Disclaimer: I am basing this off of my own experience and honestly if you disagree with me. I would love to hear your opinion. Message me idk it’s up to you
My intense love for scorpio and capricorn placements together
Okay so I have had to come to terms wtih my emotions that get provoked by people with both scorpio and capricorn placements. I believe I can trace this back to my childhood since my mother has a Scorpio mercury and a Capricorn Venus. I would naturally try my best to stay on my mother’s good side so I think it’s funny how now every person I have met that has these placements can affect me in different ways, but together there is something so fucking intense that happens to me (emotionally and physically).
Scorpio placements are an interesting comfort for me. The “energy” that scorpio placements give off tend to make me feel very comfortable. I feel so energized when I meet scorpio placements. It’s a moment because my fourth house is in scorpio so it makes sense why I feel such a comfort right? For instance, my grandma has a scorpio mars and me and her will argue about the most random shit. The thing is that I don’t think the rest of my family understands it entirely. Afterwards my grandma and me will be joking with each other and I feel very close with my grandma. I think people see us disagreeing with each other and think we are mad at each other or something like that. When really it’s just a leo mercury and aries mercury communicating, so there is a lot of passion behind our words. I bring this up as an example because I have always admired my grandma’s passion and comforted by her ability to take charge and speak up when it is needed.
I do feel like her planets and how they are placed in my houses does help me and her bond very well. Her sun is either in my second or third house, and her moon is in my ninth house. If anyone knows more about the sun house synastry I would love to know more about it. But emotionally I have felt like I do expand due to her influence on me. I say that cause the ninth house is usually ruled by sag and sag rules jupiter. Jupiter is all about expansion and learning I think so yeah. Anyways her mercury is in my first house, her venus is in my third house, and her mars is in my fourth house.
Now let me compare that to my reaction to Capricorn placements
Capricorn is in my sixth house so I have had many experiences bonding with capricorn placements. Now the bond isn’t always the most positive or healthy but it is a bond nonetheless. I also want to preface this by saying that my south node is in my sixth house and in capricorn so even though I am pulling my info from my own experiences. I am still not sure how much will resonate since I think the nodes do contribute to my reactions to capricorn placements and such.
Moving on capricorn placements as a whole affect me. For instance, my boyfriend has a mars in capricorn. His way of doing things is definetly a bit different than me with my mars in sag. When he wants to do something he is very consistent and focused. He wants to become better at that thing and usually he doesn’t change or move onto working on something else for a while. Now comparing that to me who is fasincated in learning so much that sometimes I am working on one thing while learning a completly different thing. I tend to move onto things back and forth multiple times but that doesn’t always mean I am completly dropping that thing I was doing earlier. Idk if that makes any sense but yeah.
I do admire his will to be consistent. The only issue that comes up is when we are doing something together that don't really I want to do. Right now I am learning how to drive and he is helping me out with it. There are a couple of times where I will get so stressed out by driving that I will want to stop it. Now he won’t force me or anything like that to continue if I am not comfortable it. Instead he will talk to me through it all very logically and not exactly with the level of expression of passion I am used to. Like he has said to me that the reason he learned how to drive was because “he didn’t want to rely on anyone”. Now that is a perfectivily great reason but that was it. Idk it just felt very earth mars behavior imo.
Let me do another example. Now this one is about someone who didn’t have a scorpio placement but had a capricorn sun. We would work fine in a group but even though they had a taurus moon (I love taurus moons bruh) we didn’t act like buddy buddy. I became a bit more toned down and it was interesting because I met them through a theatre class. Actually I don’t think we really interacted much unless it was class related, but I do believe meeting and interacting with them affected me and my work ethic. I became more focused and overall like a leader rather than a “follower”. I am more or less just a person who helps where it is needed but sometimes I just do my own thing because I hate the idea of following orders from someone I don’t respect on a professional level. Anyways I’ll try to make another post to elaborate on this topic. Time to check for typos or any errors oof bruh

What makes ROTTMNT Movie hit so hard
Bear with me: I'm working with a friend on a presentation about the Heroines Journey vs the Heroes Journey for writers.
As long time fans of ROTTMNT know, it hit different than the other TMNT series. All TMNT series are found family, but the interaction of the brothers and splinter in Rise was different (I won't go into that because we all have our opinions).
The Heroes Journey is lonely, a solitary hero seeking something for himself (i.e. revenge or something akin). Solo superhero movies, in particular, at the beginning of the MCU are very oriented on the Heroes Journey (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, before they band together in the Heroine's journey, I mean Avengers).
But many times a found family story falls within the Heroine's Journey. The Heroine's journey is not just a female telling of the Heroes Journey, but something much more. (I won't dive into all the details but you'll get a few). One explanation, Murdock's, stated that the Heroine Journey is about 'healing of the wounding of the feminine that exists deep within her and her culture'. Tell me that isn't Leo in this movie. Many of the stories of TMNT deal with healing. Another quote is "The feminine journey is about going down deep into soul, healing and reclaiming..." In this story in particular, we see that until Leo heals, and therefore through his healing the other brothers as well, they can reclaim their power.
We even see the beats of Murdock's version of the heroine journey:
Shift from feminine to masculine: Leo tries to save the day (he divides himself from his brothers to be the best and be a hero, he is still tied to his family)
Identification wtih masculine: Leo works harder and harder at each failure to be a hero. He takes his brothers to the tower and they fail again for a bit like Leo failed earlier. He won't listen, he tries to be a hero. Which is also part of the round of trials. These are his obstacles culminating in Casey chewing him out.
I can keep going, but the beats match up. The more Leo leans into being a hero (which is solitary) the more he fails.
But ROTTMNT hits different than the other TMNT series and movies (to be fair they all hit different and all have their pluses and minuses). Visually, we all agree it was STUNNING. But more so, we see a very different version of Leo. Leonardo has traditionally been characterized as a confident leader (though he is still learning from Splinter and many times feels like a failure when something goes wrong).
Here, Leo isn't even the leader at the time. Raph is, but he went off to be a hero and because of that his brother is hurt/captured and now must take the mantle as leader when he hadn't been one before. Leo admits and faces his vulnerabilities more than once through the movie in a setting where lightheartedness has been the primary tone.
Leo's journey hits different in this movie than others because, to me, it's the most vulnerable we've seen him. Yes, when Leo is thrown through the window in 2003 and 2k12 and such, Leo is physically and emotionally vulnerable, but it is depicted many times as a solitary depression (inward emotion instead of an outward emotion like crying).
And for me... that was huge. The outward emotion. Yes it has happened before but between the animation and ALL THE BROTHERS emotions on their sleeves, this movie really hits the beats with a hammer to the heart.

Bay!TMNT X Brazilian!S/O - Part 1
A/N: @buc3t4l0v3r 's headcanon gave me inspiration to make these one-shots.
Warnings: none.
Sorry if there are grammar mistakes.
Having a foreign girlfriend has its challenges, good mostly. The great mix of cultures and different languages brings feelings onto everything. It's life changing utmost. Leonardo knows how amazing is having a foreign girlfriend, the one who came from Brazil, the country that he and his brothers have traveled to stop Bebob and Rocksteady in a failed mission.
He couldn't believe that. You? From Brazil? That's awesome. Leonardo has heard some interesting things about Brazil. Football, samba, caipirinha (he still wondering what it is), coxinha (this man loves it, it's the most delicious thing he's ever eaten in his life), carnival, beaches. The famous cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
But, after meeting his girlfriend, his thoughts about Brazil have expanded, figuring out that this tropical country is not composed just wtih those stereotypes people is used to talk about.
"Where I came from, Leo, there's a cultural drink called Chimarrão."
The leader glanced at you, trying to form an image in his mind from the weird word which just came out of your mouth.
"What?"
"Chimarrão. It's a cultural drink of the Southern Brazil state: Rio Grande do Sul—Great Southern River in English.
"Cool. How it looks like?"
You smiled softly, picking your phone up and searching for pics of it.
Eyes wide and mouth open, Leo leans foward to analyze the two images you have searched. That's odd, he thinks. "And... what is it, exactly? It seems like tea in a bowl with a metal straw supported into it."
"That's right. It is like green tea, technically it is. There are other types of flavors to drink though, but this green powder is more common to consume. We have to drink it when it's hot, very hot. Or there's no gaúcho vibes." You giggled, looking down at your phone's screen, scrolling right along the many pics of your cultural drink.
Suddenly you feel Leonardo's eyes in you once again. Slowly you turn your eyes up at him, caughting his powerful stare at you. Shivering, you punch his bicep "Stop looking at me like that!".
""Ga-" what?"
You lift an eyebrow "What?"
"You said something before "vibes". Like, if we drink Chi- Shi- that thing when its hot, we may get Ga...?
"Oh, yes! Sorry. It's Gaúcho. When someone borns in Rio Grande do Sul state, this person is called Gaúcho, or Gaúcha for women. I'm a Gaúcha".
Leonardo smiled while nod. He loves when you mix your native leaguege with English, it's cute. "Can you... tell me about your homeland often? You know, I'm very interested to learn about it" he smiled, lifting his hand to touch your cheek. He knew that Brazilians are very touching, they don't get bother when someone else touches them, with education and respect of course.
"Of course, meu amor (my love). I'll tell you everything about my homeland".
Leonardo reaches and places his lips over your, making you let out a soft moan.
"How do you say "I love you" in Brazilian portuguese?"
"Eu te amo. Or "Te amo" for short" you smiled, nuzzilng your nose against his snot, his adorable smile curling over his lips.
"Te amo, meu amor" Leo kisses your nose, then your forehead.
"Também te amo, líder destemido (I love you too, fearless leader). I will prepare Chimarrão for us. I'm pretty sure you're gonna like it."
"Can't wait." he smiled.
Michelangelo knows how exciting and amazing is have a foreign girlfriend. It is the first time in his life that he meets someone who comes from another country; new leaguage, new culture, new people, new places to know; he finds amazing how astonishing and divergent is the world.
"Angelcakes, sweet cheeks, cupcake, lollipop, sugar, my angel!" Mikey called from a distance as run toward where you are, holding a paper in between his massive three-fingered hands. "I need your help!"
Your eyes went wide while turn your face to him, wondering what he is planning now. "Wow hey, babe. What's going on?"
He reached you, panting hardly through his from the quick run he just had. He lifted his index finger as low his head to mention to you wait till he remover his strenght. "I- I need your help to-" He took another breathe "Translate a song." He handed the paper to you, a drop of sweat sliding over your forehead.
"First of all, breath. Second, sit down while I translate it to-" You stopped, staring down at the song's lyrics.
Mikey took the first seat he found and relaxed, still having a small difficult to breath normally.
Your eyes scanned the paper, still questioning the current song he has brought to you to translate.
"So?" He asked after a moment, tilting his head. "I was listening to it and I liked it, so I got curious about the meaning. I wanted to know the teanslation of this spanish song."
"Mikey, this song is in Spanish."
"Yeah, I know. I just said it is Spanish."
"No, I mean, I'm not too good in Spanish." You shrugged.
"But isn't Spanish your native leaguege?"
You froze, looking neutrally at your boyfriend. "No... It is not."
His eyes moved at random points around, a river of questions filling his mind "What's your native leaguege, then?"
"Brazilian Portuguese." You smiled, watching his face changing his confusion expression to surprised.
"But, aren't they the same thing? Even a bit?"
You couldn't help but giggle. Of course you had never mocked at him about this leagueges information. Since you arrived in USA years ago you have heard several things from your North-Americans friends about your country that you're already used to hear about. You know how confusing is the mix of languages to some of them.
"Yeah, it's a little bit. But that doesn't mean they are the same thing. Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish are different languages, even sounding similar to each other."
"Could you bring some examples? What is the same and what is different?" Mikey asked, his baby face making you melt by cuteness. "Of course!" You made your way and took a seat besides him "Alright, um... Menina and Chica. Both mean "Girl" in each language but there's an exception. We don't use Chica as noun in Brazil; it is valid as a name or nickname, though. For example, my sister's cat name is Chica. That person's name is Chica. But we never call someone "Chica" to refer as a girl."
"Oh, I got it." He nodded.
You nodded back, smiling. "Well, what more examples I can bring up..." You tap your index finger on your chin, thinking. "Moon in Spanish is Luna, while in the Brazilian Portuguese it is called Lua. Sun is "Sol" in both leagueges, it's the same word. Also, we must be carefull with Falses Congnats. It is the great reason of why North-Americans find Spanish as same leaguage as Brazilian Portuguese."
Mikey's face turned into a thoughtful one "Interesting. Donnie has teached me about Falses Congnats before. That's why I found both leaguages the same!''
"Hehe I feel you. It's was a bit difficult to me to learn Spanish because of that similarity of words."
''So... Can you help me with this translate?'' he pointed at the paper in your hands ''And can you teach me about your leaguage with Brazilian Songs?''
You chuckled ''Yes! I'd love to! But I'm not fluent in Spanish..."
He waved his hand "Nah, that's okay. We could ask Donnie for some help if you don't feel confortable to teach me in your own."
"Done. Thanks Mikey."
He gives you a quick kiss on your lips.
