Alrighty, I think I've settled on some decent questions to ask you as a fellow writer so here goes:

(keep in mind, I only just now saw Kaz's question that you answered so I don't know how many of these you've already been asked)

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?) 5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [insert fic]? Answer it now! 25. What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write? 45. What’s something you’ve improved on since you started writing fic?

Answer any combination of these ones, I know you'll probably answer all of them, but if you don't particularly feel it then only answer one of them. You're supposed to be taking the hard month easy, so pick the one that stands out the most to you and run with that one.

What fic of yours would you rec as a place for someone to start?

Hmm... It's a hard call between Quicksand and A Light Touch honestly. I had a lot of fun with both, but I think I'd go with A Light Touch. It's a good show of story, smut, world-building, and cartharsis - it gets intense a couple times, and if you can enjoy the ride there's not really anything I write that goes beyond it. (Passing Fascination will, but it's kind of stand alone as an explicitly yandere title anyway).

Not to skip #5, but if there was something I wanted to talk about regarding a story, I would. I'm terrible at keeping my excitement tucked away on something. But I always love answering questions, even if I've touched on something before.

Websites and resources... hm... there's a fandom wikia for One Piece and thelibraryofohara.com that I use the most. The wikia for names and birthdays and heights, cause I'm not even gonna try to memorize that stuff XD and the Library of O'hara for timelines and other interesting little bits and bites. Aside from that I usually listen to Spotify - music just helps me focus, and I'll make picture collages of whoever the love interest is and keep it off to the side. The visuals help keep my mind on task.

What's something I've improved on since I started writing fic?

Probably everything. I wrote a disgusting amount of words last year, and I hope to match that this year. Practice makes perfect, as they say, but also I'm lucky to be surrounded by writers who are as good as me or better. Seeing how other describe certain emotions or events helps me refine my own approach.

It also took me a couple months to really find my voice, and nearly a year to sort out how to efficiently edit my work without wanting to pull my hair out. (I let something read it to me, picking up missed words or misspelled words is easier via audio, at least for me).

People started asking me to beta read stuff too, which I'm honored to help out with when I can, and it's an experience to see how other folks go through the process.

He’d love a bottle tree and, given you could see him, you could often find him sitting in the branches looking at the rainbows.)

Something about the title just is Huxley, you know? Again, it’s bringing that rock-foundation-table energy I was talking about, the love that is present, everyday, and safe. It’s not glamorous per se, but it’s magical all the same.

So I was very tempted to say Aaron- you’d be hard pressed to find a more stable, trustworthy life partner in crime than him. At the same time, Ollie spoke to me because I know you’re a fuckin goof, and I think the goof in Ollie would speak to the goof in you. (Ollie strikes me as the type to also read Naruto fanfiction or, at the very least, would read the ones you rec him.) Huxley struck a very happy medium between the two.

Great! My recommendation is the game “Something’s Wrong With Sunny Day Jack”. The full game isn’t out yet but the demo is free on itch.io, there’s also an in character interview, and a short two part non canon audio drama. The Yandere, Sunny Day Jack, is a soft Yandere, and He’s got to be one of the most interesting and well written yanderes I’ve seen. The full game will be on Steam. There’s also more lore and backstory on one of the creator’s, @/jambeebot’s twitter. I found the game a month ago and it’s my new favorite lol. Anyways, sorry for rambling, love your writing, hope you like the rec!

Sooo i got into this yandere stuff bc of you and was wondering if you have any horror rec? Could be book, manga, blog etc. (tho i usually hate horror films because they rely on jumpscare too much)

I really prefer shorter, vocal narrations of horror stories, like those ten-minute horror narrations on Youtube (check out MrCreepyPasta, Lazy Mascarade, and ClacnyPasta, I’m trash but they’re good), but if you’re looking for full-length books, I am not the person to go to. I have this weak spot for short, trashy horror novels that are about as well-written as what you’ll expect from something in the discount section of Target, and believe me, I make selections. The Third Twin (C.J. Omololu) is one of my classic favorites, as is anything ever written by Danielle Vega.

I’ve been really into Junji Ito’s mangas, too (Umakazi can beat Tomi any day and that is a fact), and if you want an existential crisis wherein the author’s having as much fun as you are, check out Tales From The Gas-Station. There’s a free audio-narration of the incomplete ‘first season’ on Youtube, which I would listen to before reading the book. Both are good, but the latter is so much better when you’re reading it like the narration. Just trust me.
