SO: Would you love me if I was a worm?

Y/n: Honey, if a family or a friend of mine told me that they pulled a "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" except if it was called "Honey I Shrunk Your Significant Other" I would devote my life and some time to you. You know what I would do? I would get you your own enclosure to put you in and make sure no creature would hurt you and I would whisper sweet nothings to you like I always do. If someone so happened to try and use you as bait? I would kill them for you and spill their blood all over whatever new enclosure I had put you in as it sprung new plant life for you to thrive in. I would feed you so well that you would grow to be like the bullworm in that episode of Sponge Bob and depending on how much time you had left? I would do extensive research on how to keep you alive and then take it a step further, my love, I would work so hard to make you thrive and grow so big that you'd become the size of the worm from the game Gears of War 3 and then if the government tried to kill you from the inside I would embed myself into your body and defend you like the very blood cells that try to prevent you from getting sick.

A little bit ago, my boyfriend brought this question to me into the retaliation of 'would you love me if I was a worm?'

He asked me, 'who do you love more, me now, or me when we met?'

It was a playful question, I knew he didn't mean any harm against it, and we were both stoned so arguing my point was like a mouse trying to fly. But later, both sober, he posed the question again while we were cuddled in my room. And this time I could answer it. I told him my love was never-ending, ever expanding, and always encapsulating. I love him with my whole body, just as I did when I first met him. To me, he is my breath, my morning, my night.

When we first starting dating, my family used to have this term we used quite frequently, 'I love you to the moon and back'. And as I got older, I adopted it into our relationship. I was scared to admit those words to him on our first true date, but on the next one he gave me a necklace engraved in those words. He didn't know the meaning behind that action, or why I was crying, but he held me tight and kissed those tears away to whisper the same words back to me. It sounds fake, and cheesy I know. But it was the most real moment to me.

Those words, the true meaning is I love you with every beat of my heart, since your heart pumps enough blood to get you to the moon and back. And therefore, he loves me with his entire body. So when he posed that question to me the second time, I said all that. And probably not in a way that would've made as much sense as this post. But still, I spilled my words against his chest in prayer he understood. And he did.

He looked at me with a softness I could never describe, and all that fell from his stupid lips was 'oh.. I finally understand.' I laughed so hard that I almost started crying, not only at how dumb he can be, but at the fact he deemed that a good enough time to start tickling me.

I will one day, marry that man. But don't ever spill my secret :)
