M/Super Horror Mario can't take FS Peach's Soul because it's too much of a glitchy mess. Peach is smug about it and will bring it up any chance she gets.

FireStar Peach is aware of all of Nintendo's future games after World and even loves the movie! She listens to Jack sing "Peaches" on Spotify religiously (who wouldn't?!).

Unlike her fellow Glitchy Pokepasta, Glitchy Red, She's fine with any replacements for Princess Peach in the games.

She encountered Pico after the events of All-Stars, just wandering around looking for a way out (Mod director Marco Antonio confirmed this in an interview) and was just like: "...I like you. I'm keeping you". She took him back to her game and they're plotting to save everyone from M's grasp.

Would absolutely vibe along with characters like Somari and Grand Dad.

Hates Coronation Day Peach. That Entity ruined that version of Peach so much that it's no longer a "Peach" for FireStar.

Finds I Hate You Luigi to be a rude ass crybaby with skill issue. although she did have a chat with his Universe's Mario...

Favorite People in M's roster? Bad Day Mario. She loves that little shit... makes her cackle out of breath. Oh, and Stanley (Promotion Mario) too... They're Self-aware besties. Least favourite on the other hand? Mr. Virtual. She hates that he was a serial killer and is overall an awful being.

i loved the text to mikaela, because obviously it proves that casper is not, in fact, a "pro" with babies, but it also draws the parallel between casper and danny, like you said! casper says he's just babysitting xena to impress coco, which is somewhat true, but we also know he's been so homesick lately. he's especially missing sadie (she's his phone lock screen, there are pictures of her all over his room, her drawings and stickers are on his dorm door, and he brings her up unprompted, along with a mention of when asa was a toddler), so this is also a way for him to feel closer to home. he got so excited when he heard baby noises because he literally hasn't interacted with a baby in months 🤧 anyway, the point is he's homesick! and the same can be said for when danny met casper & mikaela. he was also living across the country from everything & everyone he knew, and he and caroline were not doing so hot, so he couldn't always rely on her for comfort either. in both cases, being able to take care of a baby was a way for them to feel useful and grounded. it just helps that it also would impress a pretty girl :P

WAVERLY: “Even though you were in the thrall of a powerful, super-evil demon and her unearthly baked goods, you said…”

WAVERLY: “Right. But the ring coming back to you was…”

NICOLE: “Yeah, kind of creepy boomerang vibe.”

WAVERLY: “Mm. But it kept you safe from her. I’m sorry. Sometimes things are so completely nuts. And you, you… Well, you seem okay. And sane. Safe. So I forget to give you the completely-nuts update.”

NICOLE: “Yeah. How about you just… update me later, okay?”

You’re all nuts. So you all need to keep each other in the know-how of the nuttiest updates. Stop hiding things from each other. It’s never a good thing. Even when it’s out of love or the need to protect each other.

Thank u Silent Reading for a slow burn that takes like a third a novel to flirt, half a novel to date, three fourths to hook up, four fifths to actually be (relatively) honest and confess some bigger heavy stuff (and for fei du to propose with a quickly made ring) and im on the last fifth now but I expect more reveals to come. Thanks for a slow burn that was half during their actual romance so the buildup of trust and development didn't stall once "together." Thanks for making them "love rivals" at the start so they're not flirting exactly, but they're competitively flirting and will go onto continue doing fighting/competitive flirting for the rest of their lives so its a fun transition from their mutual crush to each other (and also gives a fun opponent/enemies vibe that never totally goes away and even 4/5 in when fei du admits most things, there's the undercurrent feeling they'll never truly be able to see eye to eye in the same world as each other and just have to adjust to learning what the others perception is when they can)

The writers on Xena made a really interesting choice in terms of how they wrote almost all of the episodic male love interests for Xena and Gabrielle. The vast majority of them never end up sharing a kiss, and the connection between them is rarely explicitly labeled as a romantic one. Instead it’s almost subtextual at times, having the men ask if they plan on settling down, parting with a kiss on the cheek. Even when discussing men that they explicitly had romantic interactions with (Borias, Caesar, Marcus) the writers have them referred to as friends or former friends. It really hammers home the distinction of the crew Queercoding Xena and Gabrielle rather than Queerbaiting the audience, because they went out of their way to make as many of the romantic interactions the women had with men subtextual and analogous to the way Xena and Gabrielle were able to interact on screen, almost as if to say, “see this, you see this as romantic, it’s romance between them too”

it's funny when people say "even in female-centric fandoms there's no F/F and people would rather pair up dudes!" both because I've been in several of those and that's never been the case - there's always a lot of it in any show where there are multiple relationships b/w women who matter, let alone a mostly-female cast - but i feel like the people who complain about this, you look at their fandoms and it's bunch a shows where there is technically more than one woman, and they interact somewhat, but the cast is still majority dudes. and their ships are all these rarepairs of women who barely interact. which is a totally legit way to do fandom, don't get me wrong, but it does make me wonder if some of these people are aware of what a female centric show really *is*. like you just want to lead them gently to the sailor moon or yellowjackets or madoka or killing eve or xena tags and be like, look, this is what we're talking about. and look how much of it is femslash, and how little of it is slash (even in sailor moon, with its canonical M/M couple, it's still femslash and het predominantly IME). like, i'm glad you're trying to make it happen for shows where the women are interesting but underexplored, or where they have brief glances of fascinating dynamics with women that we don't learn much of but could wonder what could have been. but when you have like 7 men in a main cast and only 2 women, you cannot be shocked when most of the fic is slash and/or het. like, avatar the last airbender is not a "female centric" show people just because it has women in it or doctor who (except mayyyyybe the seasons with a female doctor). that's not what we're talking about.

i mean, even in ensemble shows where there are women whose relationships with other women matter, even if it's not the focus and there are more men overall in the cast or an equal amount, you will get a substantial femslash fandom. it might not be the main event, but it will be there. glee was a badly-written mess of a show, but it had plot-relevant relationships between female characters. and so people were shipping rachel/quinn and santana/brittany even long before the latter couple was anywhere close to becoming canon. it was one of the biggest (and most drama-filled) femslash fandoms of the early 10s, even if the slash and het corners of glee fandom were bigger. but there was enough femslash that you absolutely could corral yourself in that corner of the fandom and ignore the rest of it. if you build it, they really will come (in more ways than one, heh)

People are terrible about going "But I love my blorbo! Surely, everyone else should!" in contexts where basic logic will tell you that ship or character is probably not going to launch a juggernaut fandom.

I wouldn’t call the brief romantic interactions Gabrielle has with men “relationships”. With Xena you can get away with that. But not Gabrielle.

Let me put it this way… Xena is a show where they’ll show you a male and a female kissing but not allow them to have a long lasting relationship of any kind and then give you a long lasting relationship between a female and a female but won’t show you the kissing.

You have to pick and choose your wins and your losses. What matters to you more? To see an amazingly substantial, in-depth and forever-evolving dynamic or physical intimacy?

Xena literally invented straightbaiting. The opposite of queerbaiting. Don’t worry. The creators were on the right side of history. Xena and Gabrielle are the central relationship in the show no matter which way you want to interpret it. They’re the beating heart.

There’s no relationship made more of a focus than Xena and Gabrielle’s - be it romantic or platonic.

The Man-Inserts mean nothing. Trust me. If anything, they just show you how much more right Xena and Gabrielle are for each other because the show is always fucking awkward whenever a random male love interest is introduced. It doesn’t feel right.

Simply put it down to intentional straightbaiting cause the only reason they’re there is to appease the straight audience. But this show belongs to the gays/queers. The creators made sure of it.
