Askeladd is made aware of how he is nothing to you but a character in a story. He is your favorite character in the story. He smirks every time he sees you reading the manga or fanfiction with him as the main protagonist. He flexes the muscles underneath his breastplate and other armor during the edits that you watch, just to make you flush extra hard. He has always loved making the lads and maidens light-headed with embarrassment and flirtatiousness.
So, of course, he teases you just a little bit.
"Like what you see, love?"
You are in shock as you hear his voice through the edit. However, he has never said that in the anime. Perhaps it was a voice actor or an AI voice that said that line for some reason. You shake it off and continue on with your day. That one line is playing through your head throughout the day. Even if he isn't real, Askeladd is definitely a hot Viking man.
You end up aimlessly flipping through the manga the next night with that one in mind. It's just normal, so why did it sound so tender and loving when he said it? You open up to them when they are in Gorms village. You see Askeladd with his shirt off near a fireplace, drinking a horn of mead. He wears only his leather slacks as he leans against his bed frame with his muscles flexing. That wasn't in the story! You shut it quickly and opened it up, only to see him looking at you now with his trademark smirk on him. Over the next couple of days, you look through the manga once again, and that page has disappeared. I told you that he just loves to taunt you.
Askeladd knows that he knows, but you don't know that he is self-aware. So he does the most to be subtle enough for you not to know that he is self-aware but noticeable enough that you end up blushing and flustered by his teasing compliments and obvious flirtations. He manipulates the panels to show himself in his daily life. He'll even flirt with village women to see how you react. He always has a laugh out of panel and plots out of panel what he should do next to make you flustered.
Bjorn is very confused when Askeladd says that he is courting someone. "Who?" He shrugs his shoulders and is very secretive about being self-aware. He is possessive over you, as you are his reader... his lad/maiden/gentlethem. Askeladd is able to be considered a gentle yandere. He is gentle and flirtatious towards you, but he is still manipulative and possessive.
You may not realize this yet, but he is the love of your life, and one day God's will bless him by taking you into his world. He just knows it.

Yandere Thorfinn And The Things He Does (For You)
In which you have joined Askeladd’s band…and grow closer to the Son of Thors. However, it seems like this was a mistake...for your bond might get twisted.

This is honestly just a uh Yandere version of the 5.1 and 5.2 HTSAWH posts 😬 the insane potential Thorfinn as a Yandere has in S1 and S2 got me in a chokehold.
I started it, got writer's block and then wanted to finish the S1 HTSAWH series first cause this one just goes at it. It devours.
So...
Remember when I started with 'Thorfinn won't ever admit anything?' That still rings true.
However, this time it seems like he knows what he is feeling. It feels like an aching softness he feels whenever he sees you, a warmth that almost burns him and spreads out from his heart. Longing that twists and turns like a mad snake.
These butterflies and the beating of his heart are as clear the shine of the sun and the cold of snow. He can feel it, physically feel it pumping through his body at the mere thought of you.
He cannot explain it nor knows when it started but he doesn't mind either way. Far from it.
He is young and stubborn. A side of him doesn't want to accept such mushy emotions but he has no strength nor will power to even attempt at fighting it all back. He is still boyish, still inexperienced and it all feels so good. He wants to let his heart give in.
The blonde is good at masking it though. Mostly because his life is so hectic that he never really gets the chance to indulge in anything, lest his feelings and inclinations.
I can still imagine him acting non-affectionate with you. Dragging, pushing and pulling. Though his touch is akin to velvet gloves and he tends to touch you far, far, far too much and a whole lot more.
The pushes are there but brief with his hand on your back - and once he gently shoves you, his hand is right back where it orginally was. Broad and warm palm pressed against your skin for support.
Dragging you because you talked too long to someone else? Of course. Taking you elsewhere since your eyes seem to wander to something else? Sure. Simply wanting you to be somewhere else with no one but Thorfinn? Why, yes.
While doing so he often gets the urge to have his hold slip down from your wrist to your hand and firmly hold it. He wants your fingers to clasp around his hand and hold it. Hold his hand. He bets yours is warm.
Though he is too embarrased to do so...and he won't have an answer or comeback if you question him on the sudden change of behaviour.
Pulling? What he pulls he wants to pull on your heart strings like you do his is usually you closer to him for safety or warmth. Wrapping an arm around you and pressing you to his side, either for others to get the message that you are NOT to be attacked or to keep warm in the cold mornings. He doesn't mind either way and it is one of the many things he likes to do most. It's warm and comfortable, makes his heart sing to have you this close, it makes him feel like a protector and that you belong together. Neither of you need anyone else. It's you and Thorfinn against the world.
He is scarce with his words when he initiates any kind of physical contact but his touch is gentler than a mother's.
He still likes to pull on your hair, briefly though and just to annoy you.
Thorfinn likes your hair...he pulls on it to annoy you but also to just feel it for a second at least.
Signs of affection or intimacy coming from you is different however.
The one thing that makes Thorfinn spiral down into his lovesickness and hits him with a tsunami of realization of his feelings for you is when you smile.
Your lives aren't easy being part of Askeladd's band. The fighting, the killing, the surviving, the cruelty and mockery of Askeladd and his men - it gives no one a reason to be even joyful for a moment, really. He knows he doesn't. The only reason he can find himself smiling for is you.
So it almost is akin to a miracle when your eyes crinkle and the corners of your mouth go up so naturally because it is so rare. When your grin already rivals the sun and you accompany it with laughter? It's like Thorfinn is transported to a different life entirely.
A life where you two share joy. Where it is only you two.
99% of the time you are smiling because of him since the young man is the only one you really have, at least as a source of companionship, kindness and comfort.
And 99% of the time when you smile you are looking straight at him.
He caught his breath and right there is the realization of his feelings. Of the fact that the cold and brooding viking boy has normal feelings, feelings for someone, and they are this deep and sweet too.
His heart is trying to rip out his chest and the sight of you makes him feel so special. He can make you feel this way, can make you happy even if it is for a moment. No one but him should see it.
At the same time he is blown away by your smile's beauty. He can't remember the last time he ever saw someone smile (it was a long time ago, 11 years) and he never knew a smile could look this stunning. But then, he comes to realize, it is only stunning because it belongs to you.
He freezes up as if you had stabbed him. You grow concerned, asking what's wrong before he avoids your gaze and turns away a few moments later. The young man still needs to digest your words, laughter and smile before a small one appears on his face. It was nice...
But when he turns around, your smile is gone already. Of course you won't be standing there grinning like an idiot, especially after Thorfinn weirdly zoned out there. It deflates him a bit and only makes him more determined to make you smile each time he sees you like that.
You're beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...
And when you say or do something affectionate? Thorfinn dies.
Again, he freezes up like a cat before really getting used to it. Even when your touches have a logical reason behind them (fingers grazing over his skin while checking for injuries), the blonde melts anyway. Its...foreign and different and so, so soothing. He likes it quite a bit but won't ever admit so.
In fact, once gets really used to it and your soft touch becomes a routine, Thorfinn really leans into it. Closing his eyes and letting out such a tired sigh as if he had been holding it for months. It's therapeutic for him, really, almost like a release of all tensions. Nothing but you wander his mind and soul right now in moments like these.
When you usher him to wake up by tapping his face he sometimes pretends to be still asleep just so you'd touch him more. When you come closer to his face and speak louder with your breath fawning over his lips...his heart picks up and before an excited smile overcomes him, the lad 'wakes up' (and annoyingly tells you to be quiet. Partly not to blow his cover but also to joke).
The moment your fingers glide over his palm as he leads you elsewhere OMG OMG OMG. As if you want to hold his hand...while Thorfinn gazes ahead with stern eyes he is waiting with bated breath on your next move only to feel the disappointment grow when you aren't reaching out to hold his hand. He blushes profusely at the realization, feeling embarassed.
When out camping, you can be sure Thorfinn will not let you out of his sight ONCE. Especially after Askeladd's attempt at killing you, the thought of leaving you alone would not cross his mind once (even if Askeladd's stunt didn't happen).
Sitting on opposite ends makes more sense to watch you but he quickly finds out that he much rather prefers to be as close to you as possible (what a great opportunity to wrap his arm around you to keep you warm at the fire place). Nevertheless his stare seems stern and dark as he watches and listens like a guard dog. What matters most is your safety, that's something he knew from the very start, whether he was lovesick before or not.
Might end up staying up all night keeping you safe. Watches you often just to see the rise of your chest as you sleep peacefully. It makes him calm and slightly proud as he's doing a good job so far.
During the night he keeps checking if you are sweating, too hot/too cold. Will take off his own cloak and wrap it around you/off you when needed.
There are nights where he just stares at you with an unreadable gaze. His body is moving on his own, it's as if there are no thoughts in his head and he's just following instincts. His fingers graze your cheek and brush your hair out of your face. It's fascinating to watch you like this.
You aren't glaring, frowning or smiling. All of your muscles are relaxed as you sleep peacefully as if nothing in this world could hurt you (Thorfinn couldn't and wouldn't let that happen). The blonde leans further down to get a closer look and will just...stay like this, watching. Watching your chest rise, how your breath leaves your parted lips, how the light of the fire engulfs your form.
It's...enchanting. That's the only word he can find that fits what he's feeling.
Whatever you two decide to do, Thorfinn will wordlessly be deciding to be joined at the hip even if you don't need him or suggest to split up. "No." He bluntly tells you as he glares but his eyes are soft as he does. His tone is not, however.
It's simply out of the question. He can be as loving as he wants to be but the viking will NEVER EVER leave you alone, or leave you entirely. No, you are far too important, far too precious.
He doesn't let you leave either. When he trains, he doesn't let you stray far. When he eats, sleeps and kills, you are to be close. Even in his many duels with Askeladd does he want you to be in the first row to watch him, watch him win (he never does but is stubborn enough to delude himself into believing it).
Whenever you decide that you are not needed in this situation/activity and attempt to leave, Thorfinn will call out and stop you. "Where are you going? Stay here." He's blunt and gives no explanation on why except by broadly mentioning possible dangers and that there is nothing out there to go to anyway. Where are you going in this dense, lonely forest? If anything, you're just gonna get attacked by a boar. Stay here with him or let him come with you. These are always your only two options.
Bathing is a necessetiy but usually not for Thorfinn. He'll gladly drop everything if you want to go bathe so that he can keep watch for you and your belongings. However, the young man usually ends up bathing too once you convince him.
Take all the time that you need, Thorfinn is ready to keep guard until dusk if necessary. He'd stay still like a statue with the eyes of a hawk for any potential dangers. Your belongings are right there at his feet.
Now, this can be easy to misunderstand hence why Thorfinn never lets himself be caught...but he takes glimpses of you while you bathe. Not for perverted reasons but because he...simply wants to. A lot of the rather quiet things he does for you and to you are most of the time always something akin to instincts. Thorfinn is fond of you, very much so, which is why his hand is reaching for yours on its own. It's the reason why he shoves you behind him during battle, why he seems to want to caress your hair, why he almost automatically always sits near you and why he wants to watch you bathe. He doesn't even really know what this is and if they can really be called 'instincts'...but he doesn't mind it and doesn't question it. It feels right.
Your face is beautiful. Your smile is beautiful. Your hair is beautiful. Your eyes are beautiful. Your form is beautiful. So he wants to see your nude body because he is certain it is beautiful, too.
And he's right. You're beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...
This is never going to happen since he prioritizes your safety above all else and will always keep watch, but Thorfinn would like to bathe with you. Just once.
Again, not for any perverted reasons but because the intimacy would make it so special. Both of you don't trust anyone but each other so only you two could see each other like this. No one else.
No one else could wash your and his back, no one else would be able to see your beauty like Thorfinn can.
It's wish thinking, really, really wish thinking but he would love to embrace your nude body flush against his. The warmth of your naked skins against each other in the water with the sun shining down...the closeness, the intimacy, the warmth. It's a dream he is longing for even if he does so secretly.
The bond the two of you have is just this special. Nothing and no one could sever or replicate it. He really likes the feeling of the world being your enemy and you two being the other's only companion. Just you and him. You and him. You and him.
Grooming is done together as well.
Brushing his hair is...embarassing but it feels so good. His heart is pumping feeling you so close, your hands running through his hair, maybe you even hum or just talk...
It's embarassing...but it's so nice. Nice enough that he'll let you brush his hair more often, as well as cut it if you want.
Thorfinn would only do it when necessary though. Your touch is nice but goodness, it's not the only way he can melt and revel at your kindness. Brushing and cutting hair is just a way to enjoy your touch in a different way.
Will close his eyes, flush a bright red and usually ends up leaning against you in his sitting position. It's nice. Do continue and do whatever else you want, too. It just adds to the experience.
Though the blonde is a bit too flustered to talk back if you converse with him.
He'll gladly cut and brush your hair. Uses the opportunity to run his fingers through your hair again and again and again and again. The urge to do this just overtakes him and even if he looks very concentrated with his usual scowl, believe him that he is thoroughly enjoying this.
Tries bis best to cut your hair the way you want it to...but he's still not good at it. He learns with each session so give him time. Additionally, he very much likes to cut your hair with his dagger. It gives him a little boost, a sense of purpose that the weapon that already protects you now grooms your hair. Thorfinn's dagger, which belonged to his father, is protecting, helping and grooming you, doing everything for you - and in a way, Thorfinn is doing all of this since he is wielding the blade. Whenever he wields the dagger for you no matter for what reason, it gives him a boost of self-confidence as your protector - which he heavily sees himself as.
Yes, Thorfinn very much so sees himself as your protector, even if you don't agree. In fact, he won't care what you or others think, Thorfinn IS your protector. There is no doubt about in his mind.
When fighting, there are only three important things: Survival, holding up a deal to get a duel with Askeladd and your safety. You are the priority.
So the blonde won't care what he has to do, what he must endure or who has to die to keep you safe. Thorfinn utterly despises the fact that you are often on the battlefield and that Askeladd out of all people are ordering you to fight vexes him even more. You shouldn't be fighting. You shouldn't be any where near danger, you are supposed to be away in a safe place waiting for him. Waiting for your protector, your Thorfinn. (In his mind he belongs to you).
So he gets extra pissy and aggressive on the battlefield, shoving you behind him, shushing you when you disagree and yelling at you to stay away! No more fighting for you! He doesn't care what he has to do or how he has to convince Askeladd but you are not. Going. To fight. Anymore.
Due to the sudden aggessiveness and adrenaline, Thorfinn becomes a beast during fights. There is no mercy in his eyes nor heart as he slaughters one enemy after another, as if they were twigs he pushes away while running through a forest.
Anything can be a danger to you. You could die and that's a thought he cannot actually bear!
No. No, no, no, no, no. It won't happen. It won't happen. It won't happen.
Screaming like a banshee as these words are repeating in his head. He stabs and stabs and stabs and seems lost and drowning in his anger, in his fear and squashes it all down with sheer determination. As long as he can take a breath, there will not be a single hair on your head harmed.
In the aftermath, after making sure every single enemy is dead on the ground will Thorfinn run back to you. He is covered in blood and his hands are desperately tight on his two daggers just in case anything might happen. His eyes are wide as blood runs down his face, panting. Once he found you he has to abruptly stop before he might run into you.
The first thing he does is mumble your name as he slowly awakens from his bloodied trance and his eyes that seemed so glazed over now narrow. He screams at you that you weren't supposed to fight, that you shouldn't do it again. Don't ever get involved in a battle again, no matter what that bastard Askeladd tells you!
Thorfinn is not really angry at you but rather still emotional ober the possibility that you could have died. That's not something he can allow and still lost in his rather emotional state - in fact, the viking boy always follows his emotions and guts as if they were a guidepost - he yells at you. He needs some time to calm down again.
However, you are calling him out as well that he just charged in there and that you had to fight! You cannot just turn your back especially when Askeladd is the one who brought you into this situation! Screaming at you won't change anything!
The young man is stumped for a bit and calms gradually down. Finally the daggers are put away and he keeps on interrupting himself as he struggles to voice out his feelings. "You could've died." He bluntly lets out before adjusting his stance. His hands reach out to your arms. "Let me look at your wounds".
He's trying to avoid his own emotions - he's too overwhelmed and doesn't know how to express himself. First he was scared for your life, then screams at you, can only see red...but he should be paying attention to you. You are what matters.
But once you shake your head and tell him you have none because he charged into battle like a boar...he goes silent again. His hands get ahold of your arms finally and he's looking you up and down, from head to toe.
An eerie grin appears on his face.
"...Good. Good." He absent-mindedly nods and rubs your arm.
Good. This is very good.
Thorfinn protected you. You are unharmed because he suceeded in protecting you, just like how it should be. This is how it always should be.
You snap him out of his trance when pointing all the blood on him. Thorfinn is the one wounded, why is he not looking after himself?
Because you matter first - that is his very first thought but he doesn't say it. He can't...not yet.
Ushering him to let you look at his injuries, the blonde complies with that eerie grin again. He lets you do anything you deem necessary to him while staring either into space or at you with that eerie smile. He basks in your concern especially if you dote on him.
He likes this. This is how it always should be. Thorfinn won't let anything go near you, he will fight for you, kill those that have the gall and arrogance to do you harm (because they deserve it. Anyone who thinks they can do anything to you deserves to be killed by him and only him) and return to you, into your arms, as your protector. He doesn't mind the blood that taints his face, hands and soul nor the stabs and broken bones in his body so long you are safe. And not just 'safe'...but safe with Thorfinn, because of Thorfinn. He wants to be your sole protection and he already is. You don't need anyone else.
And now here he is lying down and gazing at your beautiful, worried face as you tend and dote on him. He'd rather be nowhere else but here.
And if you do somehow get injured? The perpatrator will be met with a beast.
If you got hurt there is a high chance Thorfinn will just see red. Screams like a banshee and goes for the perperator to finish them off again and again and again. He'll pant like a dog after the deed is done and would need to collect himself before his thought process goes from "getting rid of the threat" to "you are hurt".
His clothes heavy, dripping with blood he hurries to you and in moments of panic, tend to your injuries as fast as possible.
In his mind, the faster you are tended to, the better.
However, his movements are hectic. Thorfinn cannot stand the sight of you hurt and he just believes he must fix it. Fast.
It is akin to a fight-or-flight response. Your injured body is something that brings stress and panic, so he acts accordingly to it. As hectic as he is, it is just as painful to be treated by him but the blonde always manages to tend you right.
Only after your are treated can Thorfinn let out a sigh of relieve. He'll sit next to you, glancing every other second to make sure you are okay. He keeps an keen eye on you until you are better.
If the injury is severe, expect him to embrace and press you close to him. Eyes blown wide as he pressed your head close, not believing how close to death you were. He says nothing but attmepts to collect his thoughts, breathing heavily.
At the least, he will sit close and hold your hand. At most, he'll have you sit on his lap as his arms are protectively wrapped around you (or he shifts his legs so you'll sit on the ground). He...must have a grip on you after all this. He must.
Once the day slowly ends, and you two are fortunate enough to find a stable or any other shelter, you might find Thorfinn to be quite...clingy.
It's strange. There are instances where he is exhausted and just falls on a hill of hay with a thump. Though as he lays there and turns to your direction, he reaches out his arm.
It's an invitation that slowly turned into a demand for you to come close. Sit or lay down, it doesn't matter to him. What does matter is that you are close. Close enough for Thorfinn.
If there are other balls or hills of hay where you'd like to sleep, Thorfinn will "prohibit" it grumpily and tells you to come closer. Close enough that if something were to happen, he can easily reach out to you. Without getting up but by simply leaning and stretching his body.
It stems from his overprotectiveness but also for his need of comfort (which he'd never admit). Nightmares are his familiars and if - rather when - they plague him again and he awakens with a start - you'll be there. You, beautiful, beautiful you and he can easily reach out for you. Grab your wrist or hand, anything, and have your touch as comfort to fall back asleep again.
After all, when he wakes up, either through another nightmare or by the rays of the sun, he'll still have you in his grasp and you'll still be there. It comforts him. Makes him believe everything is going to be okay.
However, there is seldomly, seldomly, seldomly, seldomly a chance where he feels bold and excited and overconfident when he tells you to come even closer.
It's a stark contrast to the usual Thorfinn, for the Thorfinn that isn't lovesick. He'd never ask or be vocal about wanting to be close, about wanting you to be in his arms as you sleep. Its...shocking but not the first time he requested this.
Well, winter is here. The cold, biting wind creaking its way into the open stable and it only makes sense.
Being close in each others' warmth prevents you from freezing to death, it only makes sense.
It isn't the first time.
However, cuddling with him isn't as easy as he makes it out to be. Actually laying down and shooting closer with your arms around each other flusters Thorfinn immensely. He only gingerly places his hands on your back and seems to grunt quietly, eyes darting. Once you finally settled in and wrapped your own arms around him, does he go awfully silent.
He clears his throat, grunts and blinks, glancing around between you and anything else. Thorfinn is excited yet flustered, happy yet nervous. It was a mix of emotions whirling inside him and now that...he got what he wanted, he doesn't know what to do.
If his odd behavior concerns you, you could let out a soft 'is this okay?'
The blonde's breath hitches - then he hesitates. A moment later, he nods in a way that you almost reckon to be timid but surely not Thorfinn?
While cuddling, Thorfinn will surely stare at you. Stare at your face with an unblinking gaze. He'd do so while you sleep and while you are awake.
You can tell him how uncomfortable it makes you which he'll reply to with the quietest 'right' and 'sorry'. Nevertheless, he'd continue to do so anyhow as long as you dont notice.
You're just...nice. So nice to look at. He rarely gets to see you so close in a place and time where everything is so peaceful.
Alone in the hay, inside a barn. At night where there are no marches or sails, where he musn't kill anyone to get a duel with Askeladd, where there are no bandmates with their vile behavior. Only you and him and the quiet.
It's where he can be...anything. A sense of belonging and freedom that is so exciting.
He can just look at you.
If you are female, Thorfinn would definitely be more flustered.
Women aren't often seen in the band and the young viking definitely never had been so close to one before. Having your body so close is...nerve-wrecking. But he likes it.
Thorfinn would generally try - keyword try - to somehow snuggle into you. The mere thought makes his heart pound even of he doesn't understand why. He slightly pulls you closer by the hands on your back and awkwardly tilt his head to be rested on your shoulder. Or head. Or chest.
It is daunting but he wants it.
Since there is definitely trust between the two of you, you'd at least snuggle once. Laying the head on the shoulder, head to head, to the chest...
If you initiate it, Thorfinn would freeze up but be glad for you can't see the exciting grin spreading on his face. It would encourage him to press you as close to him as possible.
If Thorfinn initiates it, it is very sublte, bashful until he fully and willingly tries to mold into your body. Inhaling your scent (even if you stink) and eerily grinning at the intimacy. It's new and peaceful and calm. So good, so good and not violent. Not grueling, not resulting into any bruises and broken bones. It's a world where only you and him reside. Only you and him.
He wishes nights like these are forever.
It's become less about keeping each other warm - it is the very instances where Thorfinn can indulge in his desires and feelings, his inclinations.
And each time you grow so close in each other's arms, does his willingness to indulge grow.

Thorfinn:
He is very stubborn with his feelings at first.
The blonde tries to conceal the blushes and smiles you produce on him, after all he is here to defeat Askeladd not to play around with some random warrior.
However, as time passes by, he warms up to you. Soon, you become the only one who actually holds real, lasting conversations with him. Thorfinn practically drags you to training sessions -he’d never spar with you, of course- as well as he always got to eat dinner with you.
You became the greatest of friends.
Just as he hardened his expressions under that bitter frown of his, Thorfinn hid other feelings.
A seething, furious jealousy when you’d talk with the rest of Askeladd’s soldiers or the freezing fear he’d experience when you headed into battle.
At one point, when you had unfortunately been stabbed on your lower abdomen, Thorfinn snapped. You were not the unfortunate one, -in this one occasion at least- no; the man holding the spear was.
Merciless, the blonde pierced his chest hundreds of times before slicing his head off in a single, bloody motion.
The look on the blonde’s dark eyes. The roar chanted with rage.
You were absolutely terrified.
From that moment on, the young warrior would never let you out of his range.
No more fighting for you
No engaging with others for you.
Whenever you complained, he answered “It’s for your sake, [Y/N]”.

Askeladd:
The blonde, blue-eyed man is cunning and smug; he LOVES toying with you the most. In fact he may even consider it a hobby of his.
Not in a torturous way, Askeladd opts to be more friendly. watchout don’t let him deceive you.
He’d rather tease you until your cheeks turn into darker shades of red rather than other more disturbing methods.
In spite of his mocking and sometimes rude attitude, you manage to consider him a friend.
The blonde man is your best company.
He is the only one who approaches you , although you’ve been travelling with your fellow warriors for some months by now. Quite odd, you guessed. Although you felt lonely, he felt delighted.
As eccentric as he would always -without exception- sling a cozy arm over your shoulders, or lay a gentle hold on your waist.
Every time the sun is at its highest point and even when the stars take over, Askeladd never fails to dine with you.
Alone.
Just the two of you.
Your pretty, [e/c] hues focused on him solely.
That smile of glistening white pearls and plump pink lips. The melodious tone of your laugh, the sweetness of your adorable giggles.
The blonde man craved them all to be his own. Like any human’s natural curse, Askeladd was greedy.
Oh, so, so irremediable greedy.
A vile, treacherous desire to keep you . And every warrior under his lead knew what Askeladd “wants” is what Askeladd “gets”.
There was no trouble, no hesitance or resistance from his soldiers when he gave the command.
Once Askeladd’s lips parted to forsaken you from his men.

Bjorn:
He is a horror-striking man.
His tall, broad build and stern face can manage to intimidate anyone who stands in his way. The path to you of course.
The brunette is also extremely loyal to those he comes to respect. However, this blessing -if you could call it as favoring as that- is for a few.
Askeladd held a special place in his heart, to Bjorn; the blonde was an amazing leader as well as a great friend although he did not reckon much about his background.
Then Thorfinn, well, he admired him in some sort of way. The child was no longer a weak brat but a strong and mature self-built man. (In his opinion, it was a pity he was stuck in revenge)
Finally, you came along- a whole different, extraordinary case.
Baldur, Freyja, Frigg and Gersemi must have adored him in order to tie the knots of your destinies.
Or they must have loathed you with the contents of their all powerful, twisted beings for they have mocked you; spat with venom into your fate.
Yet no matter your say, not even the will of the gods; Bjorn will have you by his side.
The bearded man was also rather cold. He really is not the most verbally emotional of these madmen.
Nonetheless, he is communicative through actions. Holding your hand, cuddling your frame, running his calloused hand through the strands of your shiny, [h/l] [h/c] hair.
It is a surprise, indeed, unexpected from someone so rough and brute.
From a man who at the same, bites at your neck ‘till pecks of crimson form. The same palms which caress your smooth hair; pull, push and grasp your skin with faint consideration of the horrid, purple and yellowish spots.
A two-faced passion.
You wonder... how much he relishes in your tears, how much he enjoys your laughs.
Which he loves the most.
But Bjorn cannot choose for he treasures you the most.
Hence, as any vile greedy human whose dirty hands lay on something so, so divine and unique; he hides you from others.
Oh the toll the damn tent takes on you.
Gods aid any unfortunate soul who looks at you, as it might as well as be their doom. More cruel and less merciful will it be if they break as much as a single nail of yours.

Canute:
The prince is very reserved.
Only opening up to a handful of people, between them; Ragnar.
He was the one who raised him, the father he never had.
Still there was you.
A servant’s child, who shared the same locking-fate as their parents.
Due to the small age difference and because of the unnerving times; ever since youth you’ve been entrusted, under Ragnar’s eye, to take care of the Prince.
Whilst you did not bare a sword in his name, raise a shield for him nor ride in his honor, you took a more domestic task. Feeding, bathing, looking over him.
You were one of the scarce in terms of loyal company, and due to your gentle nature, you two became friends.
It was polemic, and it spiked as you two grew.
Even so, the Prince never left your side. No matter how many times his father beat him. Although you warned him for his safety and reputation. Still and all when Ragnar would scold him.
Eventually, people learnt to pay no mind as Canute did not speak to you; at all.
They, however, could not see the way he stared at you.
His irises widening as if they just witnessed a miracle- an angel.
Each night he checked on you, sneaking into the servant house to watch over your sleeping self.
Before he dozed on his own, Canute prayed.
It is a catholic custom, a traditional rule.
Be that as it may, the blonde prince prays for you. He begs to the Lord for your safety and he is grateful. He expresses his thanks to the Father for allowing him to bask in your holy presence. Asking Him for another day in which he may indulge in your loyal company.

Thorkell:
(x female reader)
He is the worst of mad men, truly, a nightmare in the flesh and bones.
Although the spiky blonde is a jolly man with a bubbly personality, he has a far darker side.
A complete battle maniac. Not thirsty for blood, but lusting for honor and glory.
Thorkell seeks battles as a compass’ needles search for North. Anywhere a battle emerges, the viking follows suit. Always drawing his weapons and spilling blood in the name of Valhalla.
He had never been interested in settling down with a cozy family, or manage a village as chief as many of his peers. Thorkell could not find the fun in it.
Until you happened.
In the midst of battle, an elegant white mare charged and stomped over his soldiers as weak flowers over a blood-stained field.
Yet his eyes were set on you, the rider of the proud stallion.
Long, braided [h/c] hair swayed with the winds grazing the battle. Deep, blue markings which accentuate your features. An armor of thick leathers with silver chains that wrapped nicely at your chest, shoulders and forearms. Tight leather pants dressed you and a long, navy skirt opened at the front; adding the touch of fierce femininity.
You were holding a polished iron sword that shined red with its blood. A light-blue shield with darker carvings, resembling the crest -of what he assumed- your village.
A soldier of his charged without hesitation, only to be stopped by Thorkell. His large hand clasped down on the soldier’s shoulder, threatening to crush it; obliterate the bone into toothpicks. He managed to dislocate it.
“She is mine”, the spiky blonde affirmed. Excitement rushed through his veins and he dashed to you as he sliced down anyone who stood in his way.
Finally, he stood face-to-face. Although he had to look downwards due to his colossal height, casting a looming shadow over your tinier frame.
Trepidation crawled from your toes and feet to your ears, gluing your stance to the ground.
Teeth; white and luminescent in an organized row, grinning mischievously down upon you.
No words exchanged, no breaths huffed.
A heated battle sparked.
A fight of strength against agility, build versus speed.
You were petite compared to him- and that seemed so cute to him- so you aimed at the lower vital spots. Trying to immobilize his legs by slashing open eyes, yet he did not give you a second to do so.
An all coming, non-stop series of attacks with his dual axes.
The man was unbelievable. Sure, the title “Thorkell the Tall” leaves to imagination the description of a giant. Nonetheless, never had this monster crossed your mind.
A complete berserker, his stamina seemed infinite. And his resistance? Beyond the gods’ explanation.
No matter how much you cut him, he never fell.
All it took was a hit on your side - struck with his axe dull part - which certainly broke some ribs and sent you flying towards a tree. Your back crashed against the oak’s trunk and oxygen was knocked out of you. (Mind that you used your shield to block his move. )
Heavy footfalls on the snow crunched to your location.
The blonde lowered himself to your level, almost eyeing you with pity.
He slided his hand through the snow and hooked his arm around your waist.
Curious, brown orbs burned through your hazed [e/c] ones.
Even in defeat, your beauty remain unrivaled by a valkyrie.
“I was never one to claim rewards after a fight,” he confessed “y’know- glory and honor, and a good loot for my soldiers- is all I ever fiested of.” Thorkell brought you closer to his face and conditioned your sight onto his.
A darker glimmer in them shook the pain away.
“Now, I think I will claim something more”.

Young Askeladd isn’t that different from his older self.
He is still that manipulative, obsessive, possessive yandere. The major difference would be he’s a lot faster if his s/o tries to escape..
Which won’t happen.
Young! Yandere Askeladd really doesn’t like it when his s/o talks to other people, when he gets older he might quiet a down a little bit but he still doesn’t like it.
Also young Askeladd is more prone to using flattery than his older self.
“Your hair looks great, (Name).”
“Did you get new clothes?”
He also notices everything.
When Askeladd raids he always gets his darling something, whether it’s jewelry, clothes, etc
Young Askeladd will stalk his beloved too. Stalking usually lasts all day too, as well as taking stuff from his beloved.
Eventually Askeladd doesn’t care that his darling knows he’s following.
“Don’t you have something to do, Askeladd.”
“Not really.”
Young askeladd knows he’s handsome (it’s true) and even though he attracts lovers he always wants his darling. Askeladd doesn’t care if his lover don’t like it, but they better not hurt his darling.
Hell, they also can’t talk to his darling.
Young Askeladd is a charming and handsome yandere; but also manipulative, obsessive and possessive yandere.

Yes, until now, nobody ask me about yandere stuff but yes, I do it. So, as disclaimer or warning I have to tell you that these behaviour isn’t good, if you stay next to the person is like this, please, move away for him/her. (Anyway I supposed we know about this, but just in case…).

THORFINN
🐺 Everybody knows Thorfinn is rude and stubborn, so you don’t surprised when he criticise you. It’s Thorfinn, but yes surprised you when he spends more time with you than other people. You feel that you’re progress with him, like some type relationship or friendship.
🐺 Thorfinn protects you from lascivious look, he quarrels about this with other men, he requires respect for you. But this become in habit, nobody can looks you, nobody can touches you. Only, Thorfinn. You feel thankful because he protects you, but bit a bit you start to feel overwhelmed.
🐺 You decides go for a walk at the forest, to clear your mind. You don’t tell him Thorfinn, you need solitude, stay alone with yours thoughts. But, later, you find Thorfinn, waiting you in the middle of the wood. You don’t know how he has found you, but he says: “Where are you been? I was worried”. You try to speak, but Thorfinn doesn’t allow you, he responds: “Don’t move away of me, they’re dangerous”. You accept.
🐺 Thorfinn orders Askeladd that he doesn’t send you to fight. How Askeladd ignores him, Thorfinn asks you it, you refuses, you one more in the gang and he knows you can defends yourself. When you return of a mission, Thorfinn ignores you, he groan and glares you. You return the glare and don’t speak with him in a week.
🐺 A knife flies until almost chafe Askeladd’s cheek. Thorfinn glares him and yells at him not to touch you, but Askeladd is Askeladd and stir your hair. This cause his wrath and Thorfinn ends with a dislocated shoulder. When, Bjorn heals him, Thorfinn glares you and he blames you. Thorfinn taked a slap from Bjorn, who scolds him for this behaviour.
🐺 One night, when you go to dinner with the gang, Thorfinn catches you and immobilises you against a wall, he covers your mouth and for a moment you feel fear being with him.
“Don’t have dinner with them. Stay with me”.
🐺 You accept and this night, and the next you eat the dinner only with Thorfinn. You don’t speak with other men of the gang, except with Askeladd when he orders you something.
🐺 You start to feel more and more overwhelmed, and you decides tell it at Askeladd (it’s possible he ignores you, but you need tell it to someone. And in this moment, it’s the only person who you can trust). But before you can arrive at this cottage, you meet Thorfinn. He looks you, his eyes burning of wrath.
“How could you?”
“I did nothing”
“You were going to ally with the man who murdered my father! You were going to betray me!”
“No! Never could betray you, just, just…”
“Swear to me you will never leave me. You will never abandon me, (Name)”.
“… Yeah, I will never abandon you, Thorfinn…”

Hi!! I just finished reading part 6 of your Thorfinn headcanons. I really liked them and I think you nailed his character perfectly.
Is it okay if I request for headcanons on a Yandere s1 Thorfinn (in a romantic way) with a female reader who's the same age as him? Reader can't really fight well and was mainly recruited by Askeladd for other skills (e.g navigation, cooking, speaking multiple languages). Headcanons on how Yandere Thorfinn falls for reader, how he generally acts, and what if reader becomes uncomfortable with Thorfinn's overprotectiveness and tries to leave the crew / ask Askeladd for help?

Oh lemme get started with this ohh I am so in the mood for yandere thorfinn
So to fall for someone I think you would need to get close to Thorfinn like in my general Thorfinn headcanons. It's not exactly the closeness but rather the way you enter his life. Taking care of him, doing favors, listening to his story of his father, being this amicable shine of normalcy as he gets more and more comfortable with you and finally realizes you could be a friend. You are a friend.
During that time of bonding he might already develop some feelings for you but they are very, very subtle. Guy barely knows what he is feeling anyway. It might be because of your smile or your care and your kindness, your skills or wits. It could be everything combined.
Well, you are also the only woman he knows and has known the past eleven years...so there are definitely situations where he catches himself feeling flustered.
The real turning point for him to become a Yandere is when Askeladd concludes his 'experiment' and almost killed you (though there is another turning point that happens at the very end of the prologue but we'll go in detail in the upcoming parts ;) ).
He is and definitely will be overprotective of you and your well-being after that like in the general headcanons for sure, but there is a slight disdain and ache growing in his heart at the thought that the murderer of his father almost took you away from Thorfinn as well.
Had he not been there...not been fast enough, not been strong enough - not like he was when he was a six-year-old child - then you would have been gone, too.
Gone. Your body left to rotten in some burning forest where the danish soldiers would stomp on your corpse as if you were nothing.
As if you were a nobody. But you aren't. Oh, if only then knew.
How he generally acts afterwards is quite the shift. Thorfinn is as protective as always but to a point where he grows the most hostile he has ever been with the band.
The men and Askeladd barely can recognize him. Holding your body close to him, you sitting on his lap as he presses you tightly against his chest...one arm to support you while the other is holding his dagger so tightly his knuckles turn white.
He's staring into nothingness with a scowl.
Your wound has long healed but the blonde still cradles you as if the incident just happened. It's gotten a bit ridicilous in the men's eyes.
One of them might say something and will surely be met with Thorfinn's dark glare. If one even took one step closer, blood will be spilled before Askeladd can cease the conflict.
You need to really, really convince him that you are okay. You may not be a fighter, but you are still needed and can't just sit in one spot doing nothing. Thorfinn would need thourough explanations and promises before he lets you go. Only to follow close behind you.
Since you are a woman, he is much more careful and protective. He kinda, unfortunately, sees you as weak and it doesn't help that you aren't a fighter as well so any kind of damage, even a chip of your nail, is immediately met with a flinging dagger at the cause of your injury.
Thorfinn truly changes. He becomes overprotective, paranoid, clingy, longing and quiet after all of this. He is silent as he protects you and will only bark out insults, as well as his true feelings for you, when he is irritated or being mocked. You can imagine that Askeladd out of all people will jab the blonde and since it is, y'know, his father's killer and the one who attempted to murder you too, Thorfinn will not hold back or hesitate to scream his head off to him.
"Don't you dare open your mouth! You bastard tried to take her away from me too!"
'Tried to take her away from me.' - that's something he says a lot, Askeladd noted and so did you. It's startling to see your friend like this.
The paranoia stems from his fear of you being killed while he cannot do anything to protect you. As a child he had to watch his father die and back then he was only a small, defenseless kid. Now, he is a killer but he barely thinks of himself in such a way. In his mind, he is strong and on the way to become a true warrior. He is strong and quiet and skilled and deadly and those are all the things he needs to be to keep you safe.
Therefore, Thorfinn follows you everywhere like a loyal guard dog. To the woods, to the beach, on the road, sitting riiiight next to you on the ship, even following after you when you need to do your business in the bushes.
Sleeping, eating, marching, working, bathing - whatever you do, Thorfinn will be there.
When you tell him that this 'shadowing' makes you uncomfortable and that nothing dangerous is going to happen, Thorfinn will ALWAYS interject. He is doing this to look out for you. You understand when you are camping outside and sleeping or when you are even bathing, but he doesn't need to follow you all the time.
Again, he shakes his head with a scoff. He does need to. He must to, in order to keep you safe.
Besides, it's not like you can fight. You always need someone to protect you in general and that one is always Thorfinn (not like he'll let anyone else be near you) so you cannot really complain. Can you fight off an ambush? Yeah, that's what he thought.
The young man doesn't ruly mean to be harsh, he is just always on edge when you are somewhere out of your literal safe space. He doesn't trust anyone, not even friendly-looking villagers. Young or old, Thorfinn would step in front of you when someone approaches you. He is not the best talker but he will be just to not have this scum or whoever dare to make idle conversation with you. He won't let you answer to any strangers or bandmates, unless necessary.
Yet, as cold and harsh as he is, he is also oddly clingy. It may be the way he always touches you to keep you with him but there forms a weird longing to always be close to you. The hand that clutched your arm now slowly slides down to your hand and his thumb is brushing your skin. When sitting on the ship and he has his arm around you to keep you steady on these wild waves, his head unwittingly leans down to your shoulder, his locks tickling your neck. And when you cuddle to sleep in the winter, he won't let go. He is so still and so quiet, only a few flustered grunts escaping his lips but he does it anyway. He still caresses your hand and he still buries his head in your neck and he still cradles you in his arms. It's strange and out of nowhere.
It is also strange to see him long in such a quiet way. The touches, the worried remarks - they keep on returning again and again, even when they are not asked for. When you ask him to cut your hair, you do not ask him to play with it for what feels like eternity. When you return from a job, you do not ask to be yelled at by Thorfinn on where you were and that you should stay by his side, only to hear a mumbled apology and have him ask you, again and again, if you are fine and in need of anything.
Asking the man who tried to kill you just to see if his little tool would react for help, is a bold move. Crazy and foolish even.
Fine, let's say it's all forgotten and forgiven (no, it's not).
Askeladd is sure to realize the unhealthy behavior of the blonde and unlike the rest of the band, is aware what it means for you and him.
A cruel part of him might keep him that way and see how far he can go again when it comes to his feelings for you.
But...another part of him is understanding. Askeladd is a cunning hypocrite and I believe he has a soft spot for women in general due to his relationship with his mother and how she was treated. He is even softer for you if you remind him of her.
So...both men have a weird relationship so you can bet that he cannot just go and 'have a chat' with Thorfinn. Instead, Askeladd would slowly begin to give orders or put you in places where you and Thorfinn won't interact as much.
(Or he could take this to his advantage and experiment more how much he can actually use Thorfinn as a tool.)
Thorfinn will notice however and demand an explanation on what the hell this is supposed to be. He would never say it but to him it is clear that he and you are to be together. Nothing and nobody can just seperate you two.
Askeladd will let out half-assed excuses but if he feels quite vexed by the lad's constant sour attitude OR if he wants to simply torture you and let out the cat out of the bag, the leader will let Thorfinn know that YOU were the one who asked him to do this.
Thorfinn does not believe him and will not for weeks. A snake like himself cannot be trusted and Thorfinn holds you to such a high regard that he'd never dream of you 'betraying' him.
'Betrayal'. That's what he sees it as so once he starts to realize that his words were the truth, Thorfinn will feel immensily hurt by you. Can't you see that he only wants to keep you safe, that he IS keeping you safe? You mean more than any of these despicable bastards could, more than some crown prince of Denmark could. He isn't stupid, he isn't crazy, he's doing it all for you! So why are you fighting back when he is your protector?!
And you've went behind his back to his father's murderer! How could you?!
You try to explain that he knows no boundaries to the point where he endangers everyone but you - even himself!
But no, Thorfinn doesn't listen. In his mind, he is the right one or rather his actions are correct. All that he has done so far has kept you alive so it cannot be wrong.
And if you try to leave the band? Forget telling Askeladd. The man is selfish enough to keep your around despite your feelings since you are still useful to him.
So there you are, leaving in the dead of the night. The attempt is short-lived for Thorfinn notices quite quickly that you aren't sleeping by his side anymore and will find you just as fast.
He stands there with wide eyes and daggers in hand. What are you doing? Where are you going?
You try to explain as much as you want but it kind of doesn't enter his head. Thorfinn is more shocked at the fact that you are leaving and instead seems to stand idly and menacingly.
He hears your words...and it would be selfish to not let you leave. There's a small ringing in the back of his mind that tells him the truth - that it is selfish to not let you go.
This life is not a safe one. Amongst abhorrent vikigns who kill and raid. And now you were dragged into his life where he keeps on risking it for something as petty as revenge.
It would be selfish. Selfish...
"No..." is all he managed to let out before he pounces on you and holds you so tight on his arms you fear your bones will shatter.
He would never hurt you. But he will never let you go.
For in this messed up life of his full of blood and death, you are the only normalcy that he has.
Besides the vengeance, he has nothing in his life but you.
The blonde tries to justify it that he can keep you safe the most. There is no one else out there who would protect a woman like you like he does. There is no one out there...that loves you like he does.
He tries to justify it while you struggle under him. He tries to not think of any 'selfishness' as he holds you close and never lets you go.
Other things about being female with a Yandere! Thorfinn where I didn't know where to put them in:
I really hate to say it but you being a woman, Thorfinn would see you as weak.
It's less about 'weakness' and more about his belief that nobody is as 'strong' as him. Having survived and killed for so long he is quite confident in his skills and therefore believes himself to be a bit special...or, if anything, closer to a 'true warrior' than anyone else in the band.
So his overprotectivess is off the charts. He won't ever tell you you're weak but might yell it out when you irritate him too much. You aren't as strong as him, not as strong as you think you are! Let him handle this.
The overprotectiveness also stems from his distrust and disgust around the other men when it comes to you. A woman like you isn't seen as a person in the eyes of vikings - of these bastards - so he keeps you close only to him (just the way he likes it).
Well, and if you have more feminine features he, well, will notice them. Of course, he will notice them when he has been surrounded by nothing but men and their features. So yours are different and new...and nice.
But not only that...he notices how different you are. When feeling anything positive, the band smirks and leers...but you smile and grin so naturally, so softly. When they laugh, they guffaw at the suffering over others and you chortle and giggle at a stupid joke. It's different and so much more amicable. You're strange and normal.
However, Thorfinn scoffs and looks away when he catches himself staring at you since he feels he is not being better than any of the other mates. He can't just...stare at your hair and your eyes and your form...he would feel like them even if he silently admits to himself that he likes looking at you.
JEALOUSY JEALOUSY JEALOUSY but only to people he doesn't think are scum :D i.e. people like Canute (anyone but Askeladd). Thorfinn isn't insecure in the slightest - he just doesn't like the fact that someone is looking at you the way he is looking at you. The same softness, the same weakness.

Thinking about a poly Thorfinn/Canute/Reader and they both happen to be yanderes. They meet you while Thorfinn and you were guarding the young prince. Thorfinn has known you for several years and has grown close to you over that time, so naturally he is possessive and overprotective of you. You are in a band of ruthless mercenaries, not to mention Askeladd; why wouldn't he act the least bit protective over you?
Then you add Canute to the mix, and suddenly Thorfinn is threatening to knife anyone who comes close enough to either of you two. For what it's worth, his feelings stem from his fear of losing the only healthy person who has been consistent in his life. His father was killed, Askeladd is toxic, and the rest of the band just has bloodlust. Okay, maybe Bjorn is a small exception because he does act like a mother towards Thorfinn sometimes but still ultimately sides with Askeladd. Still, you are the only one who is allowed to patch up his wounds and sleep next to him at night.
So then we have Canute, who is barely able to talk with you because Thorfinn is staring daggers (both figuratively and literally) at him. So as their travels progress and Canite gets bolder, he slowly grows closer to you, and Thorfinn hates that. He would kill the pretty little blonde if it weren't for Askeladd promising him a duel if he kept the prince safe.
One night, it all comes to a climax when you are sleeping next to Thorfinn. They both end up in an argument over their behavior, and Thorfinn accidentally outs himself.
"Why do you have to be such a stupid, pretty little blonde?"
"You think I'm pretty Thorfinn?"
"That's not what I meant, Princess."
Thorfinn gets all pouty and embarrassed.
Canute feels like he has the upper hand just this once, so he proposes sharing you between the two young men. Thorfinn is almost entirely opposed to this idea, but for some odd reason, he nods and agrees with Canute. Only if Thorfinn is allowed to stay near you at all times.
Thorfinn and Canute are two completely different yanderes whose tendencies stem from the same thing: fear. Thorfinn has a fear of losing you and wants your love and attention (even if he won't admit it). Canute has a fear of not being loved, as he isn't loved by his father, and he wants to be loved by the person who has shown him some love. Thorfinn is aggressive and very outward about how protective he is of you, while Canute opts for a more quiet and cunning approach. Oh, they were bothering you? Either Thorfinn is straight up murdering them, or Canute will order someone to take care of them for him. Thorfinn needs your attention and praise constantly (in his distant and grumpy way), while Canute is content just being looked at by you. Thorfinn is possessive, while Canute is obsessive. Canute will practically worship the land you walk on, while Thorfinn will see you as his only equal.
They are opposites, yet they mesh well together.
They don't realize that they also have feelings for each other until after the King and Askeladd's deaths. Thorfinn was so very torn as he saw you standing near Canute with a shocked and pained expression on your face. He felt his heart and trust break into so many pieces as he saw Canute open and vulnerable for a killing strike. Yet he only slashed the edge of Canute's cheek as he realized that he couldn't kill the pretty little blonde. He couldn't hurt or be mad at you either. He just felt confused.
Canute knows that he has to act like a leader, so he orders everyone out except for you and Thorfinn.
Canute confesses that he has developed romantic feelings for both you and Thorfinn during your travels together. He thought you both looked so attractive while protecting him from people trying to kill him. He states that he is unable to live a life if Thorfinn hates him, and he offers Thorfinn the sword that killed Askeladd to slit his throat if he would like. Thorfinn takes the sword and shakes as tears escape his eyes. He can't. He can't kill the stupid blonde. He loves him. He loves you. He loves how you constantly care for him and stay near him even when he pushes you away. He loves Canute because he just loves him. He doesn't know when he started, and he is scared that he won't be able to stop.
He allows the sword to clatter onto the ground as he pulls both of you into a tight and warm hug.
Cue Canutes religious guilt and his breakdown of what his beliefs are all while romantically loving two people, one of whom is a man.
You stare at them with a perplexed expression as they both clumsily confess their love for you as well (leaving out that they will and have already murdered for you).
The only question that remains is: What will happen next? Will all three of you live with Canute? Will Thorfinn start a journey of self-discovery and end up traveling to Vinland? Will you ever figure out that their love isn't so innocent and that you won't ever escape from them?

that is perfect...yandere, but also regular, canon behaviour for Thorfinn
Him charging down to save YOU and duel for you life when Thorkell took you hostage or smth
going FERAL over what they could possibly do to you, ESPECIALLY if you are female and just;;;; straight up going for the kill
how dare any of them. He IS going to kill them. Kill every last one of them!
Its a typical knight in shining armor and damsel in distress situation...but so much more twisted
These are VIKINGS. Barbaric men that know no love but just fame and pleasure. Thorfinn, just a kid in their eyes, going beserk over some other kid. Challening THE Thorkell the Tall over...you.
And he wins. He slaughters down ANYONE who gets in his way, yells at anyone touching you WHILE HE DUELS and EVEN AFTER THE DUEL HE DOES NOT STOP BUT STABS AND SLAYS AND SLAYS. He is killing his way over to you and as the men watch in horror as the bloodied boy ceases his spree and instead...gently wraps you in his arms, the rage in his face gone and nothing but relief left.
Still, his eyes are empty. And his body drenched in blood.
He seems so caring and gentle nevertheless as he holds your shaking form.
Literally not gonna happen since Askeladd has to be saved but JUST IMAGINE

Two instances where Thorfinn would go Yandere in HTSAWS
When you're about to be killed by Askeladd
Will get active and hostile, very protective of you
The Yandere tendencies will start off as paranoia since Askeladd kind of "proved" that Thorfinn is surrounded by enemies when the own leader would attempt to take your life.
Even to "weak" people like Canute would he be wary.
Agitated mostly throughout the day and will only calm down once he is SURE you two are alone and safe.
He is affectionate in a way to keep you safe. Gently tends your wounds and brushes your hair out of your face. Keeps you close with an arm around you , embracing you through the night to keep you warm. Also gets the habit to have you sit not on his lap but on the ground beneath it as he wraps his arms and legs around you, offering to be your safe cave - huddled in his embrace as he glares as dark as thunder to the outside world, one arm around you and the other hand holding his dagger.
He's like a monster to anyone but you. Tends to be more violent ever since then.
When he realizes he was a dog for Askeladd the entire time and you stuck by him
Gets passive and emotional. Barely vocal about anything but rather uses body language.
Despite you staying with him, Thorfinn still feels lost. The beating, the exhaustion as well as trying to block out the memories of him taking lifes leads to him getting attached to you. You are his anker as he drifts along the river.
Follows you around like a zombie but needs to constantly touch you in a way like a leech. Its Kind of pathetic.
However, will also zombie-like beat up anyone who endangers or bothers you. Will not kill. Doesn't have the energy for that.
Regarding affection this Thorfinn is reversed in a way. Instead of being doting and overly protective, this Thorfinn would seek affection from you. After all that has happened, he is tired and deflated, feeling aimless without you. Whether he tugs at your sleeve or lets himself fall onto you so you'd embrace him, he'd do anything to get any kind of love from you. After everything you are the only thing he can count on anymore.
Thorfinn feels too detached from his surroundings to truly care about anything but you. Displays of affection that would have left him flustered or he'd even avoid to not be the laughing stock of others, he now fully embraces. He's fine with bystanders laughing as he lays in your arms like a child. He doesn't even notice them.
It's like the world dimmed and became hazy - the only clear thing he can see is you.
This Kind of behavior and tendency would carry on to S2 Thorfinn and would be amplified there.

Ok, I have to admit writing Yandere Thorfinn is kinda tricky for me. There's something about him that just isn't quite...clear? Especially with all the phases he goes through. Idk it's hard to write and describe.
Thanks for liking all that I have of him though haha.
Here are two Yandere Alphabet prompts of S1! Thorfinn: cuz I can't think of anything else
Exposed — how vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
Tough one but with a lot of time and a loooooot of patience and again, a looooot of time, he might show you a vulnerable side.
Thorfinn is grumpy and keeps to himself so the very first things he'd tell you are surface level in a way. His quest for revenge, his hatred for Askeladd. Afterwards, you may be able to dig deeper. His father and what he remembers of Iceland. He had a family...as far as he remembers. But they don't matter - he has you now.
Vulnerability when it comes for his love to you is aquired differently. He won't just talk and tell you how he feels on a nice, quiet evening. He will be clinging to you as his face is caked with blood - fresh from a fight - screaming at you that you cannot go, that he cannot lose you and you are more important than anything he has ever had in his life! He lost his father...he won't lose you. No matter the cost and no matter the amount of corpses.
Fight — how would they feel if their darling fought back?
Uh oh.
You better not. Thorfinn won't get too violent since he still views himself as your protector but that is also the reason he belittles you while doing so. Disarming you as he diconstructs your reason for a fight, for an escape. He is protecting you, the reason why you stay unharmed through everything. You don't understand what he is doing!
Actually fighting him with the intent to hurt him, weapon in hand? That will actually pain and hurt him, it feels like betrayal. You cannot be so stupid as to fight him, can you? Him, the one who cares for you to such an extent! Thorfinn is quick to get angry though underneath the hurt he feels and how upset he is. It's not something you wanna deal with.

Hello. May I ask for part 2 of Yandere Thorfinn where he succeed in becoming a King after killing Askeladd man that on the same time encounter Reader who ran away years ago? How will he react and can it be slight nsfw?
Requests closed but I'll give a short take!
I don't think Thorfinn would ever become king? If anything, he'd be a king murderer. But I do think actually successfully killing Askeladd would change him as a person. Still feeling empty after taking his revenge but not as much as S2 Thorfinn does. Would hold a high regard towards honor and fully believing he did the right thing for and by his father.
Finding you again, I think he'd be much more aggressive and unwillig to let go and much more open to use violence to keep you. He would wander a bit aimlessly now with no path in his life and drag you with him even if it might end up in both of your demises. At least you are together...and you'd never betray him again, right?
