Hey there fellow witches and warlocks, it's spooky season and I am loving it! I recently discovered the void state through yoga nidra and your reverse psychology method charm, and I was ready to manifest my dream life. October is my birth month and my favorite season, so I was excited to see what the universe had in store for me and whoa did it come through.
It's unfortunate to see that SA victims like me and others are still getting death and rape threats. I was inspired by a blog who shared her experience with yoga nidra, but then deactivated due to trolls sending her horrible messages. It's sad to see people hating on others' success, but we won't let them bring us down.

Sam… Colby… Joe Rogan… Cancelled??
So, I just peeped that some ppl want to cancel SnC cause they made a video with Joe Rogan and made an appearance on his podcast as well as their usual joke about investigating spirits, especially children.
When it comes to the ‘Fat men’ and ‘little boys’ room fiasco, dark humor is not everyone’s forte just as much as everyone has their limits. So, I’m not too pressed about it - to each their own, but collaborating with Joe Rogan?!
Joe Rogan is where things become ROUGH. The man is not afraid to be and say racist and homo/transphobic statements, jokes, and slurs. I get it, his daughter’s a fan, so a quick interview with him about the location would’ve done well but they also took place on his podcast.
Does this make the three friends? No. However, appearing single-handedly in areas that are to uplift a disgusting person as if just a simple research nowadays is impossible… Isn’t that far off.
I get it, when it comes to Tara, Colby, Jake, Johnnie, and Sam their audience is predominantly white (although they’re also alternative, so this is very ironic) but that doesn’t erase the fact that there’s still a percentage of fans who are minorities, who are LGBTQ+, who sees this and are disturbed.
It drives me even more crazy when a yt fan commented on a TikTok video discussing this, said that ppl were just angry because Rogan has different opinions… Opinions?

an explanation of stranger things tumblr <3
okay so the thing with the stranger things fandom is that it’s VERY divided by ships- so i’m like. in one very specific corner of it yk? i’m in the crowd of literally ~74k~ people on tumblr who are focused on byler, which is primarily about analysis.
so we’ve got the film and english majors analyzing the SHIT out of cinematography, writing, micro expressions, etc etc in order to compile evidence towards byler endgame in season five. it’s lowkey really really impressive some of the stuff that people have picked up on, i can show you if you’re curious. but we just kinda stick to our own corner? there’s a conscious effort not to cross tag, and for the most part people are chill about letting other people do their thing.
then you’ve got the m*levens, who a lot of are fine and really nice, actually, but there’s a fairly decent chunk who devote way too much of their time into invading byler inboxes to spew made up shit about m*leven and rant about byler, most of which is wildly homophobic or borderline pedophilic at worst. we don’t talk about them. for a while m*levens had an issue with crosstagging, and invading the byler tag with shit, but that’s gotten a lot better, so theyre fairly chill now. so despite the shipping war we both just tend to stay in our own spaces to quietly fire shots at the other ship that are properly tagged so the other people never see it- peaceful m*leven shippers ily and you are never included in my ranting about the other members of your tag <3
then you’ve got the st*ddies. the FUCKING st*ddies. a lot of them are really cool! but a LOT a lot of them crosstag SO MUCH. they tag their fics and posts with other ships and characters that aren’t at all mentioned in order to gain more traction, meaning that a good chunk of the byler fanfiction on ao3 is really just st*ddie fanfiction that’s horribly tagged. fuck the shitty taggers, y’all SUCK.
lumax, ronance, jopper and elmax shippers are super chill, just kinda peacefully doing their thing while everyone else goes absolutely apeshit over everything.
j*ncy and st*ncy shippers are constantly at each other’s throats, that’s,, a lot to unpack.
and one other section of the overall stranger things fandom. the fuckin weirdoes.
this section includes the billy stans who are willing to forgive him for being a racist abusive fuckwad simply because he’s pretty, the stobin shippers who enjoy erasing the fact that robin is literally gay, and the m*levens who spend their time popping into byler inboxes practically drooling over the thought of a m*leven sex scene, which is the most fucked up part of relatively surface stranger things tumblr. we don’t talk about any of these people.
i’m not even going to bother talking about the h*rringroves.
and a bit more about byler tumblr because i have a lot to say on the matter- it’s kinda subdivided into smaller sections of people each doing different things, even more so than most other divisions on the overall fandom. there’s of course some overlap, and people will reblog stuff from all over the board, but for the most part people stick to creating one or two specific things. the divisions are the artists, fanfic authors, theorizers, shitposters, and debaters.
the artists and fanfic authors are self explanatory.
the theorizers are absolutely INSANE at what they do, i’m constantly amazed by how much smarter these people are than me.
the shitposters just kinda hang around making jokes and screaming about whatever new crumbs we got that day.
the debaters are.. interesting. they’re the ones that get the most hate in their inboxes, and rather than ignore it, or post it and just make fun of the asker, they end up starting huge arguments on their blog with anonymous askers. they’re pretty cool tbh? they do a really good job of summarizing all our evidence into clear concise points, it’s just. a little overwhelming to see constant fighting over in one corner.
but yeah! stranger things tumblr as summarized by a byler who enjoys poking around other tags :)

Yeah see the thing is I was never gatekeeping them. They weren’t mine to share? And had they come in my submission I would have posted them with the rest - but I was waiting for the people who got them to share them first because I didn’t think it was my place.
I was upfront telling people there was an image of them - it would have been so easy not to, we could have told no one and no one would have know. Idk what I'm doing here but I don't think I like the about format anymore and I got too used to twitter so ig this is like a pinned post??

I know y’all are probably tired of me talking about PJO lol but I have so much to say especially since I’m rereading the series and the news with the show. Why exactly would involving Black ppl and other GMMs (global majority members) outside of background characters be bad? Cuz I thought I saw it all but apparently I haven’t. Why are you weirdos tryna say Annabeth can’t be Black cuz she has Nordic ancestors??? Nordic ≠ white. There were Nordic ppl of various colors and backgrounds. Annabeth is also literally the daughter of Athena. Her mom thought her into existence. Literally. She can make her children any race she chooses. Then y’all wanna say “Well if she can be Black then Hazel, Frank, Leo, etc can be white.” I’m here to tell you now: No. They. Cannot. Hazel was born in the south in the 40s…She experiences racism because she’s Black. Her mom is looked down upon cuz she knows voodoo. One of her ancestors was a slave, which really wasn’t necessary but we move, like…Frank’s powers are apart of his ancestry. Apparently he talks about his ancestry a lot in the books too. Leo is a nonwhite Spanish speaking demigod from Mexico who is clearly Hispanic/Latino. Piper is apparently based off Cherokee tales as well. Y’all keep saying this for nonwhite characters and it literally shows that y’all are racist and don’t know how to use your brains. It also shows that y’all do not care about these characters who you claim to be enough representation for us even though we constantly tell you they’re not. They’re not even apart of PJO either. They’re from HOO. Let’s not also forget to mention that that’s 4 characters who aren’t white. That is not what diversity is. While it’s a good start, it’s so much more and could’ve been done way better. Stop being racist and stupid.
