fun without their father constantly breathing down his neck. Gabe had also been dragged to the party, by Atsuhiro, so they could make some new friends. So Gabe’s off being a social butterfly with Atsu, and Touya notices them flitting around, and their joy is almost infectious, and he can’t help but go and say hello.

Now for Hiei... He’d be visiting Kurama for one reason or another, and Kurama convinced him to go to the party to loosen up a bit. Hiei’s always constantly stressed, and maybe a bit of light-hearted shenanigans would do him some good. Gabe’s been too busy lately to just relax, and let’s their brother Yusuke convince them to come to the party as well. Yusuke and Kurama are old friends, so of course they introduce the two, and the enjoy the party together.

Fake dating AU: Who has a plan and needs a fake partner to show to their parents or ex? Who begrudgingly agrees? Give one headcanon about you and your f/o’s relationship in this AU!

In both cases, it’ll be Gabe who needs a partner, cause we already have Hero!Dabi needing the fake partner for that wedding.

Hiei doesn’t understand why the witch would need him to pretend to be their date, Kurama would do a much more convincing job of it. But the longer he thinks about that, the more upset the thought makes him, so he stops thinking about it, and agrees to parade around for their family. The sight of Gabe relaxing in relief has him feeling a certain way, and now he’s confused and slightly worried there’s something wrong with him.

Hiei hasn’t experienced these feelings before, so he goes to talk to Kurama, who would surely know the answer.

“Hiei, you like them.”

“I tolerate their existence.”

“I think you love them.”

“What? No, that’s ridiculous.”

Well, Kurama didn’t have the right answer.

So Hiei goes through the week of Gabe’s family visiting, holding their hand, constantly being near them, and letting Gabe do all the talk as he watched them. On the last day of the visit, it finally clicks that he actually enjoyed being that close to them, and after today, he wouldn’t be able to do that anymore.

And fuck, Kurama was right.

So he goes and tracks them down. Luckily, Gabe’s just chilling in their room, as it’s still early, and they didn’t want to talk with anyone yet. So, true to Hiei fashion, he’s terrible with words, and just goes in for a kiss, hoping that would get his point across.

It does.

For Dabi... Hmm...

Gabe and Dabi would be chilling in a random bar, when in walks a rather attractive looking woman, who smirks when she sees Gabe and starts walking over.

“Ahh, fuck it’s my ex... Uhh... Can you make out with me?”

Dabi almost spits out his drink, “What?��

“Make out with me! I don’t want to deal with her manipulative ass tonight. I will cook you dinner for a month-” Their offer was cut off as Dabi’s fingers lifted their chin towards him, and he moved in to kiss them. Just as Gabe started to kiss back, Dabi felt a tap on his shoulder. He slowly pulled away slightly, just enough to glance at the woman, who was now sporting an offended look on her face.

“Excuse me, can you stop making out with my boyfriend?”

Dabi slowly looked her up and down, before smirking, and pulling Gabe over to straddle his lap. “Sorry, sweetheart, but I think you mean my boyfriend. They broke up with your terrible sense of style ages ago,” and pulled Gabe’s face down to connect with his again. The woman’s best impression of a fish did nothing to break their kiss a second time, leaving her to storm off, spouting off obscenities and threats.

After a minute, and neither could hear her screaming anymore, they parted again, their breathing heavier than expected. “Thanks Dabi. I... Really appreciate that.” Gabe smiled as a tint of red started to creep onto their face.

“Don’t worry about it,” Dabi smiled back, rubbing his thumbs gently on Gabe’s hips where he’d rested them. “I... Uh... wouldn’t mind skipping out on those dinners, if... you wanted to keep making out on a more... romantic basis...?”
